The vibes here are immaculate! Came on the tail end of a backpacking trip and felt so welcomed in Portland! Got to sing my favorite songs and the DJ was incredible and the crowd was electric! I prefer open karaoke but it’s very nice they have the option for both private and public

I didn’t order any food but was pleasantly surprised at how many gluten free things were on the menu! I would like to come back just to try some of it! They have room rentals at $45/hour. This was what we paid for the smallest room, so nice, with a discount ball! I think it can comfortably hold 6-8 people. Probably could squeeze more if you wanted! It was 4 of us in the room and it was a lot of fun. A lot of extra space to dance and roam. Barstool seats. There’s a QR code that you can and each person that scans it can add songs from their phone. Good variety of songs. Even new ones! Like from the wicked musical part 1 that just came out… adding songs was super easy. You could easily search the artist or the song itself. You could see the queue of the songs on the right hand side. There’s also karaoke in the main room and that looked super fun, chill vibes… loud bass. So bring earplugs if you’re sensitive. It was the kind of place where you can feel comfortable singing and it has a fun underground dance club feel. I would go back to the main karaoke and not necessarily have to rent a room. You go to the bar to sign up for the karaoke room rental. That’s what we did, at least. And pay at the end. We wanted to do just an hour and it actually gave us a 5 min countdown when our time was up, I appreciated that! I would go back!

I had a fantastic time at Baby Ketten Klub! The lively atmosphere, friendly staff, and great song selection made for an unforgettable night. Whether you're a seasoned singer or just looking to have fun, this karaoke bar is the perfect spot to let loose and enjoy good vibes. Highly recommended!

I went here over the weekend with some friends for a Bachelor Party. Baby Ketten did not disappoint! The vibes, the crowd, the service--all impeccable! Not only that, but the communication beforehand navigating reservations was superb, friendly, kind, and clear. I love karaoke so much, but lets be real there are some places that really aren't great and others that are great, but the bartenders are overworked, rude, or worse. It seemed like the bartenders here were really chill and pleased to be hosting such a dope spot. I think Baby Ketten is my new favorite karaoke bar!

Great karaoke spot with an awesome selection of songs! There were tons of options in English and Spanish, which made it perfect for our group. We had a blast singing all night. Highly recommend for a fun night out!

The food is all deep fried vegan food, not the most appetizing. You'll probably need more than what they offer for a total meal. So, maybe eat before you go, but definitely go, because this place rocks in every other way. Met up with about 15 friends, booked the adorable 70s room for two hours. It flew by, and we then moved to the main room for more yummy drinks and bar karaoke. Their technology is really cool, too, it's easy to search and add music in the rooms. For the main bar you can set your favorites on their site, but you have to write them on paper slips to hand in line a caveman, lol. Still they have most songs you might think of, super fun!

I go here as often as I can! The bartenders are sometimes so busy that they aren't able to be particularly present, but I want to give a lil shoutout to Mia for being so attentive to my group this evening - we had my friend's surprise party at BKK and Mia kindly let us in early so we could get set up to shout "SURPRISE"! and when I circled back later to get a drink she asked me how the surprise went - even though the bar was busy, she remembered! Thanks for taking good care of us Mia :) Thanks BKK, will be back again soon✨

Booked a two hour private room for my daughter's 16th birthday yesterday evening. She and her friend had the time of their lives! The bartender was super friendly and helpful. We brought her birthday cake but forgot plates, so he brought us plates, forks and napkins! Very clean place, too! And for those if you who drink, this man knows how to make a mixed drink! I ordered a Jack & coke, and it was pretty much straight whiskey, with just enough soda to color it. I'm not a big drinker (a fifth in my freezer will last 8 years), so I murder l nursed that drink the whole 2 hours. Love that it's got all ages hours. Such a great idea! Thank you, Baby Ketten Klub!

I am a picky person. It is damn near impossible to get a five star review from me, I will find something that isn't right and fixate on it. This place has no flaws. Appropriate pricing, great song selection, options of open mic and separate rooms at affordable prices with a near perfect ambiance and fantastic drinks. Driving into Portland, especially over the bridge is not something I'm a fan of as it's usually a disappointment, but I would go to this place regularly. Fantastic.

