Nestled in an unassuming plaza is Ba Le Restaurant, specializing in pho noodle soup, banh mi, and other Vietnamese desserts and beverages. I had the chance to try their fresh avocado smoothie and special combo banh mi, and both were outstanding. The smoothie has chunks of fresh avocados and is thick, unlike the watery or icy avocado smoothies at other places. The banh mi is a good size and has huge portion of meats and fillings. They use a pâté (pork liver spread) that is flavorful and not too overpowering. I didn’t get to try the pho noodle soup, but from what the reviews are saying it sounds like they have one of the best pho in town. And everything is reasonably priced. What a great find in the Arlington, TX area!

Visited based on a recommendation. The service was fast and efficient; however, we felt rushed to order. We hadn't been given 2 minutes to review the menu. 🫠 The food was flavorful and large portions. 🍜 The Pho comes with two large ribs, which is unique. The shrimp in the pho were good sizes and perfectly cooked. The sliced grilled pork in the vermicelli was super dry. 😬 We will try once more. The restaurant is nestled in a multi-unit building, and across the street from a bakery. Parking shouldn't be an issue.

It’s been a while since I last visited, and this restaurant has improved tremendously. As the oldest restaurant in Arlington, I’ve always come here for fresh French sandwiches, but I didn’t realize they also serve the best pho and broken rice dishes in the city. I’m impressed with the flavors and the fast service. The prices are reasonable as well. You’ll be glad you came. I would suggest a slightly cleaner restroom, though—it would be a nice touch.

If I could go here every single day, I would. Good Lord the pho comes out in like 10 minutes (probably less) and the big rib that comes with the beef pho is FLAVORFUL AND AMAZING. Typically I have to doctor up my pho but here, the broth is really good on its own. The food is super affordable and manageable for big or small parties. I can’t wait to visit again soon.

I ate here once about 30 years ago, and twice in the past 6 months. The pho is always pretty good. Today my wife got the grilled pork vermicelli which is a grilled pork cold noodle salad. Today the noodles were very warm, and the pork tasted pretty bad actually. It Tasted like it was over processed, and It was very off putting. We’ve been eating these dishes for over 30 years at many Vietnamese institutions, so we’re very well educated on vermicelli bowls.I definitely wouldn’t recommend this dish. With that being said, the pho was good.

Google
Bun, Pho, and banh mi. All top notch! All in one place is a feat! The only place to get the best Vietnamese food. Hands down! Plus, I make homemade banh mi's at home and always come here for the baguette. 2 for $1. Can't beat the texture of these baguettes.

Dine in by myself. The shrimp spring was okay, freshly made. But the sauce has no taste, can't taste any fish sauce, not any peanut favor, not any hoisin sauce neither, and very watery. Not recommended. Ordered pho with rib, regular size. It was big, i wasn't able to finish it. But the broth is not hot enough. Other than that, the pho was okay. Totally can tell it's a family owned business. The owner/grandma was chilling with her friends or sisters with sunflower seeds at the front table! 😅

Was feeling under the weather and needed some hot Pho to help me recover, and I came across this place. It's a Viet restaurant and bakery that serves some fresh traditional Viet items like Banh Mi, Cha Lua, and other popular Viet items. I was hoping to get some chicken pho, but they only had Beef Pho and that's OK. The broth was not very beefy, a little bit cloudy and not clear, and the flavor was more citrus than I like. They they don't do much of the sliced beef brisket, but they do more of the fresh meatballs and the raw flank steak meat, which im not a personal fan of but they did give a lot of. They did add a big beef bone, which I was surprised to see, so that was nice. It was probably why the bowl was close to $20. They did give a lot of tendon, but some were cooked, and some were not cooked long enough, so they tended to be hard and chewy. Overall, it was good, not really the style of pho that I enjoy.

