Came here on a recommendation. Atmosphere was nice, small locally owned restaurant. Service was adequate, no recommendations given so I just chose a couple of dishes. Had Lasagna and the Gamberi & Polenta, an Italian shrimp and grits of sorts. I likes the Gamberi polenta more than the Lasagna. Lasagna sauce was a bit on the sweeter side, not used to that. Decent local Italian.

This was our first visit to Bacco and it was outstanding. My wife and I both had the chicken marsala wrapped in prosciutto. It was so delicious. The cannolis for dessert along with the limoncello after dinner liqueur was the perfect way to finish a beautiful Italian meal. Can't wait to go back and try the other entrees.

Google
The best Italian food my husband and I have ever had! I am recommending Bacco to everyone I know who may ever visit Charleston (the restaurant is actually in Mt, Pleasant which is just over the bridge). The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and everyone speaks very highly of their chef and owner, Michael Scognamiglio. Beautiful atmosphere, we went on a Friday night, and there were a lot of people out, but I still felt we had our own space. The portions are large. We got an appetizer (fresh made mozzarella and prosciutto) and fresh made focaccia, entrees, and dessert, and I could only eat half my lasagna. The pasta is also handmade daily, and you can tell! Five stars.

My husband and I visited Bacco while we were in town for our anniversary trip. Omg!! The service was EXCELLENT! The food was EXCELLENT!! The authentic taste was just out of this world! Definitely will be coming back next time we’re in town!

Had a great experience at Bacco! Great, friendly service and tasty, authentic food. They have homemade pasta and bread!

One of my favorites in Mt Pleasant! Family owned, and delicious! Feels like Sunday dinner with family each time! Fresh made mozzarella that is to die for perfection!

Google
My wife had the pappardelle. It was outstanding! The home made pasta is superb. The atmosphere is nice. I however was somewhat disappointed in the Shrimp Scampi. The pasta was great too much lemon but the most egregious mistake for this dish is that the shrimp (a key ingredient) was cut-up into tiny pieces! Absolutely unacceptable Chef take notice. I will go back however I will not order this dish. We also ordered the "roasted olives" thinking they would be more robust in flavor. Well what we got was hot pan tossed olives! Hot from a pan. Very strange! We took them home, they were much better cold as they should be. To be clear, this is a very good restaurant, I just think they need to rework the scampi to include full size shrimp (not cut up). And, Fire Roasted olives should be just that, not heated up in a pan.

Google
Always great food. Always something new on the menu along with the old favorites! Homemade pasta and interesting Italian Continental dishes. This Chef really knows what he's doing. The prices are very fair can't complain. The atmosphere is a simple version of fine dining. Small classy bar. Great place to take a loved one or have them push a few tables together for a little get together. Luigi will greet you with a basket of the best homemade bread you've ever had and the service is always very good. It is pretty much my go to Italian place in Charleston. I think I've been to about every restaurant on Mulberry Street in New York City by the way and I really love this one here in Mount Pleasant South Carolina.

Yelp
My husband and I discovered the most extraordinary Italian pizzeria Stuckey away in a corner of Northcutt Plaza in Mount Pleasant off Coleman Blvd. we had been looking for a nice restaurant in which to have a wonderful celebratory birthday meal, but due to enjoying sights around Charleston we found our intended restaurant closed. We looked down the strip and saw La Pizzeria, and it was love at first bite. We met the owner who went out of her way to make sure we were well-cared for. She and her staff were professional et very personable. We were made to feel as though we were simply joining a family meal around the table in Italy-even though our order was takeout. Through our conversations we discovered that all the ingredients they use in food preparation are imported directly from Italy and traditionally made. Although the name is La Pizzeria and the two varieties of pizza we received were the absolute best we have ever eaten. The lasagna was to die for. We give this restaurant our highest possible recommend, and we will make it a point to dine here each time we visit Charleston. Thank you La Pizzeria for the delicious food experience.

