Babula Bar 1937

Our first day in Barcelona couldn’t have ended any better than at this restaurant/bar. Every single dish we tried was absolutely delicious. The tartar de atún bluefin and tataki de vaca vieja were out of this world! The cocktails were beautifully balanced as well. It was so amazing that we decided to come back on our very last evening in Barcelona to close our trip here too. I could keep writing praise after praise, but honestly you just have to experience it yourself! A huge thank you to the whole team, and especially Tomas, Coco, Rut, Laia, Emi, and Diego for making it unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back!

Group of 4 - had the best time. Service Food Atmosphere Wine phenomenal. Ray - ask him for wine and he will suggest exactly what makes a night … I went local and picked Marta de Baltà – a Syrah- it was perfect. Highly recommend. We each ordered 2-3 items and so we really sampled the menu each dish was so good. We sat outside which was perfect weather too! I looked & the inside is really beautiful even romantic atmosphere.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We made reservations on the same day for a group of 6 (it was a Thursday night). Every single plate we ordered was amazing. Cooked to perfection! The service was great too. Our table got a mix of standard cocktails along with their specialty cocktails and we really enjoyed both kinds! Really worth the visit if you’re staying in this area of Barcelona.

Wow what a great place! We enjoyed it so much!!! The food was creative and so so good. They really knew their way in the kitchen and also at the Bar. Our cocktails were amazing and the alcohol was from high quality. The portions are not big but suitable for sharing. Really recommend

Everything was perfect. Food was amazing, tons of choices. Cocktails were delicious. Vibe was great. On top of it all the service was beyond exceptional. We had a huge group and they were happy to accommodate us. Our waitress took care of us with a smile on her face, she was beyond sweet; bartenders were so nice and welcoming as well. Cannot recommend them enough!

Hands down, my best meal in Barcelona. The cocktails were truly incredible and unlike anything I’ve tried before. I had three tapas: The spheres were absolute perfection. The anti-ceviche was fresh and flavorful, though I did find one small bone, which took away from the experience just a bit. The cod wasn’t quite for me, a little too chewy. Despite that, the overall meal was fantastic, and the staff were warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend if you're looking for a unique dining experience.

We stayed in Barcelona for a few days and this is top 2 restaurants that we ate at. The flavors and construction of the dishes was amazing. The story of the restaurant is great and the service was incredible. Highly recommend it you are in Barcelona looking for a high quality dining experience. Will definitely be back.

I had the pleasure of dining here twice on a recent trip to Barcelona. It was a few blocks from my hotel. The food, hospitality, and wine were spectacular. I highly recommended visiting this restaurant if you are in Barcelona!! I have posted pictures from the two separate dinners. The first time I went with two friends the second time I went alone.

We had the most amazing time at Babula last night. As an American with a severe shellfish allergy it can be quite daunting to try new things when traveling because of the fear of cross contamination. No worries at Babula. The manager took my allergy very seriously and communicated it to the chef, which made me feel so relaxed knowing I didn't have to worry. We had a reservation and were seated outside on their terrace on a beautiful evening. From the time we were seated we had incredible service and food. Their cocktail list is impressive as well as their wine selection BUT oh the food was the star of the evening. Beef Tartare, burrata, cannelloni, charcuterie was all amazing. Watching the tartare being prepared table side was a treat. We finished the meal with mouthwatering cheesecake. The atmosphere was very intimate and romantic and it was the perfect ending to our time in Barcelona. The manager even hailed us a cab when we finished our meal. Service was impeccable we will be back on our next trip. Thanks to the restaurant for making an amazing memory for us.

Food was outstanding!!! Service was excellent and very helpful with navigating the menu gave great suggestions. Great decor and a fab bar. Drinks were delicious.

Not a bad place to have some tapas and some drinks. The inside is very chic shabby . We tried various tapas, and I have to say the eggplant was my favorite as well as the typical tapa plate of Patatas bravas . They do take reservations or walk-ins . The prices were reasonable. Some of the tapas could've been a little bit better but overall, it was a decent experience.

