"Bad Boyz was featured on Food Network’s Outrageous Food, and the fun menu includes dry-rubbed wings that taste like Cool Ranch Doritos. There’s even a respectable salad or two. People who finish a giant burger or survive the intensely spicy wings can win free food, a T-shirt, and glory." - Missy Frederick

Google
I came across this restaurant when I was driving from Chicago to DC! Man I was hungry and I didn't want some low quality oasis/ rest area food. So I did some Google research and found this place. The reviews don't lie. We had a great meal here and most importantly we had a good time talking and chatting with the staff.

Google
My wife said, " Probably the best Ruben I've ever had." On top of that, it is huge! She prefers horseradish to thousands island dressing. They were happy to accommodate with their spicy horseradish sauce. Spectacular! The burgers are great as well.

Google
A very cool atmosphere/theme without being overdone or tacky. Just sandwiches named after famous bad boys. James Dean, Brat Pack, Clint Eastwood etc. Very good martinis The food was very good, generous portions and reasonably priced. So much better than going to a chain. We’ll definitely be back.

Google
Passing through and chose this restaurant since it offered enough variety to please both of us. I chose the salmon with raspberry glaze along with seasoned fries (which were really, really good) and side salad. All 3 were very delicious, better than expected! My husband had the grilled chicken salad, thought it odd that fries came in the salad so he asked for them on the side. He said his salad was very good as well. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive, 5 stars all the way!

Google
My waitress Lexus was amazing she greeted myself and my son every time she came by and made sure to acknowledge my son every time and he greatly appreciated being part of the conversation. I have never had a waitress make a room glow like she has. Great job and keep it up! Side note food is ALWAYS AWESOME!

Google
Atmosphere was nice, service pretty good, but the food was really disappointing. Wife ordered the Salmon with raspberry glaze, no glaze, they were out. I ordered the 12 Oz NY strip, unseasoned and really bad quality meat. For $26 I expected more than a low grade steak.

Google
Really enjoyed stopping through Bedford and finding this spot. Kinda of hard to find but I was so happy I did. Great staff and awesome food. Opted out of doing a challenge but my waitress was kind enough to let me try the hottest sauce they offered and my god it was insanely hot. Definitely plan on stopping by here any chance I get!

Google
The service and atmosphere were top notch as a cheap little hole in the wall eatery and the menu gave us many laughs. The food was meh the wontons cold and bland as well as the fidels secret sandwhich but the hugh steak was amazing and the seasoned fries very good. Great place for a quick bite or to hang out for long periods with friends. Good local place for that small town joint feel

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch with coworkers on the road. It's not too far from the turnpike exit and nice to drive into town (street parking). It took awhile to look through the menu but only because you want to read the great descriptions. The burgers were really flavorful. The turkey and cheese on a pretzel bun was dry. Fun decor and welcoming staff. We will be back for sure.

Yelp
On our way from Lancaster to Pittsburgh area we decided to stop in Bedford for lunch. Yelp reviews helped me pick this place and I was not disappointed. Located in the city with street parking it was easy to find. Darker inside but clean and we had decent service. The menu was unique and had interested and elevated food combos. Prices were fair. I ordered a chicken sandwich on Texas toast and it was delicious. A side if house made chips were included. My friend ordered Cincinnati chili, which she said was not authentic but otherwise liked it despite its false advertising. We were both intrigued by a Creamsicle cheesecake only to be deterred by a $8.99 price tag which is surprising given the fair prices of everything else. Next time I'm in Bedford I'd definitely stop again.

Yelp
Very much enjoyed the salads that my daughter and I had as well as the potato and bacon soup. Very cute setting, good service and cute names for the food items. The only suggestion for improvement would be to add photos to the menu because it took a long time to read what each item was because they are cleverly named after a famous movies rather than the food item name. Will definitely come back again:)

Rebecca M.

Yelp
This place was very interesting. Funny menu, and I think they were mostly known for their burgers.

