"Over 100 years ago, a Swedish doctor named Axel Munthe visited Capri and loved it so much that he built a home on the ruins of an ancient chapel. Today, Villa San Michele includes a small museum filled with Roman, Etruscan, and Egyptian artifacts, a garden with sweeping views of the Sorrentine Peninsula and Vesuvius, and the 1,000-year-old Barbarossa Castle that’s perched on the mountainside. After exploring the grounds, climb the steps to Café Casa Oliv for a glass of prosecco and a slice of a chocolate torte. In the summer, the cafe hosts evening drinks after 7pm—they call it Apertivo con Billy, a tribute to Munthe’s pet monkey who was known for stealing sips of whiskey." - Gillian McGuire

We stayed for two nights in this lovely, reasonably priced B&B. The location was great - villa San Michele, the chair lift up Monte Solaro and the main square of Anacapri all within about 2 minutes walk. The owner was lovely. He was very knowledgeable and gave us some great tips which really helped us out as well as some maps. The room was very spacious and clean and included a hairdryer, body wash/shampoo, a TV, air conditioning, a fridge, coffee machine and even some cooking utensils. The breakfast was great and included plenty of options such as ham and cheese croissants, plain croissants, sweet pastries, chocolate cake, bread, yogurt and juice. The owner also brought us out a pot of tea and cappuccino. He also gave us a little bag so we could grab some things before we left for the ferry when we checked out. We wouldn't hesitate to revisit the beautiful island of Capri and hope to come back to this wonderful B&B.

Antonio was a great host! Our room was clean with everything one could need and the garden is beautiful. Breakfast was prepared for us every morning at a time we got to choose. On our last morning we had to leave early in order to catch a flight and Antonio came in before the usual breakfast hours to serve us breakfast, which he did not have to do. Would highly recommend! Location was very convenient in Anacapri, close to some very good restaurants!

We like it to travel all over the world and we like it to stay in B&B's. This was one of the best B&B's I've ever stayed! The B&B is situated in a quiet part of Anacapri 100 / 200 meters from the big square. The view over Capri and the sea is amazing! The garden is great but especially the room is wonderful. Very big and luxurious for the price! We hope to stay again in this B&B!

This is so beautiful, calm and cute place! The home is located near to centre of Anacapri but in quite area. Everything is clean, the landlord is very nice and helpfull. I'm in love with that place and hope to come back.

Very good location : close to villa San Michele . Chair lift to Monte Solaro is two minutes walk . View from pick is amazing . Return we go by foot direct to B&B...||The owner is lovely.Breakfast was good.Coffe machine and tea is for free all day :)

We found this easy to find once we got off the Anacapri bus from the port.|The room we had was superb and the staff were unobtrusive and very helpful.|We would stay here again if visiting Capri.|It was in a perfect location for walks and buses to all of the island and a few minutes walk to the chairlift.|Fantastic.
