🍨✨ one of the many Bacios in LA, this Brazilian ice cream shop is a true hidden gem and many don’t realize it’s Brazilian because it was created by an Italian family. The ice cream here is simply divine - my personal favorites are Stracciatella (creamy with perfect chocolate shreds) and Baccio Cream (rich, nutty, and utterly indulgent). But the magic doesn’t stop at ice cream: the menu also offers buttery cookies, festive panetones, delicate pastries and crispy waffle-like cones that are perfect for holding your scoops. The ambiance is just as delightful as the food: elegant, chic and thoughtfully designed, making it the perfect spot for a date, a catch-up with friends or a solo treat. Every visit feels like a small celebration of flavor and style. If you’re a fan of top-tier desserts, this place will steal your heart and maybe your sweet tooth too. Very light ice cream. A must have and a must always repeat! Great to go and big party options too!

Cozy spot for a sweet treat! You can get two flavours, and rest assured they’re all creamy and rich, with a nice range of sweetness levels (which I loved). There are plenty of interesting options, so it’s fun to try something new each time. The staff are always lovely. I’ve been to two different locations, and both times everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Just a wholesome experience all around.

I’m a big fan of Bacio di Latte and have been to several of their locations. The gelato is always amazing, and this new Sawtelle spot was no exception—clean, neat, and inviting as always. The only downside this time was the service. There was just one person working, so it took a while to be served, and unfortunately, he didn’t quite have the warm energy I’ve experienced at other Bacio locations. My husband and I asked to try a few flavors, and when he chose his cup, he requested a bit of the top of the gelato to be added in (something we’ve always been able to do at other locations). The answer was that it would “ruin the look of the gelato,” which felt a little frustrating. It’s a small detail, but it makes a difference for us, and usually, Bacio goes above and beyond with customer experience. That said, the gelato itself was delicious as always, and I’ll definitely keep coming back—I just hope the service here matches the exceptional standard I’ve come to love at Bacio di Latte.

The most delicious Ice Cream I've ever had! Super creamy and you have to try the cup with the pistachio and nuts at the bottom! The Afagato cup with the ice cream was mind blowing! The store itself is small and there's always a love but it moves fast and it's totally worth it. Must try and will turn into your favorite ice cream place, no doubt!

Spring in LA, sun’s out, and Bacio di Latte is delivering the goods. I went choc chip + coffee, the ultimate power couple. It’s not the gelato you’d find in Italy, but it’s still pretty dreamy. Definitely worth a visit.

It was honestly the best gelato I’ve ever had in my life. I ended up trying all the different chocolate flavors and loved every single one each had its own unique taste. They never said no when I asked to sample the others and let me try everything I was curious about. I loved it so much. I was just visiting on vacation but I even checked if they ship to Chicago. Sadly, they don’t. I can’t wait for the chance to have it again! Also one of the girls working there was so sweet and answered all of my questions. I don’t remember her name but I really want to say thank you!

Some of the creamiest and most decadent gelatos I’ve ever tasted. I tried their affogato. it was a balanced blend of rich espresso and sweet gelato. It was my first time at a Bacio di Latte, the servers were friendly and offered suggestions and taste tests.

This place was lovely and their gelato was top notch. The interior is warm and inviting and the staff friendly and eager to have us try flavors. Speaking of flavors, my goodness was their gelato smooth and creamy! The pistachio really captured the taste of the nuts! We were all raving about the taste and texture. The prices were a bit high, but justified by the location, product and experience. Parking can be challenging, but we were able to find some paid street parking around the corner from the shop.

the incredibly creamy gelato at bacio di latte consistently delivers a one-two combo of fantastic flavor and spectacular texture. while every flavor variation of pistachio that they offer is a delight, their buttercream pretzel is my absolute favorite! do not sleep on this flavor!!! it perfectly balances sweet and salty while also delivering a bit of crunch from the actual pretzel bits enveloped in the gelato! while one scoop of the gelato costs a pretty penny, it is quite enough to satiate two adults. i think two scoops of such rich flavors runs the risk of becoming too intense for one individual!