Yelp
We stopped here and ate as we were traveling from Virginia to Rochester, New York for the eclipse. We wanted to go to the Flight 93 Memorial so stopped for the night in Bedford. We were intrigued by the menu of Bad Boyz so we thought we would give it a try. The food was really good! My husband's burger was delicious. The atmosphere was very small town, which we love. Our waitress was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Very very happy with our choice!

Richard K.

Yelp
Cute restaurant in old historic downtown Bedford. Very clever movie theme, with plenty of cool posters on the walls. Very clever and well thought out menu, with solid food, and friendly service. Unfortunately, several of the items on the menu were not available, even though the menu teased us with many local Pennsylvania/American dishes.

Vicki K.

Yelp
We had family visiting from out of state & they were staying near by so we decided to meet them there for lunch. Food was good but I can't say the same about the service. We will not be going back there or recommending it to any of our friends. We were over charged for one meal and the answer from the staff (not the waitress, she was excellent) was we can't do anything about it, have a nice day. The person who came out from the back of the house actually tried to blame the mix up on the waitress saying she was new & didn't really know. Overall not a good experience and unless you want to take the chance of this happening to you, I don't recommend it. We did attempt to speak with the manager who was not currently there. We made two phone calls to the restaurant to speak directly to the manager we were told he wasn't in even though we had been told he would be working that day. An email sent to the managers address on the restaurant site still remains unacknowledged after several days. As previously stated the food was OK but service was not to our liking.

Paul L.

Yelp
Historic downtown atmosphere with great tasting sandwiches, large portions. Nothing bad to say about Bad Boyz

Rose V.

Yelp
Good food, fast service. Nice location. We had a quesadilla and Italian sub. Perfect.

Yelp
Great restaurant in Bedford, Pa. Only 2 miles off of the PA Turnpike, if you're on the road traveling, or will drive for food like me, this place is worth it. Big, expansive menu, a little bit of everything for everyone. An awesome, quirky menu. I got the Napoleon, Nothing short about this sandwich. You'll need both hands to eat it! Slow roasted Texas brisket served French dip style on a hoagie roll with caramelized onions, and pepperjack cheese. Au jus on the side for dippin'. A fresh hoagie roll, tender brisket, yummy melted cheese, I added my fries and Ranch dressing. Awesome sandwich, great, friendly wait staff, as Arnie said..."I'll be back!"

Paul C.

Yelp
Neat little nugget of a bistro tucked into downtown Bedford. Great food, interesting names for the dishes come from movie themes, which aligns with the decor. I had the Reuben sandwich, but forgot to take a photo until it was half gone! The rest of my party had the wings (great wings!), the taco salad (Named after Cheech and Chong, I think?), and the Pittsburgh steak salad, all good. Very reasonable prices too! Our service was very good - Taylor did a great job and didn't even write down our order!

Taylor R.

Yelp
All we wanted was a quick, satisfying meal. We decided upon this establishment based off of the seemingly positive Yelp reviews that praised them for good service and great food. I was beyond disappointed to find that the service was absolute trash, and the food was incredibly average. Our experience began when the hostess at the door was rude about our larger party number (12 people, in which we offered immediately to split up to make it easier for them). Upon being seated, we read the menu, which is extremely wordy and hard to comprehend. The most basic menu items were hard to find. The menu offers extensive paragraphs that often do not describe the item in the slightest. It took the server thirty minutes to bring us drinks, and they were 75% ice. We ordered, and then waited. When asked questions about the menu, I was able to answer more questions than our server. Thirty minutes after we had ordered, the server returned and told us she had run out of chicken tenders. THIRTY MINUTES AFTER WE ORDERED. Our food came out late to begin with, but the rest of our party was finished by the time the chicken tender-less people's food arrived. I ordered the nachos, and they were the definition of mid. It was literally Tostito chips with nacho cheese. And it took over an hour to come out. I could have made it myself. Overall, we spent THREE HOURS at this restaurant. Other parties around us got seated, served, and left frequently while we were waiting. We were excluded from a level of transparency and never apologized to for the terrible service. The families of these servers must have written these positive reviews, because we had a terrible experience. I would not come here again if a gun was being held to my head.

Addison C.

