Had the homemade cheese ravioli and wow it was out of this world amazing and the fresh warm bread was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend I will definitely be back again. This was my 1st time here, so glad our previous choice had a long wait time which made us look up open places in our area. Super Happy we came and tried this restaurant. Everything tasted delicious.

Came here exclusively for the pizza and it was definitely solid! Prices were relatively reasonable and they have the small 6" pizza option which is fun to do if you want to share a lot of flavors or for kids. The stuffed pizza had a good flaky pie crust and a decent homemade sauce, nothing mind-blowing, but still good. The restaurant has a bit of an old school grimy feel to it, but I'd come back for the pizza!

The deep dish pizza is incredible!!!! Love the garlic bread!!!! Nice easygoing waitress.The staff was on point. It was nice to see the owner involved with everything , he was very helpful. We are glad we stopped, definitely worth it. Thank you for giving us a wonderful experience.

The pizza was great. Did not expect so many thumbs. They have a strange basement bathroom. Feelings the BBQ Chicken Pizza was missing red sauce. The thin crust pizza had a girth to it. The stuffed pizza was normal in its goodness. BBQ Spec Za: C- Thin Crust: B+ Stuffed: B+

Ordered the Bacino's stuffed special, thin crust BBQ chicken, a pepperoni pizza, and a bunch of garlic/cheesy bread. The food won't win awards from fancy judges, but it's great in that "local place around the corner" feeling. I prefer the stuffed crust over Giordano's. Parking is tricky since it's on the end of a triangle corner block so try to park a block away and just walk.

The wife and I went there last night... The place is beautiful .. The service was phenomenal .. The Calamari Fritto were excellent... Then came the pizza... Beautiful presentation, delicious toppings and flavors... Up until we hit the crust. It was/felt and tasted literally like an apple pie crust 😞... My 2 cents, if you want to shine and be the Chicago Pizza you were just 3 years ago, get rid of that dough recipe fast... 🤦🏻 Guaranteed, you'll be on the top 10 again in no time.. 🙏

Second time buying a deep dish here. Bought the first with extra cheese and while it was great, the extra cheese was not necessary. This time we went for the spinach and 1/2 sausage. It was fantastic! People were nice and price was fine for what we got. Highly recommend!

The restaurant was empty on Monday afternoon and smelled not fresh. But the service was quick and food was ok.

Food very good - now have homemade soup (or chili) every day. Salads great! My fave is the Gorgonzola & pear salad. Pizza is good - the stuffed spinach is their trademark (and low fat cheese!) and is wonderful. On request they will add stuff - I like artichoke- don't like to add mushrooms (changes texture). Good wine & beer selection- nice folks - good hangout. Decor is old neighborhood.

This is a solid place to get deep dish pizza in Chicago. Friends and I went here for a quick lunch before the zoo -- the stuffed pizzas take about 25 min but we loved that we could order individually sized pies! The arugula salad was huge and beautiful but I didn't get a photo. Our pies were delicious -- the sauce was great, the crust was crunchy and the cheese was gooey. They also didn't skimp on the toppings!

Stuffed pizza take out review It was not awesome in my opinion, especially compared to all the other options readily available in Chicago. To me the cheese tasted like low fat low moisture mozzarella and I think there wasn't enough other flavor either with onion, garlic or additional cheese blends. So it was sort of bland and then the toppings were extremely sparse. I wasn't sure if we just got a dud pie but we ordered a second time and I was equally as disappointed. We ordered a pizza with spinach and broccoli and at one point I cut into the pizza length wise to see if there was in fact any broccoli and I found one small floret only. However- the fried ravioli app is so good I would be willing to eat that again. The wings are good and the salads are good.

