I’ve known about Bacha Coffee for a while, so I was really looking forward to finally visiting the original site. The space is stunning-covered in intricate mosaics and filled with the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee. It’s a beautiful place to spend time, and I genuinely enjoyed being there.
The coffee lived up to the hype, the food was excellent, and the staff were smart, polite, and efficient.
That said, a couple of things did let the experience down. Firstly, the prices are eye-wateringly high - more in line with what you’d expect at a high-end cafe in Central London. Secondly, when waiting for your table at the Bacha cafe, the staff were unnecessarily strict. If you hadn’t bought a ticket for the museum, you weren’t allowed to sit and wait in certain parts of the courtyard. A bit ridiculous if I’m being honest.
Overall, it’s a lovely cafe and worth a visit, but don’t expect too much beyond the aesthetic and atmosphere. It’s definitely tailored more for tourists, and they’re not shy about charging for the experience.
