"You usually associate open bars with your cousin’s wedding or your neighbor’s bar mitzvah, not wine bars by the beach. But Bacari PDR’s $25, 90-minute all-you-can-drink deal includes wine, champagne, and beer and is an excellent way to spend a Saturday afternoon. People are clearly here to drink, but Bacari manages to stay fairly low-key, so there’s no one here so sloppy that they’ll try to swim fully clothed at Dockweiler." - brett keating
"Playa Del Rey has no shortage of places where you can drink excessively by the beach, but Bacari PDR is our favorite. The casual wine bar has drink specials pretty much every minute of every day, but not in a way that makes it feel like some ridiculous college bar. The Deal: Every glass of wine is $1 cheaper than your previous one, down to a free glass." - brant cox
"You’re basically broke at this point, but you really like this person and you both happen have wine listed as an interest. Head to Bacari PDR, the wine bar right by the beach with cheap (and delicious) tapas and drink specials - including a 90-minute open bar for $25 per person that’s guaranteed to make this date interesting. Also, we promise this place isn’t as tacky as it sounds." - brant cox, kat hong, brett keating
"Bacari is one of the newer spots in PDR, but it’s safe to say it’s been welcomed with open arms. And it’s easy to see why. The laid-back wine bar tapped into what makes this town tick - a casual, beachy atmosphere with good food and extremely reasonable prices. As in, pay $25 for a 90-minute open bar reasonable. So grab a few (or five) glasses of white, build your own cheese and meat platter, and run to the beach afterwards because life is good." - brant cox
"Bacari is great for when you want a solid date night, but neither of you wants to totally commit to a full sit-down dinner. Bacari is essentially a wine bar that feels like a beach bar, but also happens to have some pretty solid tapas as well. That said, the move is come to Bacari as the sun is setting, order a cheese and salumi plate, and grab a few glasses of wine. The night will take you from there." - brant cox