If you're in Chicago and looking for a spot that pleases both kids and adults, look no further than Bacino's of Lincoln Park. Recently, I braved the chaos of dining with a large party, and Bacino's delivered! The food had everyone smiling, from picky eaters to culinary connoisseurs. I sipped on a decent Old Fashioned, scoring it a solid 8 out of 10. But the real star was the Bacino's Special Stuffed Pizza--remarkable doesn't even begin to cover it. It's not the fanciest joint in town, but who needs fancy when the food is this good and the service--shoutout to Amanda--is even better? Highly recommend making a pit stop here when you're in Chicago.

I ordered a large Sausage Stuffed Pizza and a half tray of their Penne alla Bolognese. The order was phoned in showed up very hot at the promised time. To give them the benefit of the doubt I won't knock off anything for their penne alla bolognese. It wasn't good. Tasted like it was frozen or from a can. That's all I'm really going to say about that. Now as for their pizza...well that's a different story. The pizza was good. It had a doughy and flavorful crust. The sausage was good and the sauce tasted delicious. It was extremely cheesy though. So if you like a lot of cheese on your deep dish, than this place is for you. In my opinion, Bacinos pizza is very similar to what Giordanos makes. Very cheesy and doughy crust. I can see myself ordering another stuffed pizza from here, but that's about all I would consider ordering.

A friend and I had dined in last week and it's very unfortunate to say the experience was extremely underwhelming, overpriced, and over complicated. Attempting to get seated was a hassle within itself, yet when we were finally sat, it took nearly 15 minutes to be greeted and receive service. Our waitress was unprofessional, rude, and had attitude throughout the entirety of our dine in experience. It's extremely frustrating and disappointing when an establishment does not hold their employees to a professional standard, as well as meet the customer with a hostile and unfriendly approach to resolving food concerns. The food was poorly served and presented, taste and quality noticeably worse than the service, and atmosphere and cleanliness just baffling. The pasta was flat out disappointing. The prices are not reflective of the standard of food one would expect for the location of the restaurant. Pasta was flavorless, sauce underwhelming and bland and patchy and as if it were microwaved. The pizza was doughy, sauce was bland, and the cheese was questionably sour? The glasses for drinks were covered in finger prints as if not washed, our table had grease and oil smudges, and the bathrooms were appalling. When my friend and I brought up concerns about our glasses to our waitress, she unenthusiastically apologized in a sarcastic manner, didn't bring us new glasses, and was just rude. My friend and I couldn't help but feel singled out as when we left, we had seen our waitress laughing and giggling off with another employee, despite seemingly being in a bad mood for the entirety of our dinner. Extremely unfortunate as a friend had recommended this restaurant to us and we decided to clear out our day to try it out.

The bathroom scene is appalling. When you turn on the light bugs go scurrying in every direction. In fairness, the guy who runs the place is super personable. I was only here for drinks so hopefully that killed some of the germs, but I certainly wouldn't recommend eating here.

The best thin crust Chicago pie ever! I've not had any other pie but this is the best. Some of the pasta is great

okay food was good but...... when we came in we said we had a group of 10. they seated 8 of us at one table and 2 people at a table far away....girl what. so we squeezed into a booth together (shmmr) they didn't refill our water which was a little annoying. BUT....... they added a gratuity tip which is fine. but they tip on the original check was not the same amount as the check they gave back to us after we payed. so that's odd. So don't have more than 7 friends if you come here

Place was recommended to us by someone I know in the city. John, the owner, was awesome to my son and myself. service was outstanding and the pizza was even better. will totally go back next time we are in Chicago. It's just a quick walk from the L. Totally worth your time to check this place out.

Ohhhh yum yummm! Had a piece of heaven in a pizza pie! Delicious! We also had the salad with pear & Gorgonzola...we ate it so fast & didn't get a pic of it. I know there are a lot of deep dish pizza places in Chicago but it seemed this was one for the locals (a bit away from big touristy sites) - they also won local food awards. Def a must when you make it to Chicago!

This was just bad. First of all the place is SUPER dirty. We sat by the bar and the floor and walls were covered in grime and dirt. The service was non existent we saw our waitress once in the 2 hours it took to serve us. No one seemed to know what was going on. Everything tasted like it was microwaved and the chicken was 100% from a can. It was that gross rubbery chicken, not fresh at all. Olive Garden had better pasta. It's also super expensive for what you get. $18 for microwave pasta? Highly recommend going elsewhere.

