Quite possibly the best gnocchi I have had in years! Pesto, Alfredo, and pink vodka sauce keep it extra interesting! I sat at the bar and the bartender was a gem. Attentive, but not intrusive! Decent wine list. Inventive and varied menu. Very fair pricing!

Google
All I can say is YUMMY, classy, and within budget! Happy hour is a winner, and the Monday Tuesday spaghetti special is all that. I love everything on the menu. This place is a hit every time. Those happy hour drinks were on point! You must visit if you want tasty upscale Italian food when you are balling on a budget! O, let's not forget the bread oil.. Om yummy!

If you love spaghetti and meatballs, then you must go to Babbo Italian Eatery. Every Monday and Tuesday, you can enjoy it for $6.99. They also have great lunch specials happy hour, and on Thursdays, you can try their chicken parmigian for $9.99. Our waitress Aaliyah was very friendly and took really good care of us. The decor is modern and upscale. The dinner menu has a nice selection of Italian delights.

Google
Surprisingly good. I was expecting a chain with non-authentic Italian cuisine but I was wrong. This restaurant exceeded expectations. The menu is extremely large with all of the Italian staples and then some. I ordered the pasta marinara, which could match up against anyone’s. They honored my request for heavy sauce. The sauce was zesty, with a nice consistency and just the right amount of sweetness. The portion size was adequate. The accompanying basil was fresh and added a nice touch. The side of sausage was good. The sausage was flavorful but was cooked a little too long, which took out some flavor and the juiciness. The server was friendly and extremely attentive. The prices were cheaper than most of the Italian restaurants in the valley. I will definitely go back here.

Google
I really miss the Chandler location. Now we drive about 25 mins to get to this location. But with their Monday and Tuesday special for their spaghetti and meatballs, we make the drive. And tonight, they offered a special, $7.99 for fettuccine Alfredo and they didn’t skimp! Nice portions and of course unlimited bread. Delicious but very garlicky. This location is cute and clean but on the smaller side. With my unsweetened iced tea (passion fruit) and pasta, it was about $10 which was a great price. Service tonight was decent but I think they’re a little overwhelmed and understaffed so I wouldn’t hold it against them. Place is always clean, portions are always nice and big.

Google
This place was actually very good! The inside is very modern and hip. It was kind of empty, but it was lunch time. The prices were surprisingly good as well. The service was excellent and the food was even better! I built my bowl and I couldn't believe how great it taste. It was the perfect size serving and the bread was more than enough. I would definitely recommend this place.

Google
IMPRESSESIVE. The entire experience was fantastic. The food was delectable, the service impeccable (ask for Tyler)! This place has so many Italian dishes I have never seen offered, elsewhere (along with some familiars). Made for a terrific "send-off dinner" for my newly official university student/kiddo. (This place would make an equally sweet date or family meal spot.) Highly recommend!

We stopped in for a late lunch based on the Yelp reviews. Jennifer was our hostess and waitress. She was very friendly and gave helpful suggestions. We ordered the pizza and lunch special with pasta and side salads. Very delicious. Large portions. I love Italian restaurants with authentic brick pizza ovens. This was a cool restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

Super Yummy Italian food. Fresh ingredients and kind staff. Good portions, happy hour is key! Greta for big groups or families.

Yelp
Between appointments, I noticed I had some time between one to the other. I drove out to the area of the last appointment, and saw they had a Babbo nearby. Pasta is always a good choice! I don't often eat meat, but a shrimp pasta seemed to be just what I was craving that day and it definitely hit the spot! Every meal at Babbo starts with complimentary bread with oil/balsamic and quite frankly one of the reasons I frequent this chain of restaurants. The Creamy Garlic Pasta ($18.50) substitute shrimp (+3) was such a large portion that I struggled to make a dent in it. It was the perfect lunch to enjoy as this Babbo location is by far the most beautiful! Loved the coziness, while maintaining a sleek look. The service was fantastic and very friendly. This will definitely be a return again when I'm in the area, and one of my doctors does bring me into this part of Phoenix regularly.

