My 1st Time Going Here.... the pizza 🍕 Was Good & Tasty 💋♥️

arrilies biggs

Google
Pizza slice was tasty flavorful and yet the crust was crispy yet flaky a huge slice definitely a filler! The parmagian garlic fries were limp not crispy at all no garlic flavor just lots of parmesian not worth it!

Google
I have been coming here for years and the pizza is absolutely delicious! The jumbo slide is huge! Definitely worth the money. Even though the prices of their jumbo slice have gone up, they are still killer. Definitely a must try if you are in Chicago! Amazing late night bite.

Google
Fries are dry and re cooked, The slice of pepperoni had plastic under the cheese. And my receipt read Card total $41.39 with a Non Cash adjustment of $1.68 which I never received . So they took out 41.39 on my card when it was suppose to be $39.71 . NEVER AGAIN DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!!!!!!

Google
Amazing food and kind staff. They do not have a public bathroom. I was having issues with my Crohn’s disease and showed my medical card and they let me use their private bathroom immediately. Many places simply ignore this important law and it has caused me a lot of issues at times but not here. I am very grateful.

Google
Pizza was large. It was really 2 slices. It just tasted like it wasn't tok fresh. Maybe he didn't reheat it enough. But it definitely filled me up.

Phenomenal food. Great price. Great service.

So I highly recommend to stay away from this place. Linda the cashier is the only reason this place even got a star. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, fries and a side of barbecue sauce which equaled 1125. I had to wait about 15 minutes and when I got my sandwich it was reheated and extremely tough to eat. It's as if the chix was sitting around all day and then quickly thrown on a flat top and derved. As you can see from the photos the chicken was extremely overcooked. The fries were good but they were also over-cooked. In addition $0.75 for a side of barbecue sauce? At least Linda refundied my order. Thanks Linda and theI cook has an attitude problem.

Yelp
First of all, I love the fact that they sell their pizza by the slice and secondly they are open late. It's a perfect combo. The inside was clean and it's small so a few seats along the window and a narrow spot to wait for food if it does get busy. They have napkins and crushed peppers on the counters. Their pizza sliced are huge! Honestly two people can share one slice. It might not be the best pizza but it gets the job done. They have different slices you can chose from. Once you make your selection they reheat it up for you. It's $9 bucks for a cheese slice but understandable with the size. The workers were super friendly. Was immediately greeted upon arrival and they made sure to answer any questions we had. Parking is along the street, so if you go during a busy time parking could be difficult but we were their late so parking was a non issue.

Yelp
June of 2023 I got a slice of Pizza (for $5.60) and truth be told they are larger than one would expect, however, I stopped for a slice today/ tonight and the same slice of Pizza cost $9.95 WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE... the government? Just to be clear, I have included a (Bank Transaction Receipt) for the amount (FOR ONE SLICE OF PIZZA BY THE WAY) I WILL NEVER STOP HERE OR ANY OF THEIR THREE LOCATIONS AGAIN, and neither should you - higher food cost? I GET IT, but GOUGING THE CUSTOMER? - Two words "F off" Thanks bacci... good riddance.

Yelp
The pizza had a really good sauce. The slices are huge. The crust is crispy and delicious. Overall a tasty pizza. The shop is small and maybe enough that 6 people could sit inside to wait for their pizza. It's pretty pricey if your going to order a whole pizza, it's 9 bucks for 1 slice.

Yelp
Basic service. I always feel suspicious when I see a big fly or flies in a restaurant. The countertops are always dirty so that may be it. At least the pizza is behind a full sneeze guard and not exposed. Place is usually quiet when I dine in. But even a fresh slice of pep out the oven had thin and greasy slices, cheese had a hard texture and the crust was hard. I watched them put it in unbaked so idk what happened. Today, I was the only one in and had to listen to staff conversations loudly while I ate and was ignored as I stood at the register to get a box until I yelled repeatedly that I need a box. The dirt, fly, meh pizza and rude service all add up to my rating. Go elsewhere for at least better pizza.

Yelp
Burger was alright but I'm just irritated looking at this pizza gonna put it in oven and hope it tastes better than it looks but I feel like we can tell it won't

Yelp
Maybe not the best slice in Chicago but definitely the biggest. The food is consistent and the staff are nice. This is a great place to come for a late night bite! A highlight of coming here is the fried Nutella bites with powdered sugar-- a must order in my opinion.

