New Orange County Restaurant Is a Mexican Stunner With Lots of Tequila - Eater LA

"B Sweet is now open at Topanga Social, the west Valley’s newest culinary hub. Chef-owner Barb Batiste’s massively popular Filipino dessert bar first started in West LA before expanding to the Koreatown area. The new west Valley location will keep daily hours inside the food hall, which continues to ramp up with openings, including the coming arrival of the Pie Room by Curtis Stone." - Farley Elliott

Google
Filipino heaven of desserts!!! The ube and pandan halo halo are very good. The portion is humongous for $8.00. The cheesecake ube is very moist and creamy. The big revelation was the ube bread pudding. It is a moist, flavorful, and perfect amount of sweetness. The staff were friendly!

Google
I was so excited to try the lemon cheesecake but I could barely eat it. It was sour and like it had curdled, the texture and taste were awful. The glazed donut bread pudding was like eating cheap grocery store donuts mashed together. And even the service was subpar as the workers were just chatting the whole time. Overall, save your money and eat somewhere else.

Google
Amazing halo halo! Delicious chocolate chip banana bread! These were our orders today. We will definitely try the other menu items. Proudly enjoyed their Filipino dessert and appreciated how they’ve created an uplifted this dessert cuisine for everyone to enjoy.

Google
I tried their ube cheesecake from Earl sandwich and it was SOOOO good. I’ve been craving it and decided to come directly to their spot but it didn’t taste the same😭 . The consistency was more of a bread type mixed cheesecake and the flavor was artificially overpowering. Truth be told it just wasn’t that good and not what I remember eating .

Google
Heard a lot about this place so I decided to try it out. I wanted bread pudding but they were out so I may need to come back. I got a cheesecake instead. It was a good cheesecake. It wasn't mind blowing but it was yummy and a large portion. A bit more than I'd want to pay but it was a large slice. The service was very friendly. I do wish they had some seating rather than pick up only but I expected that going in.

Google
Ordered from here through Uber eats 2 cheesecakes and put for both food allergy for gluten. When they arrived and I started eating it, I immediately got sick. I called them to make sure the cakes are gluten free and she said she double checked with the kitchen but they said it’s not gluten free but they were not able to cancel the order on their end. And I said so you just decided to send a person that has a gluten allergy the cakes anyways? Without calling or any heads up? She said she called which was a lie no one has called me. It was also not noted anywhere on the cakes or on the packaging. I‘m so shocked and will definitely take legal action

Google
We came from hella far outta town to try this place. 2 out of the 4 items were good. The other 2 lacked flavor like if I didn't order it i wouldn't know what I ate. I was most excited for the peach cobbler. But no traces of peaches. Nor did it taste even like a peach. I would describe it as kfc biscuits smashed up into a paste and served warm. 2 hour drive for total let down. But the 2 cakes we got were pretty good. Is it enough to get me back? Nah. But good luck to sifting through to find what's actually good.

Google
Not only did they call to see if we wanted a replacement for 1 item they were sold out of, but nice and friendly too. Then, the cake slices came that we ordered. It's so darn good I almost hate to eat it. It's amazing and perfect and as a trained pastry chef I can honestly say it's one of the best I ever had. Bravo B Sweet! You guys rock!!

Yelp
Cakes are cool with unique flavors, but too too too sweet! It's overwhelming and makes it difficult to enjoy the flavors. It's a hole-in-the-walk place, and while the cakes and desserts are cool to try, the service was slow and took forever to get my order when I had placed it ahead of time.

Yelp
Filipino dessert heaven!!! The halo halo is perfection. The ube cheesecake is creamy and moist. You can really taste the ube. Our favorite is the ube bread pudding. The sweetness is just right. Overall, we are totally satisfied! The prices are very reasonable too.

Yelp
B Sweet has entered Koreatown! Watch out ya'll! I'm here to pick up their ube cheesecake for a friend that got engaged recently after her fiancé tipped me off with her favorite being ube. Can't wait to bring it camping with us. The space is pretty big with comfortable couches and seating for the fam. It has a lot of potential after discovering they've only occupied this space for 2 months. The service is just getting started and it looks like they're adjusting to their roles too. Give it some time and there looks like potential for this to be something more in K-town. I'm just happy that B Sweet is here on the Eastside and I don't have to drive all the way to Sawtelle to enjoy its yummy goodness.