Yelp
Atmosphere and Service was exceptional. I ordered "Amy's Lasagna". It took a little extra to time to get to the table. They pre-warn you in the menu due to cooking time and it is definitely worth the wait. Highly recommend this if you're looking for fabulous Italian food.

Yelp
Last minute venture to go out for dinner on a Monday night, we got right in which was great. The renovations are lovely, very airy and open with gorgeous views of the mountains. We just missed Happy hour, which ends at 6p. Looks good though, will have to check that out another time. We ordered the Brussel Sprouts with beets & goat cheese for an appetizer. It was presented and cooked well. The earthy flavors were a balanced counterpart to our decadent main courses. We got the White Buffalo pasta, a buffalo chicken pasta with creamy gorgonzola sauce. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender with crunchy breading & smothered in spicy Buffalo sauce. The linguine with creamy gorgonzola sauce with broccoli was outrageously good. We also got the short rib mushroom ravioli which was the least favorite. We had high hopes for the ravioli but it was too oily and would've been much better with a creamy garlic parmesan sauce. I must also mention our server was great. He was attentive but not hoovering. He was quick & efficient and not pushy. He really added to the enjoyment of a nice dinner out. We were very happy with the experience and are looking forward to going back.

Yelp
Wow- can't believe we've been missing out on this place! We loaded up at Sprouts for the week then saw Babbo on the other side of the parking lot and went to give it a try. We had been to another location maybe a decade ago so it seemed "new" to us. I ordered the new lemon garlic spaghettini (sun GF noodles) and my husband ordered a fish with buffalo chicken. They also brought bread with olive oil and balsamic to the table. My dinner was so good- so lemony but not overpowering. My husband really enjoyed his but would probably ask to sub for a different pasta next time (slurping noodles gets messy!). This place was pretty dead but I noticed a lot of to-go orders were being picked up. It was clean, friendly staff- overall a great experience- we will definitely be back! Ps- big portions- I've got enough for lunch tomorrow!

Yelp
Ambiance was nice. Service was not great. Waitress kept bringing me a soda and it wasn't even for me at the table. The syrup for the coke wasn't working and it took her two tries to understand that we were switching from coke to Coke Zero. My wife had the fig pizza and it was pretty good. My daughter got the cheese pizza and my son had the meatball sub that looked decent. I ordered a chalkboard entree which was $20 without paying extra for any protein. Added the chicken to it and it wasn't more than 2-3 oz of chicken. It would have been fine, except the food came out barely at room temperature. I would have complained but it took too long to get the food and I wasn't going to wait with young kids for my meal to be remade. They also charge a 3% transaction fee which wasn't advertised to us. For the amount we spent, I was expecting something better. There's better Italian food in the valley for the price we paid. Probably won't be going back.

Yelp
1st time I've been here in several years. I remember it feeling a little more homey and Italian. Now it feels like a stepped up pizza place. Menu had a good variety of food. Ordered the martini pasta. The sauce flavor was excellent. The grilled chicken was so so. A little tough. My friend had some sort of a corkscrew pasta with a lemon butter wine sauce. Also good. Had a good glass of red wine. Would not recommend the mixed drinks. No hint of liquor.

Yelp
Really convenient location if you live in the area. Good Italian food, great service and honestly a pretty cool little bar as well. I was pretty impressed with this little place and will be back. Their hero's are a solid option !

Yelp
Fettucine Alfredo Fact: The dish is named after Alfredo Di Lelio, who featured the dish at his restaurant in Rome in the early to mid-20th century; the "ceremony" of preparing it table-side was an integral part of the dish. My closest Babbo closed so when the boys suggested we grab some Babbo's after catching The Cardinals game, I was all for it! I'm pretty sure my body is made of cheese and carbs so I would never decline an invite to get some Italian food. NEVER. I just wanted to have a simple dish of Fettuccine Alfredo so that's what I ordered. It's nothing complicated or complex and it filled my belly and my soul with creamy dreamy noodz. This is life, y'all. While February 7th is National Fettuccine Alfredo Day, every day can be Fettuccine Alfredo Day if you believe it!