Yelp
Good food, friendly service, really cool menus. Expensive though. It was $14 for a burger

Sherry J.

Yelp
Food here is a 5 and service is a 3. We waited for 10 minutes to be seated which was fine because we were acknowledged. But once we were seated it was 15 min before our server came. It wasn't really that busy. I ordered an appletini because it was grey goose but it was warm which was weird. RJ ordered the Rebel Reuben and asked to substitute coleslaw for sauerkraut. I ordered the Tricky Dick Wrap which was chicken tenders in buffalo with Asiago cheese. We both ordered fries. It took about 30 minutes and when it finally came, no fires. We asked again for fries and Amanda said oh right I'll get them. Fries never came. I get the whole kitchen in the weeds when there isn't enough help thing, but not when it's not that busy. And it doesn't explain why we never got our fries. But the food was excellent. I saw several things on the menu I would try. I finished with a watermelon margarita which was on the rocks so it was cold and refreshing.

Yelp
Great place to eat! Good atmosphere and the food was amazing. There was so much stuff on the menu, I didn't know what to choose. There were tons of locals eating here as well, so you know the food is great. We asked the waitress for recommendations and were not unhappy at all! I was still trying to decide what to order when I heard the construction worker behind me order the "Cheech and Chong." Immediately I scanned the extensive menu to find out what that was all about! It turned out to be a delicious taco salad that is served in a homemade taco shell. I tried to eat the entire thing but couldn't. I wish I could have taken it home in a doggy bag--it was THAT good. The pretzel appetizer and beer cheese were also amazing. The waitress was super sweet. I would highly recommend!

Geneen R.

Yelp
Came here for lunch today and was seated immediately. The first issue arose when my husband and I ordered our drinks. We ordered old fashioneds, not sure what came back because they tasted like sugar water, the waitress said they use a mix. Who uses a mix to make an old fashioned? So I sent mine back and got their Black a beauty it wasn't much better it tasted like cranberry juice. We ordered our sandwiches my husband ordered the Castro and me the Tricky Dick. We waited a long time til they came out. When they finally arrived both were very cold. Castro would have thrown the sandwich in jail and Nixon would have pronounced mine a a thief Yes it was lunchtime while we were there but it was not full. There is no reason for the sandwiches and fries to be cold when served and drinks to be so sweet that they taste like sugar water. The service and food has gone down hill in the past few years. Very disappointed.

Cathy D.

Yelp
Visited here for dinner as we were traveling. It is 2 miles off I76/I70 but worth the detour! Arrived about 4PM on a Monday and quite a few tables were full but we were seated quickly. Staff hustled, but they appear to be understaffed, but other than having to wait longer than most places, it was fine...they checked on us a couple of times to ensure all was OK. And it was....we both had the Italian Stallion (cheesesteak), one had the chips the other the fries. Chips were ok...fries were tasty. Sandwiches were quite good..... not dry like one so often gets. Overall a good meal in a cute town. They do have a varied, and humorous menu and specials are written on a chalk board at the hostess stand so be sure to look! Good for families, friends, whomever wants a good, casual meal!

Lisa M.

Yelp
We stopped on our way through Bedford on the Wednesday before thanksgiving. Bedford is a very cute town! The menu is very funny to read! My husband ordered the Italian Stallion(beef with peppers and onions). And I split the tricky dicky with my daughter(Buffalo chicken wrap). Food was good and service was even better. The waitress had a large area but really hustled!! Would recommend if your passing through!

Morgan P.

Yelp
My fiancé and I stopped at this restaurant and it was very yummy. Comfort food + so delicious!! I also got a mixed drink that was very sweet and good as well. I highly recommend. I am going to post more updated pictures in my review. Because looking around today on the reviews I couldn't find any updated pictures of the menu so I thought I'd share.

Erin R.