Yelp
Stopped in here because warm bread pudding is my favorite. I had the ube bread pudding with extra pandan sauce. It was dense, warm and very sweet. Definitely worth trying and would be interested in trying some other flavors too!

Yelp
Me and my friend tried BSWEET for the first time . i thought of ordering a halo halo but it wasn't available cus they didn't have ice so i change my mind and , i ordered a UBE CHEESECAKE instead. I did ordered a red velvet bread pudding too since it's my favorite flavor and had ordered coffee that comes in a can , so when we got into our car, first thing i tried was the bread pudding , i didn't taste anything , there is no sweetness in it. i moved on to the ube cheesecake , but it didn't taste anything , no sweetness. the more i was disappointed was she gave me a expired coffee .

Yelp
I FOUND A FOREIGN OBJECT IN MY ORDER. I purchased the ooey gooey cake and in a bite I took, there was a piece of plastic/paper in it. I called, they said they can't do refunds over the phone and they suggested that I email. I emailed and had to follow up twice in order to get a response! She apologized and offered a refund, I agreed and yet again. No response. That was over a month ago and still nothing. I think it's strange that a business would operate like that. It's not about the money at this point, it's the principle. I'm never going back again. The cake wasn't even good enough for me to return anyway.

Yelp
I was excited to see there's a B Sweet location in KTown since I was in the area. Sitting was not available when I was there. But the shop is cute. The lady greeted me as soon as I walked in. I ordered halo halo and ube bread pudding for take out. I had a cooler bag and had to drive to Beverlywood. I put the halo halo in the fridge when I got home at 2:30. I ate it at 5:30 and the ice did not melt at all. In fact it was super hard to mix. I added ube ice cream as I mixed. I think it made the treat more flavorful. However, I was disappointed at the small amount of ingredients. All I get was the hard ice with every bite . The ube bread pudding was super moist. I was surprised that it did not have a form. It seems like it was scooped into the container like ice cream. I Had to add chocolate to have a bit more sweetness. Frankly I liked the sweets I got at their west LA location better.

Yelp
Loveeeeee their glazed donut bread pudding with xtra drizzle and whipped cream OTS!! also the ube bread pudding is fantastic, also with an extra side of drizzle!! I love the pandan addition. Indulge!!! Cheers!!

Yelp
Been here a few times and tried almost everything on the menu. The deserts are a hit or miss but definitely sweet. The most recent visit, I got the pumpkin spice cake which is really good and probably better with a Cup of coffee. The cookie dough "cheesecake" is not at all a cheesecakes and more of a custard.

Yelp
After seeing this bakery posted on Instagram for years, I finally tried it! Stopped by not too long after opening. The menu is clear (though missing prices), and made choosing a dessert easy. I got the Ube Love cake slice. The slice was a good size, but that was the best part. The cake was dry as hell and the icing was awful, (tasted like food coloring). Maybe there's better options, but I'm so glad this was the only thing I bought!
google avatar

Yelp
I got the ube gooey butter cake and it really hit the spot. The cake tasted chocolaty and wasn't too sweet, which is a big factor for me. Ube in general has an earthy flavor and I thought that this had more of an ube essence rather than a taste. If you're new to ube, this is a good intro. I also liked the consistency of the cake, and they gave me a huge slice ($7). It reminded me of a slightly thinner version of a classic butter mochi cake. Also, just note that this place is only open on Saturday/Sundays. I also think that it's take-out only right now, but the desserts came out really fast!
google avatar

Ameerah A.

Yelp
The service was incredibly quick and the staff was very friendly, but unfortunately I've had way better cake. I couldn't even finish mine, and neither could anyone else. Maybe it was just a bad batch, but this cake just tasted like sugar to me with no flavor. The cake was very flaky and lacked moisture as well. It made for good pictures though!
google avatar

Yelp
I tried the strawberry shortcake. It wasn't good at all. It tasted like artificial strawberry like nesquick but worse. I took a couple of bites but couldn't eat it. The crust was burnt. It made me nauseous. And it cost $8. I wish i could get my money back. Im scared to try anything else they have

Yelp
Thank you B-Sweets Ktown...!! These girls are huge fans of this place :) This is our 4th time here and we shall be back soon!

Foodalicious X.

