I had the best experience at Bacari thanks to Ariana! She’s an insanely talented bartender whose cocktails are genuinely next level. Every drink she makes is crafted to perfection, creative, balanced, and unforgettable. Her knowledge of mixology is impressive, and you can tell she puts real passion into her craft. Ariana has an incredible ability to elevate classic cocktails while also creating unique, standout drinks of her own. Beyond her talent, she’s warm, attentive, and makes the whole bar experience feel special. Bacari is lucky to have her behind the bar. If you want an amazing drink and an even better vibe, sit at Ariana’s bar. She’s a star.

I’ve been coming to Bacari for years- it’s truly a neighborhood staple, and for good reason. Whether dining at a table or sitting at the bar, the experience is consistently exceptional. The restaurant was especially festive last night, beautifully decorated for the holidays and full of great energy. From the cocktails to the food to the service, everything was absolutely on point. John and Ariana at the bar were a highlight- both are incredibly talented mixologists and engaging conversationalists, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Bacari is a place I always return to and one I highly recommend adding to your regular rotation of must-visit restaurants.

I went there with my 2 sisters and their husbands for dinner. The dining area was very inviting. We got a table by the window which was nice but as the crowd grew the noise level got really bad. The service was good and the waiter knew his stuff. The portions are large but the shrimps were cold and my med rare lamb was well done. We sent the shrimp back to reheat. The funny thing was that as soon as my wife lifted her plate the waiter said , oh not hot enough. Did overall was just okay. Desert menu was small but okay. Not a I’m running back restaurant

I came to this area to visit a friend and I was very delighted and surprised to come upon such a wonderful place! The bartenders were superb with excellent service and they made incredible drinks! We opted for sushi and oysters and were not disappointed! I also love the atmosphere. It was a mix of ages and classy people! Everybody was having a good time and it was the right amount of people. I'll be back!

We love it here. Ariana and John are great bartenders, they are so attentive and the food is always good here. We always meet nice people here to talk to. Always a fun night at Bacari Griile!!

I hosted my bridal shower at Bacari Grill in Washington Township, and it could not have been more perfect. The space is absolutely beautiful—elegant yet warm, with an inviting atmosphere that set the tone for such a special day. The service was outstanding from start to finish; the staff was attentive, gracious, and ensured every detail ran seamlessly. And the food—absolutely incredible. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and artfully presented, earning rave reviews from all my guests. Bacari Grill provided the ideal combination of ambiance, service, and cuisine, making my bridal shower truly unforgettable.

The food was very tasty and the service was fast. The only problem we had was that the waiters didn't refill water glasses, and had to be asked.

Start off with the pros - the restaurant itself is beautiful and the ambiance is upscale and classy. Service was pretty good - our water was always refilled and they routinely came to clean up our plates. Calamari? Out of this world - so fresh and big pieces of squid! The entrees were just OK. I got the short ribs which came with mashed potatoes and spinach. I liked the potatoes and spinach more than the short rib. I was expecting the short rib to be really tender and just come apart but I actually had to take a fork and knife to pull the meat off. My husband got the rack of lamb which was only 3 pieces of lamb for $43 dollars and he said it was just OK. Nothing special. We also ordered the brownie sundae for dessert which was actually really good! Just too much whipped cream in my opinion. But it had a warm brownie, melted marshmallow and mint chip ice cream which was refreshing. Might be nice to come here for wine and small dishes but not sure if I would come back based on the entrees alone.

We started our evening where we were greeted by rude and cold hostesses. The food quality has gone down in the last year. My tuna dinner was over sauced and not edible. My wife's had the fish special and it was average at best.

Bacari never disappoints. I went with my friend - sat at the bar. We both had a martini - dirty and very cold. They use nice size glasses so you always feel like you're getting two drinks for one there (be careful because 2 feels like 4). We shared a few things- pear salad, bacari sushi roll, bacari pizza, and the lobster crab and avocado salad. Service was great.

Food was adequate, portion was very small. $46 for 3 shrimp ? Service was fine. An annoying fly put a damper on an anniversary dinner.