Yelp
This place is an unexpected gem. We had calzones and the spaghetti and meatballs, they were delicious. The meatballs were moist and full of flavor, the sauce rich and a perfect reminder of what true Italian sauce should be. The crust was perfectly crispy on the calzone, the ricotta cheese was a nice addition. The staff was very attentive and the owner greeted customers like she knew each one. The tiramisu was the best we've ever eaten. I'd give it ten stars if I could!

Yelp
Needing takeout that would allow me to catch a sunset on time, this place fit the bill. It was a tiny space for dine-in, but my food was fresh and ready at the promised time, and I got more of a welcome than I'd expected for a quick takeout. I had a delicious smell (mostly basil) wafting to me as I rushed to make my appointment with the sunset. The pizza didn't reinvent any wheels, being a thin crust that focused emphasis on the toppings. The cheese was rich and the basil strong. My salad with gorgonzola and roasted nuts was arguably more filling than the pizza, and came with enough dressing for three salads. The amount of food for the money wasn't a ton, but I was satisfied with my decision.

Yelp
We had a lovely [wink] pre-Valentine's day dinner at La Pizzeria. We decided to go the day before V-Day to enjoy a shorter wait (about 15 minutes), fewer people, and better service. The host remembered our name from seating to exit (impressive!) and Sasha (server) was warm and attentive. We started out with the caprese salad and mozz sticks. We loved the Italian dressing so much we ordered an additional dressing "sidecar." Both of LP's entrees were a hit. The chicken parm was solid, served with penne, and had a sweet(er) sauce. The ravioli special was creamy and perfectly cooked al dente. Rather than the traditional Italian dessert, we ordered the moist chocolate cake and (you guessed it) loved it. Our main feedback would be to 1) have real (tearable) bread (versus little "croutonesque" pieces) and 2) to ask us/patrons before removing plates; we were dunking our bread in some extra sauces and dressings, blinked, and all the dippers were suddenly cleared. Yes, we shouted to get the young lady's attention (another server) but she was so quick to grab the dishes, already had her back turned towards us, and was sprinting away. Further, we were charged for two extra dressings even though the second (cleared) one was full/untouched. In general, we (and we suspect most LP patrons) like to feel welcome, *unrushed, and addressed directly (eye contact) when making any/all decisions.

Yelp
Extremely small quaint spot with eclectic decor. Jimmy was very knowledgeable and super attentive. Husband loved his lasagna, but I felt the chicken Marsala was somewhat bland. The garlic knots were fabulous, and the Almond Amaretto Tiramisu was STUNNING!

Laura P.

Yelp
We have bought pizzas to go for several years but decided to go inside and try out their menu. My husband and son both got the lasagna and i got the chicken marsala - we all three agreed the food was delicious! The portions are a tad bit on the small side but between the bread etc, we were full. They added a bit more decor to outside eating so i will have to find out if we can bring our dog for the next time. Staff was very attentive - not just one person attending to us so a family like feel.

Diane B.

Yelp
Cute place in a strip mall location close to our hotel nicely decorated - friendly wait staff - small amount of seating out front- Very loud and noisy inside is my only complaint - we had a pizza - very good ultra thin crust -I had a small Cesear salad with my pizza dressing was very tasty - I believe it was house made dressing

Allison T.

Yelp
It's no surprise that this place is popular and for good reason! Delicious authentic Italian right here in Mt. pleasant. I will be back!