Yelp
I saw this place get recommended by a group on Facebook several times so we decided to give it a try this past weekend! First we'll talk about service. So everyone is as friendly as they can get, nothing more nothing less. It gets the job done and I don't have any big complaints. The ambiance is "hole in the wall" which kinda got me excited. It's kept clean for the most part, they keep Clorox wipes at each table which I liked. I've never seen that before. Restrooms are decent enough but could use a tad bit of cleaning. Nothing major. Now for the food. We started with spring rolls. I'll be honest we really weren't a fan of them. They had no flavor whatsoever. Hard pass. It didn't matter because the star of the show was their delicious pho. I'm still thinking about that pho bowl! The broth was amazing! Delicious! Apparently every bowl comes with a rib which was oh so delicious and tender. They only have Beef pho on the menu here. I got the brisket. Plenty of meat and noodles. Their chili sauce is fire! Very spicy and tasty. My daughter and husband ordered the pork vermicelli bowl and they said it was some of the best. The portions for both items are very decent! The pho comes in large and extra large portions. The large bowl did the job. My appetite is pretty big but I don't even think I need an extra large bowl. Who knows maybe I'll try it out one day. We'll definitely be back to try their other soups!

Yelp
I got the regular sized pho bowl and it had a flavorful broth. I liked that they had their own twist by adding a tender beef short rib bone. There is an extra large size available, but I think the regular was a good portion size as someone with a larger appetite. My dad had the mi thap cam kho, which also had great flavors as well. The restaurant can get busy so when you arrive there is a kiosk available to add your name to the waitlist and they will contact you when your table is ready. The food came out fairly quickly despite how busy they were. You will make your payment close to the kiosk where you add your name. The establishment itself is divided into a restaurant and take out portion that also offers pastries and other food. The parking lot is also fairly small so carpool if possible. The tables are fairly close to one another as it felt like I was pretty close to other guests. There is also a big television and speakers playing music, which was nice and not too loud.

Yelp
Ba Le Restaurant looked the most promising when our group was in dire need for comfort Pho. The restaurant offered a wide selection of traditional Vietnamese soup dishes, but we came for the Pho and it was definitely worth the wait, and the price tag. The Regular Bowl priced at $16.75 was indeed a Large. The broth was aromatic and every bowl came with the most tender fall off the bone beef short rib. We also ordered Banh Mi / Hu Tieu Bo Kho and thought the curry under taste was unfamiliar to what Bo Kho is supposed to taste like. We grabbed a few Pate Chaud on the way out, the pastry wasn't good and was extremely skimpy on the filling. The overall experience was solid, the restaurant was busy when we walked in and it stayed consistently busy when we left. If you are in the Arlington area, stop by Ba Le Restaurant and get yourself a steaming bowl of Pho, you will not be disappoint.

Yelp
I was told this place is quite the institution. To be honest, I just wanted a banh mi. And that was very good. At my table was also a pho, and a rice dish. And those were good too. There's also a large number of Vietnamese sweets too. I'd definitely give this place two chopsticks up.

Yelp
Since moving to Fort Worth, I've really struggled with finding a go to spot for Vietnamese cuisines. I tried this place recently after hearing about it from TikTok... and I was not disappointed! The BBH was surprisingly my favorite. The portions are great and there's even a little spot to purchase cha lua/pate so/other stuff at the front (which I'll definitely be returning for). The banh mi's were also not insanely expensive and it was pretty good! The pho was delicious but I'd personally come back for the BBH. Quick service. Didn't wait long at all.
google avatar

Yelp
We walked in during lunch time on Friday. They weee pretty busy but we got seated promptly. The restaurant was clean. I saw staffs quickly cleaned up tables after customers left. They serve pretty good and authentic banh mi and Pho imo. I really wanted to try their porridge bowl but it was sold out that day. The Pho bowl looked amazing when the server brought out to our table. We got the XL size I believed . Pho broth was very flavorful, meat was tender and veggies were fresh. I liked the banh mi crust a lot. Wished it had more filling tho. Service was fast and efficient. I also bought a few pounds of pork floss and couple desserts to go. I"ll definitely come back when visiting Dallas.