Yelp
I'm going to split the difference here and go 2 stars. My meal was 3, my hubs was 1. We ordered: Guinness and Seasonal drafts. My only issue here was the price. $7 drafts? DC prices? In bedford? Ok. On to the food. We were looking forward to trying the wings, but at 12pm (to be fair on a Wednesday) were told the wings 'weren't ready'. I appreciate the love they put into them, but not being ready for a normal lunch time ( I would understand more if we had arrived at 11am) is odd to me. For mains, because wings were off the table, we ordered the korean wontons. They have this mislabeled because a wonton is a dumpling and these are not dumplings. They are sort of tacos topped with sauced lettuce instead of a korean topping like kimchi. The 'cincinnati chili' is also wrong. Cincinnatti chili tends to be on the sweeter side, is served over spaghetti noodles and topped with cheese. This was just blah chili over macaroni noodles and no cheese. I ordered the twisted sister sammich. They were out of the pretzel bun so I asked for a normal bun. I ended up scraping off most of my mayo, it was billed as red pepper mayo, but it was definitely regular mayo with like 4 diced pieces of a red bell pepper. After that though, i enjoyed my sammich! chopped up chicken, the cheese was melted, not too much bacon and the homemade chips were *excellent*. Last note, this part of the US is currently not masking as of 10/6/2021. Take that with whatever comfort level you have.

Yelp
We went to this restaurant as it was suggested by our hotel. It looked nice enough. It's already going downhill when it took quite a while for the waitress to show up to even get a drink order. There were three of us the in the party. We all got the paradise burger. All ordered it to be cooked medium rare. All of them came out extremely well done. All the french fries were cold. The onion straws on the burger were refrigerator cold. The burgers were supposed to have jalapeños, none did. One person ordered a martini. He described it as the worst martini he has ever had. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Carrie S.

Yelp
Bad Boys is bad! Don't believe the hype. Service was slooooow. Took 25 minutes to get a drink. Food was about 45 minutes. It arrived completely cold. Meanwhile we could hear the kitchen staff having a blast whatever they were doing (not concerned about creating some good eats). Don't bother eating there. You'll regret it.

Kris S.

Yelp
Best taco salad ever! Great little place with a really cool menu....once you see it, you'll understand! Would definitely return!!

Kathy C.

Yelp
Memorable lunch. Raises the bar for I-76 stops! Terrific service. Gorgeous pretzel roll bun with melted prov, bacon, and turkey. Great fries with touch of red pepper. Didn't expect anything at this level from a quick stop in small town Bedford. Wow!!

Chris F.

Yelp
Great menu selection, reasonable prices. Had the grilled chicken sandwich and my son had the Reuben sandwich. Food was great!

Jonathan H.

Yelp
Very nice place. Staff was great. In my opinion, great place to meet and eat.

Ada T.

Yelp
Quick stop for a bite and got the samurai salad with chicken. Simple salad but would have liked to see a grilled chicken on top instead of the frozen industrial chicken. Service was slightly lacking with the limited amount of people in the restaurant but they are socially distancing and wearing masks. The menu is hilarious!

Sandra L.

Yelp
This restaurant was featured on the Food Network for their wing challenge. It's an option when eating here, but you better like some serious heat or you can wind up on the Wall of Shame! As for the rest of the food, it's awesome! The burgers are thick and cooked to order. Very good!!! The sandwiches are delicious!! I have tried a few different ones and have not found a bad one yet. They have a lot of different options for appetizers, but if you like Nachos, I highly recommend them! They are piled high and have more than enough to feed the whole table. They offer a full bar selection and plenty of signature drinks to try. The wait staff has always been friendly and more than able to handle the large group we showed up with after a basketball tournament. Kudos to them for getting our order correct and served hot the first time. Very much appreciated!! We will all definitely be back in the near future!!

Shane P.

Yelp
Decided to try this spot traveling through town. Waited over an hour and never received an appetizer or food. After seeing others complain about wait and cold food we decided it was not worth the wait.

Taylor H.

Yelp
Delicious! A clean and well organized restaurant. Really witty & unique menu that stays true to the theme of the restaurant. But, the most important part was that the food was absolutely amazing! Quality food and really affordable. Highly recommend the "Twisted Sister". It was a turkey, cheese and bacon melt on a pretzel bun. My husband got the "Tricky Dick" and said it was also very good. Amazing house made chips too! Can't go wrong stopping here!

