B Sweet Bistro & Bakery

I visited New Orleans from Houston and obviously had to try out the gumbo. After a bit of tiktok research I ended up at B sweets bistro and was definitely not disappointed. I got the gumbo and the savory seafood beignets and everything was absolutely delicious. My friend got the red beans and rice and it was most definitely the best I’ve ever had. The service was awesome everyone inside was so friendly and even gave me suggestions on where to eat next during my visit. I talked with the owner and she was so sweet you have to check this place out. You won’t regret it!

B Sweet Bistro is a hidden gem in New Orleans! From the moment you step in, the warm, inviting atmosphere wraps around you like a comforting embrace. The vibe is both lively and relaxed, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal. The music was on point also. The food is absolutely fantastic! Each dish is a delightful blend of flavors, and you can really taste the passion and creativity that goes into every plate. I highly recommend trying the signature Seafood Stuffed Beignet — it was simply divine! What truly sets B Sweet apart is the personal touch from the chef. During our visit, she stopped by our table to chat, sharing insights about the dishes. It made our dining experience feel special and memorable. If you’re looking for a place that combines great food with a friendly atmosphere, B Sweet Bistro is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return! ---

Hidden treasure. Here for the Falcons vs Saints game and this was recommended by a local. He did not disappoint with his suggestion. When I say the food is great, that’s an understatement. Everything we ate (2 days in a row) was full of flavor and the consistency in the portions is what makes it worth the money and the wait. My new Must Go spot in New Orleans. The food is great, in general. You MUST try the seafood stuffed beignets if you’re looking for a savory treat. They are incredibly herbaceous and reasonably priced for the amount of meet. Follow up with the bananas foster stuffed beignets for dessert. You will not regret it and you may not feel generous. So, order accordingly!!! I was so excited about food that I didn’t even get a chance to take a photo of everything. Do not cheat yourself by missing out on wings. The sweet and spicy wings will knock you off of your feet and you’ll be ready write home about it, for sure!

You must try the gumbo! It is the real deal! The Crawfish beignets were the bomb, too!!! The owner is very sweet and back there cooking up a storm and serving you with a smile. The young lady at the cash register was not pleasant at all. I absolutely would recommend if you want some authentic NOLA eats.

THIS WAS BY FAR THE BEST PLACE WE VISITED! The service, the attention to detail, the taste and temperature of the food, EVERYTHING was absolutely delightful! We were stopping by NO in route to another city and my God…so happy we did! Our table had chicken & waffles, gumbo, red beans & rice, and to top it off we were given seafood and sweet potato beignets. Every single dish was delicious and the owner was so beautiful inside and out! Such an intimate setting. As we walked in we were greeted and treated with the best hospitality! From beginning to end, it was incredible! The kids and adults equally enjoyed every second and every bite! 😋 You will regret it if you don’t stop by! 😌

Nice and cozy bistro. They had desserts of a few on display that looked very moist, pretty and delicious. The restaurant is very clean! The owner had an event going on our visit and they were still able to take our orders and continue to do what was needed for the event that was going on. We order the seafood stuffed beignets as we wanted to try something good since I had been wanting to visit for a while. We got it to go as the Presentation didn't fail. Nicely made, HOT and full of seafood!!! Not your average just bread, these were filled with crabmeat and crawfish, topped with fried shrimp with cream sauce. We didn’t want anything too heavy bc we were going for a walk. The bistro is in a GREAT SAFE LOCATION mins to the French quarters and Congo square. The owner was very nice as she was literally working everything with her team! (I seen this with my own eyes) lady even took out her own trash happily, I love to see that! A woman (CEO) playing many roles humbly. Her daughter worked the register in which she had great customer service as well. Didn’t skip a beat! We Will be back for a main course and dessert! Thank you!

YOU LOOKING FOR GUMBO?? Come here! Deadass! This was so incredibly delicious. Also, if you like your food hot, then yeah pull up! We had the catfish and the gumbo and it was so well done. Thank you all for the amazing service!

