Food took very long to come out. Tables were dirty upon arrival yet we were supposed to seat ourselves. 18% gratuity imposed. We ordered 2 orders of shrimp and grits and they were COMPLETELY different in taste, appearance and quantity. When we inquired why, the response was the grits came from 2 different batches. That doesn’t explain why one order contained less food. I wouldn’t return.

B Sweet Bistro & Bakery is WAY more than their desserts. Even better than the sweets is the FOOD. Some of the best gumbo and sweet & spicy wings I’ve ever had! New on their menu is the seafood beignets, it is the perfect combination of sweet and savory and I highly recommend!

Had the shrimp and grits. My wife had the catfish and grits. The grits for both were amazing. Perfect compliment to delicious catfish and shrimp. The grits were so good that dipped my daughter’s po boy in them to finish off what she couldn’t eat. A hard rain started while we ate, so we lingered and enjoyed some banana pudding and another Diet Coke for dessert. Come for the grits and try some other stuff while you’re here.

Had a 7 hour layover in NOLA and wanted to try some of the local food. My uber driver told me he was going to take me to the best place for gumbo in the whole French quarter and he was NOT lying. I then went and spent the next few hours on Bourbon Street and in Jackson square but came back here for a seafood beignet that somehow outdid the gumbo. Service was outstanding and the whole atmosphere was perfect

!!! 📢 If you don't have time for my story, just stop reading..... GO! Go grab your car keys, book that plane ticket, or hop on a train—whatever it takes to get yourself to B Sweet Bistro & Bakery in New Orleans! What started as a simple coffee run before my flight home, turned into an unforgettable feast that filled not just my stomach, but my spirit! Y'ALL... everything I ate was simply amazing! The gumbo was a revelation—packed with sausage, crab, chicken, and shrimp, and kissed with a pop of green onions that made every bite sing. The catfish? Huge, crispy, FRESH, and absolutely perfect. And those seafood beignets? OMG! An explosion of flavor, stuffed with crab meat and topped with a sauce that felt like a love letter from the kitchen. I know great food. I promise you this IS it! But beyond the incredible food, there was something even more special: the warmth and kindness of Ms. Brittney, who went above and beyond in a way that I’ll always cherish. We didn’t just exchange pleasantries—we had a conversation that felt divinely timed, like something ordained. She truly understood the assignment, delivering not just a meal, but an experience that restored my love for New Orleans and reminded me of the beauty in intentional care. P.s. I brought some red beans and rice home for my mother, and after tasting them, she asked me (and I quote) "...when are you going back to get some more!" P.p.s. The ONLY thing B Sweet could, would, or possibly should do different..... get us Georgia Boys some Red Hot hot sauce to go on top of that Catfish. Lol.🤣 Honestly though, the fish is so dang-on good and fried so dawg-on well, I really don't even care! 💪🏾💯

Hey, real talk, this was the best dining experience I have had during my trips to New Orleans. Where to begin…… First, the seafood stuffed beignets were amazing - full of seafood and great sauce. Next were the 704 wings!!!! A perfect amount of sweetness and spice. Next, the freaking seafood gumbo!!!! I finally found gumbo that I think rivals, and perhaps surpasses, Pappa Deaux gumbo. Yup, there is more. We got the Catfish Marco Gras and again, that catfish was the best I’ve had since in NO. The ‘stew’ twist to the catfish Marci Gras was great. Last, plenty of sweets to ease any craving! I just want to add that the owner , Brittney was warm and very accommodating! Overall, this place is a deserving 5 star!!!!

This spot is a gem. Coming from Florida where the fish is plentiful I had catfish. 10/10 do recommend. And the seafood stuffed beignets my lord downright scrumptious and full of flavor. If you ever grace New Orleans make sure you stop by. It’s not too crowded. A nice lil vibe. The owner is super friendly and exudes boss like energy! Was prompt with the food and came to make sure everything was to our liking. She came around and spoke to us and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. I will be returning on my trip to Nola. I love NOLA for the culture and the FOOD. This place gives exactly that! The food was 10/10. The atmosphere is relaxing/chill. I didn't expect the food to slap like it did LOL. My husband came here years ago, and wanted me try it. I told him this recommendation erased all the bad food recommendations he ever gave in the past. All is forgiven! He had the red beans and rice-delicious! I had the catfish Mardi Gras-mouthwatering! We got desserts to go...chocolate chip cookies, peach cobbler, sweet potato beignets, and strawberry cheesecake. My husband loved the cobbler and cookies over the cheesecake. I liked the beignets and cheesecake more. It all depends on your preference, but all were tasty. Add this to your MUST HAVE list when traveling to New Orleans.

