Great place and excellent food, very friendly staff with a great atmosphere 👌🏼

If you wanted to show someone a proper 'old-school' Greek restaurant I think this place wouldn't be too far off the mark. Its the kind of place that if you liked it and were local you'd probably keep coming, but in the grand scheme of things its nothing all that special - but maybe that's the appeal. Service was very friendly, and the fish was nicely cooked.

Babinondas is one of the best places to go for fish meze in London. Very great value for money and the service is always amazing here. Highly recommend for casual dining or even events.

Went here for the first time as a group for family Christening. Goodness me, i was incredibly impressed. I dont usually write reviews unless something is really worth writing about. We had Meze; food was great, music brilliant but the true shining star in this place was the staff. Absolutely outstanding service, they couldn’t do enough for us. Felt like i was in a village in Cyprus with the warm, hospitable locals. Definitely going again. 5 stars

An authentic Greek restaurant in the heart of Winchmore Hill...my first time visiting and for sure it won't be my last. The service was very nice, and the food came in a timely manner. I ordered a chicken souvlaki, which came with rice and chips (double carbs). I was pleasantly surprised with the portion sizes as in some restaurants you'd only get one skewer of chicken, I got two. My partner ordered Sheftalia (pork meatballs) which looked very nice. Everything we ordered was freshly made, it was all piping hot. We were missing one part of our order, we didn't say anything because the service was good. Would I recommend Babinodas, yes I would. I don't think you will be disappointed.

We pass by this restaurant frequently, but came here this evening on last minute impulse. We really liked the place. Cheerful atmosphere, good food and quick friendly service. We were even offered a complimentary short with the coffee. I haven't experienced that for years. Nice touch!

A favourite for fish lovers. A great selection of various fish from squid, octupus, salmon and variety of other small starter dishes .Also lovely kebab meat dishes. A real taste of Greek food!

Goodness gracious! We got here due to a recommendation from a Greek friend. As such indeed we expected good quality but actually such phrase is an understatement. We had a big dinner with a few people, so luckily we got to try different stuff from the menu. Everything was SUPERB! We had a mixed meze entry of hoummous, tarama, tzaktziki, olives, potato salad, pitta, some seafood and so on and every single thing was superbly exquisite. All the entries were high quality, well balanced flavor and great consistence in the mouth. The different mixed meats we tried in the mains were excellent too. Perfectly cooked fish, pork loin with halloumi, exquisite squid and calamari in batter just at the right point (not overtly oily in the pallate) lamb-chops that were super fresh and tender along with other kebab-style meats and fresh salad on a delicious balsamic dressing, all exquisite! Last but not least, we hit dessert. Limoncello ice cream which was delicious! and very well presented, right consistency and not feeling too heavy. Then fresh fruit served on a flaming bowl of sambuca, to dip the fruit on before eating. I had never ever tried such! In short, stunning food, good ambient which feels nice and cozy yet not overtly formal. Better yet, prices are very reasonable. I can hardly imagine getting a better deal for top-notch Greek food anywhere in London. The location is pretty much apart from commercial locations and a bus from Wood Green to the site is anywhere from 10-12 min aprox But no matter where your point of departure is, trust it will be well worth the visit!

Staff here very welcoming and friendly. Had the Meze and after previous experiences with one of these mammoth eating sessions, decided to pace myself through the first courses. They were all fab but then got to the meat course, which i had saved myself for only to be very dissapointed. It was very small and the meat was very dry. it consisted of a lamb chop, a piece of chicken breast and a small greek sausage. What an anti climax. Would i go again, probably, but wouldnt have the meze.

Went to this restaurant with my husband and was absolutely disgusted, The food tasted off and i saw the chef picking his nose when walking through the restaurant ( stomach churning ) and the service was dreadful with the waiters outside on their phones, when i went to the bathroom the waitress was crying and told me she hadn't been paid for working there and they had even taken her tips, A dreadful place that belongs in a third world country, i certainly don't recommend going there