I've been here a few times now. The portion size of your cone really depends on who serves it. There's no consistency to the size and they don't weigh anything. It's a guessing game ! Tonight this young lady helped me and it was so absorbently small for $12.25 for a single waffle cone. At least give people what they pay for! The amount of gelato that was in my cone was pathetic. In addition, the cone didn't taste very fresh. Only time will tell if I ever come back?

This is, hands down, among the best gelato I've had in Los Angeles. I do not know what makes this specific location special, but the gelato is a tier above Bacio di Latte's other locations. I ordered the pistachio and hazelnut and I'll soon be back. As a warning, the line is long; be prepared to wait. However, do not let this stand in the way of savoring this most delicious gelato. An upside, is they have a nice patio with several places to sit out front where you can people watch as you enjoy your gelato. Highly recommend coming here!

Prices are $$$ for a small cup I had two scoops (very small) for $9.50 with a waffle chip included. quality is very close to gelato in Rome. They have may flavors and seasonal flavors for fall too. Very cute inside, outdoor / patio seating with onesie down take inside and countertops - no stools. Samples are available to try, staff are friendly and patient - it's hard to choose when there's many options.

One of the best gelatos in LA! Great texture in each and everyone one of the flavors! There are also many different flavors to choose from! The decor is new and nice! I love that you can also sample many flavors before choosing the flavor you would like! So many flavors to choose from but I like the unique flavor of matcha x pistachio!!!! Delicious!!!

First time here and wow. I tried their pistachio w raspberry and both were so many. Pistachio being the creamy choice and the raspberry as the fruity. Pistachio is one of their popular flavor this one is a must get if you like pistachio! Service was really good. Ambiance is super bougee, nice and clean. They also have restroom customers and outdoor seating. Will def be back to try all their other amazing flavors.

Asked me what I usually like and recommended me a few. This place is located in heart of Sawtelle. Parking could be challenging as usual. I ate dinner at close by restaurant so wasn't really problem for me. After having some bad experience in other locations I was a bit hesitant to try this one but my experience was very pleasant here. They have nice outdoor seating area and good to hang out with friends. Highly recommended and I will definitely be back.

Love that Bacio opened in Sawtelle! Bacio is famous for its gelato and I wish there was a way I can eat all flavors because every flavor I've tried so far has been so delicious! Even the presentation of the gelato itself looks so good and tempting. To top it off, the service is also pretty good. The workers always seem to want to give you samples for you to taste, and they are happy to help with anything!

My go-to shop for dessert! There are a lot of ice cream options on Sawtelle, but I prefer the gelato here at Bacio. Lots of flavors to choose from, and the gelato is so rich and creamy. The staff are friendly and generous with free samples. The store is also very clean and spacious with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. You can buy pre-packaged pints to-go, and they have other items besides gelato (cookies, brownies, coffee drinks). Highly recommend if you're in the area.

The Baseline: The Ice Cream/Gelato Baseline consists of having quality dairy product, variety of flavors/mix-ins, and serving quantity for the price. Handles goes over the baseline on all marks. Food: Got a regular with three flavors today (coffee/peanut butter/chocolate types) and it was creamy and good. Service: Fast, friendly, efficient service today. Ambiance: It feels comforting in the store like I am walking into an Italian high end cafe. Love the decor.

Bacio di Latte is a place I've often walked by - and skipped over because of my dislike of very sweet sweets. However, I was finally roped into trying it out; their samples made it easier to pick between... their two Pistachio flavors: Pistacchio and Mousse di Pistacchio. While it was a tough decision, I eventually went with the Mousse di Pistacchio since it had pistacchio bits in there; I'm a fan of nuts, what can I say? The mousse version was indeed sweeter, which I wanted to avoid, but I couldn't avoid the temptation. The pistacchio, though, was creamier and a crowd favorite. Either way, couldn't be disappointed. Had I not known one or the other existed, I'd still be a happy camper. Cup or cone? I chose the cone version. While it ended up being a sticky mess like my usual ice cream cone munches, my mouth enjoyed finally trying Bacio di Latte though my wallet might not have... because I plan to return!

