How to Spend 3 Days in Marrakesh, Morocco

"An Art Deco–style café inside a historic palace where waiters in crisp white blazers and red fezes serve coffee; it’s a stylish spot with high demand, often incurring long, hours-long waits, so arriving before 10 a.m. is recommended to secure a seat." - Asia London Palomba Asia London Palomba Asia London Palomba is a trilingual Italian writer from Rome, currently based in Boston. The 22 Best Restaurants in Marrakech, Morocco | Eater

"After visiting the stunning Dar el Bacha Museum of Confluences, entering this on-site cafe is like taking a step back into the 1920s. Casablanca is full of Art Deco design, but examples are less common in Marrakech, and the style is rarely combined with palatial Moroccan residential architecture — all making Bacha more intriguing to explore. The coffee bar and restaurant is a must for caffeine lovers, given its extensive list of over 200 varieties of coffee, including some rare types. Pair your choice of joe with the signature orange blossom churros with melted chocolate. [$$]" - Amanda Ponzio-Mouttaki

We visited Bacha Coffee Marrakech twice, the first day we found a 3-hour wait, so we returned the next morning at 9 AM, an hour before opening. Even then, there was already a short queue! Once the doors opened at 10 AM, everyone rushes in to buy the entry tickets: 10 MAD for the café only or 60 MAD including the museum. We got our tickets and headed inside, where there’s another short wait before entering the café itself. From that point on, the experience was flawless. The staff offer excellent service from table allocation (many tables inside courtyard) to sharing the history of Bacha Coffee and helping you choose from their huge coffee menu. We ordered two coffees and some food, and were free to walk around inside to take photos. We were not rushed even when there were many people waiting outside. After finishing, we explored the space a bit more and admired the beautiful architecture. The atmosphere is amazing, the coffee selection is incredible, and overall it’s definitely worth the early start and the wait. Highly recommend for coffee lovers visiting Marrakech!

Go there as early as 9:00am to queue up and also don’t forget to carry cash for the entrance. I did carry any and despite waiting from 9am they said they can’t accept card payment, luckily a wonderful girl from England offered to pay for me. Then you enter in this beautiful cafe, the place is straight out of Pinterest. A lovely waitress greeted me to my table for one. They suggest what coffee pairs week with the desserts and the menu. I tried the royal pistachio coffee it was delicious for someone who doesn’t drink coffee. Got my self a savoury croissant filled with salmon, tuna and cheese. The best breakfast ever. If you are in Marrakesh this is a must visit. 1000/10

This is a really great place to est and get a coffee but you may need to wait up to two hours. They don't take reservations. You have to pay the entrance to the cafe or you can pay more for the whole museum. It is worth to wait. You can also buy some coproduxcts in their shop. They have good meal deals in their menu.

Outstanding. Gorgeous, classy, five star service. The breakfast was not only beautiful but good. How can you go wrong with 200+ coffee choices! Big time suggestion: go there between 09 and 09h30. You will get in and its definitely worth it. Highlight of my Marrakesh visit. The museum was nice as well. Have to make a choice? Skip the craziness of Marjorelle gardens and go here.

TIP: even if it is fully booked you can go to buy coffee beans and sweets inside . This will allow you a quick look of the amazing place. One star for the unfriendly staff at the enter point at ticket counter as they never know about availability. The interior was amazing and great smell of coffee everywhere with very friendly staff.

This place is magical. It starts with walking through the stunning traditional Moroccan architecture of the early 19s, lifting up you spirit, and relaxing your mind with the beautiful colors of the Moroccan cultural heritage, leading your soul to the exceptional coffee shop. The menu has a variety of all over the world coffee selection, delicious pastries and other brunch options. The servers take the time to explain the origin of the coffees and their taste, making it easy to find the perfect match for each picky coffee lover like me. The service was excellent but what made our experience even better was the exceptional welcoming of Mehdi (the manager) who made sure that we all have a great time. He was discretely supervising the tables paying attention to each and every detail so everyone could enjoy their time. Thank you Mehdi for attention you gave to my kid, he was really happy. Thank you Dar Bacha for this unforgettable moment and for your great service and personnel, and of course for offering the best coffee we’ve ever had. Definitely recommend this place at least once in a lifetime.

Get there by 9:30am before they open. There was already a line 25 people deep by then. You then purchase a ticket to the cafe, museum, or both. (I recommend getting both if you’re not immediately going to be sat in the cafe.) Then go to the cafe where they’ll take down your name and party size and give you a buzzer for when your table is ready. It’s not a large venue and the turnover is slow so it wasn’t a surprise when I was walking out to hear the security guard tell people it was about a 3hr wait for the cafe. It’s a stunning cafe, but the food is very mediocre. I had the combo that included juice, eggs, two pastries, and a coffee. The eggs and pastries were underwhelming. Some of the coffees I wanted to try were also already out. Coffee comes in large golden pots so it’s best to go with a group of 2+ people so you can try more flavors.

Bacha Coffee in Marrakech is honestly one of the most magical coffee spots I’ve ever visited. The moment you walk in, the smell of freshly ground beans and the beautiful interior completely sweep you away. Their coffee is incredible — so many blends, so rich, so aromatic — and the pastries are truly next level. The only downside is that you really have to be patient. The wait is usually 2–3 hours, and they don’t take reservations, which can be a bit annoying when you’re excited to get inside. But once you finally sit down with that first sip of coffee… you kind of forget all about the queue. Totally worth experiencing at least once.
