Freshness Is the Focus in This Sustainable Florida Food Scene

"A south-end combination knickknack shop and refreshment stop where a casually made wild berry smoothie—prepared by Travis Keith and served with a pasta straw—illustrates the shop’s low-key, sustainable sensibility. It’s the kind of local pit stop that blends small retail finds with thoughtful, eco-conscious service geared to island visitors." - Wendy Pramik

Google
Back Alley is a place to try. Super cute coffee/wine bar. Where the back has merchandise for purchase. Though they may seem packed, they spin out drinks pretty quickly. Just be a smidge patient. That said, the service overall is very polite. I went for coffee and then a couple hours later when back for a gluten free coffee cake and the worker (maybe owner(?)) remembered me. Give it a try and support local!

Google
Very good cup of coffee and gluten-free cakes! Service here was wonderful. We enjoyed getting our breakfast and walking over to the pier to sit, but there was also seating right outside of this place. I was also really happy with the store which had reasonably priced items that came in handy (like slippers...didn't think to bring any, but the hard, cold floors in the place we stayed made it a very worthwhile purchase).

Back Alley Treasure is a hidden gem in Anna Maria Island! Super friendly people, beautiful beach-themed decor, and such a cozy vibe. Great coffee, cool gifts, and the perfect spot to relax before or after the beach. Loved

Google
Super cute local place! I never leave reviews but felt compelled to do so because it was just that great! We stopped in for coffee and this was the perfect place to do so. Warm, people with amazing coffee and tons of options to choose from. Cute shop to browse while you wait.

Google
This cute little coffee shop and store is so good. I’ve been the last two morning and got a mocha latte. The coffee is so fresh tasting and my kiddos loved playing on the old school pac man machine. I love that they have gluten free options too. Coffee crumb cake, carrot cake and key lime pie gluten free desserts. A must go every time we are here now. 😃

Google
Excellent cappuccino, espresso, chai latte half sweet. However I asked for no foam and I think they forgot. It will not detour me from going back. As the coffee was amazing. They treat you like family. Even bought one of there all natural made hand cream. Smells fantastic. Will definitely recommend them.

Really unique spot on Brisge Street that could easily be missed. so we are happy we didn't. Great muffins and the coffee was delicious.

Google
So this was a staple stop every morning for us on our beach vacation. They had a really smooth cold brew with some delicious cold foam. Must have for beach mornings. Shop is cute, has some knicknacks. But be careful when selecting a 6 pack if you do. Portion of the drinks had THC in them and I get drug tested for my career field so double check.

Yelp
I stopped in for a coffee and was met with friendly service. The coffee bar area also serves beer and wine for later in the day, and the vibe is quirky and art filled beach house with lots of colors and textures. I had an iced latte with their house made cold-foam (really good!) and a small lime cake. The small pastries and cakes are homemade and delicious. I went back in after enjoying my coffee and cake on their outdoor porch and did some shopping. The gift shop is just as fun and I bought a small travel sized sunscreen. Great spot! Delicious coffee and cake and great little gift shop.

Yelp
What a unique concept!!!! Coffee, wine, beer, smoothies, boozy smoothies, snacks, boutique items for sale; omg what a glorious place. The gentlemen behind the counter warmed my soul. Great conversation and suggestions. Friendly atmosphere and perfect location.

Yelp
Coffee is absolutely delicious. Cute market within the store. The barista was great and very nice to talk to!

Yelp
My favorite coffee shop on the island I started my mornings with a short beach walk to the coffee shop, and the service was fast and the coffee was tasty. My favorite part are their straws - pieces of pasta noodles! A sustainable touch that is much appreciated when you're that close to the water.

Yelp
super cute place! they had all kinds of drinks ranging from coffees/teas, to smoothies to alcohol, and they had some pastries as well. right down the street from the pier and across from the beach. service was super good any time i went. further back in the store they have a bunch of knick knacks and such too! today i got the coconut colada smoothie and it was delicious

Yelp
Wonderful, wonderful experience at Back Alley Treasures yesterday evening! I had originally stopped here for hunting down some local pieces of art but ended up staying and getting so much more! Scott's charm and service was delightful, and his drinks were always perfect! ( I suggest a raspberry matcha if you need a post-beach pick me up!) Scott even sells some beautiful jewelry within the store, please check it out! Beautiful atmosphere, with home like charm, please check this place out!

Jenny K.

Yelp
Coffee was fine. Syrups are not homemade which I prefer. No where to sit is a drawback for sure. It's a gift shop where they serve coffee.

Jen J.

Yelp
Delicious chai latte and cute shop. Lots of choices but it can get a little congested in there. Would definitely go again! Owners seemed super friendly

Cin V.