I won't be going back here. I paid $135 for 1.5hrs in a karaoke booth. Expensive, but I agreed to pay it, fair and square. After I closed my tab, the bar tender thought it necessary to talk shit to me about the other patrons who "all tipped less than 10 percent" and she said to me "you're gunna tip more than 20%, right?" I was clearly on a first date. 0% chance I was gunna look her in the eye and say in front of my date, "no I'm not gunna give you a $40 tip for 4 drinks that you served me at the bar." When she closed my tap, the bartender proceded to click the 20% button herself, not even giving me the opportunity to tip what I thought appropriate. I thought the place was lovely, no complaints about anything until the end when I was worked in a totally inappropriate way by the bar tender. I'll try my luck at every single competitive establishment prior to stepping foot back in this place. It's a shame that one bad actor can completely ruin someone's evening and lose an otherwise fine business a customer for life.

Decent vegan food though it can be hit or miss depending on your tastes. DO get anything potato based. This place does the best karaoke in town. The catalog is heavily curated with all the worn out hits removed. And the KJ cares about the singer hearing themselves and sounding good.

Low key thought this place was a strip club. It is not. Turns out it is a karaoke place that serves vegan food, which is great because I love karaoke and I love the idea of vegan food! There's public karaoke and private karaoke rooms that are themed. Everything here is also purposely misspelled (except the lyrics) which I find highly amusing. My dyslexic friend however does not but still enjoys this establishment. Probably cause they sing the same 5 karaoke songs all the time and don't need to read the lyrics.

Great private karaoke rooms and vegan food!! Only reason it's not 5 stars is because the smaller karaoke rooms are not air conditioned so they get really stuffy. Otherwise, great decor, good variety of songs, great service and cool ambience.

A great place for Karaoke! We had a great time singing and drinking. They have a full bar with a wide selection of drinks. Our Karaoke room had multiple tables and it was easy to pick out songs and put them in the que. There is a small parking spots right next to the building.

Came here for a birthday party and loved the privacy of the room! Initially a little harder to find since there's an entrance for the pizza place and the entrance here is actually downstairs. But they have a free parking lot so come early to grab a spot. As you walk down you check in with the staff to show your ID & vaccination cards. If you're 21 they provide wrist bands as well. We were in the back so we had plenty of space and then a photo booth in our room as well which was great to easily take photos for $4. In addition to the paradee room there seems to be a 70s & 80s theme room as well. The one I noticed closest to the bar had some windows so you could see through but the group was having a great time as well! Standard drinks on tap, in cans, and even some well drinks for you to order. They also bring them to your room as well if you're ordering a lot. Pizza shop above as well if you get hungry. As for how it works, in the room there's a website you enter on your phone, enter your room code, and then search up songs. They don't show a full list of what they have available but you can just search by artist and song and they have a great selection. They have super recent songs and artists as well (ahem we don't talk about bruno). The only thing with a larger group was that the room got pretty hot but you can walk in the main area to cool down a bit. Great to make a reservation for a private room and enjoy the night away!

Came here for a birthday party and was surprised how interesting the inside looked. I've driven past so many times and also have gone to that Bergerville quite a bit. The karaoke system is fairly easy to add music. The fries and tots were very good and crispy and well seasoned. This place is a vegan restaurant and when we had the corn dogs we could hardly tell. Defiantly enjoyed my visit. The decor and atmosphere is very cool and I want to try more of the food options.

I have never done karaoke before, and I'm so bummed I haven't. Not all karaoke is created equal, I wish they were all like Baby Ketten Klub. Booking online is easy, I LOVE that they have private themed rooms, and the staff were all super friendly. When you enter there's a bar and a dance floor where you can hang/dance if you're waiting for your room. We had the 70s room, which I loved. You can change the volume of the music, you can change the lights and they have a call button where a staff will come and take your food/drink order. You can search on their website for songs you want to sing, and if they don't have it you can email them and they will add it. When you're in the room you scan a QR code and then you search for songs and add them to the queue, it's really easy. You can see what songs will play next and who requested it. At the end of your time, there's a countdown, I believe it's the last 5 or 10 minutes that counts down. We ran into one issue, there was a song queued up but it wasn't playing. We asked one of the staff at the bar to help and he was able to fix the issue and added some time at the end of our session so we got our full session, which was excellent service. There were six of us and we booked the room for 2 hours, and I added another hour since there was no one booked after us. Two hours sounds like a lot but once you get going the time flies! The location is a little tricky to find, it's right on a corner, so keep your eyes peeled. I will definitely book a room here again next time I'm in the area. This was such a fun experience, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

