"Step inside this Northern and Central Thai restaurant hidden on a side street in Prawet District and you enter a charming dining room adorned with an old-fashioned wooden European decor. Opening the menu reveals dishes, many of which are unavailable elsewhere, that honour the owners’ birthplaces, Chiang Mai and Bangkok. Highlights include stir-fried beef with Massaman curry, yum Luang Prabang and fried minced pork with salted mackerel." - Michelin Inspector

This restaurant has been open for over 35 years and has been incredibly featured in the Michelin Guide since 2017. Lek uncle, the talented chef, still personally supervises the cooking, maintaining a warm and attentive approach. - The Fried Pork with Salted Fish and the Fried Pork are delicious. The dishes use simple, local ingredients, but the flavor is impressive. -The Creamy Scrambled Egg with Crab is decent, and the price is not that expensive. -The Tom Kha with Salid Fish is the first I've ever had that wasn't sweet—it was spicy in the throat and sour on the palate. -The Mango Sticky Rice is very expensive, but every bite is perfectly balanced and delicious. -The Banana in Coconut Milk (Kluay Buat Chee) is a simple local dessert, but the high-level of intention shines through; they use slightly firm bananas and it's truly very low in sugar. -The restaurant has nice decor, emphasizing a classic style with many photos and collectibles. Repeat for sure! Suggestion : Book in advance and order some prior.

Highly recommended for ultra authentic local Thai dishes home cooked food. Must try the omelette, the fried pork, the curry chicken, etc. Service is great. The lady boss, has been having the restaurant 33 years ago to date!

Food tastes quite ok 👍 willing to be back kinda good But service is truly slow and poor management in terms of service flow. We wait for the rice 🍚 40 mins and chased waitress / owner 4 times. As for checking the bill, we should requested since order, so wouldnt need to wait for another half hour😂🫠 Atmosphere wise, its a lovely homey place with lived piano player. Owner can speak english. Spare more time (or like a lucky draw) if you decided to come.

A small, cozy restaurant with surprisingly delicious food. It’s a popular local spot, so making a reservation is definitely a good idea the place fills up quickly, especially during peak hours. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, as there are only a few spots available.

✨ Authentic Thai Homey Vibes ✨ This Thai homey restaurant truly warms my heart — cozy, local, and full of charm. I really love the atmosphere; it feels just like dining at a friend’s house filled with the aroma of freshly cooked dishes. 🍲 The food is absolutely scrumptious with bold, authentic flavors that really stand out. Each dish tastes like it’s cooked with care — strong seasoning, rich textures, and that unmistakable Thai touch. 🇹🇭 Service is friendly and attentive, though a bit slow since they cook everything one by one — but honestly, that’s part of the charm. You can taste the freshness in every bite. Definitely worth the wait! 💛 A perfect spot for those who appreciate real Thai cooking and a relaxing, home-style atmosphere. 🌿

Food is good, but service may benefit from improvement. They are hommy and nice, but don't expect great services.