Babula rocked my world. My meal was one of the most memorable of this trip to Spain. The service was excellent, the outdoor patio was charming and my scallops were fantastic. I would definitely eat here again.

Service was very attentive and the ambiance is beautiful. One of the best ceviche I've ever had. The scallops were amazing as well. Everything was delicious and I'll definitely return the next time I visit Barcelona!

This place is a gem! We got here and went straight to the bar and had exceptional service all night long. We had several drinks here and each one was amazing! I had the porn star, aviation and espresso martini and my husband had the Paloma, Dr. pepper and the old but new. These drinks are carefully crafted to perfection and put together by talented bartenders. The staff was so friendly and the ambiance is stunning in this place! I'd definitely check it out!

Excellent tapas. Actually Russian owned. All were very good but the foie put it over the top.

LOVED this place! I can't believe it was so great. We got off the plane, checked into our hotel and were hungry. I just wanted something relatively close to our hotel since I was tired and hungry. A quick yelp search led me to Babula - yes, there's only 3 reviews, but yelp isn't really great for Europe. But it was open and a lot of places were not open on a Monday. We walked in and were told that we could sit at the bar since we didn't have a reservation. The bar was dimly lit and I wish there was more light around the area, but it was still cool. We also got to watch them make a bunch of pretty cool drinks so it was entertaining. Food was excellent - probably my favorite restaurant in Barcelona. The staff were all super kind and warm, and they were english friendly (we do speak some Spanish). We left pretty full and happy!

We found Babula on a YouTube search before leaving California. This authentic tapas restaurant is named the endearing name of the owner's grandmother. The tapas and cocktails are so great and the staff are friendly. We loved this cozy spot.

Sit at the bar and watch the very skilled bartenders. Tapas were excellent. Good people watching too.

Went a while ago and had a good experience overall. I found the food to be slightly overpriced but delicious. The bravas sauce was outstanding and a bit spicy, sweet and smoky, and the tartare and scallops were delicious. The only issue I had was the service -- they charged us for an extra scallop dish and then started to argue with us when we informed them of the mistake. It left a sour note on an otherwise good meal.

The food was good, the service was okay, the prices were high. Seemed high for what we got and other comparable places in the city. Prob won't be back to this one

This is a gem and must visit in Barcelona. The food is amazing (very creative and tasty) and drinks are even better. Service is above and beyond. We went twice and would have gone back even more if our stay was longer. Definitely order whatever the servers/bartenders recommend. We were also given complimentary truffle nachos with our drinks and a lemon digestif. The Korean-style taco is especially delicious. We sls tried the passion fruit mousse dessert and it was fabulous. Tip: sit at the bar to witness the amazing talent of the bartenders firsthand. And make a reservation because it gets busy!

Not enough words can describe how awesome this place is. The "egg" desert made with chocolate and passion fruit won us over. The house cocktails are extremely savory and amazing. We tried every drink on the house cocktails menu, specially loved the Sr. Mendoza, a old fashioned made with tequila! The food is the right proportion and finger looking good. Definitely one of the top places to eat at in Barcelona

Great, romantic atmosphere. Came in without a reservation. Host sat us by the bookshelf. Very pretty waitresses and handsome cooks (according to my wife). Food was excellent - drinks were good too. Some things are a tad overpriced - two pieces of pork chops for 25 Euros - wasn't worth it. Come for the atmosphere.

The best restaurant in Barcelona. The staff are the kindest and warmest individuals in the country. The food is spectacular, the ambience is out of the world, and the staff will literally go out of their way to make you feel like a million dollars. Kudos on the owner, the waiters, and the chef. recommended for a visit.

Shayla made us feel welcome right from the start! Food was good too but we would go back just for Shayla! Such a treasure!
