Backyard Tap is such a great space to enjoy a good beer and chat with friends. They’re dog friendly and have a spacious yard for kids to run around. Not only do they have a great tap list, the owners and employees are so kind. If you’re in Loveland this is the place to be!

Fantastic non-alcoholic selection! Which is also so awesome to find 🙌 Also, really friendly staff and a top-notch atmosphere, especially the amazing patio with corn hole, trivia a fire pit and a food truck! (Truck was Mixed n Mashed during our visit, which we loved!)

First time here, huge outdoor space and tonight had live music. There is a taco truck parked outside until 6 pm. Outside area has lots of seating as well as a few corn hole games that are free to play. Maybe about a dozen craft beers on tap of various categories. Pizza leaves a bit to be desired but overall good place to chill.

Always a great time. Huge patio and dogs allowed on leash. Always a good truck available.

Classic live music atmosphere. Awesome selection of alcohol for a great price. Amazing for a group outing or a night out by yourself. Almost missed it when walking by, glad I didn't! Come out and enjoy a cold brew, listen to music, and kick up your feet by the bonfire.

Great outdoor area plenty of seating with umbrellas. Friendly staff and good beers on tap. Food trucks also go there. I had Georgia Boys food truck was tasty. It's a awesome chill spot!

I went to their art showcase yesterday and had a really wonderful time! They even have a decent selection of non alcoholic drinks, so that’s always nice. Plus they choose awesome food trucks for their events. If you want to do something outside and fun with a cool aesthetic, Backyard Tap is the place!

Igloo FUN! This backyard is fitted with a delicious BBQ food truck, locally crafted beer on tap and heated igloos with soft string lights. We even had a dusting of snow while there and got to enjoy being ”in” it without freezing our cold beer hands. Staff are super friendly and know when to give space too. The truck that was there was great. Their sides weren't too exciting but their smoked meat melts in your mouth. We enjoyed all of the 8 beers we tasted then had a hard time deciding which to get a full pint of. What a great delema to have! Treat yourself.

This place is solid given it's Loveland and I suppose a setup for a hip, outdoor feel. I don't drink so I appreciated that they had a number of N/A options including kombucha. I went on a weeknight so it was honestly pretty dead which I preferred for a conversation with friends. I'm sure if you're in Loveland it would make for a fun night out for whatever you may want dependent upon the night -- a fun chat, a place apparently to bring a pet, or if you just want to get completely drunk out of your mind outdoors on a Saturday evening.

If you're looking for a dog friendly place post hike to hang in Loveland- this is the place. Staff was great. Beers good. Made a good recommendation for us to order food at (Henry's!) so we could hang with our dog and not leave him out in the car. Great stop.

A friend's band was playing at the Backyard Tap so my wife and I went for the 1st time. Great spot, nice atmosphere and clean bathrooms. With the food truck we made a night of it. I'll be back.

I was so excited to find a place that welcomed my cat and I. We were looking for a place to just chill and have a drink. Backyard is also one of the few places to keep cider on tap and/or in a can at all times. 10/10 recommend if you want to chill with a drink, grab a snack from a food truck or pizza from inside.

The Clear Lighthouse Mental Health Mural Project and Fundraiser drew us down to the Backyard Tap, and WHO KNEW THAT THIS COOL LITTLE PLACE was right in the middle of downtown Loveland!?! Don't judge this book by its cover. You'll understand the name once you arrive. This unassuming building just west of Loveland's downtown area hides a treasure trove of food, fun, and drinks for all ages .... you guessed it ... in the backyard! We happened to visit while the Smokin' Classic BBQ food trailer was anchored in the backyard and offered a smokey enticement for those that didn't even know they were hungry. Kids were everywhere but underfoot as they took advantage of the ping pong, cornhole, and monkey ball court. There's even a massive Jenga game on site for those who think Jenga needs to be HUGE to be fun. I had the Chin Curtain IPA, but there's a wide variety of choice at the bar. We think of adult hang-outs when we hear about these little tap houses, but this is a landing spot for the whole family. Come here.

What a great spot! Definitely a smaller facility, but super clean and organized and brimming with delicious beverages! We decided to stop here post hike with our pups and grab some dinner (the Georgia Boys truck was there-yum!) and drinks. Since we had the dogs, we needed to sit outside-however the dining outdoors options were plentiful! Covid safety in mind, there are open tables-each with its own heater, there's also private heated igloos (no dogs please) or a huge fire pit with plenty of spaced seating around it. We opted for a table and the woman at the counter turned on our heater after making sure our table was properly sanitized. Our food and drinks were there quickly and before you knew it, we were on our way. It was a great end to the weekend and one I look forward to repeating again soon.

Best bar to hang out at in Loveland. Decent food and drink selection. Backyard is spacious, there is always something going on, live music etc. also if you get hungry there are food trucks to choose from! Always a fun time

Backyard Tap is a fun environment for friends, family, neighbors, couples and family! Phenomenal customer service! Great events and live music! I live in Michigan and would love a quaint welcoming atmosphere like this to gather all week long! Highly recommend!!!

This place is the perfect outdoor setting for an afternoon with friends or just people watching. They offer a varied selection of quality beers, other drinks, and a comfortable space. The regular food trucks and music are an excellent addition. There's nowhere else like Backyard Tap in Loveland!

