Backyard Bagel - Review - Laurelhurst - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Good news for early risers in Laurelhurst—Backyard Bagels’ second shop is finally open. There might be long lines to start, but these are bagels worth waiting for. Load up on a dozen everythingbagelswith a few tubs of schmear or go the sandwich route." - Kayla Sager-Riley

Backyard Bagel - Review - University District - Seattle - The Infatuation

"One of Seattle’s best bagel shops is readying a second location near University Village. Backyard Bagel made a name for itself in Fremont for their crackly beauties, solid schmears, and great coffee. Their new place will compete with the likes of Hey Bagel for U Village breakfast supremacy. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Gabe Guarente

First time here and loved it! I took home an egg, bacon sandwich on an onion bagel and an everything with spicy scallion cream cheese. Both tasted great even after a short drive. Lots of choices and wow, the bagels were very flavorful! I was there around 10:15am on a Sunday and it was pretty busy but the line moved fast. Would definitely come back. We love our bagels and in NE Seattle it’s awesome to have Backyard Bagel to go to now.

Backyard Bagel has always been, and will always be, my favorite bagel spot in Seattle. I was so excited to check out their new location, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was such a vibe - warm, welcoming, and perfectly laid-back. The staff was super friendly and efficient, and the food was incredible. The blondie latte was delicious, and the OG bagel (bacon, egg, and cheese) was so good. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their new menu items! 🥯✨

I stopped by the new Backyard Bagel location and wow — it did not disappoint! This spot has a fresh, welcoming vibe with that amazing “freshly baked” smell as soon as you walk in. The bagels are perfectly chewy on the inside and crisp on the outside — exactly how they should be. I tried the jalapeño cheddar bagel with cream cheese and OG breakfast sandwich, and it was easily one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The staff were super friendly, quick, and you can tell they care about what they do. It’s great to finally have a spot like this in the neighborhood. I’ll definitely be coming back (probably too often). Highly recommend!

Was really excited to try an egg and cheese bagel as those are hard to find in Seattle. My NJ family would mock me endlessly for paying 15$ for an egg and cheese bagel (something that costs around 6-8 dollars in NJ/NYC). I understand we’re on a different coast, but if you’re going to charge more than twice the price at the very least you could make sure the quality is just as good. You can see in my picture a lot of my bagel didn’t even have anything on it. At 6-8 dollars i’m ok with that but for 15?? Additionally, not sure why there isn’t a better priced option if you want to forgo meat (seems not inclusive to vegetarians/people who don’t eat pork). Only upside was the bagel itself was decent.

Delicious! Stopped in because I’ve passed it a couple of times and it was nice that there was a parking garage next door. Bagels were great, nice and soft and chewy. Got the glazer bagel (like cinnamon raisin but with some crystallized sugar on top), jalapeño cheddar with scallion cream cheese (LOVE) and the Brooklyn (lox). All great! Will be returning!

Ordered the Emerald Egg sandwich on a sesame seed bagel and an iced coffee. There were a few other people and we all got our orders really quickly. The staff were so nice and friendly. This location is super laidback.

Love their OG location and this one does not disappoint! Super fresh bagels and delicious sandwiches. My go to bagel spot in the city, so stoked to have another location to pick up my weekly bagels

Beautiful new shop in laurelhurst with even better bagels. I tried the classic (bacon, egg and cheese) on a salt bagel, and a bagel with bacon and schmear. I have no clue how they cook the egg so perfectly but I’m obsessed. Also, be sure to try the Blondie latte!
