2nd time at this place. 1st time with my daughter service was slow, but no big deal. Did notice that a lot of the help and customers knew each other and those customers got most of the attention, but okay. Place has a cool vibe, good live music.
So today, I go in by myself. Service is good at first, get a beer. Then, I sit there for 30 minutes, my glass is empty and want another beer but ignored as waitress takes care of other tables and ignores me. I think, okay she'll find me. Same deal as 1st time, a lot of the people in here and the help seem to know each other. Another 45 minutes, completely ignored. Could have been a fly on the wall, but the fly might have been served first. Finally, I manage to flag down a different waitress from the one that served me. Advise her I want to leave, please bring my tab for one beer. She tells me she will figure it out. About 5 minutes later, she comes back to ask if I gave them a credit card (I did). She says she knows which one it is. I expect her back in a minute or two, but this drags on for another 5+ minutes. She finally returns with my card and announces "here you go", saying nothing about this crazy lousy service and extended delay. Felt totally disrespected, like they didn't want me there.
Oh, and they don't tell you, but they charge an extra fee for using a credit card. Not the 2%-3% that it actually costs them, but more than 20% added to my tab. I owned a local business for the past 10 years. I never charged my customers extra for paying by credit card. It is the 21st century last I checked. I do recognize some small businesses impose a credit card fee, but not excessive and most do let you know before charging. Not acceptable.
Can you guess I'm angry? To the owner: You've got a cool business, but figure this out, no excuse for service like this. Treat every customer with respect.