We stopped here to get a stamp on our passport book before it expires, and I am really glad we did. This place is how I'd like for my backyard to be; large, open, lots of space to hang out and listen to music or talk with friends. They serve local beers on tap along with ciders. The server, Konner was friendly and nice. On days when they don't have a food truck parked outside their place, you can bring your own food and enjoy it along with their drinks. My two suggestions: 1. Get some yellow jacket traps set up along the perimeter of the place. We were constantly hounded by them while we were eating our food. 2. Get better cornhole boards and bags. If not for these two minor things, I would have given them a 5 star rating!

Love the big open space to relax in. The bar area is pretty much a trailer type structure the size of a single garage. The outdoor area is nicely spaced out with wooden benches, some with umbrellas. Help yourself to water at the water jug. They don't brew their own beer but serve up most of the popular beverages from major local breweries. Two corn hole sets to bide the time, music in the back ground. Just a nice space to relax. Bonus is you can bring your own food on days there is no food truck. Board games available at the bar. Will be back because it's such a laid back place, but then it was on a Thursday.

This place is awesome--great outdoor space, awesome service, great choice in drinks, food trucks, bands...it's like being in your own backyard but with service and music!

This is a great venue to spend a few hours with friends enjoying a good brew and when Johnny's from Longmont food truck come up with the best Chicago food. This is where I was able to get CanineCandydogbiscuits a while back during a market event as well. Everything is right about this place along with the bubbles for those not yet comfortable venturing during the transition of getting vaccines. As a relatively newby it's gems like this that makes choosing to lay roots here a go. Great service, open to families and love the vibe.

I had such a fun time tonight! There was a waffle food truck and open mic with some astounding voices. The service was incredible. You can tell they really care about their customers by enforcing masks in the taproom and walking around, and also sanitizing tables and chairs etc. I can't wait to go back and spend more time with my family. Absolutely recommend

This is my go to place here in downtown. Big open yard to hear live music, hang with the dog, food trucks in the yard so I'm not walking out to the street for my grub. The bartenders are great, always greet me and make me feel welcome and invited. The live music is an eclectic blend of amateur start ups to some really great artist. When there is no live music, the house sound system is always putting out a casual vibe and it's like having my own backyard again. The beer selections rotate often giving me so many choices depending on my mood of the day. Thanks for being great guys!

Everybody comments on the backyard of course, which is obviously why it's called backyard tap. The cool outdoor space and whatnot but I'm sorry what matters to me the most is people The staff and service at this place is atrocious! The bartenders are rude dismissive at some times even condescending and arrogant. And I wouldn't expect this place to get any better because the owner is probably the worst of all.

Warm, community feel with great variety of brews and super friendly environment. Cozy and comfortable feel inside, dog friendly, the kind of place that makes you feel glad you came and look forward to coming back. Have traveled the tap houses and breweries from Minnesota, to Colorado and the West Coast and this is in the top tier!

This is an awesome place to relax on a beautiful summer day. It has such a homey atmosphere (especially since the owner is a chicago native!). The backyard is massive, and there are bags available, testicle toss, a huge gas fire pit that has seating all around it. They have a great selection of beer to choose from and have food trucks right there. There's also plenty of seating available, inside and outside. Great addition to the town! Highly recommend giving it a try.

Definitely not a chill down-to-earth environment like many other downtown Loveland breweries, taphouses, ect. The bartender seemed really annoyed and stressed with the large crowd that the packet pickup from the Loveland Liberty 5k brought in, We were excited to check this place out but didn't even stay for a drink because of the valley-girl bartender's bad attitude! Won't be surprised or disappointed to see this place closed in a year... We'll keep taking our cash to the hometown classic spots like Verboten and Loveland Aleworks!

Backyard tap is our favorite outdoor place in Loveland. Tons of outdoor seating and umbrellas. The atmosphere is great, staff is friendly, and a variety of beers and over beverages. Sometimes they have live music and food trucks. David's our favorite bartender! They are also dog friendly.

Very cool place with great potential. The reason for 3 stars is that my wife and I went for drinks and live music on a Saturday evening and there were more kids than adults. They were running around unsupervised by parents and throwing corn hole bags everywhere, smashing ping pong balls everywhere but the table, and tackling each other on the turfed areas. Great place if you want a drink while your children play but not as welcoming for an older crowd who wants to get away from the chaos on a date night in an adult atmosphere.

Friendly staff! Great atmosphere! Our kids loved playing the games while we tasted great local beers. Will definitely be back!

This place is awesome!!! Imagine a backyard barbecue with friends you know and a bunch of interesting and cool people you don't, then combine it with a great tap room and food trucks, and you'll get the feel of this place! My wife and I have been there several times already and have had a great time every time! The first time we went, we were just going to check it out ourselves. We met the owner - awesome guy - and he introducing us to another couple. We chatted with them for a while, then hung out next to the fire pit at a cool funky table. Next time we showed up, we brought friends. The owner recognized us and chatted with us for a while. We stayed for several hours and played corn hole, had conversations, etc. Definitely recommend this place - you'll feel right at home, but better!!!