Yelp
After a couple years of procrastinating I finally got the urge to visit Bacci Pizzeria after leaving work near midnight. Prior to visiting I have had my eye on Bacci ever since their old competitor, Village Pizza who is no longer open sat diagonal from the restaurant. There was a point when I wanted to compare the two in order to see who had the better pizza, but after this visit I now see. Nowhere on the grimy level as Village Pizza was, Bacci appears to be maintained; an ideal spot to grab takeout without that uneasy feeling of what is being served. Its lit up and well presentable exterior always catches my eye while either driving down Chicago Ave or as I hit Chicago Ave via Western Ave. Like its former competitor it is a family owned business. Your only option for parking is along W Chicago Ave which is not the best because of where the restaurant sits, as well as space in general. With that, it is probably best not to visit near evening if you plan to drive because the area can get congested. It did not take long for me to be acknowledged by the employee at the counter. Typically I do myself a favor by not visiting restaurants when they are crowded, even if I have no plans on dining in. I ended up ordering a jumbo slice of cheese pizza, but did contemplate the vegetarian slice on display. The turnoff for me with the vegetarian slice was the mushrooms which I cannot stand, but everything else looked fine. It must be the sauce because the cheese pizza tasted great! And it was definitely filling! As I share this I am flabbergasted that I enjoyed cheese of all choices which I used to consider boring prior to becoming a lacto ovo vegetarian. I would definitely visit this location again; maybe regularly if the prices were reasonable or came with more than just a jumbo slice. My only regret is that I didn't visit Bacci Pizzeria sooner rather than a couple years after my discovery. ~Blessings~ Thomas G

Yelp
Pizza slices as big as your head, ya pizza face! When you'rea starving student you eat these during college! It used to be like $5 for a slice and pop! Yum, but it hardly tastes the same and as good as of 2023. Plus it's like 10 for a slice! WTF?! How the mighty have fallen.

Sam B.

Yelp
This is for all bacci's locations including this one, they don't keep the pizzas under a heat lamp ever. They put the pizzas under a regular lights which is not the way you handle cheese or meat. Cheese has dairy in it, you can't leave dairy or meat out at room temperature all day. Utterly disgusting and improper food handling especially at a restaurant. I don't understand why they don't know how to properly handle food. This is going on at every location which I've witnessed and I am a certified chef. Why are more people not complaining? Your pizza that has been sitting out all day, they throw it in the oven and reheat it. Hope you never get sick!

Yelp
Beware of the rats! I work in the neighborhood and do my best to spread around where I go for lunch. Upon walking in to the restaurant, two rats run out the door. I let the server behind the counter know and then the older man in the kitchen starts swearing at me as if I stole something. I attempted to calm him down and explain that two rodents ran out of the storefront but he was red in the face berating my dead mother. Clearly I walked out and will gladly be calling the city on them. Looking forward for a new lunch spot to open in that location.

Yelp
Grew up with baccis, it's that kind of pizza that you know what you're going to get and it's never a let down unless you have VERY HIGH standards which let's be real, if you're not from Chicago you're likely one of those people so stop being pretentious rude little transplant gentrifying suburbanites from different states and start putting some respect in those reviews.

Yelp
I love the pizza but they really never have time to listen to what you want/ need and I always end up feeling disappointed

Yelp
Order a pizza through their online website for delivery at 6:21PM. I received an email moments after saying the pizza would be delivered around s 7:30PM. I called their store at 7:45PM and the lady who answered the phone told me they were experiencing delays in deliveries because of a festival going on. She was very apologetic and nice, and said the driver was on his way to pick up our order for delivery. It is now 8:30PM and the pizza has finally gotten here. While I appreciate the apologies from the staff at the store, waiting two hours for a pizza is just unacceptable. I would have canceled the order a lot sooner/not ordered at all had I known this upfront. If they knew there were going to be delays in their deliveries, they should call their customers who placed orders and let them know this as soon as they are aware of the issue. Waiting two hours for a pizza and having a customer call to figure out what the issue is just doesn't settle well with me. Definitely will not be ordering from here in the future. ** You can see in the picture that our pizza was sitting out for quite some time before it was delivered, as the crust has basically become part of the box in some spots. Not worth a two hour wait.