The ice cream is rich in flavor, and idk it just has a QUALITY taste to it!! I can't explain it, but I can confidently say we found our favorite ice cream spot here in LA. The staff were patient and kind in letting us try out different flavors, and man if I could, I'd get so many different scoops! A regular cup is quite small, and it can have one full scoop or two half scoops. The decor is so nice, and there's even a small fridge with pints of ice cream if you want to take some home! They also make affogatos and lattes, which I will definitely try during our next visit! There's no seating inside, but plenty of shaded seating outside. Parking is metered or residential with a short walk.

I tasted about six flavors and embarrassing amount, the person who was helping me showed no sign of bulking at my indecision, which I really appreciated. I wasn't a huge fan of the non-fruity flavors here as far as sorbet, but I ended up with the strawberry and raspberry and each bite was delectable. Thank you for the friendly service really enjoyed my dessert.

Awesome addition to Sawtelle area! My friends and I were looking for a sweet treat after we had dinner down the street. We popped into this newly opened location welcomed by the friendly staff. Atmosphere is clean, modern, and bright. I've been to the Bacio di Latte in Newport Beach and had a great experience there with their tasty gelato. In the night of our visit to this Sawtelle location, the weather was cold so I wasn't planning on ordering dessert. Then I noticed in the baked goods case a Vegan Triple Chocolate Loaf. I couldn't resist! The gal behind the counter gave be the biggest piece! Bacio di Latte is delightful. From the aesthetic and decor, down to the star of the show - Gelato! It has been on my list for some time now. My friend was having a mad craving and insisted that we go, since we were in the area last Friday night. I had 2 scoops of the nutellina & the caramello salato, with a lining of nutella and pistachios in the cup. It superseded my expectations. So rich but light at the same time. 10/10, would recommend. I most definitely will return.

I have now been to three different their locations and this one is probably my favorite. The service here was great and the gelato as always is amazing. I was a little disappointed to find out that my favorite flavor is no longer being served at the last location I went to, but that does not change the fact that the gelato is still top notch. This location was my favorite because the people were so friendly and the ambience inside and outside was really nice. Even with my favorite flavor gone I will definitely be back because I love gelato and this place always delivers.

I got a Piccolo (small) size, which allows up to 2 flavors ($7.45), and added a Waffle Chip ($0.85). On a previous visit, I got the Piccolo with Pistachio Cream lining the cup ($8.95). Total cost without the lining came to $8.30, and with the lining, it was $9.80. They're generous with samples, and the flavor selection is diverse. This time, I chose the plain Bacio di Latte sweet cream and the special flavor Buttercream Pretzel. They are both delicious! I have also tried the Pistacchio, Mousse di Pistacchio, Yogurt Bianco, Crema & Biscotti (cookies & cream), Fragola (strawberry sorbet) and Caffè & Caramellatte (coffee & caramel) - some as samples, and some from my friends' orders. The gelato is truly delicious - very creamy and rich, with great flavor across the board. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is quite expensive for the portion size. But the quality is undoubtedly high. Service is friendly. They offer samples and take the time to explain flavors. There's a small outdoor seating area, and lots of street parking nearby.

Really nice variety of 20 flavors. Every flavor is pretty delicious and comes with options to have either a cone or a cup, either of which can be coded in a Nutella or pistachio cream. All the flavors are delicious and some are subtle variants of one another to dial-in for each individual pallet. I really enjoyed it. There is a nice patio out front to sit and enjoy your ice cream - in this heat, it won't make it home! Very fast service too, especially right before closing time.

Delicious on a hot day. There's a parking lot in the back. Sometimes it's full sometimes there's valet. Otherwise look for street parking. The staff members are really nice and will let you sample flavors. There's seating outside if you want to sit and eat.

Stopped in on the way to Sonoritas and was helped by Vicente. He was so nice and let us sample the new chocolate mousse flavor. The shop is clean and inviting. The gelato - deeeeelicious! Still some of the best, most decadent gelato around! We will be back for sure.

The matcha pistachio (sawtelle special) gelato is bomb. Tho a small portion for the cost, it is def shareable because of the rich flavor (have water on hand!) Texture is on point. Came towards closing, which worked out because the line is the shortest. Otherwise expect a line that wraps out the door on a Saturday. Freshly made waffle cone was aight. Not too sweet, but not as crunchy as I would expect.