Outstanding pizza and cocktails. Our favorite place for pizza in Chicago. The pizza is always hot, fresh, delicious. A real treat and you can't beat the location. Eat here and head two doors down to get a blizzard at DQ. Highly recommended.

Returned last night. Had a horrible experience. Place suffers from mismanagement. Poor service. Outdated. Food isn't good enough to save it. Time for Bacino's to close. So something better can move in.

People leaving bad reviews here for "the pasta" is like going to McDonald's and complaining about their side salad. Here's what happened. Chicago native here, and one of the (rare) local Chicago style pizza devotees. And for my money, this is THE BEST deep dish (stuffed, technically) pizza here in Chicago. Period. Same pizza chef now for years, I recognize the dude. Make no mistake, friends. Just ignore the sad reviewers who somehow were snookered into ordering something here other than pizza. That's like judging Dunkin Donuts based on their "sun dried tomato pesto sandwich." Best. Chicago style pizza. In Chicago. Boom. Ngooday.

Whether you're a chicago local or tourist, Bacino's quite literally has the best deep dish pizza. The flavors, crust, cheese, and sauce pair stunningly together. Staff was super friendly and kind. The crust isn't soggy within 10 minutes, has nice texture, and gives the pizza a much needed base to build upon the rest of the ingredients. In a great spot like Lincoln park, what else could you ask for. Although you can only eat so much deep dish, when you do, you'll crave this spot.

We enjoyed hot and delicious thin crust pizza that arrived in less than 40 minutes through Grub Hub. Our first time trying this place for delivery in Lincoln Park and we were not disappointed. I would love to try the stuffed pizza as it definitely looks like a menu favorite. And when in Chicago, Italian sausage (SAAAH-SIJ) is a must. Delicious on a hot and muggy night with an ice cold cider or beer. We'll be ordering again. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time! Food and drinks were delicious. My kids loved the pizza and fries and my husband and I enjoyed the drinks! Friendly and accommodating staff, always a plus while dinning with small children. I would definitely recommend!

Classic Chicago style stuffed pizza. Beats giordanos any day. Crust is light and flaky, which I feels sets it apart from Any other Chicago pizza place.

Covid review: came here with a friend and sat outside because it was a beautiful day! Their outdoor seating isn't much. Its just square tables and chairs on the sidewalk. Mind you the side walk isn't that wide so tables were pretty close to parked cars. They offer dine-in options too. I ordered the Bacino's special in the bambino size which is the 6". The bacino special is italian sausage, mushroom, green pepper, and onions. Bambino size is the perfect amount for a small individualized pizza. Note: it will take about 20-30 min if you order the Chicago-style stuffed pizza. The only stuffed pizza I've had is from Lou's so I was excited to try this place. It did not disappoint! The ingredients tasted soo fresh and the crust was perfectly crispy. I would come here again, especially since its in a great location. Service was good! Our server was very polite and cracked jokes here and there. It did take a while for him to grab our check but it didn't bother me. I recommend!

We came here when a nearby place on a Sat night was too full. After a 15 minute wait and some water while waiting we were seated near the front. It was pretty cold out so we liked warming up but the door was propped open for a time, causing a draft. It may be because the pizza oven is at the front of the restaurant behind the register, like at many Giordano's. The good stuff first: Great fried ravioli, nice wine list (moscato and chianti), good pizza, the pasta cavatappi with chicken in Alfredo sauce was great, and I heard the tiramisu was great. Not so great: the wait for food, even wine or appetizers, but I allowed it bc it was Saturday. The coffee could have been hotter but I did not complain. Our server was upbeat and knowledgeable. The ladies room downstairs had NO SOAP dispenser, not even a pump bottle! We mentioned it and they seemed surprised. We HOPE that's not the employee bathroom! Later on we heard them drilling holes to add a soap dispenser. Thankfully I carry hand sanitizer. The ambiance was nice, just 1 tv in our room, with kick boxing. Pretty much no one wants to see that, maybe turn to basketball or hockey or baseball? No Chicago teams playing but at least those sports are appealing!

