I called them for my daughters 30th birthday bash in Nash and sent them a picture and they were able to replicate it so cute! They delivered on time the day after thanksgiving. Thanks to them for helping make my girl's day extra special. Everyone said it was really good. i do think it was a little expensive for colored icing and the pearls.

We are staying next-door at a rental for the weekend and we came here before we checked in and thought we would get some cupcakes we both ended up getting two of the cups and I wish I would’ve looked at these reviews sooner because just like the other reviews said, MOLD! They were buy one get one free so I asked how old they were and she said oh we just made these know there was mold in them it was disgusting and she wants to act surprised. Unbelievable!!!! Edit: I can’t believe they replied with some BS excuse cupcakes don’t grow mold after one day, I’ll officially be contacting the health department and you guys can lie all you want there are multiple, multiple reviews with pictures of moldy things so you do in fact not care and sell moldy food items to customers! Let’s make that clear. There will never be an excuse for this.

I honestly hate to leave a one star, but tbh I think that’s all it deserves. I placed an order for a cake as our workplace wanted to support a fellow East Nashville establishment. Unfortunately, lesson learned, but a little too late. The order was placed Monday the 16 for pick up on Thurs the 19. I received a text message on Wednesday saying that my order was ready for pick up. I didn’t think much of it until I actually received the cake and saw how botched it was. It was a 6” round cake. It wasn’t centered on its cake tray which is okay, but idk maybe care a little more for a 65$ cake. The top layer of it had a huge lump on it - as if it was not trimmed down before icing. What they also didn’t do before icing was let it cool… how do I know this you ask? Because the buttercream icing was sliding all over the place and had dried all lopsided and falling off. It was a simple funfetti cake. When we ate it, the colored icing had a mint flavor and multiple people were noticing a different off taste, but no one could put their finger on what it was. So after the fact, one of my coworkers came onto their reviews here and noticed a lot of their food is moldy. But not only that, if it’s a day old, they offer a discount half off (so if my cake was ready on the 18th but I requested it on the 19th, why was I not discounted for day old food?). Look, idk if it was mold on our cake but the taste was reminiscent of mold. And we all ate it. Anyways, this turned out to be a major flop. The decor was awful - my nephew who’s 4 would have decorated it equally the same, if not better. Needless to say, our business will not be repeat customers for anything at this establishment. Had a birthday party here for an 11 yo and her friends. Super unique, clean, fun, and overall happy experience in a cool place. 100% better than the typical birthday party experiences

EDIT: After the experience below I emailed the manager who explained that they work with many third parties, including door dash and 1800flowers. They also wanted to make things right. I received a replacement fruit arrangement this afternoon and everything looks great. The fruit is fresh and the kale was not wilting/mushy. Thank you for making the situation better. I received a delivered fruit basket for the birth of our daughter and everything smelled like cigarettes, the driver must have been smoking in the car. Not only that but there was ROTTING FRUIT AND KALE in the arrangement. When I called to let them know that the fruit was rotten they told me I was wrong and there's "nothing they can do" to make it right. I would not recommend this place, take your business elsewhere.

We went yesterday in between errands because I saw the magic words “BAKERY” from across the street. We walk in and see the owner who greets us pleasantly. I instantly gravitated towards the carrot cake. By the time we left we ended up with: - 2 dirt cake cups (Oreo and Nutter Butter) - carrot cake slice - pound cake slice - coffee Everything was INCREDIBLE. We didn’t even get a chance to take any photos of the food. 10s across the board. 😭🙌🏾 I was especially surprised about the coffee because I usually don’t expect much when I order it from new places (especially ones that aren’t coffee shops) - she nailed it with the flavor. This was a quick visit but will DEFINITELY be a new stop whenever we are in Nashville again.

Old stale cookies were given to me. They are brick hard and taste terrible. The banana pudding had spolied and smelled terrible. The bananas were black. See photos. They were all purchased today . Why would you sell old expired food? I don't want an apology I want my $20 back. I will be coming by in the morning for my refund.

Wow! An unexpected, welcoming experience visiting Baby Cakes. Finding a delicious bakery reminding me of home back in Miami, I walk in to just that in Nashville! I highly recommend “The Messy Caramel Cake”!!! The scent of fresh bakery takes over your nose!! What a Gem!