Yelp
I visited friends in McKinney and we drove an hour to Arlington just for this pho because it's one of the few places that offers beef rib bones. I had no expectations, yet they totally made my day! The restaurant wasn't the typical hole in the wall. It was spacious with a takeout counter for prepackaged desserts and food items. Decor was nothing to talk about but it's typical of most local Vietnamese restaurants. Nothing flashy. It's the food that really counts. We ordered the spring rolls and two types of summer rolls aka goi cuon as appetizers. I had the Vietnamese iced coffee and my friend ordered the milk tea with boba. We all chose the Pho Dac Biet all around. The service was a little lacking but the pho more than made up for it! Seems that disgruntled staff equates to darn good pho. The broth was rich and full bodied because of the savory beef base. You get more meat to noodle ratio which isn't standard, so I appreciated it. One of my pet peeves is when Vietnamese iced coffee isn't simply made of chicory beans and condensed milk but has added sweet creamer to it. I'm not a big fan because I like the traditional method. The appetizers were just okay and the peanut sauce was lacking. I will definitely come back for more but next time I'd like to try their other dishes as well. I highly recommended this place for the pho because of the added rib bone! There's a small parking lot but it's nice to have access to parking.
google avatar

Jenny Q.

Yelp
Such delicious pho! I had the XL bowl of pho tai. Unexpectedly it came with a huge beef bone! Meat was sooo tender it fell off the bone. Definitely worth it for the price. Staff were super nice and quick. There's even a counter with Vietnamese treats and pastries right when you walk in. Area is kinda sketchy with a hole in the wall vibe but plenty of parking. I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Yelp
Ba Le is hands down the best place in Arlington to get pho! I always order their pho dac biet (combination) which comes with everything including a giant beef rib! The bowl itself is huge and the beef is so tender/fall off the bone. Their broth is also very flavorful. When I'm not craving pho, their bo kho with noodles is another favorite of mine! I love adding their chili oil to it. We also ordered a banh mi (pretty good but not as good as quoc bao or saigon deli imo). Their Vietnamese coffee comes pre-made in a sealed cup so be warned if you're expecting fresh drip coffee. The restaurant itself is very spacious and has plenty of seating! You may have to flag down a waiter if you need refills or something during your meal. Once you're done eating, you go up to the front cash register to pay. Overall, I love Ba Le so much and can't recommend them enough!
google avatar

Destiny P.

Yelp
This place has always been a go-to spot for my family since I was a kid. The past few years they've done a lot to improve their restaurant and the food is as great as always! They seem to be known for the Pho now since every bowl comes with the beef bone. But, their Banh Mi has always been the best in the area. The place is very busy on Sundays and the parking lot is small so try to car pool if you can. You may have to get your servers attention if you need anything especially during peak times.
google avatar

James T.

Yelp
I normally go to Ba Le for sandwiches. Their bun mi combination sandwich is awesome. This time I wanted the phò and it was great. Look at the giant beef bone with lots of tender meat on it. The staff is friendly and the place is pretty clean. All and all its pretty standard Vietnamese food but done well.
google avatar

Kat M.

Yelp
The most delicious Pho I have ever had! And I have had many phos. This was is not only delicious but they do not skip out on the noodles and meat. It is what pho is suppose to taste like and it's by far the most amazing one I have ever had. The portions are huge and it's a regular too. Combination pho is my go to
google avatar

Dee B.

Yelp
So far this is the closest "real deal" I've had to actually having authentic Vietnamese food in TX. The broth was amazing and full of flavors. After adding my spicy concoction, it was perfect. The bowls are huge and a nice mix of noodles and meat. This time I got the boBun Bo Hue which was spot on. The place is clean, with some local Vietnamese also enjoying it there.. so you know it's good and authentic. Service was really fast, and she was nice. Worth the price for the huge bowl, and I had plenty of broth left for round 2 at home.
google avatar

Arina L.