King cake - very moist, but had no flavor. The icing tasted similar to other bakeries king cake icing. A little overwhelming for the underwhelming cake. Mardi Gras mamba vanilla cake - slice of cake was gorgeous. Cake was moist and had a bit of the vanilla taste. The icing tasted like sugar, not very good. I ate the cake without the icing because it was better that way,

Stopped in thanks to Yelp and the fact I've never had a Mardi Gras cake. It's dark with music playing loud. You'd never know this was a bakery. Cake slices are huge and they also have bread puddings to go. I opted for a Strawberry cake slice that was pink and looked like it had just come out fresh. It was very enjoyable and the $12 price tag probably matches its larger size. I wanted to buy cupcakes for an event but thought they were too expensive at $18/tray. I'm sure they are delicious but just didn't want to spend that much. Like the other reviewers say, they have food. Even at opening, it's a nighttime nightclub vibe.

We decided to come here to support a small business, and we are beyond thrilled we did. The Beignet options (Traditional, Savory, or Sweet) are delicious. We ordered the Traditional (to compare with the super busy coffee and beignet place on Decatur) and the sweet potato...because it was too early in the day to have lump crab and shrimp. They were far superior here than the famous place! First, they are made to order. Second, they are not BATHING in powder sugar. Third, they are gently crisped, they don't taste like oil, have just the right amount of fluff and firmness! Fourth, the friendliness, care, and thoughtfulness of the owner, Brittney, is well shown in her artistic approach and while working with customers. I will be back...and can't wait to try her chicken, catfish, red beans & rice, and salads! FREE street Parking out front, which can be tricky at OTHER places-but not here. Inside is cute and perfect to grab a bite or wait for your freshly made food. MANY sweet options for a quick grab and go also.

Needed my king cake fix in a hurry on a Monday and it was the most delicious treat!! They got me a fresh slice and it did not disappoint.

Y'all, I was that customer. I probably had them pulling out their hair when I had an overnight request for a dozen custom big bird cupcakes. This is what happens when you see a pinterest photo at random and just have to get them made for a friend. I messaged Brittney with my request and she was more than able to accommodate my ridiculous request. These weren't easy cupcakes btw! They had fondant elements for the beaks and eyes and each cupcake had icing features that spanned out. My goodness were they gorgeous though! i kept staring at my box upon pickup. Just know though that BSweets is located within the other bakery shop in the same center. Don't let it throw you off. Her pricing was more than fair since it included an overnight request. Thank you again for bringing these to a reality!!

I visited the bistro this past Sunday. I ordered the fish and grits which were extremely good. Once I was done I got a red velvet cookie to enjoy while I went espresso martini hopping through the quarters. The feel of the place is very welcoming and the staff are courteous of their patrons. Overall a 10/10 experience.

The owner was so sweet that she made us beignets at the closing hour and they were. So delicious. Just needed less powdered sugar for 3 beignets. I did purchase a peach cobbler, but there was more crust than cobbler.

If you are looking for an authentic King cake during Marci Gras,look no further. Always in stock since they bake them in the store. Taste is delicious. They even put ours in a box so that we could travel with it easier.

I have been a customer for a few years. Brittney is so sweet and really caters to her clients. I've order cakes super late at least twice and she has accommodated me. She is a sweet heart and always responds when I text. Her workers are always so nice too. If you prepay, they bring ur order to your car and even give you utensils to dig in right there....lol. She loves what she does and it shows through her cakes. They are as beautiful as they are delicious. We also use to get cake jars from her when she was baking from home.... delicious and a real treat to give as gifts. Now she has upgraded and is in a shop and does cake slices in addition to extravagant cake designs. We travel near and far for her cakes. I will never loose weight as long as she is in business! Recently due to COVID-19 she had a cake giveaway for like 10 seniors. They had to write an essay and she ended up choosing 20 graduating seniors and gifted each of them with a cake, bracelet, cash, airbrushed graduation cap and more. All out the goodness of her heart. This is amazing and I will always support someone who is willing to pay it forward. Awesome job and always great customer service! No matter how big her business grows, still humble, professional, honest, and a good person.
