As someone well versed in the medical center bar hopping scene, I love the new renovations and vibe of this bar. Contemporary interior with loads of space. Large balcony for smokers or just to get some fresh air. Huge shout-out to our bartender, Hillary! She took excellent care of us. Service was fast and the drinks were on point!

My wife and I visited the new Babcock Social Pub and have to say that this place got a lot better, especially under its new owner. The environment is clean and friendly. The beer and drinks are good, and their food is delicious. Try their wings. You wont be disappointed. This bar also has daily drink specials and multiple TV's which cover college and professional sports. They also have a covered patio with picnic style tables. We will definitely be visiting more often.

Amazing! The new ownership is wonderful, and the staff "Stephanie" is absolutely thrilling to be helped by. Now, the smashed brisket burger was insane. So delicious!!! This may have just become my new bar. Thank y'all so much!!!

Same woman attending which is almost dreadful at this point. This “redhead” if I’m not mistaken is mute. She doesn’t know how to talk or speak. At all. I was actually wondering if there was something wrong with her. She charged my card more than once when I only got one beer then didn’t even bother explaining anything except for arguing with customers. Something is seriously wrong with her and somebody needs to take her out of there because she is scaring off the customers. Also heard this from another customer:

Cut off after 3 beers lol. They either like you or they don’t. Was ignored since I walked in. Also I have eaten here before and the food is not good. It’s the rudeness that made me leave this review though.

I just moved to Texas, I'm always on the lookout for the best wings everywhere I go, I m not in yelps reviews but I have to say they have the best wings I've had since getting to Texas, and the bathrooms are clean !!!!! Highly recommended especially the secret social sauce they have

Visited this week and the barmaid was rude, no eye contact. Informed me I had to wait because she had to wash dishes. Really wanted to try the wings everyone was raving about. The sad part it was pretty empty.

Inside, it's pretty dark with all the windows covered by curtains, giving it a slightly shady vibe. The place has concrete floors and a spacious layout. There are two dart boards and two pool tables if you're looking for some entertainment. It's a decent place to hang out, but expect the usual suspects in this neighborhood bar. The staff seem to be ok for the most part.

Simple bar, no cocktail menu that I saw. Ordered a margarita which was okay too much simple syrup. They have a couple of pool tables and a bball. Rr can be cleaner.

Horrible service! Walked in, straight to the bar which had 8 guests seated. The bartender looked straight at me, didn't say a word, Not even a smile and continued flirting with an older gentleman. She then walked to the register, walked to another guy, took his drink order then to another guest and helped them before even saying a word to me. As I walked out 2 other guests walked out also. I asked "She is she always like that?" One guy said "A b*tch?" His friend said "I don't know but that's literally why we're leaving" Thought I'd try again today and the door says they open at 2pm however it's 3:30pm and the door is locked. Maybe hire less a$$ more class and your establishment wouldn't have a 2 star review??

The drinks were alright, the music was really loud, hard to socialize if you can't hear each other.

Atmosphere was lively. Drinks were strong. You can always change the music, if was a good crowd on a Friday night.

I'm not here to talk about anything else other than HOW HOT and UNCOMFORTABLE I am Sunday at 5PM. I understand, it's hot outside but man... change the thermostat accordingly. My husband and I are sweating drinking a beer. It's awful.