Yelp
Wow! The broth is so flavorful! The best pho I've had in a long time! I was not expecting a huge beef rib to be in my bowl. I think that's just how it is. Every bowl of pho comes with one. It is an about $17 for a bowl though! They open early for the early birds. fast service.
google avatar

Mary T.

Yelp
It's one of those places that has been in the area forever and people tend to just forget to rate anymore. They've remodeled. Food is still good. Service is quick. Love the pho & the combination French bread.

Regina H.

Yelp
Pho was very no favorful. Hadn't been here in awhile. It was worth the visit. The meats in the beef pho were all tender.
google avatar

Kady L.

Yelp
This place is extremely far since I am in Dallas. It was very convenient for us to try this place because we were going to the AT&T STADIUM for an event. I will say the pho is absolutely delicious! It's probably the best I ever had in Dallas. It comes with a huge meat on stick. That was very unique and never experienced that before. My boyfriend ordered the shredded chicken banh mi and I was quite shock how bland it tastes. The sour carrots were actually giving it life. I did not finish the half sub. Oh yes! We also ordered the spring rolls, it was pork and shrimp. Nothing spectacular, the tradition you would get. I prefer fish sauce but it was serve with a peanut sauce. Last minute, ordered the Thai tea due to the BBH being way too spicy from self destruction (haha). The Thai tea was in fact the best I ever had!!!
google avatar

Geof T.

Yelp
Never have I seen a pho bowl with A MASSIVE BEEF RIB for under $20. What's crazy is that the beef rib is included in the $16 price, but you have to pay extra for the meatballs! Which of course I did because Vietnamese meatballs are the best. The beef stew was also really hearty with some sweetness from the carrots. If my cholesterol could handle it, I would come here every Sunday after church for the beef rib pho. I also really want to try their BBH
google avatar

Winfred S.

Yelp
We came to highly rated whole in the wall after a recommendation. The Pho and the Ban Mi were delicious. It has been here for some time. The service was quick and it was clean. We re-discovered this place after after several foodies posted about it. We will come again.
google avatar

Elizabeth T.

Yelp
The bánh mì pâté cha lua was really good!! Just hit the spot. Most of the time I'm always getting the combination but I really was wanting that pâté. The bread was perfectly warm and toasty. The pho was also good. Broth was fatty and delicious as is. I like to keep mine plain. What makes this pho place stand out is they have a beef rib in it. They just renovated the place. Very nice and clean. They got brand new sriracha and hoisin bottles. Service also good. You can also buy lots of other things at the check out counter.
google avatar

Hyun P.

Yelp
I haven't been back here in awhile but today went there for Sunday lunch. Place was busy but we were seated right away. The food was good, probably 1 of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Arlington right now. The pho bowl was a little more expensive than other places but it's huge and you get a beef rib with it.
google avatar

Peter G.

Yelp
Talk deal. Place is full and we are only anglos! Excellent Pho and banh mi. Servers are bit rushed. It has been here for at least 30 years
google avatar

Matthew C.

Yelp
Best pho in town! Great price, great amount, great overall. Definitely visit! Every pho I've ever ordered always had an abundance of meat and a huge beef rib! Good service. Little hole in the wall kind of style.
google avatar

Lorraine G.

Yelp
My mom is from the old country and this is her favorite restaurant! I can see why! The service and table turn over was quick and efficient. It was satisfactory clean! The regular bowl was huge! We have been going to this place for years!
google avatar

Melody P.

Yelp
The broth here definitely hits the spot. This place is well known by locals and even people from out of town. All beef pho comes with a big beef rib. Slurping the broth is so healing to where it can cure your worst hangover.
google avatar

sochandar e.

Yelp
My favorite spot for Pho ! Great portion size ! The beef is so tender and it comes with a beef rib ! Broth is made to perfection that I don't need to add any sauces to it. Oh and their chili oil, has a great kick to it !
google avatar

CheRie O.