Heather M.

Yelp
If I was able to put zero I would. We were very excited to try this place. As we sat waiting for our food, saw four other tables come after us, get their appetizers and food, pay their bill and leave, we asked several times how much longer until our food came out. After an hour and fifteen minutes we get our food. We ask to speak to a manager. No manager available. Ok. So we ask for who is in charge. Our waitress comes back and says "we can give you a discount, that's all we're allowed to do." We ask for the person in charge...again. We are then told the head waitress is the one that told her to give us a discount. The table next to us then states they were about to offer their food to us since we waited ao long. Well the head waitress, who passed our table many times, never came to speak to us or apologize or anything. We expressed our discouragement to the waitress and she stated "if we give you any more then the owner will be mad." Well I hope the owner see's this because they need to be made aware that their head waitress is not managing anything in their place.

Tiffany H.

Yelp
I have been to the fall foliage festival several times and just this past fall tried this place. I WILL be back! First off, the menu is funny, you have to read it for its entertainment value in addition to finding your meal choice! I can't have dairy so finding good options can be tricky. I actually had several things here that sounded good, and they were able to leave off the dairy items to accommodate me. I can't wait to go back. My only complaint is that the tables for more than 4 people were bar height and I don't find it comfortable when I can't put my feet on the floor.

Lorraine C.

Yelp
A pleasant surprise in a lovely downtown location in Bedford, PA. We were traveling and spent the night in Bedford. Searched for a place to eat on a Tuesday night using Yelp for any suggestions. Most places were rather ordinary. Checked out the quirky menu from Bay Boyz Bistro and was immediately turned off because there was a Trump caricature staring out. No way did we want to dine here. However, after perusing the menu more, and seeing Matt Foley and Cheech and Chong, it was worth a try. Very cute location right on the Main Street. Clean, comfortable and fun place to dine. We tried the Folsom Prison Blues and Justified burgers. Excellent!! Our burgers need to be cooked perfectly, medium rare, and not many places can do what seems to be impossible. BBB delivered perfection! These are not burgers for the timid. These burgers are made for real carnivores and those of us who enjoy burgers. Also, a very nice char on the edges. Epic! Wish we could jet to BBB, once a month, but alas, will have to wait until our next road-trip or wish BBB will open another location in Michigan.

Rusty S.

Yelp
Very poor service. There were three of us and we didn't receive food together. My son was finished with his burger before I ever received my wings. They were so late that I took them as a carry out. When we got home found we were short 5 wings! Not worth the money.

Greg M.

Yelp
One of only a couple sit down restauarants open on Sunday, the wait for food was almost 2 hours today. The food finally arrived marginally warm but tasted very good. The waitress was friendly and took 20% off the bill for the wait. Supposedly a large to go order messed up the kitchen's speed today.

Todd M.

Yelp
This was one of the saddest establishments I have ever visited. 8 pm. Saturday night. I sit at the bar and wait a long time to get a beer from their all basic domestic beer selection. Part of the delay was due to none of the beer pouring properly. The other part of the delay was the bartender and manager having to look up how to make a margarita for another customer. Yes, a plain margarita. Next up, a message arrives to the bartender via her very loud walkie talkie she is carrying. It's the kitchen proclaiming "We are out of fries". Uh oh, this burger and sandwich joint is out of fries on Saturday night. I stayed for dinner anyway, which was one of the worst quesadillas I have ever encountered. It was gross. I knew I should have just hit Taco Bell for a far superior meal. What a mess.

Nick R.

Yelp
I had lunch here on Thursday with a coworker. Place was empty. Food was great as usual. I had one if the burgers this visit. Huge sandwich. Excellent flavors. Good service.

Michael W.