Sucks cause this is one of my Togo to bars after work. And I know I'm gonna see him again. Legit in my work clothes right after work. Long story short I noticed this guy bartender drunk. I asked if he was drunk jokingly, didnt laugh at him or anything said cause his eyes were off. He got upset saying "I had a fucking seizure bitch" clearly he's drunk. I said "my bad" even tried to tell him how I had one a few months ago do to same thing. Explained how I lost my dad due to the same shit. His response to that part was "my dad is dead to, he got shot in the head bitch. Keep going" (found out that was lie) sick cause I'm literally still grieving my actual dead father while your lying on ur dad who's clearly alive. Said that part about my dad so U know I can try to fix where I hurt his "feelings" . Fuck that. Comes up to me saying "u go to work like that? You need make up bitch" once he said that I started recording. The other bartender is clearly apologizing for him telling him to stop. Cause she knows he's drunk. During the end when he walks away he screams on the other side of the bar "WHO WANTS TO BEAT A BICH UP" some other female goes "who?" Points at me screams "that bitch" she sees me as I'm looking at them, doesn't do shit. Didn't expect her to honestly. long story short I was dealing w a drunk bartender Yes. I told the owner the next day. She kept apologizing for him trying to offer a free bottle....... (No thanks) I don't need a pity party. but also said "maybe u shouldn't say something about his disability" like bro I did not make fun of his fucking disability yet alone I didnt even know he had a disability. I don't fucking know his life your a bartender grow some thicker skin bro. I asked a questioned bro. I didnt laugh or anything I just asked if he was drunk. She kept saying "well he's gonna be suspended only" .... Excuse me. After this.. sent her the video and she just kept apologizing. Find out he's a fucking part time manager there... wtf (As we were walking out second video) he literally follows us towards the door screaming "WHATS UP BITCH" the bouncer (who's also drunk) and the other bartender starts holding him back. Pushing him to the back whole time screaming "FUCKING BITCH" I see some old friends told them hi. They legit said he's trying to pick a fight w them also. I was like what the fuck. The fact he's picking fights w everyone at the bar. Does all this while the owner legit only suspends him. Idk as a bartender dealing w this from being on the other side, U tell me what would you have done? . Only thing I regret is not calling the cops on this dude. I'm still heated so excuse me if I'm not making much sense guys on my grammar.

AVOID!!! They will not like you there, distracting their regulars men. The short curly haired girl is extremely rude! She cut me off for telling her she cut me in line for the restroom that I had been waiting in for 5+ minutes. Then I was telling someone at the bar what happened and she said I had to leave if I kept complaining Do not trust those bartenders no matter how nice they seem. Slow, incompetent, liars...those three words describe them best. Never in 29 years have I been treated this way at a bar. But it makes sense why she works here, it's no good!

I am giving 3 stars because I see potential here due to location and layout. Myself and my significant other came in to play pool and could not believe the condition of the tables. Hands down the worst I have seen at an establishment. It would be much smarter to just not have them than to keep them out in that kind of shape. We left immediately and both had the same synopsis. This place could be great but someone has to actually care about it. I don't see it lasting another year unless some non expensive tweaks are made. We went down the road to Little Woodrow's which although not perfect, has pool tables they are playable.

New Santa Social pop up is super cute and these drinks go off!! also Instagrammable photo ops as well.

Came through for an event and was disappointed with the slow service. Only two bartenders with a packed bar, took almost twenty minutes to get my first drink. Probably won't be back.

Cute, clean bar. Went for a Cowboys game. Wasn't overly packed. The service for food wasn't the best, but if you have patience you'll get it and it will be hot. Nice and friendly.

Owner's guests were highly prioritized. Owner would go into the kitchen and grab guests food. Only 3 people on the floor two bartenders one "manager', ridiculous wait time for our wings. The owner's guests did get their wings though. Bartenders would continue to go to their tables to cater to them. Would highly recommend to hire more staff if this business cannot handle a "rush".

I have been here twice. I decently enjoy this bar I love it for the games but hit or miss on the service. The drinks specials are not posted you have to ask then some of the bartenders aren't aware and have to ask another bartender. The female bartenders are more laid back might be busy on phones or occupied by their friends. The male bar tender is alert and helpful. I ordered their wings and they were decent. My cousins ordered queso,bbq sandwich, hamburger and chicken sandwich. We enjoyed all their food it was decent. I would return for their games. They have pool, darts and shuffle board. I think it's worth stopping and checking out for yourself.

