Stopped by for lunch today and the food is absolutely exquisite! The Garden Spring rolls are so fresh crisp and tasty! The accompanying peanut sauce is delicious too! The Chili Chicken rice bowl is exceptional !!! Outstanding 👍🏻. The service from my server Jen, was excellent, she is very knowledgeable in the dishes and able to answer all your culinary questions! Hats off to the Ba &Me Restaurant!!!

Do not pass this place up, if you do you will be making a mistake. If you read my reviews you will see I have eaten pho all over the county and with that I would say this ranks up with some of the better phos I have eaten. I do not give 5 stars to every restaurant that is good each one has to have something really cool or special this place fits that description. The Pho is light, herby and full of roasted onion flavor. It is very good and very satisfying. We also had the dumplings which were very good also. Never had Asian dumplings how these were prepared it was surprising and very good. They were made with a flour wrapping and looked to be baked not steamed or fried… very cool. People working the day my wife and I visited were very friendly and helpful. I loved the food, the service and the old building atmosphere. It was a lot of fun with very good food. Do not miss this place if you like Pho and are passing through Honesdale.

Amazing flavors and so fresh. I have been wanting to make it here for a while and it was so worth it. We tried a little of everything. Chicken rice bowl and pork sandwich were my favorites. My husband liked the pho best.

The first pho place I've been to. It was beyond amazing. I got the rare beef pho and the flavors combined in this wonderful burst of pure enjoyment. The mint limeade was so refreshing. And I was extremely happy that they had jasmine tea. The server, Jen, was so incredibly kind and helpful. It's a very calm environment that made me instantly relax. The music fits the restaurant and it's not loud. I love the fact they use reusable chopsticks. Overall a wonderful experience. Definitely a place to stop at.

Got takeout and something has changed. Summer roll was the size of a 4” toilet paper roll, thought it was an appetizer. Portions are much smaller now and the prior hearty peanut sauce is now watered down sour soy blend sauce with a hint of peanut. Sandwich was the size of a hoagie roll and sad with wilted cilantro, and some pieces of chicken cubes that they use in all the dishes. Tasted like I was eating a bread roll with tangy sauce. Also had a piece of chicken joint bone in it that almost choked me. The chicken part used is definitely not breast meat, probably thighs or legs. For the money I paid it was not worth it. Didn’t expect this so just writing to inform others.

First time having Vietnamese food. It was the best! The waitress/owner (Nhi) made suggestions after speaking with us and EVERYTHING was outstanding! - Pork dumplings - summer roll - chicken - pork tacos All fantastic Then we added; - chicken pho soup - 5 spice chicken rice bowl (not hot spicy but very flavorful) It was so amazing we ordered some food to go! Not kidding. From never having Vietnamese food in our lives, To ordering more food to go for the next day! I cannot think of a bigger compliment! We will definitely be back! Loved everything!

Delicious Vietnamese food and coffee! Highly recommend. We had the place to ourselves for less than 5 min. By the time we were done, four couples were enjoying their mid-afternoon lunch on a Saturday. We'll be back to this gem.

Excellent from start to finish! Excellent Vietnamese ice coffee - worth the stop just for the coffee! The best iced coffee I have ever had!!!!! The 5 spice bowl is excellent - not too spicy, just right! The pork sandwich is also excellent!! The service is delightful and efficient! Worth the 40 minute drive!

Updated review. Recently decided to go here again and although the people and the service are nice, the food is definitely overpriced. I decided to order the large portion of the grilled pork bowl (almost $17) and the amount of pork in it is probably not even an ounce. We also ordered small chicken pho and it didn't even come with your traditional toppings of mint, bean sprouts and lime.

Discovered this homey place, in downtown Honesdale, back in August. The summer rolls are incredible as are the pho and rice bowls. Even the drinks are remarkable. You won't be disappointed.