I used to pass by here all the time, and finally it was my chance to go in with some friends for a social distance approved Karaoke night. You get to choose between a few of their themed rooms (we got the 80's room) and they have an extensive list of songs to choose from (bring your smartphone). This place is 100% vegan, but I didn't mind since the food was delicious. This was my first time going out with a group during the Panasonic, but I didn't feel stressed or anxious. The staff all wear masks and were attentive to our needs, but not hovering over us. This is a delightful little space and I'll be coming back there soon.

The top rating is "great" but this place is super epic. I have sung with Baby Ketten for many years and finally got on a plane to check this place out. I rented the 80's room with a crew and had the funnest time! All-vegan, all-fun party menu, awesome decor, great bar, the room was super easy to operate and sounds great! But heart of Baby Ketten is the songlist. You'll get to sing songs you've never seen anywhere else, and will never see anywhere else. All your karaoke singing into a hairbrush dreams will come true. Obscure pop, rock, metal and more from your childhood and everyone else's childhood, and new songs coming all the time. We sang Kate Bush, Magnetic Fields, Warpaint, Can and Radiohead- what will you find?

Came here before a concert with some friends, we reserved a karaoke room. It was very quiet when we came as we were the only customers there. We ordered drinks at the bar and got set up in our room. We were advised we could ring in our food & drink orders from the room. We tried a few times but it did not seem to work. We had to leave the room to grab the bartender. Over all it was an okay experience. I feel like the room rental fee was a bit high and the food was very average. But i will say we did have a good time.

Pros: Vegan food is great (they're whole menu is vegan) Bar tender nice and knows their stuff Drinks are good and strong Place is cute (they use smoke machine) Staff over all nice Cons: The cliental (all yt, we live in Portland not abnormal so not a big deal but the way the people here carry themselves made it clear there isn't much poc in there normally) A group of all yt older men were in a private room that has a window so you can see inside and they played songs all night with use of n words with HARD R and singing about "illegal aliens" and songs about freedom they definitely had a fun time as you could tell they were singing their little yt hearts out but I over heard them say this wasn't their first Time there so if this is the ppl that typically come in than I wanted to post this as a fair warning to POC Also the person calling people up to sing songs seems to be in a little denial about putting favoritism in when choosing who to call up especially towards the end of the night (just from past post I've seen) nothing wrong with that especially if it's the end but don't lie about not having songs we were told they didn't have a couple but we saw them on the booklet list after we asked to look at his options ‍and after paying for the download of a new song (Staff is not included in the uncomfortable part they were very nice)

Funky little venue that was oddly popping on a late Sunday night. We called around 8pm to reserve a room at 10pm. Once we got there, we were able to secure a private singing room. So many great song selections - if the song is popular, you can guarantee they have it. The setups were intuitive: water pitchers if you get thirsty, easy karaoke system to use (QR code sends instructions to your phone) and a button that calls a server to your room. We had the room for an hour, but were able to extend for 30 more minutes, which was so great. We left with some shirts to commemorate our visit; we'll definitely revisit this place.

Took my daughter and her friend to Baby Ketten and got them the 80's room. My daughter has been begging me to bring her for over a month and now I know why! I don't know who had more fun! Literally they will not stop talking about it. Everything was AMAZING! The food was sooooo yummy! John (the owner) takes social distancing very seriously and so does his staff. Everything was perfect. I'm already planning my next trip with all my kids next time. I honestly cannot say enough about this place JUST GO!

One of the best karaoke spots I have ever experienced. We booked a private room and had a blast, but also the main bar is top notch! Drinks were great, staff was awesome, and the fellow patrons were all friendly and fun.

