"Much like a 2003 romance/drama starring Diane Lane, Bacari Silver Lake is inspired by life in Tuscany. The courtyard is shaded by a thicket of trees, there are large, rustic tables, plus fire pits to keep you warm. It’s farmhouse chic, in the way we wish our shared backyard could be (we’re working on it). The menu is less focused—there are pizzas and burrata caprese, alongside shrimp ceviche, lamb kabobs, and Oaxacan pasta. "You might've heard about Bacari Silver Lake's romantic outdoor courtyard and boozy, bellini-fueled brunches, but it's also a great late-night option on the Eastside that's open until 2am on weekends. You can take advantage of the Tuscan-inspired patio for a late dinner with a special someone, perhaps after a concert or if you plan to elope from your boring group plans. "If the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland did brunch service, you’d get Bacari Silverlake. The almost entirely outdoor space has an over-the-top jungle aesthetic that begins at the entrance. Bacari’s giant wooden doors are trimmed in iron and look like the front gates to Agrabah. Sadly, you’ll find no Aladdin meet and greets, just decent small plates and mimosas." - brant cox
"Over in the old Cliff’s Edge space is Bacari Silver Lake, a wine bar inspired by Tuscany’s farm life. They’ve kept the many things we liked about the former restaurant (hidden patio, romantic vibe, a thicket of trees growing out of the courtyard), but ditched the tiki aesthetics in favor of warm wood accents, string lights, and fire pits, achieving a look that’s not unlike a Pinterest board titled “pastoral farm life.” Brunch happens every Saturday and Sunday and features a bottomless mix-and-match option where you can get endless mimosas, bellinis, sparkling sangria, and Bloody Mary’s for $30 per person." - brant cox, kat hong, arden shore, nikko duren
