Bacchi's Inn

The food was okay. Not great. I had Linguine with Scallops & Shrimp. The sauce was tasty, but could have used a bit more garlic. The shrimp and scallops were slightly overcooked. The pasta seemed like it was off-the-shelf, not bad just nothing special. I really enjoyed the antipasto salad, and the bread-which I understand is their own recipe-was very good but served cold. For the price ($78 for two people/one beer/no dessert), I really expected better food. The service was very good, I have to say that. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was charmingly old-school, if slightly shabby. Unfortunately, I don't think I would go back.

Think Olive Garden, but family owned for generations and a million times better. This Italian food is authentic and delicious! It looks a little intimidating from the outside, but it’s like stepping back in times to the 50s! Definitely recommend to Italian lovers.

This is a hidden gem of Tahoe, and one of the best places I've ever had the pleasure of eating at. Top quality food (and lots of it!), great ambiance, and friendly staff all made my visit here extremely enjoyable. I absolutely can't wait to go back!

We stayed in Tahoe City for a week and went to Bacchi's twice. The food is excellent. Seems like everything is made from scratch. For 5 people with drinks it was about $100. Not bad at all!

I am so happy that Bacchi's is still there. I first had a meal there, who knows how long ago, maybe 35 years ago when I was a kid. We had dinner there the other night and it had the same great feeling as I remembered. The homemade soup and salad was generous and tasted great. We tried one order each of the Parmesan with chicken, veal, and eggplant. Each fantastic. Not as huge as I remembered but still very generous. I hope to go back soon. This was an unplanned trip where we had dinner after a car accident and needed to try and relax so it was perfect. Car is destroyed but no major injuries with the family, and capped the night with a great Italian family meal.

Bread and soup were very good. However, the Italian sausage seemed like it was microwaved leftover from the day before. It was hard as a rock. The ravioli had the consistency of chef boy R d and the egg plant parmesan was not ripe when it was initially cooked. The man who handled our transaction was professional and courteous. The restaurant seems to have a lot of great reviews wish we had received the same quality the other customers had received.

This place is a family favorite for us. Great atmosphere and kind and funny people especially the owner. I like getting the spinach ravioli with the spicy Italian sausage. I feel so pampered with the 5 course meal, bread, soup, salads, main dish & the spumoni ice cream is the best!

Atmosphere is nice. Family style soup and salad is great. Ordered Tortillini, Spaghetti and a kids cheese pizza with Marinara sauce. It was so spicy we had to send it all back. The waiter was shocked. We won't be back.