What a cool hidden gem. Located under a pizza joint on Powell, this place is super rad! The ambiance is relaxing, chill, funny, and super spacious. The private karaoke rooms are super fun and I finally felt comfortable to just belt out the tunes. The staff was super nice and everything was clean. 10/10

The 80s room is smaller than it looks on the website but I still had such a great time here on my bday! Best song selection in the world . They got the b-sides! They got the rarities! B.Y.O.A (bring your own alien)

Made a reservation here over 3 months ago for the 80s room for my birthday party last night. Excited to check this place out for the first time. Called a few days early to confirm my reservation (4 hrs, 8pm-midnight). Didn't get a call back, but got a text confirmation with the wrong hours, 8-11pm. Called again and was able to get it corrected. Made the effort to get Lyfts here on time with friends in tow, arriving a little before 8pm. Walked in with my group and stood at the bar for awhile, as the bartenders went about their business, but did not approach us. The place did not appear super busy yet (fewer than ten folks in the bar, though I think both private rooms were occupied). After awhile a server came up to us and I said, "Hi, we have a reservation for the 80s room!" They said, "Well, there are some people in there right now. They will be out in awhile. And then we have to clean the room. You can order some drinks and sit in the bar while you wait." Ummm, what? How long is "awhile?" Are we talking ten minutes or 45? We sat around and waited for about ten minutes, and then one of my friends went into the 80s room to say, hey, we had a reservation for 8pm. The group in there basically told my friend "tough sh*t," but they came out soon after. After waiting for another ten minutes or so, a server showed us to the room. Overall not that long of a wait I guess, but it was a disappointing start to our experience. We were all dressed up and excited and on time and ready to celebrate, and expected to be greeted with... some level of positivity? A room ready for us at the time we reserved? The whole thing felt "meh." It was a surprise. Service was not-great to ok. Food & drinks were good, sound quality was great, song selection is fantastic. 80s room was crowded for 7 people. Bar got busy later in the evening. Not sure if I would come back. Our group spent hundreds of dollars between food, drinks, tips and the room cost, and I would like to feel a lot more positive about it.

DELIGHTFUL SPACE! The sound when you are singing is wonderful and you have the option to look at multiple screens. The song selection is the Baby Ketten you have come to know and love before it found its permanent home so you can sing songs you will find no where else!! There are two private rooms which look to be nearing completion and I am not sure how much or how to rent etc but am pretty exited to look at that option and also just for when I can get my next group of friends to hangout here. The spot that it is at is pretty perfect too since there are plenty of parking options if the lot should fill up. We went with a group on a Saturday and there was another birthday group too yet seating and parking was still a breeze. I have heard that weeknights the rotation is pretty fast though so get in there before everyone knows how amazing this spot is!!

Positives: excellent sound and song selection, friendly KJ's and bartenders, underground club vibe, fog machine makes singers feel epic. Cons: very weak drinks with limited alcohol selection, no table service which would be great instead of waiting in a line at the bar. Food menu needs dire upgrading. Expensive minuscule deep fry is not acceptable for an upscale club. Update: Yeah, more selection of alcohol and improved pour! Still waiting for food improvement, however happy to see improvements so far!

Their menu is so great! Karaoke there is always fun. Kj is really nice. Just don't expect to sing more than once because the wait list fills up really fast. Honestly, the food is enough to keep me coming back. Best bar food I've had.

A group of us reserved a room for karaoke last weekend and we had a blast! They have pretty great song selections, including some indie songs you can't find in other karaoke places around town. I didn't try a lot of their their food but ones I tried were good. Their menu is all vegan. Drinks are good and the bar tender was super nice. Definitely will come back!