Yelp
dry cake with random hard bits. Way too sweet icing. The boba cheesecake was so gross and tasted just awful. Worst texture even though I normally love and am obsessed wiu bib. Like the boba came out of a can and was hard and old tasting. Everything was meh for the most part. I mean the cinnamon cake was okay but also dry and too sweet. They don't seem to be that great at baking, but I'm sure they can work on it.

Linda H.

Yelp
Came here for the pudding. Confetti pudding tasted like straight up bread with sprinkles. No flavor whatsoever. The only thing that was good was the plain vanilla ice cream we added on which isn't house made anyways.

King V.

Yelp
We finally made it to B Sweet to get dessert. My wife got the Oreo cake and I got the red velvet tres leches cake. Both cakes were very, very sweet. We did not like them enough to go back. The presentation is nice and the portions are a perfect size for the price.

Kai M.

Yelp
Not nearly as good as they look. I got the butterfinger tres leaches cake & it was sooo hard even with the liquid milk layer. And was plain in flavor with what taste like chocolate milk poured on top inside of actual 3 milks. I also purchased the chocolate chip banana loaf which barely had any banana flavor or even smell. The hot bread pudding may be better or what's needed as moisture is what they both missed. Sadly disappointed as I've been wanting to try this place for a while based off of their instagram.

Yelp
I was a huge fan of B Sweet's bread puddings and used to make the trek to Sawtelle to load up. I was really happy to see they opened up in Ktown. I've gotten dessert twice now from this location and it is not as good as it used to be. The bread puddings are flavorless. I read that there is now a central bakery in Culver City. I wonder if they changed the recipes or are using cheaper ingredients. Really disappointing to lose one of my favorite dessert spots.

Yelp
One of the yummiest things that I have had in a long while is their ube cheesecake. It's so smooth and rich in flavor. It's not overly heavy and the crust is just right. I wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy it but after a few bites of my husband's cheesecake, I didn't want to give it back. We agreed that next time we would have to buy 2 slices and share 'em. The bread puddings are yummy, especially because you can take 'em home and freeze 'em for a little bit. I really liked their glazed donut bread pudding. It was pretty sweet but not too over the top or anything. I haven't been here in a while since this most recent visit, 2 days or so ago, but I remember having yummy feelings about my last visit. So, I thought I'd pop in again. Nothing about this spot has really changed. They sell all their desserts packed and ready to go. They also have cold brewed coffee in their fridge. Cute, they have a cold brewed coffee machine outside their actual store. I didn't catch the price but it seemed pretty popular, folks were stopping by to check it out and take photos. The folks who work here are really sweet and are very quick, but friendly. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
***Catering Review*** I really, really wanted to love B Sweet and it pains me to write this review because I've had the opportunity to meet Barb in the flesh and take a tour of her company's kitchen. I'll admit, I let my guard down on protocol that my company normally wouldn't let slide, truly my bad. Here's the 411... There were SEVERAL indicators that should have been red flags for what was to come ahead. SHORT VERSION 1) No pricing for our order before/after our catering order was complete 2) $20 delivery charge & 20% service charge (this one was waived) 3) Not being reachable day of/interfered with on time delivery 4) Food not having ALL of the listed ingredients (plain pasta salad vs. Italian pasta salad) 5) "Full" pan of salad was actually 1/3 pan full 6) Quality of bread sucked (pieces of bread chucked off as people were eating sandwiches) 7) Average price per sandwich was $9 8) Unsatisfactory customer service & unresolved problem with our receipt LONG VERSION 1) Not getting pricing per tray/individual sandwich before confirming our catering order. The order was taken verbally with a promise of details by email. Owner said these were sent, but never responded with the invoice until after payment was taken by credit card. Cost break down had the following: flat charge for food, comp for service charge, deduction for problem item, and charge for delivery --no indication of how much each tray or individual item costs. 2) 20% service charge (waived for our first time order) and $20 delivery charge. Most places that we order over $600 with don't charge us these fees. Not a huge red flag, but something to be aware of if you regularly order catering. 3) Delivery was running late and they called us, no problem! But what wasn't acceptable was when we went to meet the delivery person, didn't have a phone number and couldn't find them in the agreed upon location. My group of 4 walked up and down the valet area while calling the only number we knew (B Sweet's business number aka Barb's cell phone) for a good 30 minutes before the delivery person realized that she should get out of the car to look for us. To top off the nonsense, she was dressed inappropriately for deliveries (given it was Halloween, but she was in a revealing cop dress). 4) The Italian pasta salad not having ALL of its ingredients inside is a huge problem. Without the red/yellow/green bell peppers, red onions and black olives, our pasta salad was NAKED. The upsetting part was that Barb said she personally made the pasta salad herself and that ALL of the ingredients were in there. Unfortunately I have 70 people who ate that pasta salad who can attest that there were no such delish sounding veggies in said Italian pasta salad. A $30 deduction was taken off our bill to cover the Italian pasta salad --in all of my previous catering orders with other companies; I have never had a pasta salad that was less than $70. 5) A full pan of organic mixed greens should fill a full pan, not a third of a pan at best. Compared to the pan of pasta salad, there was only 1/3 pan of salad. Oh and the cucumbers and tomatoes were sparse as well. 6) Quality of the bread was subpar. Since our food was handed to us 45 minutes late, delivery of the food was late to our meeting. As the meeting is going on, imagine 70 people eating their sandwiches and suddenly chunks of bread break off and fall to the floor (no joke). Now that's embarrassing! 7) Cost of salad and 65 sandwiches being $620. We ordered 3 types of sandwiches (Bird Bird/turkey, Chicken Pesto and Athena/veggie). After deducting the $30 for the pasta salad, let's assume that the full pan of salad costs $30; if I've done my math correctly; it leaves $590 for 65 sandwiches or roughly $9/sandwich. Note: number of sandwiches didn't match the receipt. There were far less of the expensive sandwiches (chicken pesto and Big Bird/turkey) than Athena/vegetarian. 8) Unsatisfactory customer service. After our event, Barb was not reachable by phone; she only reached out to us for payment when the credit card number she wrote down wasn't correct. Not only did she get rude with me and others at my work, she never apologized for the missing ingredients in the pasta salad or for her delivery person not making an effort to find us when we couldn't reach her. When the head of the department requested the itemized receipt, Barb got defensive and still has not provided it a week after our lunch. She is also keeps playing the blame game, blaming the customer in a he said/she said way (not very professional). I hope this review helps anyone who plans to place a future order with any company to be cautious of what is acceptable and professional.

