15 Must-Drink Mojitos in South Florida

"It might be served in a plastic cup, but there’s something about that pre-flight mojito that really hits the spot. For those finding themselves at Miami International Airport in Concourse D, having to make the trek to gate D-53 and beyond (which is over a half a mile thanks to the inactive train service), make a stop at the Bacardi Mojito Bar where bartenders are shaking up this well deserved refreshing minty, rum-fueled beverage by the dozens." - Amber Love Bond

Wish I would have checked Google maps before coming because over 20 dollars for a mediocre mojito is criminal. I understand airport prices, but at most airports I can get a cocktail for under 20 bucks. I got the Mango Mojito I got barely had Mango flavor. They also have automatic gratuity, which I don't mind, but when the drinks are 20.99 ... absolutely not. If you come I'd recommend asking for prices first and save yourself the trouble. Best part is the view of the airplanes taking off.

Google
$53 for two cups of weak Mojito full of ice! The server was so nice when I complained about how sweet the drink was but no real resolution besides more soda water or an extra $15 for a shot. The food prices seem pretty reasonable but the drink prices for what you get is ridiculous even for an airport! The 18% automatic gratuity is a bit much as well especially based on what we ordered. I will never return and would not recommend for drinks.

I live in SoFlo and travel a lot through Miami. The food here is always good. Service is always good. Mojitos are always good. However, $26 for a mojito is insane. The prices have gone up. Forced gratuity is ridiculous. Yes.. $26 for a 12 oz mojito. I’ll never buy a mojito from here again. My caprese salad and guava empanadas were the same price. Insane!

Came here because I needed a snack while at the airport. I came over to the takeout station where the gentleman there was very polite. I wanted empanadas, but there weren’t many options so I took the last two empanadas which were both chicken. I asked for a dipping sauce and unfortunately aren’t any special sauces. I was given two Cholulas. Once I sat down and opened them, they were of a decent size. Taste-wise, the flavors were fairly decent, nothing that jumped out at me. They were filling, however. I would say that if you’re looking for a late-night snack to hold you over (with no flavor expectations), I would grab these.

I’m going to go on a limb and say that they must have made some improvements here! I had a mojito and it was very authentic and strong! I ordered a Caesar salad and wow, the chicken was some of the freshest I have ever had! This is one of two knock out airport food experiences I have had! Also finished with a margarita! I was checked on by staff and when guy left a very kind woman came and got my drink order! Good, relaxing music too! I throughly enjoyed my passing of time here!

On July 22nd. I had a connecting flight from Miami to JAX. I walked past this restaurant to see what they had to offer. I sat down as I collected my thoughts on what to order. The waitress asked me am "I ordering something." I said I'll take some water. Her response, " If you're not ordering, then you can't sit here." I quickly responded, " I'm ordering water, that's something." The verbal exchange went on for 2minutes. My question is, "Why are you arguing with a customer who can help generate a sale?" Very rude, and I highly advise anyone not to frequent this place. The fact that she wanted to argue with me says enough about this establishment.

Google
The beef empanada tasted like a flavorless sloppy Joe and the Cuban was lunch meat. Other than that, super expensive drinks ( no wonder they don't list the price). The service was good, staff are delightful. I know it's airport food but come on.

Google
One waiter also serving and he did his very best without complaints. It could be better staffed. The beef empanadas are the best I’ve had. The tab automatically has an 18% gratuity added FYI

Yelp
Flying out of D50 today and decided to grab a quick and small bite before the flight. Bacardi Mojito Bar was perfect and the case of freshly baked empanadas drew me right in! I went to the counter and decided to sit down and enjoy. In this case, they take your order at the counter and then lead you to the small dining room. At this point the wait staff takes over. Service was friendly and fast. Empanada was crispy and packed full of chicken, while the taqueno was a decent couple of bites. If you are after a mojito, this is your spot...per the name. You can enjoy at the bar or the dining room. Overall good spot to hit if you are deep enough in D Terminal and have some time before boarding.

Yelp
Some of the staff is terrible. After making a purchase at their to go booth I sat at a table to enjoy the snack I just purchased. The waiter told me I had to order or leave. I showed my receipt and again was ask to order or leave. This was a sat morning with only 5 of 20 tables occupied. I let the POS know I was reviewing the menu and considering placing an order. After several other harassing visits the manager asked me to leave. I take this flight often and used to frequent this establishment often... I would certainly choose one of the dozens of better options next time!

Yelp
Stopped here because we are big fans and supporters of Bacardi. I must say I was extremely disappointed in this location. Service was lacking and the food was D minus at best. Do not waste your time and stop here the drinks or water down and I was not impressed. We also found out that our beverages ran almost $18 apiece. There are no prices on the menu. This place is a complete rip off. Save your money and go to McDonald's. This place is garbage at best.