They will treat you like complete crap the minute you walk in. Came during Christmas week and truly they were grinches. Beware of PETER he handed us off like trash. Justin do better hire better bartenders.

Steak night. Great concept. Poor execution. Waited over an hour for food. Asked bar staff 3 times to check on order. "It's all set out.. will be our in a minute" minute never came.

Don't Go here unless you want to be treated rudely, hit, and he ignored by the staff. Myself and my friend just had the worst experience on her birthday here. First when we walked in the bouncer asked us for our IDs, as I grabbed my purse and moved towards the table right by the door to the left this man hit me on my shoulder, while rudely repeating he needs to see my ID. My friend witnessed him hitting me. When I told him I was going to put my purse on the table to find my ID he made a rude face and turned his back to me. When I showed him my ID he ignored me and then grabbed it from my hand and threw it back at me. Then me and my friend went to the bar where two of the bartenders and a bar back proceeded to ignore us, even after we tried to get their attention several times. They simply laughed and talked with each other. One of the female bartenders turned to look at us and rudely rolled her eyes and gave us her back while she continued to talk to the other female bartender, and other male worker behind the bar. It was not packed at all to where you could say we were not seen, In fact it was pretty dead tonight as it was Wednesday, and when we walked up to the bar one of the bartenders was at the machine and we stood right next to her before she walked off to take care of some thing else, but when she was done with the person she was attending she proceeded to ignore us and all other customers there. This Staff has extremely poor customer service skills, and it won't surprise me one bit if this bar shuts down within months.

5/13 went to have a drink. Bartender tonight was the worst. She seemed to be too busy fighting with her significant other to pay attention to people waiting 15 minutes to get a drink. We gave up and decided to leave instead and go across the street to Babcock bar.

Where to begin for my first time here...... An empty bar needing local San Antonians to spread word of mouth.... World Series is on (game 2), walk in and not one tv is on the World Series. Additionally, after asking the bartender to change them... 20 minutes later it was done by the cook name Tino who was very nice. Subsequently, new staff came in shortly after at 8pm. RYAN the manager argued with me about the TV's being on the Spurs game Vs the World Series. He flippantly rolled his eyes, acting as a juvenile needing to feel worthy..... and I again asked him for the 4th time to fix the TVs in the empty corner I was sitting in with a few friends.. sad that a new local joint wants to deter the local Babcock area residents from coming in. 25 mins later I had to address Ryan again for changing the TVs. Hey GM and owners, here's a pointer... Re-evaluate your staff if you'd like you neighborhood locals to spend our money here. Until then. Bye bye

Atmosphere was modern bar with a Kitchen. Lots of Tv's, and bar staff was friendly. Menu was traditional at door, pickles, wings, quesadillas, nachos. I had the Fried potato salad and added brisket. Had diced potatoes, brisket, bbq sauce, bacon and sour cream. For $5 plus the up charge for the brisket, totally worth it! Would definitely order it again! Awesome!

First of all it takes a lot for me to get on any platform and leave a review, but when i do it's because it was a terrible experience. The management of this bar is some of the worst I've ever experienced. Multiple times me and my friends were harassed. Will never suggest this place to anyone. They were very rude and seemed to belittle their guests. Do yourself a favor and avoid this bar.

Went for a Christmas party with my coworkers and had two beers. They took my card but never started a tab. When I asked to close out my tab they were hesitant to give me my card. I woke up the next day to fraudulent activity alert from my bank. They charged an additional 90 dollars on my card. When I tried to contact the establishment, no one answers the phone.

Great spot to unwind and relax. Good happy hour specials. Coming out with a new menu soon!! Georgie and Ally are AWESOME behind the bar and Timothy ROCKS in the kitchen.

We lost our friends phone and they literally kicked us out because the bouncer didn't like that we were looking for the phone outside the seating area . Then the bartender in the green sweater was super sarcastic & rude. They literally have 8 people there in total (including us) but I guess they dont need the business. I use to always come here but never again lol they basically kicked us out

I only go here because it's a walking distance from home. Everytime I come here the bartender is always ignoring patrons and having conversations with regulars. This is fine and all, but acknowledge your patrons and then go back to your flirting/bro talk. I literally waited 19 minutes before someone acknowledged me.