Yelp
Congrats on winning the cookie showdown competition at Artwalk! As part of their sampling, i got to try their chocolate chip cookie with chocolate drizzle and a red velvet mini chocolate covered pie cookie thing. One of my faves, i really liked their RV treat. I look forward to trying their cute cupcakes!

Yelp
So many tasty desserts, I wanted one of each stat! I went with the glazed donut bread pudding and it was amazing! Hot, soft, gooey, cinnamoney, full of frosting and sugary goodness, loved it! Service is great, fast and friendly, they really know and love their stuff! They rotate the flavors of the bread pudding, can't wait to see what they have next time! Busy area, but we did find parking right away on the next street. Tons of gift ideas and cute stuff, I will be back!

Yelp
My friends and I were in the neighborhood and decided to try B Sweet. I've tried their Ube spread from Big Boi which they also own and I really love it! So, when I heard they have a dessert spot I really wanted to try. I was really looking forward to trying their Ube cookie but the staff said their menu change monthly and weekly. However, they still had great options so I decided to try their bread pudding, for to go, and their Ube coffee cake. My friends tried their Ube pudding, dine in which means it is already warmed up and ready to eat. They were able to top off their bread pudding with ice cream and they seem to have enjoyed it. As for the ube coffee cake, you can't really taste the "coffee" but the Ube really comes through. They aren't ridiculously priced like some other bakeries that sell Ube which is great however I only gave them 4 stars because of the location. It's really hard to find parking around Santa Monica and they only have this one location which makes it hard to get during certain hours. All in all, worth a try if you're an Ube lover (if you're not, they still have coffee and other chocolate cakes and pastries available.)

Yelp
Whether you are looking to B good or B bad, B Sweet is the way to go! From their eclectic and delicious deserts to their creative and yummy sandwiches, to-go meals, salads and hot dishes you really can't go wrong. They have excellent choices for large events as well as small birthday parties and other mid-size to smaller events. My personal favorites include the Red Velvet Cupcakes (especially the minis-they are the perfect size and they look so cute!) and the Oreo Cupcakes which are by far the best cupcakes I have ever had! Also the Banana chocolate chip bread is amazing! Keep up the good work! And B Sweet!
google avatar

Kennya B.

