"Babel House is a little haven away from the hustle and bustle of Mayfair, for a quality, classy, and understated taste of the Black Sea. What does the Black Sea taste like? Like a plush armchair, that’s what. This is wintery comfort food at its finest. Bread, dumplings, filthy potatoes, and lots and lots of meat. You’d be best served avoiding the smoked fish here. Just dive straight into the beef stroganoff with a side of cabbage rolls. This is a left-field choice for a special dinner or a low-key business lunch." - Jake Missing

Tucked away on a back street, around the corner from New Bond Street in Mayfair, is this new restaurant serving dishes from the black sea! We decided to do a range of small dishes, from squid, octopus, salad and my 1st time with caviar! with excellent service and the dishes being so fresh, I even managed to persuade my beach body, ready wife, to share a dessert! One to check out

A pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, great service, it's a really good restaurant if you want something a little bit different! Beef Stroganoff is sublime. I recommend ordering a set of cakes for dessert, enough to share between two! Will come again and bring friends for sure.

Expected much more. Waiters were not very pleasant, food was average, borsch was ok, very average dumplings. Desserts are very nicely served, amazing pistachio cake. Also a super small bathroom. Would give the food another chance, but service needs to be improved

Amazing food, authentic, light and plenty of character. First truly Odessa style / Black sea restaurant in London. Lighter adn more Mediterranean twist on Ukrainian/Russian food. Best to share a selection of starters to try few things! coming back again.

Food was good, but the service was rubbish. A family of four came in after us and seem to have there wine orders placed and also received the wine before we could even place the order. Guessing they believe that older people are going to spend more and hence ignore younger couples. Bit shameful. And this continued through the evening where our table was ignored and older couples were given attention

My favorite restaurant in central London, every dishes is delicious and the price is reasonable. Staff are friendly and professional, the atmosphere is so peaceful and cozy. Perfect place for family and couples even there is private dining room!💕