Yelp
I ordered the meat lovers, the slices was pretty large, but I'm a bit underwhelmed by the flavor.

Yelp
Aight heres the deal on Bacci. It's all about bang for ur buck here. It basically comes down to 'how hungry am I' If the answer is 'very hungry' - then this place checks all the boxes. Quantity wise, there pizza slices - u can't beat them. Not anymore. So don't try. Just trust me. It's a big boy slice. Sooooo, if ur hungry ur in the right spot. However, I Will say that the quality leaves a lot to desired. But also, come on- it's not Lou malnattis sure- but it's decent pizza. Stop being such a 'Chicago pizza person, and help out local spots.Don't be a loser and order some fast food place. Now, as with any good review evaluating the economic decision of 'choosing this restaurant - is important. Slice of pizza/pizza in general, is average. However, the portion is so large, that im updating my review to say it was it was 7.9/10 Would 'El Prez- ALA dave Portnoy agree with me? Idk he's coming off a traumatic carjacking in Chicago. He'd probably give this a 6.1 Dave, this is in fact completely normal here. We're working on it. Kidding, but now we do get automatic tickets for going 6moh over the speed limit... so why would u stop carjacking and violence when u could just make more money cus I wanna get my Dunkin a little quicker in the morning- amirite? THANKS LORI! WHAT A FANTASTIC IDEA THIS IS? MAYBE THIS WILL GET PEOPLE TO STAY IN CHICAGO. (Lori to associate) - "no, I have a better idea, let's increase taxes on the already most heavily taxed county in the entire country. That will do, that will stop the mass exodus!" Back to the food- 'Their pasta however is fkn good. Real good. Desert wise- the have fried dough, stuffed with NUTELLA. that anyone with taste buds gets a 10/10. These things are crack. I can barely move, but I'm still putting them down. I will not Forget u, Nutella fried dough! Support the people here, they work hard. And oh yeah if u wine about the wait. Here's a crazy idea I learned from my dad- and it always stuck with me... Call ahead

Neal J.

Yelp
Loved the pizza. You can get a variety of pieces to try and select you own size. Then you pay based on the weight.
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
I really don't know what the hype around this place is. The pizza slices are massive, but that's about it. We purchased a slice at a recent street festival. It tastes like a slice of pizza from a cheap frozen pizza box. The crust is floury, the cheese is cheap tasting, and the sauce is nothing special. If you feel like school-cafeteria-style pizza, then come here. Otherwise save yourself the trip and find a better place - or just buy a frozen pizza and make it yourself.
google avatar

Madison S.

Yelp
Is bacci good pizza? No. Is the novelty of getting a slice of pizza bigger then your head worth the trip to bacci? Absolutely. It's below average pizza that's overpriced because of the size and probably worth it for a one time experience.

Judith W.

Yelp
This place was $5 a slice with a soda. Went there yesterday it was $8.85 a slice no pop. Ice cold dried up pizza.
google avatar

Graciela G.

Yelp
Not the most spectacular pizza place but it serves for what it is. Jumbo pizza slices are the best deal of this place! Wish the place were bigger and you could dine in more comfortably, but again, it serves its purpose well of having jumbo slices that come with a soda. Great place to grab a decent slice, soda and fries though.

Javier L.

Yelp
Service consist of asking you what you want and ringing you up. No thank you, do you need anything else, do you need napkins. Absolutely nothing. By the way. A slice of pizza will cost you about $10.

Yelp
This place needs to get it together. Once ordered a sausage and peppers app dish for pickup on grub hub. Someone called me and asked what it exactly it was that I ordered. Um... I don't know, but shouldn't you? It's on your menu. Ended up cancelling the order. Then tried ordering delivery another time. Slice and Diet Coke. Messaged me that they are out of Diet Coke. Ok order sprite. Messaged again that they are out of sprite. Ended up cancelling that order too. The slices are huge for the price, and I stop in once in awhile bc it's near my house. But get it together, guys and get to know your menu.