Yelp
So you're in Mt. Pleasant for the weekend and it's late -- late enough that a lot of restaurants are starting to close soon. Not really sure what to eat but you could always go for a slice (or two)? One restaurant, two words. La pizzeria. Nestled into the corner of a strip mall, inside this cute little restaurant is a cozy little front section adjacent to the register, stacked dessert case and the giant pizza oven you see as you walk in. I noticed they also have additional seating in another dining room to the right (though we chose to carry out vs dining in). As a lover of gourmet pizza, I always get excited when I see a sicilian or grandma type of pizza on the menu -- or anything thick, square cut, and with crispy edges. We tried to order online but quickly got stopped. One quick phone call later, we discovered that you can only place Sicilian pizza orders over the phone or in person because they only make a certain amount of those pizzas per day. Having never been here before I wasn't sure if this pizza would be large enough to adequately feed two pizza lovers without being hungry afterwards -- spoiler, alert: it was. The guy on the phone informed me that the pizza is 16 x 16 and this pizza was fairly giant. He was super helpful as a first time customer, explaining that we needed several boxes as even a large standard to go box would only fit about one slice of pizza. We went with the Pomodoro pizza (as pictured) which turned out into eight giant but equally delicious slices. It's not often when you increase the size of the pizza, the quality also increases at the same rate but this place nailed it. This particular pizza was a little pricy at about $28 before tax ($31 total) but considering the size you can definitely get several meals out of it. The photo doesn't do it justice because one slice of pizza is about the size of a person's forearm. This was the first visit but will not be our last.

Yelp
Today is "Pi Day" and I wanted pizza. I asked my friend Owen who lives here for his recommendation on the best pizza in Mount Pleasant. Without hesitation, he said La Pizzeria is Italian style pizza. I told him that I had just returned from Napoli last month where I had pizza at the restaurant that invented margherita pizza https://www.yelp.com/biz/pizzeria-brandi-napoli?hrid=O3obg38llMaAt-0iJHP9PA and so the standards are going to be high. He said not to worry and that the owner is Italian and she doesn't speak much English. Okay, Owen. Let's see. (Oh, and I see good reviews from some of my Charleston Yelp buddies Amy Lauren S. https://www.yelp.com/biz/la-pizzeria-mount-pleasant?hrid=fAaHhFLdWkBf_32SwVHlLg and Scotty C. https://www.yelp.com/biz/la-pizzeria-mount-pleasant?hrid=TEaGXHxvqsec9LLtE4ocww.) Warmly greeted and seated immediately when I arrived at around 5:30 pm, a friendly waitress took my order and returned with my beer and a bowl of bread with olive oil. The bread was excellent. All good so far. Small caesar salad to start. Nice fresh greens, excellent croutons, delicious dressing. Is this fresh grated parmesan? I'm thinking not. Then the pizza arrives. I chose the San Gennaro, having had pizza at the famous Porta San Genarro https://www.yelp.com/biz/capasso-napoli?hrid=XwvTHOIKzYJx_1eINbZspg. Sausage, carmelized onions, green peppers. Presentation? Excellent. Hot, melted cheese. Charred edges. Nicely topped. How was it? Absolutely excellent. A little fresh red pepper on top and it was perfect. And as tribute, I ate with knife and fork like a proper Neapolitan. Molto delizioso! Perfect Pi Day pizza! [Review 19340 overall - 922 in South Carolina - 310 of 2023.]

Yelp
Tried this place out this week since it's highly recommended online and is authentic. We tried the burrata, prosciutto pizza, margarita pizza and a bottle of moscato. The service was not the greatest. Loved our waiter but had to wait a long time to get a seat and then we found out we were taken off the list so they said they would add us to the list again... waited again. It was a busy Friday so I get it. The only problem being it's 30 degrees out and no where to wait inside so after 40 min of waiting outside we couldn't feel our hands lol. Then we ordered food at about 6:20 pm. Our waiter said they have amazing oil that comes with the complimentary bread. And then we never received bread for over 30 minutes. Once we got our bread, we finally got to eat at 7:35 pm. I don't think I have ever waited over an hour for two small pizzas. The waiter apologized and said they ran out of dough for the first time? The ambiance is very cozy! Kind of a hole in the wall place from the outside but has a nice inside. The food was good, not amazinggg and not worth a 2 hour wait unfortunately. Definitely worth a try but service could be better.

Marianne M.

Yelp
Blah. Tasteless pizza - crust ok but tasteless toppings. No italian person would rate this place as good.

Sara R.