Very nice place. Good service. The appetizers were pretty good. But the entrées were not . I had scallops that tasted like ammonia. Apparently they were spoiled luckily I didn't get sick. My friend had the chilean seabass (salty and fishy). I would not come back here. I don't comprehend all these great reviews. We were disappointed. Check was over $600. Completely not worth it.

No photos since this was a work dinner but an amazing meal! The calamari as an appetizer was delicious; with a twist; "Rhode Island style" which I had never heard of. Glad I took the dive and got them this way. Filet mignon was my choice and it did not disappoint. Nicely cooked. Service was fantastic with a casual ambiance. Great for a group or a nice date night.

We had a reservation for 5 for Sat at 5:30. Promptly seated (wasnt too busy yet) and got served immediately. delicious bread basket came out, waters, and waiter took our smokey sunset cocktail order which wasnt that great or strong but everything else was terrific. we ordered a crab cake and calamari for apps and for entries had a bacari salad, penne alla vodka, both sushi special rolls, short rib and prime strip. Everything was so good and fresh. No room for dessert unfortunately. One of the most amazing services as the waiters keep filling our water without being asked. Extremely well run. You sir have a fine establishment!

Went there for an event. Excellent food. Service was top notch. Very attentive. Everything was great!

Not very impressed. Took seven of us on Saturday as a Mother's Day dinner and walked away very disappointed. My $53 steak came with a lot of grizzle and closer to well done rather than the medium rare I ordered. My wife's Lobster Carbonara lacked sauce and was dry. My step daughter and mother's Penne and Vodka was also dry and lacked sauce. For the kind of money they charge, I will not be returning considering the lousy meal they served.

It's been so long that I've gone to such an exquisite, High-end restaurant. Everything was amazing. The grilled octopus was fresh and flavorful. The scallops were perfectly seared and enjoyed every last bite! The bread was made there and so good. Had a latte and the white chocolate semifrado was devine. The service was spot-on. Fantastic. Had a dreamy evening. Would love to go back. It's a beautiful, and clean restaurant.

Finally! After 9 years of my wife and I driving past this restaurant, we finally tried it. It was definitely worth the wait! Excellent! I made reservations for my wife's Birthday. I asked for a window seat, which we were accommodated with. All of the service staff were very friendly and hospitable. John our server was great, he was very patient, friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very clean and the ambiance is very nice and inviting. The food was excellent, no complaints at all. The bread basket was so good with the butter and jelly, they give a nice amount. We had 2 glasses of wine, which were a generous amount. My wife had grilled shrimp and I had a special, red snapper. Very very delicious and nice size portions. Desert was a brownie sundae for her birthday and 2 cappuccinos. So good. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. She was so happy that we finally tried it and it was worth it! We will definitely come back and try again.

Really a great place with excellent service and great menu options. If there's a tartare on the menu, I'm definitely getting it. It happened to be part of their appetizer specials, and I of course ordered it. For my entree I had their sushi and had no complaints. Large roll, with substantial amounts of fish..... very happy.

As you can see from my past reviews this is one of my favorites in this area. We returned here with my family of eight for dinner with a 6pm reservation. We were seated at a nice table for nine, because one of our family members was delayed arriving from Newark airport. I enjoyed my two pineapple expresses for $14 each. We shared and enjoyed the Caesar salad for $11, two calamari's for $17 each and the potstickers for $11. My New York strip steak was properly cooked medium rare, but did not taste as good as the steak I enjoyed at Capital Grille the night before. Our total bill was $478, including taxes, but excluding gratuities. We shared the cost among ourselves. Laura M. served our table well. We all agreed we will continue to return here for lunch or dinner.

Been going for years and it has never failed us! Great meal as always, steaks, Sea bass and scallops.

Please try the seafood appetizers with lobster tail, shrimp, scallop and avocado. It's to die for. I think everything else was good too but I don't remember because I enjoyed that seafood appetizer so much. I remember a filet ... yes that was good too. But that seafood app... yum. Did I mention to try the seafood appetizer?

Bacari Grill is a good spot that is very well known in the local community. I have attended many functions here from school fundraisers to bridal showers. It's a wonderful spot just to have dinner and drinks at as well! It can be on a pricier side for what you get but there is a wide variety of options. Service is usually good and restaurant is pretty and clean.

Had my bridal shower here! Food was superb, fresh and beautifully prepared. Ample room and very nice attentive service.