Yelp
I don't know I just can't trust a place that puts onions on your pizza, when you order anslice of pepperoni. I ordered a slice of pizza by the slice. The bad part is that the sauce is watery, it it tastes like it's straight out of the can, the crust tastes like it is a frozen batch made ingredient, but the worst part and the biggest mistake in this pizzeria is that there was onions on my pepperoni pizza slice. Who puts onions on pepperoni pizza? True you do get a large slice for the price and they slice it up into pieces for you which makes it easier to eat. Also, you get a pop with it as well if you'd like. That doesn't make up for the fact that this pizza is just not very good, even if you're three sheets to the wind.
google avatar

Tanaka K.

Yelp
Great joint that is open late, but in the great city of Chicago there are better choices than Bacci Pizza. Pizza is sold by the slice, and the slices are HUGE....but it is only for that super late night snack. Ordered one of each slice that was available and none of the pizza impressed me. If you are in desperate need for a hot, late night meal you can consider Bacci. If not, please, please go somewhere else.

Yelp
Good pizza nice people nice place. The pizza is good the even cut it on little slices for you

Richie R.

Yelp
$7-8 for a slice. No drink? Over priced. You worked hard for that money. Not worth it. Art of Pizza $5 for s thin crust or deep dish.

Yelp
Doing Covid-19 They charge you for using a credit card, your bill will be less if you use cash! And the pizza taste OK. But the wings are pretty good.

Yelp
This review is for the Bacci Pizzeria food wagon. Based on proximity to where I unfortunately was that night I assume the deliverer's origination was the Bacci Pizzeria on Chicago Avenue. It's Thursday night/Friday morning and I had just experienced the good, righteous vibes of Little Dragon at Concord Music Hall. We come out in high spirits, and while figuring out how to get home notice there's a pizza truck parked outside so we thought, za? Oh ya bra. So the food wagon mobile was being manned by two younger dudes, probably their first or second job. We had to initiate contact with these two because in hindsight they (the employees and the restaurant) could care less about these dried straggler slices since it's just a last effort to sling it before they toss it. We ordered 1 cheese, 1 pepperoni...and then paid...and then were handed 1 box...so we checked box (thinking they put them both in there?) and said oh wait, looks like we need our cheese slice because there was a miscommunication between the dudes, so super chill dude gave his other chill dude a look to confirm I was speaking the truth, chill dude nodded, and so super chill handed us our cheese and we left assuming we're golden. FAST FORWARD TO MY CRIB. Golden crust, yes. That's the only thing golden about this pizza. We open up the boxes and they're both pepperoni!!! Arggghhh these overly chill jabronis really need a better system. I'm sorry but...the law of moderation. No chill, no thank you! TOO MUCH chill, that ain't cool either!

Yelp
When I don't feel like eating a gigantic slice I eat a gigantic pasta!!! Fresh ingredients and made to order can't beat that!! They make it just like i like it extra garlic!!!!

Yelp
Ok $7.00 bucks gor a slice and a small drink. Get the heck outta here! Don't get me wrong its a huge slice amd its decent, but come on now $7.00 bucks. Who is this guy the Donald Trump of pizza. It will fill you up and lighten your wallet, thats all im sayin.

Yelp
Bacci's pizza is not a sober pie to have. It's pizza at it's lowest point. The bare minimum. It's a huge slice with a cup of soda pop for an affordable price. If you are ordering a full pie from them, it's because your cheap or your feeding children and you don't care enough for their taste buds. p.s it's perfect for a college party. That's really cold to say, but it's not taste that keeps them in business. It's quantity. They have poor customer service here, poor in how they treat problems which may have arise with orders placed. There is a time in life when Bacci pizza is loved, when you are young and penniless. When you get a job and can afford more, even Totino's pizza puffs are better.

Susan P.

Yelp
Best veggie sandwich ever! I am not a vegetarian, but my friend ordered the veggie sandwich and I tasted it. Now I have ordered 5 of these sandwiches in the past 10 days. They use artichokes, spinach, fried eggplant (just the right consistency--not soggy), cheese, etc. One time they ran out of eggplant, but they substituted mushrooms and extra spinach and it was still delicious. Also, the giant pizza slices are excellent. As well as the Italian salad with homemade Italian dressing and the Italian beef sandwiches. There are about 10 places to sit inside, otherwise this is mainly a to-go or delivery place. Also, super friendly staff. Specifically a woman who took my lunch order and a man who took my dinner order.