Had to try deep dish pizza while in Chicago, and there are many places. Based on other yelp reviews, most pizzerias do a good job so we chose Bacino's cuz it's close to Lincolm Park (only 10 minute walk to zoo entrance). The 4 of us shared 1 small Bacino's deep dish special (sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms, sauce and cheese), and 1 small Mediterranean thin (pesto, pine nuts). No leftovers but we were definitely full. The restaurant looks small, but there is plenty of lower level seating plus a bar area. The deep dish was tasty and not soggy or wet like many other stuffed pizzas can be. The thin pizza had a perfect crust with just the right portion of toppings. Bacino's is just the place for pizza lunch before a day at the zoo, especially if you're taking public transportation or walking.

Giordano's is a great pizza and Bacino's absolutely shames them in comparison. They don't do anything special, no gimmicky ingredients or techniques: they just do everything better, from crust to sauce to toppings. I will absolutely order again every time I'm here. They are THE Chicago pizza in my book.

Cute little restaurant at the heart of Lincoln park. I already love the neighborhood so finding a mom and pop place with good food service is pure bliss. We ordered the a small deep dish to share and couldn't get a pic cause we dig right into it once served. I like their pear and gorgonzola salad and fried ravioli as well. I would like to return to this place and try more of their yummy strong adult beverages and maybe a pasta dish.

Tried this after word of mouth from another business near by and was not disappointed! Everything from their garlic bread to their pizza was incredible. The prices are really fair, and the customer service was great too. They even have soup for the colder days, and a large menu to serve many different tastes. The classic deep dish is a hit, and I'm definitely coming back for more.

Hooray for vegetarian options! This two-story Italian restaurant is great for a casual meal. The main floor has a bar area and dining room upstairs, and party room and restrooms on the bottom level. The bottom level was empty during my visit and looked as if it were in the process of repair. My sis and I visited the Chicago Zoo and decided to eat dinner in the area. After a little online recon, we selected this restaurant because I had eyed the Portobello Panini. There were also vegetarian appetizers, pastas, salads, and pizzas. We arrived at around 4pm. There were plenty of open tables and we were immediately seated. Since we already knew what we wanted, we ordered quickly. I ordered my panini and my sister ordered the 6" Spinach Supreme Stuffed Pizza. Our waitress, Christine R., warned us that the pizza would take about 35 min. Since our visited would be extended, my sis asked for the password and we tapped into the free Wi-fi. We also watched the television in the dining room to pass time. When our food arrived, it was plated well and tasty. My panini was delicious! Her pizza was very good and very filling. Service was very friendly and helpful. Christine was a sweetheart. Prices were reasonable. The two restrooms were unmarked single user restrooms. One door was painted pink. I'm assuming pink was for the females but I observed that people used either one. The restrooms were in working order but in need of a little help. Overall, we felt this restaurant was deserving of a strong 4. I would definitely visit again.

We went o Bacino's to have a small birthday dinner, and the staff was helpful, and the food was good. They seemed to be doing much online business, but it did not interfere with their dining room experience. The staff was amicable and accommodating to our group. We had the Arugula salad, which was delicious. The creamy goat cheese was delicious. The calamari was also well done, and I would recommend it as an appetizer. We didn't get pictures of the pizza, but it was also delicious and had a crispy crust. I recommend Bacino's for a quick, easy, and convenient get-together. *Parking on Lincoln wasn't bad/

This pizza was amazing and the service was even better! This was our first stop in the City and so glad it was. They were so helpful in providing great suggestions on what to do in the short time we were there. Their recommendations made it an amazing trip for us. Thank you Bacino's! Wanted to try a new place for deep dish pizza. Great food. Got a small deep dish and Caesar salad. They even gave us a small bag of cookies too. So kind! I would go back!