Yelp
My experience at Babbo was great! Showed up on Saturday night (7pm, Mother's Day weekend) and got a table right away. Jordan our server was on top of everything! Food quality was very high! Creamy sauce, well prepared chicken, great flavors, and must try dessert! Enjoy! Clean environment, spacious, full bar, great service!

Angela P.

Yelp
Ordered take out online as we were staying at a hotel nearby. Online order not filled as their internet was down. We were ok to wait for order to be filled as we paid already online. Regular salads were soooo small. First disappointment! No forks to eat with. Ok thanks! Ordered Mista salad because I love Pepperoncini's. There was not one pepperoncini in the salad! Paid extra for chicken to be added to eggplant Parmesan. There was no chicken at all! Huge mistake to order from here. One star for getting the incorrect order completed in a timely manner.

Joanna R.

Yelp
Ordered takeout-fettuccine Alfredo and the mushroom pasta. Both were very bad. We had ordered extra chicken which was forgotten. They offered a free entre instead of a refund, which we will not use because we will not come back here. Do not recommend

Yelp
I have only been back to babbo three times since the major renovation was completed, and each time I wonder why I am not dining there more often. Recently I stopped in around 2:00 and enjoyed a delicious dish of asparagus and mushrooms with shaved Parmesan, and a perfect GG martini. My server, Drew, was also the bartender, and everything about the experience was first rate thanks to him.

Darlene S.

Yelp
Wow wow wow is all i can say! I brought my parents here from Jersey because my mom loves bread and wanted her to try the foccacia bread they bring complimentry to the table .. Besides that and the amazing pastas we raved about... what really really made our experience was our waiter Gerard! He was absolutely exceptional and went above and beyond accommodating even though was a very busy night. Thrilled with how happy my parents were with everything, i went and told Tyler the manager and even he was wonderful! Willing to drive the distance again just for the service here. Well worth it
google avatar

Richard H.

Yelp
It's been a neighbourhood gem for years. Solid food and good pricing as well. Will recommend for an easy night out when you don't want nothing fancy.
google avatar

Shanny T.

Yelp
Delicious food everytime! We've ordered from here for delivery and sat in the restaurant to eat and everytime we've enjoyed our food immensely. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the ravioli because it had way more mushrooms than ravioli, but it still tasted good.

Yelp
Had THEE BEST (Bulleit) Old Fashioned ever at this spot! Planned to nibble an app during quick business meeting but DEVOURED the signature bread with balsamic/olive oil AND the amazing roasted Brussels sprouts & beets (golden raisins, sliced almonds, feta) appetizer! So glad my contractor introduced me to this place, I'll be back!
google avatar

Alec G.

Yelp
The food here was excellent, I was so pleasantly surprised. Our server Stephanie was such a big help; she listened to me struggle to describe the flavor profile I was looking for and made insightful suggestions. The restaurant itself has such a nice vibe! I definitely have to come back here, such a great experience.

Yelp
This place is the fast food of italian food. Its good, but not even remotely "great." My new favorite thing is their need to add a BS "Surcharge" for rising menu pricing. Nevermind that that are selling a soda that costs 11 cents for $3.50 but now they need to add another FEE because they need to reprint menus everytime the pricing goes up. Heres an idea.. USE COPIED MENUS. I went in and had three drinks and two basic entrees and with their BS surcharge it was $55. Plus tip. NEVER AGAIN.
google avatar

Georgia B.

Yelp
I know a lot of people like the food here, but I was not impressed. The service was good. The ambience was slacking as it didn't seem like an Italian eatery. I haven't been back since.
google avatar

Nicholas M.

Yelp
Absolutely disgusting spaghetti and the meatballs were burnt. The burnt smell was so strong I could literally smell it before I opened the container. As if that wasn't bad enough, the spaghetti itself tasted like absolutely nothing. I have no idea how you make a pomodoro taste like nothing at all but that's what was accomplished. Worse yet, it was like $20 dollars for this dish. I only gave this more than 1 star because 1 of the meatballs was edible, actually had a decent flavor and the bread was good. Overall, a miserable experience.
google avatar

Noah R.