Yelp
Bacci used to be my favorite pizza place, especially late night. Now it's becoming run down, dirty, and with rude staff! The food prices are going up, but the quality is going down. The soda at this location has fruit flies in it. I told the male Hispanic cashier and he didn't even apologize. He threw out the cup and handed me another one, then talked about me to the cook like it was my fault. I'm pregnant and wanted a stuffed slice and he was mad because I asked if I they were putting out any more slices, smh! What happened to the birthday coupons?! Also, what happened to the warm, cheesy, tasty slices with a free soda (actual brand soda)? They warm up the stale slices, burn the crust, and dry up the cheese. They used to have fresh slices all day long and if they didn't have what you wanted they'd make it. That's why Bacci used to be always packed and the staff used to be well trained and pleasant. Also, the flies in the soda machine and around the pizza slices, and in the windows surrounding you while you eat, is gross. I understand things happen and have given Bacci the benefit of the doubt, but this last time the food made me sick to my stomach! I even tried the other Bacci on Taylor, smh, the same thing, so that means poor management! Art of Pizza $4 all slices even pan and stuffed, is my go to spot now!

Yelp
All I can say is WOW. GREAT PIZZA , friends and I enjoyed it. Will definitely be back

Cata S.

Yelp
The woman at the front taking orders was rude and unhelpful, cooks were u ser standing and very polite.

Yelp
I forgot how hot it gets in these places. Anyways, the pizza was good, just wish the seating wasn't so cramped. At least they had the White Sox game on the TV!
google avatar

Yelp
I want to start off by saying I have not been to a baccus in years and decided to stop in for a cheap slice of pizza on my way home one night. I was not expecting much but I was caught off guard with the quality and when I got to the register. The pizza has severely declined. It is really not all that good anymore. I mean it was always baccis quality but the benefit of it was that it was only $5 with a drink. Come to find out, it is no longer $5 a slice with a free drink anymore. That deal only runs on Tuesdays. Regular price was over $7 with no drink. For the money, I would not come back here. There is definitely much better pizza out there for less money and much better quality and taste. I always say it is extremely hard to f*#$ up pizza but if anyone is looking for ways to do it, just stop in and ask baccis.
google avatar

Yelp
THE SLICE IS AS BIG AS YOUR HEAD! Honestly the slice here is probably larger then a small pizza. In fact, when I get the slice to go they have to cut it again, in order for it to fit in the box to go. So it feels like you are getting two slices for the price of one. And the prices here are really low. It is $5 for cheese, pepperoni or sausage or $6 for the meat lovers or all veggies. But the deal gets even better...they throw in a free can of soda too! That makes me laugh because is the soda really free? Or is is worked into the cost of your pizza slice? Hmm! I call that food for thought! Personally I really do not need the can of soda because I am coming up on two years with no soda in my life. I usually grab it and throw it in the fridge at work. I know someone else will need it one day. This is not one of my regular pizza places but it is kind of my back-up emergency, when I am pulling an all night session in my office. It is typically 9pm, when I realize I am still working and I haven't had dinner yet. I really do not want to go out for a big meal and that is why I come here. Now I know that I said the slice is as big as my head but I also said that they cut it in two. My two slices now become two meals. Yes I save half for breakfast. Cold pizza rocks in the morning, after you just worked all night. This place is worth it based on the low price and the amount of food you get. Would I go out of my way to order here? Probably not. But this place is always there for me when I need to get some food in my body.
google avatar

Yelp
Two star deduction. Did the pizza here get left out overnight or? Went in to pick out a couple of slices, and it just didn't look that good. Actually they were waiting for some poor soul to take the last slice of cheese and the last slices of spinach before putting a new one up. It's obvious these were sitting out a long time and people were just choosing others. So my husband asked for a fresh slice of spinach and the manager replied, we ain't putting a fresh one down until that's gone *pointing at dead looking slice* Sorry but at some point it's been out too long and it needs to be removed. He could have just given us a fresh slice and left it for someone else that thought it was acceptable. He could of had happy customers and a nice update about being accommodating. Instead, he lost our business and gets this crappy update.

