My experience here was ok. The waiter did a great job and their service wasn’t bad. Their wine was good and I enjoyed it.

Google
The absolute worst dining experience I’ve ever had. This is a long honest detailed review of my experience at this restaurant in PHL Airport. In August 23, 2024, as I waited to board my plane, i decided to purchase something to eat from Baba Bar since I was sitting right across the bar. I ordered my food around 7:50/7:55pm. After placing my order the receipt says “sit tight. Your order will be delivered to your seat.” As you can see from the pictures attached, my seat matches the “delivery to” on my receipt. It’s worth mentioning I was alone. My flight was to begin boarding at 8:35pm. I waited until 8:20pm to walk up to the bar and ask what was taking so long with my order. The young lady replies with “I think they were looking for you. One second.” She walks away to speak with someone and returns shortly after. Once she returns, she tells me I need to go pick up my food from the kitchen because “they” were looking for me. Although I was beyond confused about who was looking for me because I’ve been sitting in the same spot since I placed my order, I reluctantly walked over to the kitchen, across the hall from the bar, to find out what was going on with my order. Once I arrive, I began questioning the kitchen staff about my order. The kitchen staff were just as confused as I was. After a short time, a male employee emerges from behind the kitchen to where other employees and I were speaking with my order in his hand. He states my food is now cold and needs to be reheated. I ordered a pizza; he told the kitchen staff to put my cold pizza back in the oven. I asked how did my food get cold and his response was “I was looking for you and didn’t see you. I even called your name and no one answered.” I asked him where did he look because I cannot move from where I am sitting since I am alone and have too many bags to be walking back and forth nor did I hear him calling my name. He began raising his voice at me and insisted that I must’ve went to the bathroom because he did not see me. I repeat to him that I have not moved since I’ve sat down. He, with his voice still raised and now causing a scene, insisted that I must’ve went to the bathroom and that he’s been working there for a year and knows how to do his job, which I never said he didn’t; guilty conscience much? He then says “do you want the pizza or not.” Does not offer to make me a new pizza for neglecting to do his job properly. I requested a refund because I don’t want to eat a cold pizza that’s been reheated. He tells me I need to request the refund in the app. I followed all of the instructions and still have not received a refund to date for an order I never received. I will never ever use money here ever again.

Have to use a card and I think they trying to move to a waiterless/self serve thing. First of all, cash is first but here it’s not an option at all. Loved the service and workers but the company as a whole…nah. However, having them at the place you sit when waiting for plane and gate is a great idea.

Google
The menu items listed as vegan that aren't actually vegan, this creates a lot of confusion and makes this place a poor spot for those with dietary restrictions.

Google
9 oz pour of house chardonnay $26. 6 oz pour of house chadonnay $16. Two wines, a short miller light draft, and a coffee $66.75. Really overpriced!

Yelp
Staff was friendly and helpful, as well as quick. Decent drink and food selection available. The server quickly found me a table and took my order as soon as she could considering how busy it was. Airport bars aren't always as clean and welcoming as Baba was.

Yelp
This stop has great service and a solid variety of options for any bar/food spot let alone one in an airport. Departing Philadelphia and needing some eats as well as libations, I was happy to discover this location on my way to my terminal. You pick a spot to sit and they all have a tablet/terminal. You can order food/drink through the tablet from any of the places in the immediate area so that quickly up's the options available. You also pay through the tablet as well. Ordered a pizza and an old fashioned, the pizza arrived made incorrectly and it was swiftly corrected. Fantastic service. My drink arrived even quicker and was fresh, well made and possibly the best old fashioned I had enjoyed in a little chunk of Time. Well done Baba!

Yelp
Had time for a pre flight breakfast. No real complaints. The breakfast plate was well done and generous portions. Came out fast. Of course you're paying airport prices - so between an iced tea and breakfast plate your talking 24 bucks with tip . but friendly service, and the food was pretty decent.

Yelp
Garbage! Worst drink, repeatedly asked for plate and silverware ...could not get any assistance . Bartender refused to check on us, still never got plates or silverware...whether its him or the system of not talking to take orders this was horrible

Yelp
I understand charging more in an airport but this is ridiculous. $38 for a screwdriver and a Tito's & soda. I now understand the meaning to the initials of OTG... Out To Gouge! BTW, it took close to 15 minutes to get our drinks and they were not very busy. You would think at those prices, you would get them quicker!