Yelp
It's all about the banana bread pudding. Man, that stuff was AMAZING! It was warm and moist and with some delicious whipped cream topped off with caramel sauce on top. Delicious! The service was also pretty sweet. The guy at the window was super friendly and took the time to talk to us and tell us about the product. I highly recommend it to satisfy your sweet tooth :)

Yelp
I work for UCLA and recently had the pleasure of working with Barb Batiste, owner of Bsweet and her wonderful team, on a medium scale catering event at the University. We ordered lunch for 75 faculty members, which included a variety of specialty sandwiches ("Almost" Prime Rib, Sweet Victory, Tuna's Twist - my favorite, love the sun-dried cranberries, Bulgogi Korean BBQ, The Club, Lion's Den, Burnin' Buffalo, Athena, and the Mediterranean), fabulously crafted salads (Chinese Chicken Salad, Caesar Salad and Tuna Pasta Salad - another favorite, the grapes add a crunch and a celebration of flavors with every bite), and of course, her exceptional delicious desserts (Red Devil Mini Cupcakes, Chocolate Chip Banana Bread - Our dean's favorite!, Lemony Bars, Killer Brownies, and Chocolaty Chip Cookies). Needless to say, by the end of the event there was nothing left! Barb Batiste's food is fabulous. She puts so much love into every cupcake that you can taste it in each bite. It is a pleasure working with her and her team!

Yelp
B Sweet has tacos that are themed towards different countries. I tried their tacos from a Taco event. I had the AMERICAN - which is shrimp and greens. It was alright. I love Shrimp but I wish they had more options there. They said they had Thai but not there. I'd love to have tried it. Maybe I will. They are worth giving it a shot since they had themed for each country.

Yelp
Thank god for the Chuck Wagon, the "B Sweets powered" food truck. Went to a food truck round up in the mood for a Po Boy. But the truck that specializes in them was out, even though I explicitly asked them not to run out of them. Sometimes nobody listens. Luckily, and unbeknownst to me, Chuck Wagon was there too, and lo, they were serving up Shrimp Po Boys. I dunno if they are better than the other place's, but what they had was pretty good, and certainly better than none at all. It had a sizeable amount of goodies in it, came on a soft french roll, and a side of tasty fries. So thanks fo saving my Po Boy fix. I look forward to trying out some ribs and brisket next time.

Yelp
I have to first and foremost say that Barb is the sweetest woman on the face of this earth. My fiance and I had the privilege of tasting some of her delicious treats. We first tried out the bread pudding at an Eat | See | Hear event in Pasadena and have been HUGE fans ever since. From her bread puddings to salted caramel cookies and cupcakes, they are all so amazing with a good balance of sweetness made using quality ingredients. I will continue to place orders for bread puddings in the future. My personal favorites: -chocolate chip banana bread pudding -strawberry waffle bread pudding -Red Velvet bread pudding Fiance's favorites: -Salted caramel bars -Red Velvet truffle? (To me it was more like a bon bon) -most of the bread puddings except the donut (too sweet) I only have one suggestion: due to her giving nature, it clearly shows that she bends over backwards to do a lot of the things herself and takes on too many projects. Her menu alone is waaaay too overwhelming which I can see how other areas like time sensitive occasions may not always be met. Hopefully, she gets additional help.
google avatar

Rico S.

Yelp
The triple chocolate cupcake was a mistake: glorified Hostess sans the white cream filling rather a overly sweet chocolate cream hidden under the thin chocolate frosting layer. The cupcake was not large, rather smaller than standard. It was disappointingly bland, dry and plainly cake-like. I was able to sample the vegan carrot cake, and I should've order that one instead!

Yelp
Overall, this place gets 5 stars compared to other cafeteria food but gets only 2 stars when compared to non-catered foods. The ING Cafe sells food from here (inside of the ING building on Santa Monica Blvd). Mediterranean sandwich (Grilled Portobello Mushroom, Eggplant, Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Red Peppers...) - This sandwich tastes good the 1st time, but I get sick of it quickly b/c it's too greasy. Popeye sandwich - Tastes okay. The bread is soft but not high quality. Some pieces of chicken might be red inside so you might have to throw them out. The ingredients would suggest that this is a garlicky sandwich, but that is not the case at all. Tuna spiral pasta salad. My diva coworker gets this all of the time and doesn't seem to tire of this. The banana chocolate chip bread looked good, but I didn't get any.