My wife and I sat at bar for dinner which is very nice and pleasant. Our bartender could not have been more accommodating and very pleased with his service. Will be back again

Food was good, drinks were okay ($20 for a cocktail is alittle ridiculous) everything was definitely overpriced for what it was. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was great. Just wouldn't go back to pay for something I could get somewhere else cheaper/better.

Wonderful dinner for our Anniversary,, I had Scallops & Risotto, my husband the shrimp & pasta, For dessert we had apple cobbler & ice cream,,, delicious

Solid 4.5 stars! This place was packed on. Wednesday evening, we were celebrating our daughters bday and requested a table by the window which they accommodated. Service was very good and food as well. We started with the Burrata, calamari, meatballs and squid. Portions were just right for 6 people. Dinner was various pasta dishes, mushroom pizza, scallops and Chilean sea bass. They were accommodating for my gluten free requests and served the sea bass dry without sauce. Cooked perfectly, crispy outside and soft inside. I would come back for just this. Pasta and pizza dishes were very big and we had enough to bring home leftovers. Dessert was ice cream and the Nutella cake. Great experience, highly recommend and we will be coming back!

My meal on 4/11 was quite disappointing. I ordered the grilled colossal shrimp with scampi butter. Shrimp overcooked and plate devoid of any scampi butter. As usual the volume at the restaurant LOUD.

Came here for an event and the service was great. The restaurant seemed pretty busy on a Friday night. The servers came around with appetizers and were quick to refill drinks. They were very nice and accommodating when we told them my bf had a nut allergy. For our entrees, we ordered the steak with potatoes and the breaded chicken with salad on top. The breaded chicken wasn't anything special. The steak was good.

I've been wanting to go for a long time and last weekend I was able to get a last-minute reservation for dinner. The space itself is beautiful, a classy, modern vibe. All the tables were taken and the atmosphere was energetic. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the wine menu at the restaurant was much different then what's online. The website menu only shows glasses starting at $24 when in reality I got an 8 1/2 ounce pour of good stuff for only $12. For an appetizer we shared the grilled octopus over warm white bean salad. This is a fantastic starter with large chunks of octopus cooked to perfection. For the entrée, my companion got the Bolognese and I got the Lobster Carbonara, both were executed so wonderfully. In fact I kept stating that there was too much lobster in my pasta even though I ate every last bit of it. The prices for quality and quantity are outstanding and the service was top notch. This is definitely a place I won't wait so long to come back to.

Very wide range menu. A little bit of everything for everything. You want pasta? No problem. You want pizza? Sure! You want sushi? Have at it! Been here a few times and sent family members here as well. No complaints.

After living abroad for years we have returned to this gem. It did not disappoint!!!! What a great service we received at the bar. Very polished , knowledgeable friendly bar staff and front hostesses made us feel at home. Exceptional drinks , tasty appetizers !!!! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Came here on a girl's night and it was probably one of the best meals we've had together. As mothers, eating last is the norm so going out and splurging on some nice hanger steak, scallops, and lobster cocktail appetizer was VERY relaxing. We started off with a Cesar salad to share, which they kindly split into two plates for us. During that time, we had fresh bread with garlic butter (yum!) and the lobster cocktail appetizer. The lobster tail was surprisingly very big and the way it was prepared was so so good! I threw a few chunks on my salad which was nice. After that, we got our main course which was the scallops and the hanger steak. The scallops were cooked SO well that I couldn't even believe how soft it was! It literally melted in my mouth. The risotto that came with it was also so so good! It was in this pesto, like sauce and it tasted a little like wine! After our main course, we decided, why stop here! Let's order dessert! And we ordered this Nutella cake and hot brownie sundae. We called the night before for our reservations. The only thing I would change is the size of our table since we order sooo much food! The food was amazing, the staff was super friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself is really sooo nice! Will definitely come again!