Yelp
Late night flight delayed and had to order from the iPads near the bar. Placed my electronic order but 5 mins later the bartender walked over to inform me that while bar was open - the kitchen was closed. While most would be leaving a poor rating, the bartender brought over a pre-made salad from the cooler nearby and quickly refunded my money. Super nice and went the extra mile to make it right as best he could.

Yelp
Here you can- Grab drinks from their full bar, wine & beer on tap, lunch, dinner and a quick bite, while you wait for flight. Bar seating and some free standing high sitting stools also available. Get work done, or meet other travelers, alone or with a small group. My ratings are based on a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 is tragic and 5 is Ouuwww terrific! Overall ratings- 4.5 Food- 5 stars for an airport eatery. Had the short rib toast with bebere flavors, topped with Romano and arugula. Customer service- 5 stars. Bartender Kevin was both engaging and entertaining. Cleanliness- 4.5 Ambiance- 5 stars..comfortable convenience to grab drinks and food, while you wait to board your fligh. Can traveler watch and meet new people.

Yelp
Great looking bar zero interaction. When should we expect the Jetson's liquor vending machines. What a shame. Even the drink servers(not bar tenders) agreed. And touching the screens is like swiping asphalt

Yelp
I've been flying enough to know that food in airports always cost more than outside of airports. And you can't always expect top notch. But these guys? Oi. Service - yes, in these COVID times you must order from the iPad at the table. Which I did. But I am looking at the bartender and for the next 7 minutes after I placed my order the bartender continued to chat with his friend. It's also not like this was a busy time. It was actually very slow at 3:45 PM. And a coworker had to come from a different area to remind the bartender that he had a beer to pour. Originally I was going to order a bourbon, but $18?!?!? For a single pour, no mixers? It's not top shelf stuff. That was just ridiculous. The food, while service was indeed faster, was very bland. Hummus with lamb tasted like paste with cheap hamburger. No, I was not expecting Michelin-star level quality. But this was a letdown. Next time I'm through this airport, I'll eat someplace very differently.

Yelp
This is Baba Bar. It says they are open until midnight. My flight that departed at 7 pm was returned to Philly. Delayed until 1230 am take off. At 930 pm, once passengers were deplaned and were ordering drinks and food, this bar closed. So when a group of passengers needed a bit of comfort, a little relief, and were willing to spend the money, this bar CLOSED. So much for customer service.

Yelp
Was 6:30 am and not busy but found the service sucked. Workers just standing around talking. Girl finally drops my food in a styrofoam container and leaves. No napkin ... and I open the container to find a skimpy breakfast for almost $30! My potatoes were missing. I flag her down and she tells me she " forgot" to tell me they ran out. Really!?! So I ask her for a refund of some type and she tells me she will credit my coffee. As I leave I tell her I haven't seen a text with a credit and she assures me she did it. Guess what. No credit! Skip this place! Awful!!!!!

Yelp
Bar tender very friendly at 7pm on 4/14/22. We loved the mushroom pizza. Would come back.

Yelp
The food selections are very limited here. But that is typical of airport locations. The staff was good but I didn't like that most interactions were done via an iPad. The bar selection was good and allowed you to relax a bit. The food was just ok. The Caesar salad was good. Felt the other food was over cooked and dry

Yelp
So high tech. The bar is super fancy and cool. Edison bulbs. Comfy chairs. You order from an iPad and the service was very quick. The beer was served in a freezer chilled glass which I greatly appreciate. The avocado toast was fresh and a yummy pre flight snack.

Katy E N.

Yelp
People have complained about the staff, yet I found no fault on that front. Very attentive and personable. The food however - just bad. Not at all the caliber you would expect from a James Beard award winning chef. Understood they are not actually preparing the food, but the menu itself lacks any sentiment of the cuisine in which he is renowned for. A true disappointment. I hate leaving reviews, but this should be avoided.

Yelp
Eaten and drank here twice in past week. Some of the food is very good, but some not good. The Greek salad dressing was warm and tasted awful. Requested extra virgin olive oil, red vinegar and lemon. Took a few minutes but it came. Salad was decent. The bar server is very nice but needs to speak and smile more. The table server is on his game with lots of pleasantry.

Yochi S.

Yelp
Expensive and not worth it.. didn't enjoy it..does not represent Mediterranean food at all
google avatar

Yelp
Bartenders here are a ray of sunshine on a delayed and groggy day. We've been here twice in 10 days as both our layovers have been in Philadelphia. Kevin is today's bartender and he's fantastic! Food is decent and prices are high but that's to be expected at the airport. Easy ordering and check out from tablet. Standard faire - light apps, salads, and sandwiches. Olives have a ton of garlic... so if you want extra space on the plane, order away.