Yelp
Best coffee & Arnold Palmer on AMI. And the service from Scott & Tammie cannot be beat. Fast, friendly & fabulous. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Today we are on vacation on AMI and experiencing the storm surge. Lots of rain, big waves and some flooding. 90% of the businesses on the island are closed. We were so thankful to fine Back Alley open for our morning coffee and treats. We completely understand why businesses shut down during conditions like this, but are incredibly grateful to the team at Back Alley for being open for those of us on vacation who are still looking for a place to get some sustenance and do some shopping. This is a great small business. Please stop by and support them if you are in the area!

Alia Y.

Yelp
Absolutely the best place for coffee and drinks in Bradenton Beach. The owners and staff are friendly and very accommodating. Definitely, worth stopping in!

Addie K.

Yelp
Seriously the worst coffee i have ever had, threw it out. Also Server was not very kind.

Yelp
This is a shop first and coffee bar second for sure. Very cute shop but on the expensive side I bought a generic magnet for $6.50. I loved a pair of earrings but the were $50 and not what I was willing to pay. It does have some neat unique Bradenton Beach items. The coffee was good and reasonably priced. I ordered a double iced white chocolate latte with a shot of raspberry and it was $6. They even have some alcoholic coffee options which I thought was a fun idea we were just driving home so I didn't try one. There are some tables outside to sit at under a covered walkway.

Yelp
Very nice staff and very good coffee! We stayed near this establishment and enjoyed our morning coffee here. Super close to the beach too!

Darlene W.

Yelp
I love this place. Coffee is amazing and got nice cool things in store. But coffee and chai teas 10/10

Yelp
Get a coffee and browse the goodies!! Great spot with outdoor seating. Love the variety of items in the shop and have bought several gifts here.
google avatar

Yelp
One of my favorite shops on the island. We have come in for coffee several times and always love shopping the little store while we wait. It does open a bit late for a coffee spot but is the best spot near Bridge Tender. Big fan.

Austin B.

Yelp
I have been coming here for about 6 years. The staff, the owners - just amazing. Feels like home when you come visit. Try the wine flights, talk to the folks behind the bar and you won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Andres L.

Yelp
Amazing little spot to get your beach day started right. Excellent coffee and smoothies and such a friendly staff.
google avatar

Lynnette G.

Yelp
I stopped here for coffee every day that I was in Anna Maria. Quaint, sweet little place with adorable trinkets and wonderful people. Everyone was so nice! This was probably the only place on the island I felt at home. I also brought some great earrings and stickers- probably could have left with a truckload more but I contained myself. Don't sleep on this treasure!
google avatar

Katy J.

Yelp
Always our must go to coffee shop while in FL! There's a lot of different flavors, all delicious. No additional charge for milk alternatives, which is refreshing to see. Friendly staff. Cute vibe.
google avatar

Molly Z.

Yelp
We were so happy to have a coffee shop to walk to most mornings while we were visiting AMI! I tried an iced chai latte, cold brew and strawberry banana smoothie. All were great! I really enjoyed the cold brew and appreciated their milk alternatives. I also had a chocolate muffin one morning and they offered to warm it up. It was moist and had great flavor. The same man was working all of the mornings I went and he was super friendly and make my drinks very quickly. My husband appreciated the couple outdoor tables they had so he could take his laptop and answer some emails for work. I didn't check out the trinkets and gifts here but there appeared to be a nice variety. Check this place out!

Yelp
Highly recommend the white mocha blended frappe & the mocha latte! Great vibe & the best service. The muffins are huge & taste fantastic as well. This is our new go to spot.

Yelp
Overall: Came in for just coffee so rating is based on this and not the treasures. Best coffee so far on Island. Drink: 4.5 stars- Iced French vanilla latte was fresh, strong and tasty. Roasted beans came from locally sourced location making them fresh. Service: 3.5 stars- Welcomed upon entry and assisted with selection. She ensured all the choices were made (e.g vanilla, French vanilla, sugar free vanilla). Environment: 4 stars- Location of business is in a Key West feel and look shopping area. Nice clean location inside of a shop.

Yelp
People kind of rude. Not impressed. Food and drinks we had tasted yummy though. Smile! You might not know who needs it!
google avatar

Christina P.

Yelp
My husband found this coffee shop the first day we were visiting. We returned every morning after for iced mochas. Great coffee!

Nicole C.

Yelp
I've been down here twice now and I love going to Back Alley first thing for my coffee. Love everything about it, the atmosphere, the energy, the coffee, the shop. Absolutely love it!
google avatar

Luke K.

Yelp
Very nice barista! I had a small house blend coffee but this place has a lot more to offer. Wine, beer, coffee and much more. Exceptional place to stop

Jill N.

Yelp
Excellent coffee and many other drinks. Check out the cookies as well. Lots of souvenir choices. Owners are great.

Jessica H.

Yelp
Cute little shop with great coffee drinks, wine, and adult beverages. A few indoor and outdoor seats. Close to several other downtown shops.

Yelp
Suuuuuuuper great shop. Lots and lots of treasures to be hold. Very good atmosphere too. And did I mention the great happy hour 5-8. 2$ 3$ and 4$. Wiiiiiine and beer. Don't miss this while visiting Holmes beach Annna marie or longboat key !

