Restaurants with the Longest Waitlists and Queues in Bangkok

"Located in an antique house filled with vintage décor, Baan Nual serves home-cooked Thai fare like stir-fried pork neck with shrimp paste and crab egg chilli paste, with a rotating menu and only two large tables." - Veronica Inveen

5 Best Day Trips from Singapore | Condé Nast Traveler

"Is this a restaurant or someone’s house? Baan Nual is both—it houses the residence of a graphic designer and his home-dining business. From the outside it looks like a ramshackle abode; step inside and you enter a (dimly lit) whimsical world filled with decorative birdcages, an old-school ice-shaving machine, and just three tables. The soundtrack is '70s and '80s Thai, punctuated by the crowing of nearby roosters." - Audrey Phoon

The wait is well worth it. It's quite hard to make the reservation but I assure you, do it!! It's a homey traditional Thai style comfort food. The owner is super sweet and kind. The servers are extremely attentive and hospitable. We ordered 18 dishes and 3 desserts and we wipe the plates clean! Put your names down repido!!

Thanks to my friend’s good fortune and my own lucky timing, I finally got to dine at Baan Nual, a highly sought-after Thai restaurant on Fueang Nakhon Road that typically requires a very long time in advance. This restaurant is incredibly exclusive, accepting only 3 tables per night for dinner, with just one seating per evening, making it a tough reservation to secure. The setup features an open kitchen with just one chef and one assistant. You have to pre-order your food before arriving since they prepare everything with precise portions. And let me tell you, every dish was absolutely delicious! My favorites were the crab rice, garlic prawns, and prawns with prawn fat. Even the simpler dishes like stir-fried cabbage with egg and the shallot omelet were incredible. I’m not exaggerating—they were all truly outstanding. If you want to go, I suggest messaging the restaurant through their Instagram to inquire about a reservation.

Such a lovely elevated yet homey space! Come in as a big group and enjoy the delicious Thai home-cooked dishes. We may have ordered the entire menu. Over-ordered, but yes, we had a bite of everything and I kid you not, I enjoyed all my bitesz.

The most amazing Thai food in this cozy and very special restaurant. If you can book a table (it books up months in advance) do - it's so worth it.

Reservation required. A small restaurant with Thai authentic food. They required everyone order at least 2 menu. The food is average and not worth the money at all. You can pay this amount of money for much better. By the way, since it’s like a home cook, expect your clothes and your hair to smell like food