Bacari grill is not what it used to be. I went the other evening with friends to reminisce and we were aggressively interrupted by a selfish server that thought he was important (or was poorly trained to leave patrons alone)- but he kept interrupting our conversation- as though we needed to immediately know the specials. The vibe is no longer chill at Bacari - and I've been a going forever. It's sad, but like so many other restaurants-you've lost your personality so - I'll choose to stay home. Plus the Food is seriously sub par. My grilled octopus was horrible. Please improve

Man, what a shame this meal was. I have previously gone here and really enjoyed the food, but last night was just a completely different story. In the past I have enjoyed their calamari, steak, etc. This time I went for the sushi as the special rolls sounded interesting and I wasn't in the mood for anything too heavy. The sushi was poor and not very fresh. I got some $24 lobster salad special roll with special sauce that was pretty terrible. I eat sushi at least 1x a week so I certainly know a good sushi roll when I eat one. The lobster salad was VERY fishy and the special sauce was a weird consistency. The sashimi pieces were cut WAY too thick and the yellowtail was simply not fresh. My family didn't enjoy their meals either. The chicken piccata I could make better at home, and I typically light the kitchen on fire when I try and cook. My "Pineapple Express" cocktail was essentially a glorified frat party tequila drink that tasted way too strong. Too bad as this was a regular spot for us.

My husband and I had dinner tonight at 6:00pm. We decided to give the establishment another try since a year ago we were disappointed at the hostess and service, although the food was ok. This was not the case tonight, we ordered the lobster salad appetizer which was priced at $29, which was dry and the portion was skimpy. I had the grilled shrimp which were a decent size, however grossly overcooked and tough as can be. My husband had the red snapper, which was dry and overcooked as well. We had two salads which were ok....the highlight of the $188.00 (without tip) tab! This included three glasses of wine. I would NOT recommend Bacari, overpriced for below average food that you could find much fresher and well prepared in many BYOB's in the area.

Great food and great service. This restaurant has a great environment for a date, a celebration or simply dinner by the bar. Must try!!

We have had the most awful experience with Bacari Grill in Washington Township. I contacted a manager 2 weeks in advance of a reservation that I had made to discuss special accommodations needed. My family member was celebrating completing treatments for cancer and we had arranged to have a surprise dinner at Bacari. We spoke and discussed the need for spacing between this person and others, as they continue to be immune compromised. The manager indicated that they would be more than happy to accommodate us and can seat us away from others and let the staff know to begin seating other guests furthest away first. They also arranged a special personalized dessert. Our family has had 4 very large events at Bacari and it used to hold a special place in our hearts. We couldn't think of a better place to hold this very special celebration. We pick up the family member and surprise them with arriving at Bacari for our dinner. We walk in and are greeted by a nasty manager who tells us he now has a larger party coming in and can no longer accommodate us. He shrugged his shoulders and didn't even have an apology to offer. Long story short we left and can say that we will never return to Bacari ever again and will never again recommend to others to have any type of event or dinner there. I sent an email back to the manager I had been talking with, and she didn't even have the decency to respond or offer an apology. What should have been an amazing celebration of this very difficult feat for a cancer patient turned into an upsetting night and ruined memories of a once wonderful place. Bacari is no longer the family friendly wonderful place we remember. Instead they turned away a cancer patient and their family with no heads up and no apology. I recommend looking anywhere else for any special events- as they cannot be trusted.

This place is hit or miss. If Victor is the manager on duty- be prepared to be ignored, unless you "spend a lot of money here." My family and I tried to celebrate with a drink here, and were treated truly incompetently. We were denied a table, denied seating at the bar (when it was first come first serve with open seats), then offered a table, then offered seating at the bar, then denied it again, then told we don't "spend a lot of money here" like others who apparently were allowed to reserve "first come first serve seats". I don't know why the confusion and misleading info with reservations or "money spent" was there. This is not the first time we've had an unpleasant experience, but we finally noticed this seems to be in connection to Victor being on duty. If he is not working, I would likely recommend this restaurant. If you go there and feel any sort of unwelcoming presence at the host stand- I would recommend leaving. It's a shame because this is sometimes a great spot. Very hit or miss.

We are steady customers and love the bar as well as the bartenders. But what happened to their formally great pizza. What did you change?

Pricey, fair food and okay service. This restaurant and bar is very nice looking but that's as far as it goes. Nothing else is good but it is pricey.