Yelp
I placed an online order for delivery at 7:30pm for a large pizza and breaded zucchini with a 2-liter of pepsi. 9pm: no delivery in sight. 9:15pm: I call Bacci and they apologized and said that they were leaving now to drop off the pizza. They offered me $5 off my next order and to not worry because my pizza would still be warm. I told him I wasn't worried about the warmth I was worried that it should not take over an hour and a half to get a delivery. 9:30pm: no delivery in sight. 9:45pm: the delivery guy drops off the food and leaves. We check our order and there is no 2-liter of pepsi. I call him right away and he said he didn't think it was in the car so he'd check on the way back from his next delivery. 9:46: I call Bacci to let them know we did not get our 2-liter and would like another one on top of that. The guy who answered agreed and said he would let the delivery guy know. 10:15pm: crazy knocking on my window. The delivery guy said the pepsi was not in his car so he stopped by a convenience store and bought us a 2-liter of coke! Poor guy probably used his tip money! We graciously thanked him. 11pm: I received a survey email from Bacci regarding their food and service. I explained that the food was good, but the service was bad except for the top notch delivery guy who went the extra mile. 3am: Bacci was calling me and I was asleep. Why on earth would anyone think its okay to call a customer at 3am? It's like they saw my survey response and wanted revenge. The pizza was good, but the poor service made a perfectly good Saturday night very sour. Do not order from this location...can't say much about the other ones.

Yelp
I called at 12 in the afternoon to place an order for my students before winter break. The first time it rang all the way through and nobody answered. The second time they answered and asked me to hold but didn't actually put me on hold. I sat there for seven minutes listening to them complain about everything, cursing out customers that were placing orders, saying eff this eff that. I guess they didn't realize that they never put me on hold, they just put the phone down so I eventually just hung up and called back. This woman answers and tells me that they use a 3rd party system and they're running late so I should do them a favor and not order anything. ??? What kind of business says that. I asked if it would be easier if I placed the order with Uber eats then because Uber used their on drivers. She told me to hold on and put me on hold for 8 minutes until I finally just gave up and ordered from somewhere else. What a waste of time.

Yelp
I never write reviews but in this case I had too. My advice? Never order from this place. Where do I start. It took 10 minutes just to speak to someone when I called. I ordered a pizza and their "famous" calamari. They girl on the phone told me they were a little busy and it would take about hr 10 for delivery. No problem. One hr 40 min later I call and ask about my order. Again it takes the girl 10 min to answer the phone after being on hold. She says it's on its way and she'll give me a 20% for waiting. Never asked for anything just when I'll get that pizza and "famous" calamari. But hey. She then tells me she can't apply the discount to this order so will apply it to next. At this point I'm contemplating if this was my first and last time ordering from this dump. But whatever, discount doesn't matter to me just want my damn food. 2 hr 10 min goes by and still no food. At this point I'm pissed. I worked as a delivery driver in my hs days at a very busy pizza place so I know well it can get busy. But we never took 10 min to answer the phones and never told our customers a time and delivered it an hr late. I called again and this time told her I am not paying for this entire order. Don't care about the next one cause I'll never order from there again. Tried to remain as polite as I could so I never said that to her just said I wasn't paying for the full thing. She then of course puts me on hold again for a good min but the driver finally shows up. This is where it gets good. This lazy a$$ driver doesn't even come it the door. This dude has the audacity to honk the horn for me to come to him cause he's double parked. I live on Ashland so he was too lazy to park and get his fat a$$ out of the car to bring me my pizza deciding to block traffic instead. The food was nasty. The calamari was just breading and unedible. When I say unedible I mean I tried to eat it and couldn't chew through it because it was so stale. The lettuce that it was laying on was stale/slimy. And of course the pizza was cold. To the owner of this place: I doubt you read these reviews but if you somehow come to stumble upon this one? Here is some advice. Seriously reevaluate your staff. From the girl on the phone to the fat lazy delivery driver. Don't know how you are supposedly so busy but I doubt i will be for long

Yelp
this place is a bit, well, crap! An outrageously ginormous slice does not a good pizza make...bigger is not necessarily better and this is perfect evidence. The crust is bland and too thick for the amount of sauce and cheese they put on it, both of which were not to my liking. But alas, it *is* pizza after all, the food that's akin to sex in that, even when it's bad, it's still ok...this was ok at best.

