Baan Ploen Dee Restaurant

We were early for our hidden Bangkok Riverboat tour and staff were happy to squeeze us into full restaurant. Food was amazing - authentic, fresh and tasty. Staff were beautiful. Well worth stopping here for some food and a drink. Great place for tourists to eat. Awesome authentic atmosphere right on the canal.

This restaurant is a local Thai street food which is I recommended for both Thai local and Foreigners who would like to try a local dishes. In my view, the taste is good, spicy, but yummy actually 😍 The fried chicken I recommended you guy to order, it’s amazing! For another also yummy ( Fried rice crabs/ Spicy & Sour Pork/ Tomyum also. You can ask them for very mind in case you’re not sure about spicy level for Thai people. They can do it. Enjoy 😊 After finish your meals, you can take a boat for one day trip in Bangkok.

Outstanding little family restaurant tucked away on the edge of a canal. We enjoyed Penang curry, wing bean salad, crispy sweet and sour fish, fried lemongrass and chicken, stir fry pork with century egg. Every dish was sensational. The fried lemongrass dish was the absolute highlight finished in a sticky tamarind sauce. Would return here again and again.

Super nice staff, especially Paul behind the bar, relaxed atmosphere, good food and good prices. Worth a stop for lunch or to catch a canal boat tour.

Food was very good and reasonable price. Food big portion but a bit hot due to restaurant was open air. Service was very good .Difficult to park due to limited of parking space. Highly recommended shrimp cake and fried glass noodle with crispy pork .

Probably my favourite place to eat in Bangkok… all the food is really tasty & a good price… the service is great & views of the canal ! It’s not easy to find so it is not overly touristy Some interesting Thai craft beers too !

i think the taste is milder than other thai restaurant. especially for foreigners can eat easily. i tend to like strong spicy salty dishes since i moved to thailand. so little bit different from my favorite tastes . however overall food is tasty not expensive and ambients was very comfortable having wind along the liver . no regret to visit here.

This place was recommended to us, so we gave it a try with two small dishes. The food was just mediocre, but what makes me give just one star is the way settling the bill was handled: they increased the price of both dishes on the bill as compared to the prices on the menu. When I pointed this out, they reluctantly handed over the change, without even apologizing. 'Mistakes' like this hurt the reputation of a restaurant, and rightly so.
