I honestly hate to leave a one star, but tbh I think that’s all it deserves. I placed an order for a cake as our workplace wanted to support a fellow East Nashville establishment. Unfortunately, lesson learned, but a little too late. The order was placed Monday the 16 for pick up on Thurs the 19. I received a text message on Wednesday saying that my order was ready for pick up. I didn’t think much of it until I actually received the cake and saw how botched it was. It was a 6” round cake. It wasn’t centered on its cake tray which is okay, but idk maybe care a little more for a 65$ cake. The top layer of it had a huge lump on it - as if it was not trimmed down before icing. What they also didn’t do before icing was let it cool… how do I know this you ask? Because the buttercream icing was sliding all over the place and had dried all lopsided and falling off. It was a simple funfetti cake. When we ate it, the colored icing had a mint flavor and multiple people were noticing a different off taste, but no one could put their finger on what it was. So after the fact, one of my coworkers came onto their reviews here and noticed a lot of their food is moldy. But not only that, if it’s a day old, they offer a discount half off (so if my cake was ready on the 18th but I requested it on the 19th, why was I not discounted for day old food?). Look, idk if it was mold on our cake but the taste was reminiscent of mold. And we all ate it. Anyways, this turned out to be a major flop. The decor was awful - my nephew who’s 4 would have decorated it equally the same, if not better. Needless to say, our business will not be repeat customers for anything at this establishment.
