Babs' Underground

One of my favorite bars in Ann arbor. One time I came here with friends and they were playing Polar Express on the TV's so we stayed and watched the whole movie. The drinks are amazing and the bartenders are so cool and will make drinks that aren't on the menu for you if they aren't too busy. I wish I would have taken pictures of the drinks I got because they were so cute!! Personally I recommend getting there earlier in the night, but I prefer less crowded places so that definitely varies based on what your vibe is.

We rented Babs' Underground for my daughter's wedding shower. It was where their 1st date took place. Babs' was fabulous. The manager. Sarah, was so helpful. She even picked up rented tables and chairs and returned them for us. The place has such great unique vibe with the wood and leather seating and besutiful bar. We loved the service from those that tended bar and the fabulous drinks served. I can't say enough about how welcomed we felt. We would definitely recommend Babs' Underground for any event you're planning

Wow!!! On our way to Toledo, we stopped to do a little sight seeing in Anne Arbor, MI to check out the University of Michigan and came across this gem. I have to say Bab's is a pretty amazing speakeasy bar. The ambience was definitely gorgeous but the best part of the EXPERIENCE was the customer service. Megan was phenomenal and is a true mixologist. You can tell she loves her craft and takes a lot of pride in her creations. I would highly recommend visiting Bab's to have the same experience we had. Definitely try their Banana Coconut Espresso Martini, The Angry Bird, Raspberry Rain Martini and the Passion Fruit.

Babs is my favorite bar!! The vibes are immaculate, their specialty cocktails are all tasty and the bartenders are amazing!! (Shoutout Rob who is so nice and takes time to talk to us even when it’s crazy busy!)

Oh my gosh how did I not know about this place earlier! Then again…it is basically hidden. Awesome atmosphere. Excellent pool tables (but expensive to use). Music was perfect volume (at least earlier in the night). Highly recommend this place. Cocktails were super good. I’m only docking a star because we found that some of their cocktails on the menu were just traditional cocktails with an extra ingredient, but when we asked for the traditional cocktail minus the extra ingredient it was MORE expensive :/ but I will still go back.

Cool atmosphere and a "hidden" speakeasy element, as you have to go downstairs in what looks like an office building to get there. There is usually a long wait on the weekends to get in, so keep that in mind. All of the drinks I have tried are very good and the bartenders are friendly despite it usually being quite busy. Due to the busyness it can sometimes be hard to find a spot to sit at either a table or the bar, so be prepared to stand. There are pool tables and that creates a fun time for going here with friends.

Great service, excellent cocktails. You can't ask for more! We had never been here before and wanted try Bab's out, since we heard great things! While we were there after dinner at Weber's, so we didn't order food, and just attended for a nightcap.

The new DJ on Sundays -- DJ Redd -- is so awesome & always brings up the vibes. Excited to see them every Sunday!