Yelp
yikes! I always Wonder why the men in my life like this palce! Probably the hugeness of the slice. when you get a slice it is nasty and dry .. When you buy a whole pie the crust is doughy and under cooked... you can't win with this place! Just Say no.. But a Plus: the goings on here are a kin to the Jerry Springer show!!

Yelp
Remember that pizza we had for hot lunch in elementary school? It was cut into a large rectangle to fit snugly in the tray. It was greasy but dry, salty but bland. Remember? Bacci's slice is a lot like the pizza you remember from hot lunch except it's cut into a gigantic triangle. The slice kind of became like a salt lick for me, I just kept revisiting it because it was there not because it was good and not because I was particularly hungry anymore. I just kept looking over and there was more left so I'd take another bite. I purchased this slice "to-go" as I was leaving town for a six-hour drive home. It took until the Iowa/Illinois boarder for me to decide I was done eating it. I mean, I didn't even get to finish it because I was too full. I am fat and Dutch so the fact that I threw food out is huge. It was just too much. I think it's a great deal for $5. It's not awesome pizza but if you're just looking for something to fill your gut, it's perfect. I'm sure it's delicious drunk food.

Yelp
Mediocre at best. I got a medium cheese for carryout. When I arrived 15 minutes later (as they'd instructed me) and my pizza still wasn't ready. Alright, I'll wait. And then I keep waiting. Oh and then I wait some more. So it was probably around 15 more minutes, but if the pizza takes 30 minutes to prepare when you are EMPTY just tell me, ok? I hate it when businesses just waste my time. The pizza itself was pretty bad. Nothing like the huge new york style slices on display. The crust was mealy but the cheese and sauce were acceptable. It was cut into squares, which really ruined the whole giant new york slice experience. On the whole, I'd only come back here LATE at night.

Yelp
I like how the seating is set up, facing the window. You get to look outside at the grimy street scene and feel like a construction worker in the olden days. Actually, you get to rub shoulders with impoverished Empty Bottle cretins and illiterate teenagers from the nearby high school. Maybe if it's late at night you'll luck out and get to witness a few of those teenagers talk all ghetto and puff their chests out - yay - it's kinda like being trapped in a lower budget, direct-to-DVD sequel to "The Warriors." But it's like I said about the Bacci over on Taylor - five bucks for a huge slice and a drink. No complaints allowed. Suffer the locals and stuff your gluttonous face!

Yelp
I tried the deep dish cheese pizza from here. It was just okay. I mean, even bad pizza is still edible, and it wasn't bad. It was just ordinary pizza. It was nice that they delivered late. BUuuuuuuuuut, I was looking at their online menu, and they obviously haven't updated their prices or have them wrong, because they charged $16, when the online menu said $14, and they also have a $3 delivery fee that wasn't mentioned on the site. I will have to try the Village Pizza across the street.

Yelp
NY Style slices prevent me from eating a whole Giordano's stuffed - so the Bacci factor is good for this foodman's potential eating disorder. Yes, I eat for comfort, discomfort, when I'm depressed, happy, lonlely, watching tv...and sometimes also when hungry. Bacci's large but not too large for me portions keep the food monster from going ballistic on Sunday nights. (Sunday is pizza day.) Two is good for me - and if you get 'em hot, it's great. Crust is great, crunchy, somewhat sweet and durable. The sauce is plentiful and sweet. For whatever reason, when you order with sausage, the whole experience is better. The meat does something to the sauce that makes it taste better than any other slice. If you don't do the meat, the spinach and mushroom or just plain cheese will make you happy. With the cheese, you really appreciate the crust. With the spinach and shroom, your attention is drawn to the sauce (although still not as t-bud worthy as w/the saw-zeech). Go there. Get the slice. I ordered delivery one time and it was nowhere near as good. I don't get it. Love this place. Best NY style in the city...as probably everyone else has stated below and above me. (I hate not being first.)