Yelp
I'm so glad I booked them for my event. They were with me every step of the way. This company is not only a catering company, They do it all and I was very impressed with the details they did to match my theme. They went above and beyond. Truly they have an amazing team and if you book them you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
If you have a sweet tooth, then you definitely need to try this place. I work right down the street and keep forgetting that they are around - but definitely worth the try! They specialize in bread pudding and rotate their flavors on a daily/weekly basis...I've tried the glazed donut and the salty caramel...the glazed donut is a bit sweet for me but the salty caramel is ahhhhhmazing :) I've also tried the sluttiest brownie...lots of things going on in that brownie but definitely worth the experience. B sweet bread puddings come in two sizes - $4 for the smaller size (the "be good" size), but it's definitely enough to satisfy any sweet craving you have...I recommend sharing...it's definitely rich. Pair it with a coffee and it'll be quite the experience. Staff is always friendly and sweet and service is quick... They are only open Thursday-Sunday...so don't make the mistake of trying them out on a day they are closed.

Yelp
What a shame! I placed an order online, paid and never received the bread pudding. I called 2 weeks later and had a lovely conversation with the owner who apologized profusely and offered to have it dropped off that day or the following, even adding an additional one for free. I'd definitely get a call as to when it was coming.... Another week later I was resigned. I'm not angry about it, it's just so disappointing to see a new company, that clearly has a great product, be too far ahead of themselves. You can't have good intentions and no follow through in a new business. It would be different if a lower level employee made a promise to fix a mistake but it was the owner. I left a message asking for my money to be returned simply on principle (I'm not worried about $12). I know I won't hear back or get the refund and certainly no delivery. What a shame - I would have considered them for a cart at a party but would never book them now knowing the risk of them not showing up - pretty close to a sure bet they wouldn't make it.

Yelp
I've become very familiar with B Sweet and their many different options for great food! Variety variety variety!!! They do our office lunch every friday and it's a rush from the employees to get the first pick. The lunches are delicious and filling! B Sweet has also done desserts for my work and for me personally. Nothing better than a GIANT red velvet cupcake! Oh and the chocolate chip banana bread? All I can say is TRY IT!!!!!! My other favorite is her tuna/pasta thing :)

Yelp
I was super lucky to get to try a wide selection of her savory and sweet offerings at the Taste of LA event. WOW I was blown away at her delicious selection of food. She had a lavender cupcake, a delicious lemon bar and yummy salad.

Yelp
B Sweet? Nothing but good food!!! I can spend my whole lunch hour just eating what B Sweet has to offer. Their cup cakes are to die for. Carrot and red velvet are my personal favorite... I just had 5 cup cakes last Friday... that's how much I love it...

Yelp
If you are looking for catering, I suggest you look elsewhere. I order from different bakeries every month for my company and I have never come across a bakery as unprofessional as B Sweet. They are unresponsive and the order arrived more than an hour late. Additionally, 3/4 of our order was not baked fresh. ORDERING I had to email multiple times before they confirmed that they could take the order. It took too much time for a simple order to be placed. After multiple emails and calls, I paid in full a day in advance and we agreed to a set delivery time. DELIVERY The set delivery time came and the order hadn't arrived. I emailed and called multiple times. They did not pick up the phone. I thought they had taken the money and would not deliver. 40 minutes after the agreed upon delivery time, they called to say they would be more than an hour late. TASTE When the order finally arrived, 3 of the 4 flavors were obviously at least a few days old. The chocolate, red velvet & vanilla cupcakes were hard and dry and unpalatable. They were not baked fresh. The carrot cupcakes were baked fresh and you could taste the difference. But 3/4 of our order was rock hard and almost inedible. I have a video where we are cutting through a rock hard vanilla cupcake. They should have been honest if they were too busy and could not take the order. It's better to decline than to deliver poorly and late. Instead our entire company is displeased and we would like to prevent other people from going through the same unpleasant experience. Save yourself the stress. Order from somewhere else. Bsweet catering is unprofessional, has poor communication, and do not bake some of their goods fresh.