I've been coming to sing BKK since the beginning, I'm a loyal fan and absolutely love the new space. But.. Last night I rented the private 80's themed room for the first time and wasn't completely satisfied due to a few things. 1- It was balls-out hot and stuffy in that room with 8 ppl singing and drinking for 2 hours. They did have a fan but honestly it did nothing to cool down that room. 2- Having a staff member to bus the empty drink glasses would be appreciated as they really started to pile up. 3- A few of the song choices had glitches either freezing, skipping or not displaying the lyrics. 4- When our time was up in the room everything stopped and we left the room. Then noticed the room sat empty. If we had been notified by staff just before our time was over that we could extend our time in the room we 1000% would have kept the party going. So that was kind of disappointing. Overall, we had a great time and will return again and again. I'm hoping my review can help management sort out these kinks to make the private rooms more comfortable and also maximize their profit margins! You are missing out on revenue by not up-selling extended room time! Get that money!

Haven't been to very many karaoke designated places, but this one sure rocks! Baby Ketten has one of the best song selections, their sound system makes it easy for the singer and audience to hear a great mix of music/vocals, and a terrific vegan bar food menu. Went on Friday and Saturday and both nights were fairly busy, happy to see their popularity, but get there early or late on those nights for more singing opportunities. Going to go back and eventually want to try one of their beautifully designed private rooms. On the negative side: the dance floor/performance area is right at the entrance which is very awkward, the entrance and some of the decor in the main room is very bare and forgettable (a shame when their private rooms are so rad).

I am SO HAPPY to see more karaoke options in Portland! I sang with Baby Ketten when they used to pop up at other bars and am always blown away by their song selection. What a joy that they have a brick and mortar now! The 70's room was a darn treat, with wood paneling abounding and a great sound system. We tried the cauliflower bites, which were delicious. They have a call button for service, which is so smart and worked well when we needed more drinks. There's also a great central area where it looks like a group can congregate to do some impromptu songs even after the rezzie is done. I will be back very very soon!

Best karaoke song selection and sound quality hands down. BKK has long been a Portland staple when it comes to karaoke at its finest, and now they have an awesome location, with a few private rooms and kickass basement locale. You'll want to get there early because rotation can be tight sometimes, but even if it is - prepare to be blow away by tons of passionate singers from all genres. You may find yourself jotting down a track or two that you had forgotten about or singling along to a classic. I always do! Additionally, there is phone app that you can use to plan ahead or save songs as favorites- so you aren't beset with indecision when you get there (or after a few drinks!). Searchable by song and artist - or RANDOM track picks, you'll be sure to find something. Continuing on, there is also a back room with pinball action and a few other games - Pac-Man and Big Buck hunter. Bathrooms are clean, and cellphone reception was excellent on Verizon and Att FWIW. Some others have mentioned that the food selection was sparse, that is true - eat before coming. But I imagine as that this is their nascent year, that is sure to be amended with time.

I wanted to check out the new club. It's smaller than I imagined. Doesn't appear to be a lot of seating. I love that from the side of the room you can view the singer WITHOUT a giant screen of lyrics behind them. There is good lighting on the singer, and the sound is superb. Eat before you come because there are no meals here, only appetizers. I also love that there is an outlet next to each booth. My friend is always looking for a place to charge his phone. I just hope they plan on putting a sign on the door. I ended up at the neighboring pizza place because the downstairs entrance looked so sketch.

I plan on going here weekly, forever. I like everything and I have also been to parties with Baby Ketten setups that have been incredible.

I dare you to find a better karaoke bar with a better song selection, better sound, better staff, better experience than Baby Ketten Karaoke. Custom-made constantly updated songs you won't find anywhere else. They just opened private rooms. And the food - all bar bites - is def way above the quality you'll find at a karaoke bar. I recommend the vegan buffalo chicken basket. If you love karaoke you owe it to yourself to go.

Best plant based bacon cheeseburgers around. Cool vibe, good service. I dont do Karaoke but the 1960's Las Vegas Ratpack appeal of the place is fun. Havent tried the rest of the plant based menu because I keep ordering the bacon cheeseburger with Impossible patty!!!

This place is so great! The selection of songs is great and more unconventional than a typical karaoke bar, so if you're an elder emo like me, they have a lot of classics that other places won't have. The private rooms are clean, cute, and well-equipped. Staff is super friendly and prompt. Definitely go here for a night with friends, and I definitely recommend reserving a room!