Most delicious banh mi I've had! My only complaint is that it wasn't bigger! Over too soon. My hubs had that wonton soup and LOVED it. Cute spot good stuff!

For the area I would recommend this place their pho broth is the best I've probably had across the country. Service wise they're very involved and personable. The ambiance is a little dated I dislike that the sauces are not on the table and you have to pay for each sauce. The reason for lacking one star would be sauce charge and that they don't offer glass noodle for sensitive stomachs. Also adding extra meat the portions were small. In the end I found that extremely disappointing for the cost and gratuity. I would eat here again given I was in the area. Notice my pho doesn't have the rice noodles because of my choice.

Food is delicious, prices reasonable, owner/staff are very personable. As vegans, wife and I are hard pressed to find good vegan options. Ambience is perfect. This place is a great find.

Stopped in for a quick dinner and was happy we did . Pork rice bowl and dumplings . Mint lime aid ( homemade ) and a frozen pineapple coconut drink . Great food , great drinks , great service . Great little spot What's not to like .

Wentwith friends visiting the area. We ordered the dumplings sandwich a few rice bowls and iced coffees. These were all great BUT 2 of party ordered the soups and they were so salty they were not able to eat them so they asked to be replaced with a rice bowls. Needless to say we paid for All the food even what was not eatable and discarded. High chance we would not return There is one thing when you know what not to order but when you still had to pay the price it is insane.

Well it's not authentic based on all the other places I eat at in Queens and Brooklyn which are the real deal elmhurst , flushing and Bay ridge . But yes maybe you just cook a different style but for me it's not the same . I wish You luck and I'm sure You have a fan base that likes your style . Stopped in for a late lunch (Honesdale location) with my husband, but we both found the menu a bit limited. Entrees were a bit expensive, and we weren't in the mood for Pho or noodle bowls (especially given some of the reviews) and some selections were crossed out, so we opted for appetizers. My husband ordered the mushroom tacos and chicken dumplings, while I ordered Summer rolls and vegetable dumplings. The Summer rolls and tacos were delicious and we would definitely order them again as take out. The dumplings however were quite small, a bit bland & definitely not worth $9 each serving. I enjoyed a delicious iced Vietnamese coffee, he just had water. Space is cozy and clean, service was great but we left after paying $50, which included tax, tip, and charge card fee, feeling as if we were still hungry.

I was looking SO forward to this but came out really disappointed. Anyone who has had true authentic Vietnamese will know this is NOT it, also the prices are Absurd. Huge rip off if it's the ONLY option for Vietnamese food, makes an ok rip off Walmart version I guess Anywhere but here,

I very much like this small cafe but you just don't get much for the money. $38 incl tip for two surprisingly small Vietnamese sandwiches, light on the meat, and one soda seems not worth it. I love the unique flavors of Banh Mi but these were just average. The server was nice and attentive. The downtown location is convenient and the setting comfortable.

Just ok and not worth the money. 15$ for a "large" bowl of pho. Was not large, was a very small amount of food. Food also came out slowly. The ambience is cute and waitstaff is nice.

Everything about Ba & Me was extraordinary. Thaddeus and Xania, chef and waitress were warm and welcoming. They made us feel like old friends. The ambience was calm and inviting. And the food ! Viet tacos and Pho noodle bowls, perfectly prepared and perfectly delicious. Don't miss Ba & Me !!!

Had to call because they don't post hours online. Upon seating in sticky & unmade table (none were ready) Told that they had no beef for the Pho nor any wontons (this was 1pm - they opened and it was first serving day of the week). The extremely friendly/phony waitress said they had a busy lunch? ??? It was empty...... Should have walked out -but ordered anyway because I was in the mood for Vietnamese. Prices high - quality just blah. The bowl I had was supposed to have Bok Choy - none!. Had to ask for lime and sauce. Food was warm upon arrival. Would not recommend and the extra Honesdale tax charge could not be explained by the waitress ("of course" being her favorite words).... the fact that there were no products was most disappointing. The cleanliness and warm food made it terrible. I RARELY, if ever give bad reviews. But this was so disappointing I had to write this review. I hope the owner reads this and addresses the issues. We will not be back.