Yelp
Food was pretty good, and service was not bad at all would actually come back, This left me going to the toilet 4 times now so was it worth it? Perhaps.

Bow H.

Yelp
First negative review ever. Curdled/ separated over heated alfredo, Bad overcooked pasta, worse food poisoning....

Yelp
Brought the family in after an event downtown. Surprised we were able to get a table for 7'so quickly on a Sunday night. The staff was great getting things out for the kids and making recommendations for a couple of first timers. Eating keto is tough at an Italian restaurant but they have some great options that don't have pasta. Definitely dirty keto but better to be dirty than to take down a plate of carbs. Kids enjoyed a simple plate of penne with butte sauce. Their favorite. Our son loves their Spaghetti and Meatballs. Caesar Salad with grilled chicken is great. Get it without the croutons if you want a keto option. Babbos is always consistent. Not the best there are better places in the valley but hard to find consistent places that everyone in a large group will be satisfied with. Give it a visit if you haven't been yet.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food reasonably price with great service. Very quiet most of the time.i love the margarita pizza.
google avatar

Donna M.

Yelp
The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The salads are amazing but the my favorite is the spaghetti, the sauce is so delish and it's on special on Monday and Tuesday. Also the bread is yummy. I probably visit this establishment a couple times a month. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Food was okay. Nothing special. Service was especially slow that day. Normally it is better supposedly, my husband and I went out with some of our friends who like this place because they said it was their favorite. But it took them awhile for anyone to even get our drink order. Then even longer to bring our drinks out. It wasn't that busy and there was a "manager" talking to an older gentleman who was reading a book because he had been there the past few nights while we were waiting on our drinks and it felt like we were being ignored because all of his attention was on that gentleman. I do think he sat after us and got his drink way before us as well as his bread. Then we had what was either this boys first night working or he was coming off of a serious smoking break because he wasn't on it at all. He was younger but he was clearly having an off night or something. Not something I would justify for a 2%+ service charge to our check for. The food was forgettable and a bit too garlicky but that can happen. I wouldn't mind coming back for take out but the service alone is dissuading me. Then at the end our server thanks us for being so "laid back". We were trying our hardest not to cause a scene and didn't know whether to laugh or be upset. Now looking back, the main thing that sticks out is how slow and irritating the service was. It's a shame too because it is a nice and clean resturant and looked pleasantly inviting at first. I do hope that management is providing better training in the future because this place did have potential to be one of our favorite restaurants and WAS our friends until a few days ago. Please either raise the menu prices so you can afford to get decent servers or have the capacity to actually train them. I'm sure other patrons wouldn't mind the increase instead of paying an addition at the end for sub par service and food.

Steve V.

Yelp
Food was cold, they botched the order, and tiny portions for the price. Not a fan.

Kelly S.

Yelp
This was our first time at a Babbo. There were three of us, one of whom was my 2.5 year old. Our server asked if we were ready to order as soon as we sat down. I explained it was our first time and we needed a minute. He asked our drink order and, after I ordered, asked, "for the kid?" He came back with the adult beverages almost immediately but not with my child's. When I asked about her drink, he said "yeah, I'll have to grab it." Uhhh what? He then vanished. Like, walked all over the opposite side of the restaurant, tending other guests. This went on for 20 minutes. When we started to leave, the (I presume) manager seemed perplexed and offered to take our order. I described our experience and we left. I was a server for 10 years, I understand the challenges of being short-staffed and having too many tables... but I can't handle rude behavior.

Yelp
Stopped by here for dinner with the family. The food was really good. We all shared the fried mozzarella balls coated in bread crumbs. I got the spicy alfredo with sausage and the food was excellent. My wife got the calzone with sausage and she loved it. I tried a bit and the sauce with it was super good. I can not wait to come back.
google avatar

Brett S.

Yelp
Watery marinara, ordered the.spicy Italian sausage pasta. Worst pasta I've ever had. Service. bread and tea were good.
google avatar

Mandana N.

