Yelp
Back Dough falls in line with basically every Tim Love experience I've had.
Some things are good, and some things just aren't.
Getting donuts here is a Russian roulette for me, because most times they're just not that good for the price.
Donuts are always good, don't get me wrong.
But if Hypnotic Donuts was open this late, I'd be more inclined to put down $4 for a donut there.
The dough here is pretty dense, but not cake donut dense.
These donuts are also pretty difficult to eat with just your hands on a street corner, so buckle up.
I've had a few donuts that I've adored, specifically the filet mignon beef stew and the creamsicle.
But otherwise, just like most of the food I've experienced from Tim Love, there's just something missing.
A minor frustration worth noting, nearly every chocolate donut variety I've had from here has basically just been a donut with chocolate pudding.
I love chocolate pudding, but the fancy titles build up different expectations.
Despite my meh feeling towards Back Dough, I still find myself throwing money at them quite frequently.
That might have more to do with the late night boozy hungers though.