Yelp
Ordered food from here as we waited for our flight. Drinks were strong, food was decent and prices were actually great. Cuban sandwich with side salad for $12 at an airport is incredible! The size salad was a great size and actually fresh and tasty. Cuban needed more condiments which they had plenty of. Wasn't the best I ever had, but it was very good and again $12 for a meal at an airport is something you can't beat!

Yelp
It's about to feeling the vacay from the airport to your destination! Food is good and nasty forget the diet!! Drinks great feeling tipsy with 1 mojito service was amazing Daniel our server rocks!!! Ambience cool airport chill vibes!!

Yelp
Had a few hours to kill so went to get a drink and burger. The burger was pricey and about as plain as it can come. The salad looked like someone stepped on it like they were stomping out a lit cigarette before they served it. It was old and mushed up. The robbery here is they don't put the price of the original mojito on the menu. When I received it i was surprised how much ice there was in it and it's a small drink. The type of cup you get when you ask for a free water. How much was it? EIGHTEEN DOLLARS!!$18!! For a few sips of mojito. These people are criminals. DONT GO HERE!

Yelp
Standard airport restaurant with tables and bar seating. Service was non existent and I had to ask twice before finding out I could sit anywhere. Table wasn't cleaned from last patron. Nobody came for almost 10 minutes so I had to get up and get my own menu from the hostess station. Finally ordered from a harried member of the staff who didn't even appear to be a waiter. Order arrived and drink was wrong, food was cold and presentation was lackluster. I didn't expect Michelin star cuisine at an airport terminal but this was bad even for an airport. Fortunately for the taste was good so that almost made up for everything else. Finally got check after third request and they charge $17.99 for a watered down 10 ounce excuse for a mojito. Price isn't on their menu for obvious reasons. They also charge an 18% gratuity automatically. Even for a party of one. Do not recommend. Find a vending machine and save your money!

Yelp
Service was slow but luckily we had time. He was very nice though. Prices were as expected crazy expensive. We had 4 empanadas, 1 pastelito, 1 mojito and 1 margarita and the bill was an outrageous 74 bucks. Drinks were strong luckily. Only needed 1. Located across gate D53. Plenty of seating. 2 bars and plenty of tables. Gratuity added 18%. Empanadas we're not fresh but good enough to get me over my flight from Miami to Tampa.

Yelp
I did not get a mojoto since I had one before I left Jacksonville. However, for a pleasurable experience before leaving Miami's American airlines gate 60 please stop by Bacardi Mojitothe Original to order a drink, delicious pastries or a cup of Joe. The cashier was upbeat but please be prepared to wait. But there is such a thing as a mobile order. No waiting in line. Bye Miami until the next time.

Yelp
The food was ok, the service was ok. But they give themselve 18% tip by default! At least that what my waiter told me. "The system puts that by default" he said. It was not a party of 4, just me. I bet it works well for travelers who don't really pay attention to their checks. Not very honest in my opinion.

Yelp
Great Cuban sandwiches & friendly staff. The mojitos were mug bueno Gambian. Ojala que lo vea tambien.

Yelp
A great option in the terminal, the service is super fast and food prices are fairly reasonable for the airport. I had the breakfast bagel sandwich and I can't complain it was hot and fresh. I also had the passion fruit mojito and it was delicious and strong. The mojitos are around $15 so pretty pricey but definitely a great way to start your trip.

Yelp
Breakfast at mojito bar lol Place was packed with holiday travelers Food was actually ok for breakfast I had the bacon egg and cheese bagel Service was slow because they got a party of 11 smh
google avatar

Yelp
Service slow, understandable considering I only saw one waiter. Drink was too heavy on the alcohol, most folks would probably like that but not me. I tried to order a Sierra Mist which was on the menu but they didn't have it. So a bottle of water & some ice to dilute the drink. I think $28.39 was excessive for a small plastic cup of alcohol. Ewww. I don't recommend this place

Yelp
A convenient spot for a cocktail. Service varies. Some days excellent, other days the bartender makes it obvious they would rather not be working.

Yelp
Located at the end of terminal D, was able to easily get a table at lunch time. Place served the purpose. 2 people, 2 Pepsi (in plastic bottles), 1 rum mojido, shrimp ceviche and a sandwich is $60 with included gratuity. Price is not relevant in an airport, it's always expensive. I'd say the food is better than decent and fresher than anticipated. Mojo to was good. Service on this day was fine.

Yelp
I just paid $38 for 2 mediocre mojitos to a dude with a bad attitude. yeah! I'll be coming back again for a refill.

Yelp
Burger was nasty and it's giving very much cafeteria meat it was nasty. But the long island was good and the wings.

Yelp
Airport food can be really dodgy at times but the Bacardi Mojito Bar is my new favorite. Offering delicious monitors in several flavors as well as quality eats, this place does it quite well. Though this wasn't by my gate, it was definitely worth the walk. I had a fantastic coconut mojito as well as their Checca sandwich. I will definitely return back whenever I'm flying out from MIA.
google avatar

Yelp
Olivia stole from me. She decided to give herself additional tip, when I did not. I left her the 18% that is already included, since I took up a barstool for all of 10 minutes and ordered only 1 drink. They won't answer the phone. And it's fraud. Don't go here!
google avatar

Monica M.