Yelp
King cake - very moist, but had no flavor. The icing tasted similar to other bakeries king cake icing. A little overwhelming for the underwhelming cake. Mardi Gras mamba vanilla cake - slice of cake was gorgeous. Cake was moist and had a bit of the vanilla taste. The icing tasted like sugar, not very good. I ate the cake without the icing because it was better that way,

Yelp
We decided to come here to support a small business, and we are beyond thrilled we did. The Beignet options (Traditional, Savory, or Sweet) are delicious. We ordered the Traditional (to compare with the super busy coffee and beignet place on Decatur) and the sweet potato...because it was too early in the day to have lump crab and shrimp. They were far superior here than the famous place! First, they are made to order. Second, they are not BATHING in powder sugar. Third, they are gently crisped, they don't taste like oil, have just the right amount of fluff and firmness! Fourth, the friendliness, care, and thoughtfulness of the owner, Brittney, is well shown in her artistic approach and while working with customers. I will be back...and can't wait to try her chicken, catfish, red beans & rice, and salads! FREE street Parking out front, which can be tricky at OTHER places-but not here. Inside is cute and perfect to grab a bite or wait for your freshly made food. MANY sweet options for a quick grab and go also.

Yelp
Stopped in thanks to Yelp and the fact I've never had a Mardi Gras cake. It's dark with music playing loud. You'd never know this was a bakery. Cake slices are huge and they also have bread puddings to go. I opted for a Strawberry cake slice that was pink and looked like it had just come out fresh. It was very enjoyable and the $12 price tag probably matches its larger size. I wanted to buy cupcakes for an event but thought they were too expensive at $18/tray. I'm sure they are delicious but just didn't want to spend that much. Like the other reviewers say, they have food. Even at opening, it's a nighttime nightclub vibe.

Yelp
Needed my king cake fix in a hurry on a Monday and it was the most delicious treat!! They got me a fresh slice and it did not disappoint.

Yelp
Y'all, I was that customer. I probably had them pulling out their hair when I had an overnight request for a dozen custom big bird cupcakes. This is what happens when you see a pinterest photo at random and just have to get them made for a friend. I messaged Brittney with my request and she was more than able to accommodate my ridiculous request. These weren't easy cupcakes btw! They had fondant elements for the beaks and eyes and each cupcake had icing features that spanned out. My goodness were they gorgeous though! i kept staring at my box upon pickup. Just know though that BSweets is located within the other bakery shop in the same center. Don't let it throw you off. Her pricing was more than fair since it included an overnight request. Thank you again for bringing these to a reality!!

Yelp
I visited the bistro this past Sunday. I ordered the fish and grits which were extremely good. Once I was done I got a red velvet cookie to enjoy while I went espresso martini hopping through the quarters. The feel of the place is very welcoming and the staff are courteous of their patrons. Overall a 10/10 experience.

Yelp
The owner was so sweet that she made us beignets at the closing hour and they were. So delicious. Just needed less powdered sugar for 3 beignets. I did purchase a peach cobbler, but there was more crust than cobbler.

Yelp
If you are looking for an authentic King cake during Marci Gras, look no further. Always in stock since they bake them in the store. Taste is delicious. They even put ours in a box so that we could travel with it easier.

Yelp
I have been a customer for a few years. Brittney is so sweet and really caters to her clients. I've order cakes super late at least twice and she has accommodated me. She is a sweet heart and always responds when I text. Her workers are always so nice too. If you prepay, they bring ur order to your car and even give you utensils to dig in right there....lol. She loves what she does and it shows through her cakes. They are as beautiful as they are delicious. We also use to get cake jars from her when she was baking from home.... delicious and a real treat to give as gifts. Now she has upgraded and is in a shop and does cake slices in addition to extravagant cake designs. We travel near and far for her cakes. I will never loose weight as long as she is in business! Recently due to COVID-19 she had a cake giveaway for like 10 seniors. They had to write an essay and she ended up choosing 20 graduating seniors and gifted each of them with a cake, bracelet, cash, airbrushed graduation cap and more. All out the goodness of her heart. This is amazing and I will always support someone who is willing to pay it forward. Awesome job and always great customer service! No matter how big her business grows, still humble, professional, honest, and a good person.
