Babettes is a diner/restaurant in the East Hamptons. We went to this place due to the option for vegetarian food. They do have quite a few vegetarian and vegan options. The two items we chose were the Tofu BBQ (an appetizer) and the Black Bean burger. Tofu BBQ was quite good, but a little too sweet and monotone in flavour. The disappointing part was the black bean burger which was flavorless. No sauce also made it quite dry; probably one of the worst black bean burgers I've had. Service was decent, but there was a bit of a feel to this place that was uncomfortable. Prices were some very high - I guess this might be normal for the Hamptons, but from the perspective of someone whos just dropping by, it didnt seem justified by the quality of the food. Appetizers were ~15$, and our black bean burger was ~20$. Many menu items were 30$+.

Food and service was ok, nothing extraordinary. Tried to charge us for beverages that we didn’t even order.

This place is very cute and featuring organic produce. Super cute atmosphere and outdoor seating. Went for brunch and had the breakfast sandwich with a watermelon mimosa. Overall great experience, tad pricey but good food.

Consistently Good food. As a vegan, this restaurant is heaven. Perfect place to dine outdoors. Great people watching. Pet friendly. God wine.

The staff was slow. I sat and waited for my food for 35 minutes, while the couple behind me got sat and fed within 10 minutes. When I went there and it wasn’t too busy. The water was warm and tasted like the water they use to clean dirty dishes with. Aside from that food presentation and Food that tastes slightly better than your average diner food. It had a somewhat nice atmosphere... if you don’t mind getting stung by bees in their outdoor seating.

We went with 4 other couples and were sat outside in the corner. We ordered our food that took almost half hour to arrive. I had a cup of hot green tea which helped take the chill off before the food arrived. The food presentation was great and tasted superb. I would recommend this place to all vegetarians, seafood and meat lovers alike.

"Clean Foods, Best Restaurant" When looking for a place in East Hamptons that can satisfy your pallet, look no further than this place. Whether you are Vegan, Vegetarian, Meat lover, or just a farm to table brunch this is a MUST visit place. The proprietor is warm/friendly and makes you feel welcome. A very relaxed, no rush lively atmosphere both indoors and outdoors. For cuisine, the Salmon Burger on a Gluten Free roll was the best I have had in years. The bread well, that's a whole other review, but let's just say, Delicious!

This place is not worth more than 3 stars, the menu is bland the way it's cooked is bland and the service is second rate. The worst thing is they are charging fine dining prices for glorified canteen food. I would pas if you have options. This was for brunch and the first open weekend of the year so maybe they get it better as they go. But for the cost and the wait and blandness it looses 3 stars, the produce was fresh and the owner is a nice lady. This gets them 2 stars. Maybe I will go again later in the season and it will have improved but I wouldn't wait in line for it.
