Where To Dine Along The Jubilee Line

"We love this buzzing, self-described ‘mini Tel Aviv’ under the railway arches near Southwark station, where vibrant, adventurous sharing plates include savoury king prawn baklava and a brisket ‘doughnut’; a good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes and charming, confident service round things out." - Andrew Young

We held a special birthday celebration at the restaurant’s private room with 20+ guests. Our experience was amazing. Alex was great helping us plan the event, and throughout the evening the entire team, led by Esther, provided flawless service to everyone. All our guests praised the quality of the food, the atmosphere, the service and their overall experience. We highly recommend this restaurant for private events as well as for “regular” dinners. We will definitely be back. Thank you Alex, Esther and the Baba Yaga’s crew.

It feels like the place lost its charm and care. We ordered 3 fish (the most expensive dish on the menu) and paid extra for side dishes, but the portions were ridiculously tiny—so we had to go to another restaurant afterward to feel full (we're 3 skinny guys). Embarrassing. Nothing special about the dishes either; no wonder it was half empty on Friday night.

A friend had recommended this restaurant to me several years ago. The ambience and the decor were beautiful. From the beginning, we had very bad service. The server was not very warm or welcoming. However the owner was nice and tried to redeem our experience which was a nice gesture .

I went to the restaurant with my family. We sat outside in the really nice garden, which is a really nice atmosphere. It was pretty hot, but the fans made it comfortable. We tried a lot of dishes and they were all great. Salads, fish, soups, beef, sausages. It’s all really good. The staff were really nice. Another plus is the location. We booked the table for 19:30 which was perfect for a short walk on the beach right before we got there. 5/5

Super nice place right next to the beach The restaurant has a very cozy European atmosphere Service was professional The food was excellent! Shrimp dish was very flavorful - I recommend ordering the bread and dip it in the sauce Salmon was tasty, the small potato pie was on point! Borscht soup was well balanced and had great flavor - you can feel it was cooked for a long time Same with the beef stew - so rich, just delicious Pilmani was so soft - like eating a meat cloud I think I found my new favorite place near the beach!

We came in a very large group, some where visiting from abroad, at the time we were about to sit we found out that we were off in our counting and had 4 people more then planed (total of 27 people) The restaurant team took it very nice, moved some tables and chairs and help to accommodate all the extra people, we all enjoyed very much, the food was good and the service took good care of us.

Tanya was very kind patient and understanding for our service. The food is very authentic and reminded me of grandmas kitchen, ambience was quiet in a Friday afternoon