Yelp
My friend recommended this. Really one of the best phos I've tried. Very good. They are busy but service was fast, didn't wait a long time to try the COMBINATION pho bowl. Place is clean. Will be back for sure.
google avatar

Frances M.

Yelp
This is my husbands and I's absolute favorite Pho place. They're a bit more pricey compared to other pho places BUT I promise it's worth it. Their portion size is massive and the taste is top tier. You could probably even share the regular size with someone because it's so much!
google avatar

Marco R.

Yelp
I found the best beef Pho in the State of Texas, I had to share with all my friends. The decor is simple, but the lines are long but well worth the wait. If you like beef Pho, dont go anywhere else. The service is fast and with a smile. The beef pho is the greatest. Beef is tender and delicious, everyone comes for the beef bone.
google avatar

Al T.

Yelp
Pho bowl smacked, simple as that. Compared to other states where you're paying nearly $20 for a bowl that's a 1/4 of the size compared to here. Soup was clean, fresh and the service was quick! If I lived here it'd be my go-to
google avatar

Bill C.

Yelp
The service by Rawan was exceptional. Rawsn was polite and attentive, going above and beyond to provide a wonderful eating experience. Pizza and Honey Crisp Salas was also excellent.
google avatar

Nick V.

Yelp
Food: Whenever Dad and I don't eat home cooked pho or feeling a different dish like bun, this place is usually our go-to. You also go here for the banh mi sandwiches. Service: Can be hit or miss. This place was always usually filled exclusively with local Vietnamese, with myself being the odd duckling out. Over the years with the rise of Instagram and Tik Tok, this place has seen a more diverse crowd. I've made this place as a recommendation to people new to Vietnamese food and they've enjoyed it. This place used to be cash only but over the years accommodated cash less payments. Ambiance: Your typical Vietnamese restaurant. Has seen renovations over the years. Try the curry dish sometime!
google avatar

Nancy V.

Yelp
We live in Fort Worth and normally go to Pho Pasteur for our pho. However, since they've moved, it adds another 15 minutes to our commute and we've had to find a new go-to place first pho. We've always come to Ba Le for their buttery and flaky banh mi ba le, but we've never actually dined in. My brothers have always raved about the pho here, so we finally gave it a try. The pho broth was delicious and I love that it comes with a giant beef bone. I do wish it was a bit more tender, but maybe it was just that day. We also ordered the goi cuon aka spring rolls and they were as yummy as they typically are at other restaurants. The service was decent for it being an Asian restaurant and the restaurant itself was super clean and surprisingly busy at the time when it was about to close, too! Overall, I'd come back if I was craving pho, it's definitely closer than Pho Pasteur now.

Josephus H.

Yelp
Awesome! Awesome! The Bun Bo Hue is excellent. Every bowl of pho comes with a huge beef rib! But really the BROTH is what sold me! The BROTH the BROTH!!!
google avatar

Austin N.

Yelp
Banh Mi was very good and prices were great. Will definitely be ordering here again and trying more dishes. Parking is difficult when busy but there is additional parking across the street
google avatar

Trung N.

Yelp
Lord geezus the portion size is amazing! Broth was well seasoned and has lots of meat! Looking for a good and affordable place to warm your bellies and squash your hangover? They also have really delicious Banh Mi I am told... I look forward to coming here the next time I am in town!

James S.

Yelp
Overrated bowl of star anise and sugar flavor that leaves a funky bad taste in your mouth. Throw in bring overcharged, and very rude service ( read all the one star reviews guys ) and you will see this place isn't the best pho in the area. Especially when they are charging LA & NYC prices for a bowl of pho. Seriously 20 bucks for bowl of pho? $18 for a small bowl? Highway robbery!! If you guys like throwing your money out the window for a mediocre bowl of pho then by all means knock yourselves out. I hate when a bowl of pho is so heavy ridden on cinnamon and star anise that after a few bites you are left with that awful taste in your mouth. Our server could not be bothered with being friendly and acted like a snob. One of the absolute worst pho places I've tried. Go down to Garland / Richardson area if you want authentic delicious pho. Avoid This Place!
google avatar

Tiarelei W.