Yelp
Yes, a bit pricy for drinks but then again we're at the airport so what do you expect. The mojito were very good though. I thoroughly enjoyed my melon mojito. Perfectly refreshing. We sat over in the dining area and the service was instant and friendly. Definitely a good place to grab a drink before your flight. Also they have an amazing snack salad with candied walnuts and fresh strawberries and apples. Definitely a good snack.
google avatar

Leslie S.

Yelp
Pros: Great for a quick drink before your flight, but I would recommend getting the bill as you order, so it can be paid for ASAP. I saw a guy miss his flight that day, and he was infront of his gate, because he thought they would hold the door while he tried to finish his drink... they didn't hold the door.... it was interesting to get a show for free that ensued. So yes, drink responsibly and pay your tab ASAP.

Yelp
For the love of god get the Roasted Portobello Salad! It was incredibly delicious. So much so we ordered a second one. Service was also attentive and nice.

Had a cuban sandwwich with that smeLl old Cuban sandwiches very good and goos size! Delish drinks and surprisingly good bar tenders !! The were all very courteous. Love this place!

Yelp
This is the best damn mojito I have EVER had. I ordered the mango mojito and the jerk chicken sandwich. The sandwich was alright but Dailenys really knows how to make these drinks and her customer service was great. I look forward to coming back here!!

Yelp
I travel often.. and Wow! New favorite spot at the airport.. Great drinks and even BETTER service !! Bartender Mark was very nice and welcoming. His recommendations were on point. I highly recommend the ham and Mac and cheese empanadas + the Mule. I'll be back next month (:
google avatar

Yelp
Had a tasty mango-peach cooler, very refreshing drink that was perfectly mixed. Turkey sliders were delicious and the parties were seasoned just right, spicy and perfect with fresh mozzarella melted on top. Go for it! Prices, are expected to be expensive being at the airport but it's a good bang for your buck!

Yelp
Great Mojitos! Probably one of the best I've had! Great atmosphere and quick service. Good great! Will search out other locations.

Yelp
Worst service I've ever received. Victor ignored me for about 10 minutes without a hello. I'm a bartender, I totally get when it's busy and you have a cocktail section and bar top. Just say hi, hand me a menu, and tell me you'll be right with me. The two bartenders did not communicate with each other to have seamless service. Never asked me how my food was, never offered me a water, nothing. Actually took my food out of the window and set it by the computer while he made my drink, because the food was ready before the drink. Why let a hungry person stare at their food and wait because you are weeded and need to make my drink? A huge waste of $35. I would have had 2 more drinks if I felt like the service was there.

Yelp
I purchased some shoes this morning at Havana Nines and was given a promotional ticket allowing me a free "Mojito Clasico" if I purchased one at "Mojitobar" (right next to Havana Nines) I purchased a Clasical Mojito, for $15.80and subsequently ordered a new one, which should have been free according to the Hava Nines Promo, but where in fact I was charged even more, $24.40 Outrageous, frankly

Yelp
Stopped in while waiting for my flight, had a Sam Adams and a chicken sandwich, sandwich was good and the Sam Adams was cold, I end up at this airport from time to time, I will be back for another chicken sandwich again.

Yelp
5 stars to the Bartender, Mark. Best customer service. A breath of fresh air in Miami. Leaves tourists and locals happy! Food is above avg. ask Mark for recommendation. He made my day. If traveling to Pensacola or Tallahassee. Near gate 60. This bar is for you. Nice to experience a professional bartender.

Yelp
Kudos for awesome mojitos. This place is real find and a real pick me up while waiting for my flight at the airport.. Food is also excellent. Mark the Bartender is a real professional. Make sure to stop here for a drink and a sandwhich!

Yelp
I was stuck at Miami Airport yesterday with 4 hours to spare and found myself at the Bacardi Mojito Bar. I ordered a mozzarella tomato caprese salad as a base for the mojito I was going to order. I thought it was going to be standard airport bar fare (aka substandard), but was SO pleasantly surprised to find a large, fresh salad with a very healthy portion of tomato and mozzarella with a wonderful balsamic glaze. It tasted just as good as it looked /'s actually took me quite a bit of time to get through. I nibbled on the salad as I drank the most delicious dragon berry mojito. The combination of food and drink along with the hip yet casual atmosphere made for a most delightful airport layover. I will definitely be heading back there to spend any free time I may have the next time I'm in Miami International Airport.

Yelp
Slow, rude and expensive. I visited on Monday november 14 at five pm and bartender was too busy chatting with friends to look my way. When he finally finished, looked at me, never asked what I wanted and went down bar to someone who came well after I did. Came back a second time later, and same treatment. Unbelieveable that they put a "gratuity" on their receipt. Go to gate 48 or 49. Much friendlier and faster at that bar, Island grill.