It's been a while sense I had good Pho in NEPA. It ally you would need to drive to Philly to get anything half decent. Good thing we took a trip up to Honesdale today. I had forgotten Ba Me was here. Great food. Even our picky 4YO is enjoying her meal.

Great ambiance and service, delicious food, and yummy Vietnamese coffee. Coffee was made with cafe du Monde chicory coffee, a personal favorite since I grew up on New Orleans. The presentation was lovely too since it came Out as a pour over. The pho was okay and the chili garlic chicken rice bowl was excellent- fresh, flavorful, and slightly spicy. I enjoyed the setting of the restaurant. On a quaint Main Street in Honesdale. Look forward to coming back!

Stopped in for a quick lunch and for me try something new. Had the Pho and it was amazing to say the least.

Foods good but not a decent value for the cost it's $14 for a $7 sandwich. If you want to spend $60+ on lunch for two that'd run you $30 someplace else you'll be right at home.

Visited May 2023 and reviewed originally on competing site. Felt service, food quality, and quality/value were disappointing. Owner/manager then replied to my review and made assumptions about the race of my dining companions and I (we won't get into that those assumptions were incorrect, and I lived in Asia for nearly a decade (not Vietnam, but the statement was Asia)), stating non-Asians were not able to criticize the authenticity of their food. Also called me "insensitive" and "entitled". Your call if this is the sort of place you want to patronize.

Ordered Pho to go Instead of noodles got the wontons. Was given a pint of clear broth and a container with several mini chickens dumplings and a sprinkling of thin sliced simple green onion and maybe bok choy. Container not even half full. Including tax $17.95. Need I say more?

This is a review for the Livingston Manor "branch". Ok food. Terrible service. Ran my credit card and told me it would be a 20 minute wait while they baked the bread for a couple of sandwhiches. Okay I said I'll do a few errands. Server said they would call me. 45 minutes later, no call. I went back and the place was jammed, clearly they were overwhelmed. However, the server saw me and ignored me. Another 15 minute wait and she walked over and handed me a bag with the two sandwiches with no apology. I will not be back.

Cozy restaurant with delicious Vietnamese food. Five Spice Chicken sandwich was incredible. The cucumbers were the perfect texture. We ordered a cup of broth on the side which was a fantastic addition to our meal. The mint limeade was bright and fresh. We are looking forward to our next trip to Honesdale to eat here again!

Food is tasty and very healthy. We loved the spring rolls. One order can be a meal for some, but my husband had rolls and a pork rice bowl. I also had the five spice chicken noodle bowl that was amazing with tons of chicken. Service is slow as everything is made to order. You must order 35 min in advance. You can do this on line. Ambiance leaves something to be desired. It's very small and best for take-out. There are decent places to eat outside. I rate it 4, because of the quality of food. I was in Wayne Memorial Hospital and dying for healthy tasty food and Baa & Me was a life saver!

It is "Americanized " cuisine. So if you are looking for more authentic Vietnamese, you should try elsewhere.The service was friendly, but quite slow. They were out of soup, so I couldn't try the Pho. They were out of eggs, so there was that. The place is small, but the atmosphere was quite nice.

If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food, this is not it. My finance have lived in the area for a few months now and like to try new things in the area. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with this place. Although the service was good, the food was severely lacking and really overpriced. How is your name going to be a play on the Bánh mì and you don't even have that on your menu? The broth for the pho was vegan - that's not authentic at all! And pho is supposed to come out super hot to cook your meat and mine was luke warm at best so half (or more) of my beef was still uncooked when I was done. I very rarely leave reviews but felt I needed to for this. I won't be going back - in fact we ended up having to go someplace else afterwards to feel satisfied.