Yelp
I can't believe I forgot to post about this amazing dinner my good friend and I had at La Pizzeria in Mt. Pleasant back in November! We started off the meal by sharing their Caesar salad which is a huge portion with the most delicious dressing in the world (the pic doesn't do it justice). Yum. For our meals I got the linguini with clams and my friend got the Veal special with fusilli and we washed it down with a bottle of Impero Collection Montepulciano D'Abruzzo red wine. As always Lana and staff always make you feel welcome and like you are part of the family. If you haven't checked it out, you should. Would make a great "date night" place if you are lucky enough to have a date, lol. @mtp_lapizzeria

Yelp
The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and very attentive. High standards in the quality of their products, the true taste of Italy

John C.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and go eat here grabbed a Quattro Formagio pistachio ricotta cheesecake cookies this place flat out rocks!

Sean W.

Yelp
The pizza here was well made. It uses San Marzano tomatoes for the pizza sauce which in my opinion makes the best sauce. The staff there were very friendly and courteous as well. The place is a little pricey with $1.75 -$3.00 per topping but the taste makes this cost worth it.

Linda S.

Yelp
Great food, prices are reasonable. Excellent service , family style, busy but not along wait.

Kelli P.

Yelp
Best pizza and olive oil! Every bite was delightful, well balanced, perfection! Olive oil had a unique flavor to it. Waitress informed us the owner makes and ships her own olive oil straight from Milan. Had to take a 1 liter bottle of our own home! Quite busy but the wait staff was attentive and organized, and after a quick wait they got us in. Noticed hostess thanking 2 parties by name, wait staff was personable, kind, and attentive to everyone. Great experience. Thanks!

Carmen ..

Yelp
Absolutely Amazing !!!! Laura and her crew are "On Top Of It". The pasta and pizzas are authentic and makes you feel like you are in the Middle of Milano. The desserts are superior!! Always trust their wine selection. They never go wrong. Our waiter Jimmy was great and Dargen was Very nice too. Eddie is also the Best! Can't wait to go back!!! Carmen and Ryan

Adam W.

Yelp
This place hands-down has the best pizza in Charleston. The ravioli is phenomenal and the staff is super friendly. I could not recommend this place enough for Italian food and pizza.

Lynsey C.

Yelp
This place is amazing. It is tan by real Italians and the food is so flavorful and high quality. This must be my favorite Italian in town. The staff are super friendly and I'm excited to return!

Brandon R.

Yelp
A lot of people said this place was good so I figured that I would give it a try and the wait was over 45 minutes and that's not because they were busy. It's because they were understaffed and the place is very small. We did so down eventually and ate pizza and it did not taste that good for what the reviews say/price reflection will not go here again save your time.

Ben T.

Yelp
Quite possibly the best pizza I've had in Charleston if you like a thinner crust. Not sure why this place has only 4 stars. I mean it's a little small inside but it has kind of a European cafe feel. Definitely better than most of the dumpster pizzas I've had at other places in chuck town that have 5 stars and should be maybe a 3.

Susan F.

Yelp
What happened? The best pizza crust in Charleston has now become cardboard, white bready and tough. Appetizers came tepid and bland, pizza took a half-hour to arrive. Maybe one more try, since we liked it so much earlier.

Paul S.

Yelp
My experience started with Eddie once I entered the establishment. True hospitality and I knew my meal was sure to be 5 Star. I got a true Italian ambience from moment I smelled the delicious aroma coming from the kitchen. Dining area was full of compliments to Eddie as he showed me around. His customer service alone will have me and my family back.

Kim V.

Yelp
Great ambiance and service and delicious food with fresh ingredients. We had pizza, dessert, and coffee--all were great and the prices were very reasonable.

Jay R.