I can't believe this place only has 2.5 stars right now. I had an amazing experience when I went for a football game on a Sunday afternoon/evening. I sat at the bar and had really good service, my beer glass never got empty. I also order the buffalo chicken dip and thought it was pretty good. My friend ordered the fried pickles and those were some of the BEST fried pickles I have ever had, in my opinion. Maybe I'm being biased because they were hyping the Philadelphia Eagles up and I'm an eagles fan, either way I enjoyed myself.

worst place ever. If you don't know the bartender forget about it. If your there to relax to watch a game forget about it. Bartender will mock you in front of her friends because you don't the channel it's on. She'll kiss her friends ass but the customer that's paying she won't give a rat's ass. So Do not give this place the time of day unless you want dumb dumb dumb. This is the first place if I've been where a bartender asks me and mocks me and shames me because i DID NOT KNOW the channel the Spurs played on. Excited to try a new spot. Walked in waited at the bar, 3 bartenders not really that busy and there was no greeting. Waited for about 5 minutes while bartenders joked around and ignored us. Walked out to take our business elsewhere, don't think they even noticed.

I had a concern on how many beers I ordered, as my tab seemed rather high. When I asked for an itemized receipt they acted as if I was asking for an impossible task. They paced around for about 10 minutes saying the computer was down. They finally got me an itemized receipt with about 5 more beers than I ordered. When I mentioned they over charged me (they were working with my open tab connected to my card so I couldn't actually dispute this charge) the manager grabbed 2 $5 dollar bills out of the register, handed them to me, and walked away. I felt a little disrespected getting paid off like that, but in all honesty the wings were actually pretty good so I figured I'd let them slide with a negative Yelp review.

So the manager is a jerk.... then he was in the bathroom which you can see from dining area wiping off his pants (groin area) with a white restaurant towel!!!! He walks out and puts that towel on the first table! So the next employee to come "clean" off that table might use the towel to "clean" off table!! WTH!

Place is good for a quick drink came in on a Monday and they had Karaoke not my type of scene but if you like singing this is your Monday spot.

Aweful bar. The owner of the bar was extremely rude and condescending towards women. Mulitple times he harrased my group of friends. Will never give them service agian or any of their affliated bars. (Hills n dales, on the rocks, champaign room.)

Pay attention to the reviews. The service is terrible. At times there are 3 bartenders with very little activity at the bar and they'll still ignore you. Plenty of seating and a lot of TV'S for the game. Atmosphere is great as well including an awesome patio and great music by the DJ. But what good is all that if you have to wait 20 mins for a drink at a bar that's not even busy? And then you get attitude with the service? And this wasn't my first time there. I've given this place several chances. Not anymore. Will not be returning.

Always enjoy visiting this place. Great place to watch sports, grab a beer and a bite to eat. Went on Sunday with my buddy who is and Eagles fan. They have a large Eagles fan group who was there so it was fun rockin my Cowboy jersey.

Visited for the first time this evening! I don't frequent bars much, but I sat at the bar with my bestie and had a great time shooting the breeze and drinking! What really impressed me was our bartender Jimmy! He was AWESOME! It was a super busy Friday night and Jimmy was on top of it!! He was quick and efficient and very personable as well! He obviously knew his stuff!!! We also had the chicken nachos which were very tasty! I would definitely visit again on a night Jimmy was tending bar!

I come here regularly, at least 2 times a week. The food is good, especially the nachos. The bartenders are respectful and good at what they do. Especially Georgie during the day she is sweet and attentive to serving us. I definitely look forward to coming to "The Social" as me and husband call it, to relax and enjoy a few cold beers. Definitely a HUGE plus to see all "The Well" bartenders here. "The well" definitely didn't deserve such stellar girls or service, I am glad "the social" snatched them up. Big shout out to Georgie, Emily, Sydney !!!!!