So glad they opened up a store in Sawtelle! Gelato is SO creamy. Lots of flavors to choose from, with sorbets available as well. There is certainly something for everyone! My favorite was the strawberry cheesecake and my boyfriend likes the cookies and cream. You can also get it coated with Nutella or a pistachio cream. Outdoor seating only. Staff were very kind and they do give samples! Minus half a star because it's pretty pricey for gelato, but on par with other dessert spots on this street. Check them out!!

How lucky could I be to be in the area for their pre-grand opening! I was eating lunch next door and wanted some ice cream for dessert. They were doing their pre-grand opening for friends & family, but they let in folks from the general public for free ice cream! How could I say no to that?! The interior feels quite glamorous! It's such a nice interior, only to be supplemented by the amazing gelato selection! So many amazing flavors such as strawberry cheesecake, hazelnut & chocolate, tiramisu, açaí & white chocolate, and many more!! The staff were incredibly nice and friendly, and allowed us to sample a vast number of flavors. In the very end, I ended up with a double scoop of Tiramisu and Black Sesame with Oreo. My goodness, the gelato is so smooth and creamy!! You can really see the smoothness of it when they scoop it out of the tub. I got it on a waffle cone that was freshly dipped in Nutella and lined with hazelnuts. Absolutely fantastic all around. I was super lucky to get it for free, but you bet I'll be paying a lot whenever I'm in town! Such fantastic quality gelato with such friendly staff!

So happy to see this spot at Sawtelle! One of my favorite ice cream places--always a pleasure. At Century City Mall, the struggle was choosing between Hokey Pokey and Bacio di Latte... Now it's Somi Somi vs. Bacio. What a sweet life.

Yet another outstanding branch towards the Northern end of Sawtelle Japantown, all the usual derricious suspects are available. I'd heard about a Sawtelle-specific matcha flavor, but didn't see it on my recent visit. For anyone new to Bacio, their best flavors include 3 Cioccolati, Pistacchio, and Crema di Torino, along with Cioccolati Belga and Giandujotto. Some of the newer flavors like the Strawberry Cheesecake and Salted Caramel Cheesecake are also tasty, just a bit on the sweet side for my preference. Regardless, BDL stands as my favorite gelato outside of Italy.

Came here on a Friday night and it was super busy! 5/5 stars for the patient and attentive employees as customers tried different flavors. All the flavors I tried were soooo delicious and creamy, but I decided on the pistaccio mousse and strawberry cheesecake! The pistachio mousse had chunks of mousse that made it extra creamy and pistachios for a nice crunch. The strawberry cheesecake had bits of strawberry and graham cracker swirled in!

The cookies & cream flavor was so good. Very creamy! The cookie pieces were more blended in- they were not in discrete chunks. My daughter loved the peach flavor.

Staff are very welcoming and nice. Love the ambience here. Relaxing modern vibes. Everything is very clean. Delicious pistachios latte.

The newest addition to the Sawtelle collection of amazing places to eat is this Awesome gelato shop. Love the affogato here specially with the Mousse Pistachio! But what makes me comeback all the time is the chocolate chip cookie! Omg - it's just next level good!

This is officially my favorite gelato spot now. I first tried their gelato at their new Calabasas location and loved it, so I decided to stop by this location while I was in the area. The gelato tasted just as good, and the overall experience was even better. The store here is bigger, and the seating area is much nicer, which made it more enjoyable. I loved all the flavors I tried. If you're a fan of dark chocolate and Nutella, I highly recommend the Cioccolato Belga and Crema Tortino. Both were rich and delicious. The matcha drinks they have weren't bad either, just not my personal favorite, so I probably wouldn't get those again. I also really recommend their pastries!! My sister loved their pecan Pie Bar and I really loved their Oatmeal Lace!!! Everything is on the pricier side, but definitely worth it as a once in a while treat. I'll definitely be coming back. Staff at this location is so sweet!! :)

I'm not a fan of gelato ice cream but this place is exceptional good. Flavor and texture is different from other gelato place that I tried mad didn't like. It was no too too sweet or to much gelato. It was good blend of flavor. Service was good and friendly place. Inside was clean and well lighted.