Yelp
B Sweet is the real deal. Barb and her team take meticulous care about everything they put on the table- or in the ING Direct Cafe display case, or at your home, or office! I'm soooo lucky that our company orders lunch every Friday from B Sweet. Around 12noon, everyone in the building starts hovering around the kitchen, waiting for our FAB lunch to arrive (complete with the crazy-yummy desserts)-- and usually delivered by Barb herself! The chocolate banana bread is the BOMB. We're going to start bringing their new, custom "Cupcake Bar" to some of our clients too! I think they'll soon be doing cool parties at their kitchen/event space in the Culver City area...did somebody say cupcakes and pole dance lessons?!?

Yelp
I just had my baby shower catered by Bsweet and let me just say it was a huge success. My 40 plus guests could not stop talking about how amazing the food was. At 32 weeks pregnant I was definitely specific about the menu and carefully planned each course with Barb herself who had helped me come up with some of the most delicious items. She even suggested the name of Jenn's cravings which I thought was so fitting for the occasion! My guests loved the idea as well. We started off with my favorite grilled cheese sandwiches cut up into mini sandwiches with a side of BBQ sauce and pickles for all the pregger mommies which was accompanied by BBQ pulled pork sliders, and garden burger sliders which was also a hit because my guests ranged from meat lovers to vegetarian/vegan. We served mini tomatoe soups as a side which was great because it was very cold and rainy so comfort food was just what people were interested in. The main course included my two favorites; lobster mac and cheese and angel hair pasta with abriatta sauce. Both were fantastic leaving my guests to fill up there plates multiple times. The italian salad was just what we had discussed and a perfect side for the two pasta entrees. There was so much food provided, we had plenty of leftovers for guests to take home as the night was ending. Even the next day my husband and I were praised with how amazing the food was and if we needed any help getting the rest off our hands;) We must have fed around 50 plus people over the weekend and felt good doing it as our friends and family left with smiles on their faces. We decided to serve mini chocolate, vanilla and vegan carrot cupcakes for dessert, all of which would have been gone right away if I didn't quickly hide a couple for later. Our guests snatched those right up and continued to come back for more as the night progressed. I have worked with Barb and Bsweet over the years for my birthday parties, my wedding reception and now baby shower. The food and desserts are out of this world and I never have to worry about ordering extra because they always provide me with more than enough food make sure I'm left with some delicious treats for later. I highly reccomend using Bsweet for any occasion as they are extremely reliable and provide exquisite service.

Yelp
The B Sweet Dessert Truck was booked for private events during my stay in LA much to my dismay.... BUT Barb came to my rescue! I told her I just had to try her infamous Red Velvet Bread Pudding before I fly back home to Seattle and she did not hesitate to invite me to stop by The B Sweet Kitchen. I just gave her a days notice and upon my arrival she had everything packaged and ready to go. Barb is just as sweet at the treats she bakes and I will definitely visit again next time I'm in town. Thank you so much Barb!

Yelp
I have used Barb's dessert truck, as well as her savory foods for corporate catering. Barb showed up promptly and set everything up. The breakfast croissants were humongous & easily could feed 2 people. The fresh fruit was not your typical apples & bananas; it was strawberries, kiwis, mango, etc. The portions provided for dinner were plentiful. Her food was a big hit at a two-day team onsite. It made our long hours alot easier. I would use Barb's services again in a minute!

Yelp
Keep in mind we ate off their food truck. Hopefully the other offerings are better, but they only get one star for their cupcakes. We had two different flavors that looked delicious but tasted like flour.

Yelp
I ordered from them recently, heard amazing things about it and had their treats awhile ago, they where ok for the price. When I picked up the kitchen was a disgusting mess, it looked like they had high schoolers working and my treats didn't look good not to mention the taste. I was very disappointed! Very un professional! Specially when you call your self a chef when you're not one!!

Yelp
This review has nothing to do with the quality of their product. I contacted B Sweet Catering for more information regarding having them cater a dessert bar at my upcoming wedding. I received an immediate response saying that they have a $1,000 minimum and to let them know if this was within my budget. I responded that it was within my budget and asked them to contact me to discuss, as I was looking to retain a vendor ASAP. This was almost two weeks ago. Nobody ever followed up with me, even though I subsequently followed up with them again. If they don't want my business, I can easily take it elsewhere.

Yelp
I have been a fan of B Sweet's "sweet" and "savory" treats for a long time, and I love everything they make! I finally tried their bread pudding, and it is AMAZING! I am trying to work my way through their flavors, but it's hard for me to resist the red velvet! You can freeze them, and they heat up beautifully in the microwave! This will definitely help get me through the winter :)