Yelp
Buona sera! Consistently one of the best genuine Italian eateries in Mt Pleasant with a wonderful bistro atmosphere. It is a busy place - even if you go before 6! ( They do take out too. ) All the staff are always helpful and friendly -even when they might seem somewhat harried by the crowd--Eddie is the anchor who holds down the fort at the front. The main menu always reliably delicious but the specials can have some delightful surprises! Trust your friendly wait staff for recs- including the wine! One of the best all time was the putanesca which does not make an appearance often enough IMHO. Tonight the beef short ribs ravioli were quite good, though had a couple of grissily bits sneak in. Make sure you save some room for a cannoli- if you have never tried one before La Pizzeria is a great place to do it.

Jane L.

Yelp
Excellent food, great staff and great use of a smaller space! We had the Margherita pizza and calzone- both were incredibly fresh and delicious- Highly recommend a visit here!

Steve M.

Yelp
There is everything to love about La Pizzeria. Upon walking into to the restaurant, you would not know it was situated in a shopping plaza. The inside is what you imagine a quaint Italian restaurant in the middle of Naples would be like. We started the meal with a bang by ordering and splitting a Bruschetta dish on the daily special menu. The toast was topped with chopped tomatoes, small, cubed pieces of mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and a beautifully spiral slice of Prosciutto. Almost like a souped-up slice of a margarita pizza but served on crispy toasted bread. I love the fact that you can order single slice of pizza. You can still have pizza while ordering other dishes, and each person can order the slice they want. OK, so we both wanted, ordered and enjoyed a slice of margarita pizza. The slice is large, served piping hot, on a thin, very crispy crust, Love the crust The wife ordered and absolutely loved a pasta dish that was also on the daily special menu. This dish consisted of Freshly made, velvety smooth Fettuccine, with Sautéed clams (sill in the shell) in a white wine sauce I ordered a past dish with meatballs, then to meatballs. in tomato sauce, than I topped off by ordering and adding a side of meatballs. Just a fantastic dish Now to the dessert. The very first thing you see upon entering the restaurant is a large (tall) round display of incredible looking dessert. Once you looked at these plates it isn't likely you will pass when it is time for the sweet course. Although we were both stuffed, we had to try the Tiramisu. This Tiramisu isn't anything like we ever seen or tasted. A nice square piece that sits tall on the plate. The cake was bursting with flavor, with an orange taste that hits you in the face, (in a good way), which we are guessing came from an orange liqueur. The Tiramisu was so fantastic that we had to order another dessert dish even though we were more stuffed than before. This time we went with profiterole dish that had 2 pastries, one covered and chocolate, the other covered in a white vanilla cream. While not as good as the Tiramisu, this was still a very solid dish Over all an outstanding meal, and one of our new favorite restaurants

Lori J.

Yelp
Very disappointed in our dinner last night at La Pizzeria. We have been there a few times in the past year and enjoyed the service and the food. I have a food allergy and they have been very accommodating in the past but tonight I was served my entree with the ingredient in it that I informed my server that I was allergic to. I called her over and she blamed the kitchen, no apology, no care at all. In today's world so many people are on special diets so restaurants must be more careful when preparing foods. It may have been the kitchens fault but it is the server who was managing my food so she should have made sure it was ok for me to eat. What if I hadn't seen the the item I couldn't eat or if someone's allergy is not visible? Plus it took over 15 minutes for my new entree to to be served so most of my family had already finished their meals. I will also say aside from this issue, our server was not friendly or attentive and seemed rushed during our time there. There was no offer to remove the item from our bill or give us a free dessert for the mistake. (Which has happened in many other well run restaurants.). To make matters worse, I had a terrible stomach ache when I got home, do I will not return. I have found many restaurants in Mt Pleasant who care about and treat their customers much better. Bye, bye La Pizzeria!

Suzanne H.

Yelp
My first time eating here. My husband has been talking about how good their pizza is since way before the pandemic. We finally went and he told me to pick the pie. We got the Prosciutto pie and it was Amazing. Te service was great and I will be going back. So worth the wait!

Jo D.

Yelp
This pizza is not bad. It's not the best I've ever had but it hits the spot when you're craving a slice.