New gelato spot in Sawtelle with outdoor seating and delicious gelato! We tried different flavors and I decided on salted caramel with a waffle cone. The salted caramel has actual chunks of caramel which added a great texture to every other bite. I'd skip on the waffle cone next time -- it's weirdly chewy instead of a standard crunch and I don't prefer that. Anyways, this is a great spot and I'd totally come back!

I had the best time here! Please try the New seasonal one! Each Bacio Member was kind and prompt. The area always has a great aroma of fresh vanilla and toasted waffle. The design of the waiting area is neat and modern! Always go here when im in sawtelle.

Sweet treats added to the end of a nice meal. We had a very chocolate cake and a smashed oatmeal cookie sandwich . Both were pretty good. We got there just before closing. I would like to try some of their other treats when they first open. BB

This place is delicious!! Strawberry cheesecake and the milk chocolate were perfect. Service is very friendly and they let you taste a bunch of different flavors! Cute outside season too.

Enjoyed their FREE piccolo cup or cone day on Friday March 21st, to support Make March Matter Campaign benefiting LA's Children Hospital, where every dollar donated was matched by Bacio di Latte. They are introducing exclusive flavors only at Sawtelle like Matcha, Pistachio & White Chocolate with Raspberries and Black Sesame Cream with Crunchy Cookies. I have not tried them but they sound great! I'm quite surprised that they chose Sawtelle as a location. Doesn't seem to fit the price range of the rest of the desert shops. I've been to other several locations and Sawtelle will be my closest one. While on the pricier side, there is no substitute to the quality. Every gelato made in house. My favs are anything with pistachio or chocolate and there are several. While it won't be my go to gelato every weekend, this gelato will be my special treat because of its price.

I LOVE Bacio di Latte. Some of the best ice cream in LA! Every flavor is delicious. You can tell every ice cream is made with love, skill, fresh ingredients, and intention. The employees are also very nice but seating is outdoor and sparse. You also may have to wait but it's worth it. Come stop by here for your sweet treat after dinner on Sawtelle.

Absolutely AMAZING! I came here for the family friends event to try a bunch of different flavors and it was AMZING! Annie and Briana were also helpful, sweet, and patient. I would absolutely come back just for the costumer service. The shop is adorable as well, great vibes and ambiance!! I will absolutely come back. Hazelnut flavor is so good!

First time going here tonight from my friend's rec and loved it! Sampled a bunch of flavors and really enjoyed them all, but ended up with the straciatella and cherry flavor. Katie was phenomenal, patient, and super kind with us as we were newbies here, and she really made our experience! The entire staff was honestly so kind. Can't wait to come back!

My kid had the Salted Caramel, and he is allergic to nuts! They should've had an allergen statement saying it has hazelnut. Even their QR code menu doesn't have allergens listed. For as high-end as this place looks, you'd think they'd have food safety the basics down.

I just got maple cashew and it was amazing. however, not only the flavor was amazing, Ivy, who served me the gelato was very sweet, kind and patient with me as I tried out all the flavors. She deserves a raise. Overall, I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

All I can say is I have never had a bad flavor, and I come around to try the special flavors pretty regularly. Staff are always patient about samples even on a busy night! This location also has a decent amount of outdoor seating.

Had the best gelato I've ever had! The customer service and ambience is just as awesome. We found our new favorite gelato place and new favorite flavors. We got 4 different flavors: * Mousse di pistacchio * 3 Cioccolati * Crema Torino * Tiramisu 3 Cioccolati is our favorite of the 4. Super decadent without being too sweet Mousse di pistacchio is a close 2nd. Brianna tended to my husband and I to get some taste testing going before making an order and she is literally the best So shout-out to her for doing a great job!

Great gelato- I had buttercream pretzel. Strawberry shortcake, and chocolate mousse- All excellent- among the best gelato I've had in the US. Service was also very helpful.

Got ice cream and espresso with the wife last night. Loved this new place and shoutout to Annie for great service. The espresso is great and the presentation is on point. It also came with a little side of sweet cream on the side.