Yelp
This place was terrible! We showed up an hour before close and requested a table. The hostess/waitress rolled her eyes and then was reluctant to give us a table. Then she proceeded to seat us and not give us menus. We had to request them and she finally gave us a menu. She then disappeared for 20 minutes to be on her phone. We honestly wanted a nice meal with our family who was out of town. She finally came back and got out orders, but half of us ordered drinks. She then returned with half of our drinks and when we asked where we the other ones were, she stated she could no longer give us the drinks due to it being past last call. Then showed up 5 till close with our food and bill. We never even had refills on our drinks. She then rolled her eyes when we asked for to go boxes. I WILL NEVER BE BACK

Kathleen T.

Yelp
Nice place for lunch-we've eaten here a couple of times. I'm not wild about all the fried food, but they're flexible in substituting. Really nice, local place. We enjoyed it! -would like to have given it another 1/2 star.

kevin b.

Yelp
I am so glad that we didn't read the reviews. We had a wonderful meal. My husband and I shared 10 wings and the pretzels. Everything came out hot. The wings were huge. The pretzels were soft. The waitress was friendly. We love the menu and would love to go back to try something else.

Mark M.

Yelp
The service was good. The food was typical tavern food. The picture of Donald Trump watching me eat was offensive. The trivial fact and a sandwich on the menu named after him ruined the experience altogether. I can't stand the liar. I certainly won't be back.

Stacey M.

Yelp
Not from around here but was told by the locals this would be the best spot. Didn't get a chance to dine in the restaurant/bar but got take out several times during our stay. Every order took about 20 minutes, which was nice when you're hungry. On the back of the menu they have two challenges but I didn't have time to join in. Food was good, the different sandwiches all were good! The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was for two reasons, menu isn't up to date they do not carry all items & and consistency from chef to chef or day to day

Eric D.

Yelp
Awesome food, cool theme. Sub par service at best everytime. If the service was better it'd be 5 stars from me.

Bill J.

Yelp
Well for Bedford it was pretty good portions good size burgers taste great and usually open .

Lindsey M.

Yelp
Stopped here while staying at Bedford springs. Had the Reuben and Caesar salad. and my aunt had the brisket. Salad was perfect, sandwiches were delicious, and great friendly service.

John M.

Yelp
We were passing through and staying at one of the hotels. We used Yelp to find a local place for dinner. The name sounded interesting and the menu looked go so we gave it a shot. There was something for everyone and the service was great. The food was scratch made and very reasonably priced. We make the same trip through the area every year and will definitely be back next year. Definitely worth a try and good for families. Now the second year in a row we went. Great, scratch made food. Always great and we'll be back next year.

Andy A.

Yelp
Ok..so I had something with buffalo sauce which I now realize I'm not a buffalo sauce girl. The french fries and toppings on it were delicious and a nice size. The hamburgers are huge so beware. The mozzarella sticks were probably the best I have ever had. To the complainers of this establishment...I like the kitchy quirky names of the food. It's theme based...like most places and drinks. I think the atmosphere is very comfortable and they had a selection of food. Yes..there is a lot of "bar" food...but you also have a selection of things such as salad and pasta. The music isn't loud and I had a wonderful time with my friends.

Lorrain G.

Yelp
Had the daily special . Reuben wrap,2 large wraps, broccoli cheddar soup and a side. The soup was delicious. It was a chicken base with meat not super cheesy . The side was a choice of many. I had a baked potato . This was a large amount of food and so reasonable.

Caitlyn B.

Yelp
Stopped here during a trip from Harrisburg to Pittsburgh. Bedford is a cute little town and we wanted to get off the highway and stop for a bite to eat. Bad Boyz Bistro had a bit of a bad reception in Bedford because it went against the cutesy historical grain of the downtown area. I love cutesy and I love historical but Bedford definitely needed a place like this! I ordered a quesadilla and it was okay. Nothing special. I need to give this place another try though, maybe a quesadilla was just a poor choice when they specialize in wings and burgers. The ambience was cool and our waitress was great.

Fred K.

Yelp
Hip, fun, with good food in the center of Bedford. Loved the decor (various "bad boys" to include Richard Nixon among others). Our middle boy ordered The Justified, a massive cheddar cheese monstrosity of a burger - and he loved it. Fried pickles and Korean wontons also just superb. The menu (and clever commentary) is worth the visit. Would definitely return!