J. P.

Yelp
The food and the service was impeccable. My family and friends visited while down in Charleston SC. My family loved it so much that we ate there both nights while being down there. The ambiance is nice and quaint. The food is made to be good and not not heavy on the stomach. They import a lot of what they use in terms of flour, olive oil, and prosciutto from Italy. And the owner is excellent and very personal with her customers. All I can say is the gentleman at the front handling a lot of the carry out is absolutely fantastic and does a great job with engaging with the customers. This is by far my authentic Italian spot I will always go to when in Charleston SC.

Ed S.

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance was excellent. Sausage and pepperoni pizza, arugula and prosciutto pizza and prosciutto with mozzarella appetizer all done to perfection. The only thing is I wish the restaurant was bigger, looks like only small parties. They should open a second restaurant somewhere in Summerville, we could use a great Italian restaurant.

Tiffany A.

Yelp
The service here is just awful. The food is good, but not worth poor customer service. We have gone a few times and been on a waitlist that somehow means nothing, but if you complain they seat you. So we decided to try takeout. They messed up our order and didn't even apologize. Thankfully there are several other, far better, Italian restaurants in town who provide top notch customer care. This place is not one of them.

Jack S.

Yelp
Despite the fact that "La Pizzeria" has to be one of the most unoriginal restaurant names one could think of (apart from "Waffle House"), the Italian food dished up here is pretty decent. In addition to a good lineup of pizza (Surprise!) and the usual entree's, Calzones and Strombolis were also available. Much to our delight, Arroncini (rice balls) was on the menu - a fan favorite of ours. we also ordered Eggplant Rollantini and Chicken Marsala - all very tasty and served piping hot with sides of pasta. The red sauce was delicious. not coyingly sweet, with real flavor and substance, unlike the out-of-the can stuff that you find in some other Italian eateries around here. Home-made olive oil served with small pieces of pizza dough was a nice treat with seconds offered quickly. Dessert was worth the price of admission alone - homemade Tiramisu and Lemoncello cake topped off the meal nicely. Can't wait to try their White Pizza next time! Would've given 5 stars, but truth be told, the portion sizes left something to be desired, considering what we paid to dine here. Buon Appetito!

Jane S.

Yelp
Excellent pizza! Wonderful staff too. One con: ordered a Caesar salad that consisted of only chopped Romaine lettuce and dressing. No Parmesan or croutons. Otherwise a great meal .

Andrew C.

Yelp
This little restaurant was incredibly tasty. We found it by luck and were completely blown away by all the food we tried, and the hospitality as superb as well. 10/10 experience from beginning to end. Get the lasagna and pizzas and thank me later... Enjoy!

Mike B.

Yelp
You simply cannot say enough superlatives about this restaurant. Great food & service. Their pizza is second to none. Thick & chessy with a perfect dough. Wonderful pasta dishes. Garlic knots to die for and just great comfort food. I hesitate to write a review as they are already crowded..

Taryn B.

Yelp
The best Italian food we have found in Mt. Pleasant. The pizza is consistently delicious, and the arancini balls are out of this world!

Brenna W.

Yelp
Delicious food & amazing service... everyone is so hospitable! Laura, the owner, is WONDERFUL!!

Ryan H.

Yelp
just got back from Italy 1 month ago. traveling through to head north and stopped here with my son. I felt like I was back in sorrento Italy. amazing olive oil and balsamic. pizza off the chart. crust. then the veal parm. off the chain. where r u Guy Fieri give this place love!!

John W.

Yelp
Certainly one of our favorite pizzas in Mt. Pleasant. Their crust is perfect and the toppings are all so fresh. We also love the salad with nuts, blue cheese and a white balsamic. We always get takeout and it's ready when they say it will be, and the host is always pleasant. A real Mt. Pleasant gem!

Mimi F.

Yelp
Amazingly delicious! We had 3 pizzas and the eggplant parmesan entree all of which were piping hot and super tasty. We also tried the tiramisu dessert which was spectacular. They do not have call ahead seating nor reservations so plan ahead and get there before or after peak meal times. They were/are open Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve which is really awesome too if you're looking for somewhere to dine out on the Holidays!