Yelp
The finale of my whirlwind weekend in Philadelphia was made so much more amazing and the pinochle of brotherly love by Kevin. I came to bury my fiancé and the end of this immensely emotional trip was topped off with some of the most compassionate and friendly service even before he knew my story. People like him are rare gems to be treasured.

Yelp
The service was great (super friendly and chatty bartenders) but the food I got was overpriced and terrible. $14 for a plate of greens tomatos onions and olives

Joy H.

Yelp
Unfortunately ridiculously priced. I asked for a glass of red and was given white. Not sure I noticed the price of $19 a glass! Food was quite nice and a Jack Daniels and coke was $10 - rip off but airport prices I suppose. Bar tender very friendly and said 'don't worry - Ill give you the red instead but have that one on me' Uh oh - red arrived but charged another $19 when my bill came through. Bottom line - two glasses of wine, two appetisers, 3 drinks - £60 Lesson learned....

Yelp
Seriously? How can anyone mess up a grilled cheese sandwich? The one star is just because you replaced the first sandwich with a slightly less terrible second grilled cheese sandwich which was still a failure. Let's not even talk about the salty tomato soup with oil floating on the surface. Don't eat here. Ever.

Yelp
Nice place. Good drink made by a sassy little bar tender. Harmless and fun. Will return.

Yelp
Kevin is one of the best bartenders I've ever met! He rocks! He is friendly and fun! The bar has a nice atmosphere and lovely patrons!

James K.

Yelp
Of course airport food and drink is over priced. Get used to it. The service here is great. I'm from Philly and used to the stereotypical bad Philly service, not here. Service with a smile and genuine suggestions on what wine to order based on my preferences.

Yelp
Stopped at Baba Bar. Wait staff is excellent but food and prices leave a lot to be desired. You are at the Philadelphia Airport after all. Not thrilled with the fact I can't pay cash for drinks.
google avatar

Caitlin M.

Yelp
Oscar and Kevin rock! You want a great drink and excellent service, come to this place

Peg K.

Yelp
Super fresh and delicious avocado toast. Very relaxing experience; Baba Bar is a nice addition to Philly Airport!

Yelp
Highway robbery - $23 for a 9 ounce pour of their cheapest wine. The standard pour is 5 ounces and they are quite serious about their pour - so you need to upgrade. I realize they have us and can poke it to us, but this is ridiculous. The service was good - partly because they work their own tip into the bill and you feel extremely guilty altering the 18-25% tip they add on. I needed the drink - but I suggest waiting to get on the plane for their cheap glass of wine.

Yelp
Great food and even better service.....Thanks for not making me feel that I needed to eat and run.....Cheers

Yelp
Yesterday afternoon, I was at Baba Bar while witnessing a very rude customer. He was mad that he had to order through their iPad system (1. every single bar in the airport uses this system and 2. it's not difficult to work one..i even offered to help him). The rude old man kept insisting that he would only pay in cash so the bartender, Oscar, said that he could go somewhere else to get his drink then, rightfully so. The man then threatened Oscar, telling him that he was going to get him fired because he worked for American Airlines. After leaving the bar, the man continued to stalk the area from a distance. HE THEN walks up to me, while I'm still sitting at the bar and tells me that he's going to get the bartender fired. I laughed and called him disgusting, asking him if he had anything better to do than harass a young woman who was just minding her own business. The senile man finally left after Oscar told him to stop harassing me. Oscar handled the whole situation very professionally, despite the old lunatic.

Matt M.

Yelp
Oscar and Kevin were awesome. This bar was conveniently located across from our gate. Oscar helped with our drink order and was very personable and Kevin was cracking jokes the whole time. This was a very pleasant experience. We had a lot of fun for our short period of time in the concourse. These guys are seriously great. Thanks Oscar and Kevin, your great.

Kamran B.

Yelp
Most ridiculous service and when you order it using their google devices it automatically charges 18% tip. Tip is for the service and not a guarantee. The bar tender who helped us today wouldn't had get a penny for his bullshit attitude. Terrible service and ridiculous customer service skills.

Teri L.

Yelp
The staff is horrible...more interested in talking with each other than waiting on their customers. The place was empty and I had to ask if my order went through!! The server told me my Bud Lite was $10....The 18% tip was included!!! And it was really only $9.40...She kept the additional 60 cents. Not a big deal but she certainly didn't even earn the 18%!! I ordered on a tablet So really there was no service!! If I could give 0 stars, I would.