Pasta was good, but the calamari was pre packaged frozen and not seasoned. Very rubbery. I asked if they had bread which I knew they did and they said no. Surprise- when the pasta came out it came out with fresh bread. Bathrooms- disgusting. There was urine all over the women's room toilet, and it wasn't flushed. No regular soap, just hand sanitizer? I understand that it was all gentlemen working but someone needs to check on the bathroom there were many standing around and could help with bathrooms. I physically cleaned it myself and I am a patron, because I didn't want the next girl to go in and see what it looked like.

This place kind of looks like a hole in the wall, but the food is really delicious. Definitely gives me family/locally owned business vibes. My boyfriend and I got the garlic bread as an appetizer, the pesto pizza and the rigatono de bacino as entrees to share. Everything was delicious! However, I gave 3/5 stars because the service was lacking to a point that it wasn't excusable. We were a table of 4 and got two pizzas and my pasta. We waited about an hour to be served our entrees. Our pizzas were also super thin crust, so I don't know why it took so long to make. Another thing was when we came in it just so happened to be happy hour. There was a badge on the table which labeled "50% off food and drinks." We were amazed because the prices were already pretty cheap. It seemed too good to be true, so we called over the hostess and asked if this applied to all the food and drinks? She told us yes. We went on with dinner and when the bill came it was way higher than we expected. We called over our waiter and asked if the happy hour still applied. He pretended like he forgot and just said he would be back with the new bill. When the new bill came it was still higher than we thought it'd be. So, one of my friends inquired and our waiter said happy hour only applied to appetizers and cocktails. This is standard for happy hours, but we were told differently. The service kind of dampened my overall experience, but the food is definitely worth it.

The best Italian food I have ever tasted in my life. The rigatoni pasta was exquisite. I will definitely be going back. Wow wow and just wow.

During quarantine this is THE only restaurant we have ordered from because we trust this establishment during these troubling times! They're delivery time was reasonable but always allow for more time for stuffed pizza. It tasted the same as when you're there!! I don't know why more people don't come here! It's exceptionally good food and usually no wait. I always get the spinach supreme bambino (no mushrooms) and it's the perfect size. My husband gets a small cheese and sausage and it's delicious. Good beer and wine menu. Love coming!

I'm not a huge fan of deep dish pizza (that's a debate for another time) but when in town and you need to get the deep dish Bacino's is the place I would go. Their crust is great! Much bigger space than you would expect from the outside and a very helpful staff.

This was an amazing deep dish. My son and I enjoyed it so much. It really brightened the young life of our son. I lived in Chicago for 6 years while in college and recall Bacino's as one of the best deep dish places. I was so happy to find it exactly as I remembered.

I was very disappointed by today's interaction with the manager, Miguel. There is a way to communicate with customers without being rude or lacking empathy to a customer's questions/concerns. My family has been going to Bacino's since before I was born in 1986. Today we were told my the manager that we could not be served unless we scheduled reservations due to COVID. However, there isn't any signage stating such and their website doesn't say anything of that nature either. I will say that Frank, our server, was extremely accommodating and gracious. He heard our concerns and tried to assist in the best way possible. Thank you, Frank, for being the reason I even gave two stars. While on yelp, I noticed that the issue with manager is a pattern. I would encourage the owners to speak with him about customer service. Also, on yelp it was eye opening to see that Bacino's had many issue with hygiene/cleanliness. I don't foresee myself going back to Bacino's in the future as it used to be a nostalgic place for me to frequent. Bacino's isn't what it used to be. Also, the pizza was mediocre--this was disheartening for me because I would deal with a unfriendly manager to enjoy a good slice of pizza. **In response to manager's feedback, while I was unaware of this and I did not respond harshly or negatively towards you when as you spoke with us. I cannot speak on my third parties actions and I can only speak for myself. I would like to say that this review is in relation to the interaction prior to the third party arriving. Once again, I am not set out with the intent to argue, but with the purpose of explaining that customer service needs improvement. I really appreciated Frank's attitude towards the situation. He provided us with the same options as yourself, however, he heard the concerns and tried to assist without being argumentative. Your response and tone of voice could have been adjusted to reflect that you were doing your best given the circumstances.

