Mead, cider & beer in industrial space with board games & trivia

"This local meadery embraces an unfussy, come-as-you-are aesthetic and offers a limited-run pumpkin spice mead made by adding a pumpkin spice syrup to a keg of mead — there’s only one keg, so it moves quickly." - Courtney Burk

"While B. Nektar’s primary focus is mead on tap and in the bottle, fans visit the tasting room to try one-off beers and dry ciders. There’s also, of course, the flagship brew Zombie Killer — a hard cider blended with honey and cherries. The Dude’s Rug has Chai spices and is 100 percent gluten-free." - Eater Staff

"I note that B. Nektar, the Ferndale meadery, says it will donate 100 percent of tips to Ferndale Pride in June; the business eliminated tipping for staff in 2015." - Monica Williams

"Ferndale is a hub of great meads. Amongst those venerable taprooms, B. Nektar stands out for its unfussy, come-as-you are aesthetics and highly drinkable carbonated honey wines. Find everything here from meads to beer to cider (and in between varieties like Cyser). Don’t overlook the Kill All the Golfers, a black tea and lemon flavored mead that will make you want to order a pitcher. The taproom is open, but folks can also take something to-go, order curbside, or bottles them shipped. The taproom doesn’t have a kitchen, but allows outside food and occasionally hosts food trucks." - Eater Staff

"B. Nektar Meadery is open from noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Sunday for curbside pickup or carryout purchases. Place an order online or call when you arrive. The taproom does not allow refills of bottles or growlers at this time due to the novel coronavirus. Check out the full selection of meads and ciders at Upserve." - Brenna Houck