Yelp
Had. some great coffees and tasty bagel and muffin for breakfast. Lots of cool decorative items in the store.
google avatar

Katie R.

Yelp
We heard about this from Yelp and COULD NOT HAVE LOVED IT MORE. It's quirky, cute, laid back, and wine flights to enjoy with a side plate of cheese and crisps! The items for sale are ALSO super cute and fun. Definitely recommend and the lady at the bar doing wine flights was very helpful with answering questions and offering suggestions.

Yelp
go to coffee shop in bradenton beach area!! friendly staff, normal prices, and good coffee! offer milk alternatives and lots of flavor add in options. we visited daily and got the cold press, dirty chai, and iced oat milk lavendar latte. start a punch card if you plan to go multiple times during your stay!
google avatar

TJ S.

Yelp
Well this place truly was a great find. After watching Goonies I didnt knowing we were going to find one eye wilies treasure while here on vacation but meeting Tammy at the Back Alley sure made our night. We tried nearly a dozen local beer and the 5 to 8 happy hour was wonderful considering how packed this area can become. You get to shop for a few local treasures while enjoying happy hour at the same time.
google avatar

Chloe R.

Yelp
everything there is amazing! such a cute little shop too! love that it has multiple milk choices as well. whether your getting iced coffee or a smoothie this place is great!

M A G G I E L.

Yelp
Great coffee and great service. Reasonable pricing and amazing workers. Super good coffee!
google avatar

Samantha B.

Yelp
I was excepting a cute coffee shop with more option on bakery. It was mainly a personalize gift shop with coffee for sale. The coffee was ok but then again I like sweet flavor coffee if you enjoy the strong type of coffee they make it like that. The muffin was the only thing I really liked. I had the banana bread muffin.

Anuradha Y.

Yelp
Very cute and very interesting place on Bridgestreet. Lots of lovely trinkets and clothes and a really sweet bar. Enjoyed my mango smoothie. Fresh and wholesome.

Yelp
Great selection of craft beer in cans. Also some nice wines and a great cup of coffee. Fun part, its a little bar in the front end of a nice little beach treasure shop.

Meghan C.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick beer! Stayed and tried a few local beers! Tammy was so personable and helpful! She gave us some great food ideas and places to go! Can't wait to go back for Happy Hour!!

Emme P.

Yelp
I always search Yelp when exploring a new town to find the best local coffee shops around. This was the first coffee shop I walked to just a little south of Anna Maria. From the reviews, I had high expectations. It is a cute little shop, and I was helped right when I walked in. I ordered a 16 oz vanilla latte with skim milk and sugar-free syrup. It was a little under $6 and it was just okay. Not good, not bad, just okay. I was disappointed because I really wanted this coffee to be my go-to while staying on Anna Maria, unfortunately, I will not be returning. It was a waste of money.
google avatar

Olivia H.

Yelp
Very cute shop! I loved all of the cool finds and jewelry. I also had an iced latte and it was very delicious. Nice place to stop in and shop. Not too much seating though.
google avatar

Clyde P.

Yelp
Treasures, indeed! This place has a really neat collection of eclectic goodies and cool local items. It's a sneaky good place to grab a coffee or latte on the island too.
google avatar

Sharon S.

Yelp
Made a quick stop in here on the way to a morning beachstagram trip on the island - and I mean quick. I love a good hideaway like this place and wanted to like it even more. They had some cute beachy treasures that you would expect to find on your trip to the gulf coast. The coffee was the right temperature but the greeting was a bit cold. I wanted to know about this spot and the wine being a wine lover myself. I will be back to spend a little more time here soon. I gave it four stars instead of three because it has all my favorite things ; cute stuff, coffee and wine (not to mention the adorable cat face logo thing)
google avatar

Agnieszka K.

Yelp
It is really funny when I explain people where they can drink a good coffee on the Island :P cute, cute place
google avatar

Madissen C.

Yelp
Service was pretty good! I had plain cold brew which was good and my mom had an iced vanilla latte which also had a nice flavor. We picked up two lattes on the way out for the boys and they enjoyed them. Pleasantly surprised, I come from a city that places high value on good coffee, so I didn't expect much. But, overall experience was good, coffee was made well! Probably the best coffee on the island and I'll be back for sure.
google avatar

Lindsay V.

Yelp
Such a cute little place! It's a little jumble of things such as a cafe, wine bar, and art shop, but it works. Also, I can really appreciate a place that plays Jack Johnson as their background music. M and I came in with a dire need for a coffee fix. M got a large homebrewed coffee and I got a double shot vanilla latte. The total came to around 7 or 8 dollars. M is a coffee snob and was a fan of his. I'm less of a coffee snob but still appreciate a good brew and was a big fan of my latte. Can't wait to come back and try a boozy smoothie and a slice of pie!