Yelp
Never been. In the mood for Italian. Great ambiance. Very clean & everything is exactly where it's supposed to be. Love that. Drew was so friendly. Told me about the family. Wishing them nothing but best. The food....amazing. Portions are huge! Had the creamy garlic w/ asparagus. I have lunch tomorrow. Thank you for a wonderful experience

S D.

Yelp
This was probably the saltiest, most processed food I've ever tasted in a non-fast food restaurant. The wait staff was so friendly and nice that I hate to give two stars, but the food was absolutely awful. Everything from the salad to the entrée just not good. Yikes.
google avatar

Jm P.

Yelp
Powered some pizzas and pastas. My favorite thing was the complimentary starter bread with olive oil and balsamic to dip. Pizzas were ok and the spaghetti was also just ok but overall not the worst I've had.
google avatar

Pam S.

Yelp
The petite salad with chicken, added on 2.94% service charge , plus tip cost $18. Way too much for what I received. The service was great.
google avatar

Kym M.

Yelp
Love the food and the service at 16th & Glendale. Great lunch specials, pizza and salad - Enjoy

Yelp
I must of stepped into a different Babbo's after reading a few reviews. Took our daughter there for her 28 Birthday. Loves to have Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo so instead of her usual spot we decided to try someplace different. Arrived at 615 on a Thursday and there were only 17 people seated in the restaurant. Our server was waiting on 4 women at one table and another group of 8. He took our drink order and after 15 minutes I had to ask him about the wine. He said I'm sorry I didn't put in. After he can with wine we ordered and appetizer which came out in about 10 minutes. He took one more drink order and brought us some more wine. Meanwhile a women and her daughter came and he served them there dinner in about 15 minutes. It's now 720 and in walks two gentlemen who order and receive the food in 20. We ordered our food at 720 before the 4 women he waiting on. Their food came out and when I asked about our order he says do you know how long it takes to bake a pizza. Omg it took another 25 minutes before our food came. Then my daughter said Olive Gardens fettuccine is better. 1.6 hours for wine, fettuccine and a 11" pizza. The only thing from a 1 star was the pizza and wine were good and the appetizer. When I asked for a manager he never appeared. Go figure. Not sure I would try there service again.

Yelp
We had wanted to go somewhere else, but didn't make a reservation and given that I have passed this place numerous times over the years we thought we would give it a shot. It was absolutely crazy busy but they found room for us at the bar. for me this is definitely a 3 Star. It's just okay. Really you could say it's a 2 star because I've definitely had a lot better but I don't want to ding them and it really is okay. It may just me our taste but it was really average food. We shared the starter bread, some meatballs, pasta, and something else I can't even remember now. It wasn't bad, but it was very forgettable. The service was slow at the bar and the guy was really overworked from what we saw watching him help with the tons of takeout and a full bar. Mostly we were just shocked by how many takeout orders were coming through this place. It's been around a long time and clearly a local favorite, but we won't be back. There are too many other great places to go for Italian. This is not terrible, but I just was not impressed with the food at all.
google avatar

Kathy R.

Yelp
Our family of 11 had a reservation that was ready for us. The service was absolutely fantastic and expedited. With five grandkids they prepared the entire group's entrees with precision. The meals were exactly as ordered hot. Would recommend for locals and travelers.

Freida C.

Yelp
We had lunch there on Saturday and the food and service were ok. Decided to try it again the following Friday for dinner and were told that unless we have a reservation it would be long wait. Sorry but rude doesn't get it.

Yelp
Delicious!!!! So many different pasta options on the menu! Pasta is my favorite food so finding a good pasta place is always important and I rate this place 10/10! They make their own signature bread. Even the cocktail was very tasteful and strong. The pasta was amazing. They make it fresh!
google avatar

Dbncndq D.

Yelp
Good food but they charge you a fee for eating. Never been to a place that charges you an extra fee for eating

Amanda C.

Yelp
The food here is good and we used to go all the time, but we won't be going again until they stop adding "service fees" to the menu. Raise the prices for the items on the menu and pay your staff appropriately. Stop trying to artificially make your prices seem lower than they really are.
google avatar

Yelp
I'd like to thank the robot that graciously asked me to contact Babbo. Absolutely nothing came of it.