Bacinos is our FAV spot for deep dish! Tonight we had a medium pepperoni deep dish along side their amazing caprese salad. This is our "go to" spot whenever we're in town and I always recommend this place to friends visiting Chicago.

Went here for dinner and really enjoyed sitting at an outside table watching the world go by with a local brew and a slice of deep dish pizza. The service here was great. It naturally took longer because the whole pies take a while to bake. Our waiter was attentive, checking our beer levels were sufficient. In our party of four, we ordered the Bacino's Special (Italian sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and onions) and the Spinach Supreme (add mushroom) pizzas. Both selections were quite flavorful and didn't last long. We will definitely be back again!

Food: found a long curly hair on the calamari + with only one other diner, the pizza took closer to 45 minutes. Service: no apology for the hair in calamari. Waitress barely dame to check up on us (please see comment above on there being only one other diner) Environment: turned on the lights to a dungeon-ous bathroom and I've never seen cockroaches disperse so fast. Soap dispenser was also not working (this is COVID season, guys). Overall: could not pay me enough to come back here again. Sick.

I live near by Bacino's and rarely order from there. After a long day of traveling, I had a family member place a to go order for me so it would be ready when I arrived back to my apartment. When I called the restaurant to ask if my order was ready, the person on the other line was almost mocking me. Asking me when I placed it and to add 25 minutes to that time. I asked very nicely if he could check to see if my order was ready under my name or phone number. Again in an extremely rude manner he told me he couldn't and to find out when the order was placed and to add 25 minutes to that time. I later found out I was speaking to the manager of the restaurant. It was terrible customer service. The food is okay at best and paired the rudeness of the manager - me, my family nor my friends will be ordering or dining there again.

The stuffed spinach and mushroom pizza was outrageous. Highly recommend! Is it true they mail cross country? I hope so because it's that good.

I was in Chicago on business 20 years ago and ate here. Ever since, when I think of Chicago, I think of this place. My family and I just came back to Chicago , so we came here. My children ordered spaghetti and meatballs. My son dies not usually like meat, but devoured the meatballs. The gravy was delicious. They even brought fresh bread which was good to soak up the sauce. My wife and I split a small, stuffed crust spinach and mushroom pizza. That was what I ordered all those years ago. The marinara was balanced. The crust was almost like a pie. It was cooked perfectly with a slight, crumbly crunch. The mozzarella was plentiful and mixed with spinach and mushrooms. Worth the wait. Probably the best pizza I have ever had.

So I haven't had a stuffed pizza in years as I considerably reduced my dairy consumption after learning of the horrors of the dairy industry. But when I saw that milk was being thrown away due to lack of demand from the food service industry during these times, I was beside myself about the unconscionable waste. (The supply chains for grocery stores are different than supply chains for service facilities like restaurants, office buildings and schools. That's why while grocery stores restrict items, farmers are still stuck with wasted food. Errrr! It's also why grocery stores don't have enough toilet paper now.) So I knew I had to support the local pizza industry :) in turn, reducing food waste. We had always ordered from Bacino's, so we were going to go with Giordano's to mix it up, but Giordano's is a chain, so back to our old go-to! And per usual, it was a great experience. Ordered a stuffed pizza for pick-up. Got there before it was done - was eager to get out of the house(!) and the employees were very friendly to chat with. The bonuses were certainly a surprise, warm chocolate chip cookies! And they even gave me toilet paper! Then I got a call from the owner making sure everything went well with our order! Yes, the only minor imperfection was that the pizza could have been cooked a little more. I wonder if they sped it up since I was waiting. I've never felt so appreciated for my business! Highly Recommend.
