Google
5-stars +! Alejandro and Chef Dani made our first experience at Babette Miami truly amazing. We thought that if somebody names their restaurant Babette should be someone who loves food and it is true! Branzino and the duck were perfect. The chocolate/miso sauce for the duck was spectacular. And the double-chocolate dessert, with Venezuelan carenero chocolate. OMG.

The charm, the food, the vibes, the love story. Babette is a such a gem. My bestie and I hosted our birthday dinner there and Alex was not only amazing to work with, but she nailed every single detail that we asked for and I am picky. The chef created the tasting menu and recommended wine pairings along the way and the wine was SPOT ON. They have relationships with smaller vineyards and so we got to try wine that you wouldn’t be able to find otherwise. The food was impeccable. Every course came out on time and there were no bumps along the way. Every single guest was not only impressed, but left with their hearts and stomachs full. Thank you Babette for your passion and love for food and wine 🫶🏽😘

I first want to mention how much I adore the film *Babette’s Feast*, so the restaurant’s name, Babette, instantly captured my heart. My appreciation for the place really blossomed during a dinner outing with my sister. Our night was truly spectacular! The food was excellent—definitely try the beet tartare as an appetizer; you won’t regret it! The service was outstanding as well. A big thank you to our server from Madrid 😉 for making our evening so enjoyable!

Babette has a cozy, cheerful, and warm atmosphere that feels very inviting. The food unfortunately was disappointing. The focaccia lacked an airy texture. The tuna tartare was tasteless, the branzino was fishy, the gnocchi had an unnecessarily heavy sauce and was not well seasoned, while the entrecôte steak was well seasoned but served in very small portions. My apple mille feuille was overcooked. I did like the accompanying french fries as well as the beets. The wine list was excellent Service was slow, the restaurant was sold out with our group of 24 but they had ample notice of our arrival.

I recently attended a private dinner here, and it was truly exceptional. The experience felt intimate and personally curated from start to finish. The chef himself came out to greet us, walked us through the beautifully crafted menu, and even guided us through the wine pairings. Every dish was incredibly fresh and delicious — I’m still dreaming about the buttery, fluffy bread starter. The wine selections were unique and top-quality, and each pairing elevated the meal even more. Overall, the food was superb, and the serene atmosphere made the evening unforgettable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a special, thoughtfully curated dining experience.

We absolutely loved our dinner at Babette. The restaurant is inviting and full of charm. The staff made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Every dish was delicious and clearly made with care. You can really tell how much love goes into the cooking and presentation. It felt like dining in the chef’s home, but with restaurant-quality food! A wonderful spot in Coral Gables. We will definitely be back.

Babette Miami is one of those places you leave already wanting to come back. Alex and Dani have such a warm, cozy vibe, and the food is honestly so good. The venison was unreal and the chocolate dessert with kumquat was a perfect finish. After dinner we went to Romeo next door for drinks, and it was such a fun way to end the night!

Charming, romantic French restaurant in Coral Gables. The interior is Baroque and very unique. It felt like dining in a small restaurant in Paris. Food was delicious and the service staff were attentive. They had a good bread course to start with warm, freshly baked bread and whipped/shaved butter. The tartars were delicious, and the steak was a good size and well cooked. Whole meal was delicious. The owners are very nice and gave us a gift as we left. Great hospitality.

Yelp
It was my first time visiting this restaurant with my good friend who had chosen it for us. It's inviting from the outside and just as cozy on the inside. We tried many of the items from the menu. We started out with a Spanish bottle of wine which was so smooth. We had their homemade focaccia and butter which was made with absolute love. We then started out with the crab truffle flan (chawanmushi). This was my friends favorite. The broth was delicious and flavorful. My personal favorite appetizer was the Endives salad. I absolutely loved it and will think about it for days to come. So simple but amazing. For our entrees, we were highly recommended the lamb ragu. My friend chose this while I decided the strip sirloin. The lamb for the ragu is cooked for 8 hours and it was truly amazing. I'm more of a beef lover, so I throughly enjoyed my tender sirloin with its touch of crisp. Very texturally pleasing for me lol it is served with a bit of mash potatoes and a very flavorful sauce/reduction. For dessert we had a fondant type lava cake with a vanilla gelato on top. It was perfectly sweet and a great choice to end the meal with. The service from the very beginning was so lovely and warm and professional. The owners are making sure their guests are happy as well. They have created a very inviting and cozy place that I will look forward to revisiting. P.S. the music playlist is another aspect I loved. It leaves you wondering.. what's coming up next? A surprise for the ears. It's a unique touch that we really appreciated. I regret not getting more pictures.

Yelp
As a local, I was excited when I walked past La Jolla and noticed a restaurant had opened within! The beautiful interior design and romantic setting led me to immediately book a reservation for my birthday. Given that they are new, there are kinks to still work out but so much potential. Be prepared for small serving sizes for the entrees, and I mean very small but beautiful ambiance. The house focaccia and butter were yummy and a nice touch. The lobster was honestly a laughable portion, literally we all chuckled a little when it arrived. My husband ate it in two, maybe three bites. My own steak dish was also smaller than expected. The chef sent out a complimentary salad which was so full of flavor and also topped the tuna tartare with caviar for us on the house. I was very excited about the basque cheesecake remembering how amazing the cheesecakes I had in Basque Country were. Again, disappointed with the portion but wonderful flavor. I wanted so badly to love it but the portions are so small you tend to leave feeling a bit robbed. Lovely experience though. Nice for a date night or small group.

Yelp
There is a great new restaurant in Coral Gables on Alcazar Avenue in a beautiful old building with a nice cozy inside and a large terrace outside. The food is superb. We had the endive salad, the beet tartare and the cavatelli pasta with lamb ragout. All were creative and delicious. The apple tarte tatin for dessert wasn't too bad either. Bottles of wine were very reasonable. As of this writing we were told the restaurant has only been open for 9 weeks, but the inside was full and there were 4-5 table occupied outside. This will be a great Coral Gables tradition.

Yelp
Confused service. We sat for 15 minutes without water or menus. Then they brought half the table menus, only after we asked. Food fairly ok. Atmosphere boring. They charge $50 per person in advance as a hold on one credit card, then they deduct it from the total check. But that does not work for a group. The crab flan is a soup. The moules were large but flavorless. Oh well.