Tarsha A.

Yelp
Where do I start!! OMG, I'm so sorry it took me sooooo long to try them out. On a late night at work heading home West Ashley, I decided to stop for to go. I decided to go in to see what the place was like instead of ordering ahead, and I'm happy I did. I was immediately greeted upon entering by a nice gentleman doing double duty taking phone orders as well as orders at the counter. Once it was my turn he answered my numerous questions and was extremely patient with me. I decided on the garlic knots that I've read so much about, and I was not disappointed AT ALL!! To say they are THE BEST garlic knots I've had in Charleston, doesn't do them justice. They were the perfect consistency of soft and crisp bread!! Gee Louise, they are mouthwatering great!! The marinara sauce just adds to the flavor instead of being over powering!! I'm in love with their garlic knots!! Ordered their calamari as well. They were very good. Tasty with a side of marinara sauce. For the grand finale, I had the Gamberetti Pizza, which drew me in with the combination of shrimp, tomatoes/sauce and caramelized onions!!! 3 of my favorite things in one dish, I couldn't resist, and I was not disappointed!! The crust is the best pizza crust I've had outside of Naples, Italy and/or NYC. I've found my new favorite pizza place. The crust was thin and bendable/foldable, which are a must for me. The young gentleman walked me through the deserts, as they all looked heavenly!! I ordered desert as well, but had no room to try even one bite, but will definitely update once I have it with my leftover pizza, calamari and knots today!! I cannot remember the name, but it is composed of a slight lemon custard in a tarte type dish topped with nuts!! I can't wait to try it!!

Ken E.

Yelp
This small, intimate and authentic Italian restaurant has a busy, fun vibe and serves generous portions of absolutely the best bolognese we have ever tasted. We love bolognese and have enjoyed it all over the U.S. and Europe, but always rank La Pizzeria's #1. Excellent pizza and delicious daily specials, too.

William C.

Yelp
We have been to La Pizzeria several times over the years. It is one of our favorites and we are glad to see them offering table service again. We went last night with friends and shared a pizza. It was excellent, as always. You really can't go wrong here. The entrees we have tried in the past are delicious, as are the desserts.

Victoria A.

Yelp
First off, impeccable service. Everyone was so attentive and kind. Not only did our server help us with the table, but the owner as well. She was checking up on us to make sure everything was perfect. And it was! The food portions were not that large, but the taste made up for it. The pasta is homemade which is definitely a plus in my book. The atmosphere was very quaint and it made you feel like you're part of the family. But the desserts. OMG. Insanely amazing. I can't even describe how good their ice cream is either. You have to come check it out for yourself. 5 stars

Yelp
I tried La Pizzeria with a group of friends who live in Mt. Pleasant and raved about it. It's tucked away in an unassuming corner of a shopping center, just down the road from the hustle and bustle of Shem Creek, and when I walked in, I was greeted by a case of beautiful and tempting desserts. Since I didn't want a lot of food, I decided on a side salad and a slice of veggie pizza. I like that La Pizzeria offers slices, and the meal- along with the complimentary bread- was enough for a light dinner. Pizza is very subjective, and taste wise, this one was somewhere in the middle. The slices are thin, not greasy, and include plenty of toppings. The only water available is bottled, which limited how much water I drank since I didn't want to pay for multiple 16 oz. bottles of Dasani on a 90 degree day. Before tip, my bill was just under $12 for a slice of pizza, side salad, water, and side of marinara sauce for my pizza crust. I actualy went elsewhere for dessert. Our server was attentive, and even though a few members of our party of five were a bit late, she didn't make us feel like we were inconveniencing her. She was a great server and a shining star at the restaurant. I would come back if invited with friends or it was convenient, but with so many pizza options in downtown, West Ashley, and even on Coleman Blvd., I'm not sure I can justify the trip here for a pricey pizza.