Yelp
Found this place on Tiktok and decided to stop in. BOY AM I GLAD I DID. Service was quick, the atmosphere was bustling with customers but still homey, and the food was . Fav pho in DFW metroplex. I got the combination pho- FAV thing in the menu! Looking for some good Vietnamese for a good price- stop in!
google avatar

Huan P.

Yelp
Grew up coming here for their banh mi, then I stopped because better places started opening. Then I came back because I head their pho was amazing. And wow it is amazing. Idk if they focused more on other foods the past 10 years but their pho is top notch. I still get their banh mis too.
google avatar

Levi B.

Yelp
My experience here was too good to not write a review. Came in, immediately sat down. Definitely a spot for the local Vietnamese to chill at, which was a great sign of authenticity. Waiter was awesome; he was very patient with me regarding the menu lol. I had Pho and egg rolls; probably the best of which I've had in my life so far. The big serving size was greatly appreciated and not taken lightly! I'll gladly contribute my money to this business again.

K C.

Yelp
Amazing amazing amazing. I will 100% be coming back. The food was delicious, the service was decent, it was a bit loud because they were doing roof repairs but that's not Be La's fault.

Angela B.

Yelp
Tried for first time and this was the BEST PHO I've had since moving to Texas a year ago! The service was quick and servers were attentive. If you're looking for an low key ambiance this isn't it. It's fast pace but clean. Don't let the outside of the place deter you the food and service makes up for it. You won't be disappointed.

Dana J.

Yelp
They serve the best pho! The owner is always kind and welcoming, and the food is consistently fresh and served hot.
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
My go to for Pho and/or Banh Mi. The prices have crept up with everything else, the the people still fill it up everyday at lunch. Danny is going a great job. He added a beef bone to the Pho and that alone takes it to a whole other level. With a chili paste/sriracha shortage currently going on, he brought out some homemade chili paste, and the flavor was phenomenal. The pho broth has a flavor all it own. The vermicelli bowls are a great option for the hot Pho in the summer. Grilled pork for that and lemongrass beef for my banh mi, please. Cafe su dah! Definitely recommend and I'm writing this from the parking lot, so I have returned and will again, soon.

Terrl M.

Yelp
Amazing Pho! This was highly suggested by my lady! And I've been back 3 times since! They earned themselves a regular customer!! The only bowl I've had here, has been the brisket bowl! Hasn't missed at all!! One day I will try a different dish, I'm sure everything on the menu is great!
google avatar

Saudiia O.

Yelp
This place was so amazing! I got the Beef Pho and it was so good!! Pho is about the broth and you could smell the broth from outside the place. And it was as good as it smelled walking in!! Definitely will be back!!
google avatar

Kim D.

Yelp
My go to place in DFW area for pho. The broth is delicious on its own, and the meat is so tender. The meat from the bone just fell off when I picked it up. If you're not craving pho, don't worry they have an extensive menu with other noodle dishes like Bun Bo Hue or even rice platters. Getting a cafe sua da is a must! It's very strong and just what you need to wake up! Service was great despite it being a Sunday and insanely packed.

Mi N.

Yelp
I am really upset. Ordered to-go. Paid over $5 for this sandwich. There's only butter and 3 pieces of pork roll. Missing the pate and everything else. But overall, if you dine in.. they're great. Fast. Pho is amazing.
google avatar

Be T.

Yelp
Awe man, hands down the best pho I have ever had. Their chili oil was so good. The beef rib was so tender and just fell off the bone. Price is reasonable, service was typical Asian service but they were kind. The portion was good. Throughly enjoyed our lunch here. I'm from out of state but I will forever miss this place. Until we meet again.