Been here many times and it only gets better. Tonight's faire for myself...Scallops and for the Mrs., Sea Bass. The scallops were outstanding and sat on a bed of pumpkin almond risotto, with prosciutto breadcrumbs. The crab cake appetizer was also outstanding (and take note of the sweety drop peppers). The sea bass wasn't really spicy as called out, but it was delicious (with house made raisins?). I rarely comment on wine, but the house chardonnay was a winner and went well with both our dishes. Went for an Irish Coffee to finish what was an outstanding night out. Can't help adding this... "Alejandro would be proud of the Chilean Sea Bass;)." Service was good (8 on a scale to 10). When I hit this place again, I'll certainly update the next meal.

My daughter and I had the worst experience there last night. We arrive at 5:45pm where it was fairly quiet and no server came to our table for 20 minutes. the two servers I saw greeted every other table that arrived and never approached us. When I finally walked up to the host to mention we never was greeted, one server came to us saying he never saw us. That was a lie because he greeted two other tables that came after us that was very close to us. in addition our table was by the window which is a prime location. I'm pretty sure he didn't want to serve us for the obvious reason, but either way never again. To make matters worse the manager never said anything to us, even as we were leaving the restaurant. We left and went to another restaurant.

We had a wonderful dining experience, in regard to the dishes that is. The spicy triple sushi roll was amazing. Could have been a meal in itself! My husband had the pork chop which was delicious and I got the Lobster Carbonara, different but very tasty too! Apple Cobbler was ok. Cappuccino could use some improvement. The reason for giving it 3 stars. For an establisement which is in the upscale price range I expect the service not to be a lackluster. The server we had seemed annoyed and not interested in guiding us through the menu by offering advice, mind I say, even after I asked for it! After noting down our order the server rudely ask us to hand back the menu. Our dessert was presented at the same time like our bill and that was basically the only time our server flashed a smile and attempted to be nice. We will be back because the food is very good. But please train your servers! It's a hospitality business after all and being kind and attentive goes a long way, tipping wise!

The Bacari Grill has been around for may years, serving North NJ and NY lunch, dinner, and for large catering events like weddings and other special occasions. The service and food ( at least in the dining room, as I have never been to a special event here) has a long standing reputation for great service, food, and drinks. Located minutes from the Garden State Parkway, it is in very nice setting with plenty of parking. Good bar scene with a great wine list too ( Wine Spectator Award of Excellence) THE FOOD I like their menu a lot as it is diverse but not with too any items. They have amazing sushi ! Only a few choices, but done perfectly. I forgot the one we had, but it was just as good as any authentic sushi house. You can build your own Antipasti with array of choices served with warm pita bread or just pick any of the other great appetizers like the ones we had: GRILLED OCTOPUS with warm cannellini bean salad lemon-red wine vinaigrette frisée garnish BURRATA CAPRESE with prosciutto tomatoes fresh mango white balsamic caramelbasil California extra virgin olive oil The AHI TUNA with lavender pepper crust soba noodles vegetables soy-garlic sauce pickled ginger wasabi was the perfect blend and presentation. Large portion too. My wife had the PORK CHOP- premium reserve a 14 ounce rib chop with spicy bourbon barbecue sauce. I also order this a lot when I am out and this version was on the money: ROASTED BRUSSELS SPROUTS with bacon onions balsamic vinegar. We split a dessert. Honestly I cannot recall what it was, but it was delish! and i recall the plating was beautiful. Must be all the experience they have with weddings. Great place. I need to get back here more often.

BE VERY WARY BOOKING AN EVENT HERE!!! So they have a contract, then an addendum to the contract when you sign, then when you cancel, they try to get you to sign something else to seek damages, even though they have somebody to rebook the date (although they claim to not let you transfer). They claim their catering has nothing to do with their restaurant, yet the space and food you book is their restaurant. Heavy handed business practices. Too many other better places to take your business!

Delicious food, wonderful staff and a great vibe! Bacari Grill is a gem! We had the pork chop and ahi tuna for our main courses. Both were exceptional. Desserts were special. The vibe is high energy and adds to a great atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!!

Had a great dinner tonite, as usual, of double cut lamb chops, cooked exactly as requested. Delish! And excellent service. I recommend highly. They also have private rooms for private events.

Amazing food with great servers and a nice quiet ambiance. The food was okay and the table set ups were nice and organized. Employees were kind and quick.
