First time axe throwing and we had a blast! We went during the day while it wasn’t busy and that was perfect! The selection of beer was limited so we just had a soda. All in all, great place to visit for the first time!

The place was nice. We thought it would have a bar but it had some weird place the girl walked us back to to get drinks. The girl Charee was not very helpful and extremely oddd. Kind of rude actually. Would not recommend due to very weird staff. Also did not honor the prices they gave us. Homeless people were camped in parking lot too.

Cherie was the best coach. We’ve had her two times now and we have seen our improvement every time. Thanks again for great clean facility (: don’t forget you can bring tour own pizza and soda.

Super fun and unique experience! I didn’t think throwing axes would be this fun. The staff was super friendly. Made the experience that much better. They were very informative and suggested games to play as well to keep the momentum going. Overall great experience. Glad I came to try it out. Will be back again.

As a real estate agent life can get stressful and time gets away from you. Last night was my first time axe throwing and had an amazing time relieving the amount of stress I have consumed. 10/10 recommend going while Kat is working, she was amazing at teaching everyone how to throw properly and matching our energy. Kat if you're seeing this you ROCK!!

Throwing axes rocks! Thoroughly enjoyed our family outing at Bad Axe Ft Worth. Kyle, our coach, was was personable and genuine. His interactions with our group were perfect and put our most nervous participants at ease. You just created 8 more axe throwing fans!

Went for the free open house. It was our first time axe throwing, it was a ton of fun. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They will teach you how to throw, and help you if you're having problems hitting the board. They don't have a huge parking lot, and it's not in the best area, lots of homeless people around. I would definitely pay to go back!

Tried this place out during their free weekend event. We did drive around a bit because there were no signs and it was hard to find because of that and the area it's in. So just a heads up, the address is right. It was currently in an unmarked building but I did let the staff know the concerns too when we went in. Apparently they are so new and just ordered signs for the business so it hadn't come in yet.. Also the area it is in is pretty shady, and there are a number of homeless people around. I came around during daylight so it wasn't as sketch to be walking around. Once we walked in we were immediately greeted by the staff and signed waivers. Then we had a lesson on how to throw the axes, along with the safety rules to follow. The whole experience was pretty fun. Staff was super friendly the whole time and joined in on the fun too. They suggested different games to play and played along as well. The building itself was a bit bigger than I was expecting. There were 12 lanes all together with wooden targets for us to throw the axes at. Overall great experience. I will come back again. Only thing I wish I could change is just the area it's in. I wouldn't want to come later in the night.

Had a blast throwing and the staff was so gracious explaining how it all works. And we played games. The axes were also easier to throw than other places. Meaning, if you've gone to another axe throwing place and were frustrated with not being able to get them to stick then come to Bad Axe. It's a totally different experience.

For being a first time axe thrower, this place went above and beyond! Our coach was very helpful and gave our group of 4 wonderful tips and games to play along the way! By the end of our time we had all got the axe to stick. They have drinks to buy both alcoholic and not. They allow you to bring in food, and I recommend this, unless you eat beforehand. Also be sure to book your lane ahead of time. We did so the same day on a Friday night and they were able to fit us in. We will definitely be back!

Super fun way to spend the afternoon. Kyle was a lot of fun. Good fun and a clean facility.

It doesn't look like much when you walk but this place is absolutely fantastic. Kyle is the most amazing host any group could ever ask for. He joined in with our group and we had such a blast. I recommend this place to anyone thank you for the great time Kyle

Very mixed feeling about this place. Are couch was mike M was ok but the other guy was better, checking on us and giving pointers to help. Couple of big things for me. NO A/C - they said that they were supposed to fix them and they only fixed the back one were there was NO ONE. It was comfortable when my party and I arrived, but soon after we got to are lane, they ( the guys working) opened the door right next to us and all the hot air out side filled the lane and it was horrible. They had a fan on us for 30 mins ( we were there 2 hours) and they moved the fan to another group that came in after us " so they got the same as us. " , but we had an 1.5 hours of heat and sweat. Another was we wanted more of the light regulation axes and there was no one in there at the start and our couch said " no it's Saturday we will get busy and we are supposed to spread them out", but we go two only and the other group behind us had hole sets. The bathrooms had no toilet paper. The other reviews say they have security for there parking and didn't see a soul. If you a mask person this place had one person wearing one. So there's that. The boards on one lane was blow out so bad the axes wouldn't stick ( very frustrating when your learning). We were told that after the wavier we would get stickers and not one person in our group one at all. I did have a good time with my party but there was just so many bad things about this place I doubt I will return to this place.