Baby Ketten is hands down the raddest karaoke in all of Portland! If you haven't been yet, you gotta check it out. The karaoke song selection, the clientele, the KJ's are all fine as hell and entertaining as heck - and very friendly. Check out BKK - you'll enter as a curious outsider and leave as family.

I've been going to BKK popups for the past 5 years. It's always been my favorite karaoke, and when I heard they were opening a brick and mortar I was SO STOKED because the popups were becoming less and less. Why is BKK my favorite? Music selection. The widest music selection of any karaoke I've ever attended. Want to sing 2+2=5 by Radiohead? You got it. Some weird obscure song from your favorite band? they probably have it. And they're always releasing new karaoke tracks, because the owner makes them himself! Speaking of the owner, John, he's a really cool dude. He's passionate about music and karaoke and it shows. He's a super fun KJ and knows what he's doing. Let's talk about the sound system. The sound is i n c r e d i b l e. You can hear yourself perfectly, the music sounds amazing, the mics are great and its just overall really good quality! Also, fog machine! If you're going on a weekend, just be aware that the rotation fills up very quickly and you might wait a while to sing. It gets super packed on weekends! Nonetheless it's a fun atmosphere and fun to watch everyone sing. On a weekday, the rotation is shorter. Going on a weekday is great, too. The space itself is cool. It's "under ground", dimly lit and they even have an arcade room in the back with a photobooth. There's also video poker. All of the staff are really nice people. The bartenders are great and attentive. If you plan on visiting, please tip them well and be kind to them. They're working hard to create a nice experience for you. Tip your KJ as well! They are providing a service just as much as the bartenders are! Love ya, BKK.

Terrible experience here. The DJ did not play our groups requested song after asking a few times. He continuously skipped our song and played the requests of people who had already performed and lied that our song was up next. DO NOT recommend for those visiting town, not a good experience here

It was a pleasure working with John at Baby Ketten Karaoke for our October wedding at Union Pine. We chose to do karaoke over a traditional DJ/dancing - & singing & dancing our hearts out with friends & family was such a fun way to spend our reception! I was in contact with John on & off for over a year as I planned my wedding & he remained friendly & responsive throughout. He was very familiar with our venue & everything went off without a hitch. I am grateful for all the wonderful memories from our wedding!

John (owner...not sure if he co-owns) is a fricken genius but also a sweet baby angel. The level of devotion and skill that goes into his CRAFT of MASTER KJ-ing, and also into running the new brick-and-mortar and constantly desiring to improve it, is so legit. It's always a good time.

Best karaoke ever! Best sound, best KJ, best song selection! Not your average karaoke, you won't be able to find the most popular songs. It is for people that appreciate more obscure, rare and unique song selections and state of the art sound.

Best karaoke in town hands down! This is the place to go if you want to sing some really rare tracks that no one else has! Song selection is so good that even on busy nights when you have to wait to sing, you will enjoy hearing what other rare songs other people decide to sing. The sound is 2nd to none and the KJ's are awesome people. Also added bonuses - really cool bartenders and a fun game room in the back.

We hired Ivan and Baby Ketten to DJ and provide karaoke for our wedding and he did a fantastic job! He was highly professional, the sound quality was fantastic, and so many of our guests loved how unique the whole experience was. I can't recommend BKK enough :-)

Pro tip: have karaoke at your wedding and make sure John is your KJ. Everything went so perfectly and all our guests had such a killer time. He was so helpful and we didn't have to worry about a thing. And of course, the best selection of karaoke songs I have ever come across.

It's fine. Bartenders are great and the space is cool. The KJ situation was weird because he did not bring in new people but let everyone who had sung already sing repeatedly. We put songs in at 10:30 and left at 12:15 after no one in our group got a chance to sing, and realized that we were still 10 singers away. During that time, we saw multiple people sing 2-3 times. I heard another group leave at the same time voice the same complaint. I would suggest filtering in new singers to retain patrons into the late night. It was becoming empty when we left at 12:15. I would love to come back, but would love a more equitable KJ.

The mastermind behind Baby Ketten Karaoke creates all the songs. As soon as a song drops - he's got it. Full albums of obscure bands, he's got that too. The song list is extensive.