Food was decent, drinks were reasonably priced and it was pretty clean. I can't remember the name of our bartender, but he was very attentive and friendly.

Babcock Social Pub is a great spot to grab a quick drink, or to watch a game (especially if you're an Eagles fan). Plenty of TVs, great seating, and attentive bar staff. Drink are priced reasonably and they also have good specials. Didn't try much from the food menu, but the item that we did try was the buffalo chicken dip & it was delicious. Will definitely be returning in the future.

The service is very fast and good. That might be in part of the very few customers on a Friday night. The music is loud and I would probably look past it if it was actually good or from this decade.

No air conditioning! Weak service! Not a fan. The restroom are horrible! I can hang at most bars and understand that businesses do struggle but this joint is nice on the outside but dirty!

This is one of the local SA businesses that supports the Philadelphia Eagles fans regularly & we love it! Drink & food specials on game day, staff is great & food is good too. The Buffalo chicken dip is tasty, the Chicken Tenders are more like mini chickens, and chicken quesadillas are plenty!! The new owner did a nice job revamping the place, nice home town/ neighborhood feel to this place.

There waitresses were very rude to regulars. They never asked if we wanted another drink until 20 min.later. There services could have been better

I truly enjoyed my time here. The food was great and the drinks were just as good. However, it truly saddened me to see white claws served with straws. How wasteful of a non compostable product! Nobody needs a straw to drink out of a can! Other than that. I actually really enjoyed my time here.

If i could leave 0 stars I would. We often try to support local businesses, I have never felt the need to leave a yelp review until now and it is only to warn people. We had food and beers at this bar decided to close out because our server was leaving and we got our tab that was 75 dollars. The tab did not have an actual description of what we were paying for and since we thought it was too much for the amount of time we had been there we asked for an actual copy of what we were paying for. The server was upset pacing back and forth and took 20 minutes to get this back to us. They over charged us for beers said we drank 14 beers when we had only been there a couple of hours. Anyways we payed the tab waited for our food for 30 min and it never came. The manager did not say a word to us when we asked about or food and just gave us 10 dollars in cash and walked away. Horrible management, customer service , and they were acting sketchy. Count your beers if you decide to go!

I've been really disappointed in our last couple of visits to Babcock Social. It has been our favorite bar since it opened, but not recently. A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I were turned away at the door because I had open-toed shoes. Unless there is a new finding that you can get COVID by wearing sandals, I'm not sure why that's no longer allowed. We had to go all the way home to change my shoes and then come back, only to see people with open-toed shoes sitting at the tables! This weekend, we came by because our friend was having his birthday party. It was not crowded by any means. There were plenty of tables left throughout the night. Over the course of the night, we claimed 3 tables in the corner by the DJ. We were all 1 party. We did not go up to the bar and we wore masks when we went to the bathroom. But at 1am the bouncer told us to leave because we were standing too much! Seriously? Is the new rule that we have to stay seated? We were only interacting with our party and between our tables. I understand it's the bouncers job to keep everyone in check, but if I'm staying within my party and at my tables, what is the issue there? What's the point of going out if I have to stay seated? Might as well just stayed on my couch. I have looked at the executive orders regarding bars/restaurants reopening, I can't see anywhere that it says we have to stayed seated. If I am wrong, I welcome the education. Thank you for hearing me out. Babcock Social has lost some regular customers.

I have been here 3 times once on a Saturday night once on a Thursday evening and once on football Sunday. Great music bartenders are nice and the bar itself is clean. Bar food is great so far have tried the grilled cheese brisket and the chicken quesadilla both have been really good. Lots of screens to watch the games. Overall nice little spot to switch it up.

Too bad, in our new neighborhood- very hit or miss on service. Hoping some new competition opens up to give us a better option.