My 3 stars are because although the place is fun, very spacious, great for networking events and a different activity. They were closed the 2 times we went even though it said open on their website. We called and it sends you to a third party company that also doesn't know when they are open for sure. They have gigantic jenga and connect four for free!The staff is friendly (when they are actually there) the best part, you can bring your own alcohol!

VERY FUN! They also have good IPAs, And they walk you through step-by-step how to throw to ask to make sure that you're safe.

Our party of 4 had a great experience at Bad Axe! Coach Johnathan was very thorough, informative & great!! The lanes are divided and seperated into corners of the building, and each party gets 2 lanes to themselves with a high top table and chairs. This is awesome because you all have your own space and aren't on top of other groups. My only complaint is it seems a little pricey and the cost of canned beer is $$$. It'd be better off to bring your off than buy from them. Otherwise, I definitely recommend!

This place is a definition of a hole in the wall place. John greeted us as soon as we came in and taught us all the tips and tricks on how to successfully throw an ax. He was a great coach! We have never done it before, but by the time we left we felt like we had the hang of it! The only thing I would suggest they do different is have a sign outside showing customers where to park.

I have to be totally honest from the second we walked in, things were very unorganized and the two workers I came in contact with couldn't find my reservation. No biggie they found it. This man said he was going to be our coach for the night. He kept calling me by my last name very sternly, barking at my group and I to follow him to our area that we had booked for the night. There was a group currently there, and quickly told them their time was up and starting throwing their beer cans away!!! Very rude! Then he asked if we had filled out our waivers? We had! But he very rudely asked us to take our phones to scan this QVC square, which I replied we filled them out before, he cut me off and barked for us to take out our phones. Right then, me and my girlfriends were questioning staying! But I had already booked it and paid a deposit. So we stayed. Our coach spent 30 seconds with us to "teach" us. Throughout the night we asked if he was having a bad day or something. He said he was double booked for the night & had a few other things on his mind. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but I work with people every day all day, and I think it's very important to keep it professional at all times. Based on our experience & compared to other axe throwing places that friends that previously been too we probably won't be returning.

Fun place to relieve some stress. Had a great time! You need at least 4 people to play games and really get the full effect. They have a bar but don't serve food, however you can bring your own. Will definitely come out again!

We didn't even get out of the car. Smack in the middle of several homeless camps. One man approached my car and hollered something threatening. We weren't even sure if we had the right place to start with since there weren't any signs. Sorry guys. Free weekend was my chance to intro my wife to axe throwing. But the area and location just weren't worth it, even if it was free.

We came here for my son's 18th birthdya with a few of his friends and it was FANTASTIC!!!! Jimi was our coach and WE LOVED HER!!! She made this a great first time experience for us all. We will definitely be back and definitely be back because of Jimi!!!!

I booked a group of 10 coworkers to have a fun night throwing axes. We did have a great time, because we made sure we did. First off, it was very hard to schedule with Bad Axe. The only response to my online reservation was that they couldn't confirm it because they didn't have an instructor. They would let me know when they did. The day before our event, I still hadn't heard back from them. I called and was told they couldn't find anybody but were still looking. Then 10 minutes later, I got a call that they had suddenly found an instructor. Their location is horrible and dangerous. We went on a Sunday evening . There is a homeless mission right across the street from Bad Axe and lots of homeless people were hanging around. There were many tents set up along the street right by the location. It was very sketchy. I was told that we could not bring our own drinks because they sold them there. We arrived and were told that they had had a big event the night before and were sold out of all of their beer. They did have a few cans of soda that we could purchase. That was a big damper on our party. You'd think they could've either restocked or told us ahead of time that we could bring our own beer. Our instructor was a young woman who had brought her very small baby to work with her. She was the only employee there and told us she hadn't worked there very long. She tried her best, I'm sure, but her throwing skills were minimal and she was unable to show us how to make an ax actually stick in the wood. We paid $35.00 each for two hours. Summary: we had fun because we made it be fun. We would not return here for the reasons above and would not recommend Bad Axe. There are other ax throwing places in Fort Worth that are in safer locations, cheaper, actually have beer or let you BYOB, and have instructors who are actually good at ax throwing. Stay away.

Don't waste your money on a private lane! The place was completely empty on a Thursday night and we were charged $15 extra an hour each. Not to mention we got ripped off and charged for two hours instead of one since we got there late an hour after the group had started -- we were asked to sign a waiver and weren't told anything about what rates we'd be paying in the first place figuring the group had already reserved everything. Big surprise when we were told it'd be $75 for us - two people for one hour in an empty building. (Of course this extra cost was justified by the employee saying it was for her undivided attention for the reservation but it was really unnecessary) Had we known we would have just hung out and drank beer, especially since with as big a group as we had, each person didn't get to throw that much. In fact, I'd just go to another axe throwing place altogether and give someone else your business.
