Bad Egg Review - City - London - The Infatuation

"If you’re having a bad day then you need to head to the Bad Egg. This all-day diner has everything you need when you need to eat and drink your problems away. Their burgers are perfectly formed, and not of the sloppy variety, unless you get an egg involved. The buffalo wings are decent enough, and the milkshakes are exactly what you need on any kind of day." - Jake Missing

Stopped by for a quick lunch and was really impressed with the food and the service. The Korean firefly burger was delicious. It was tender, crispy, well done with a nice crunch and was light and tasty at the same time. The fries were really well done too. I asked them to make my fries well done and you could tell that they went to the effort for me. Very impressed with the quality of the food and the staff here. The location is in a nice space that’s well lit with lots of seating and it’s clean and well kept. Honestly this seems to be a neighbourhood gem and we’re looking forward to coming back. If you’ve read this far please excuse the photos of the food. I was hungry and couldn’t wait.

The egg sandwiches here are great, in some ways I enjoyed my BLT here more, compared to the other fast expanding GTA egg sandwich place The Egg Club. The BLT had a nice spicy sauce and hit the spot for breakfast. The menu here is vast, with bowls and burgers also available, so I'm keen to come back and try something else. You can't beat that soft bread! Give this place a try

These egg sandwiches are generously filled. Often I find these types of egg sandwiches look pretty from the top but the fillings stop halfway down. Bold bites leaves you feeling as stuffed as the sandwiches.

Tried Bad Egg while visiting Toronto and was pleasantly surprised. The sandwiches were pretty good—hearty, filling, and packed with flavor. The sauce had a nice unexpected kick to it, mildly spicy but really well-balanced. Pricing was reasonable—around $35 USD for two adults, which felt fair for the portion sizes. The only downside was that they didn’t have iced coffee, which would’ve been a nice option to pair with the meal. Other than that, everything was delicious and definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving a solid sandwich.

Great food and great vibes. Owner was super friendly and immediately greeted my friend and I. He gave us a good deal as it was our first time here, and the food definitely didn’t disappoint. I got the chicken & egg sandwich and coconut açai bowl, both of which were delicious. The dumplings and spring rolls were also great appetizers. I’ll definitely be coming back with friends.

I had an amazing dining experience at Bad Egg! The food was absolutely delicious, especially for the price range. I loved how the menu had a variety of choices, and each dish was packed with flavor. The staff were super friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, which made it a great place to hang out with friends or family. Overall, I would highly recommend Bad Egg for anyone looking for tasty food and a great atmosphere in Toronto. Can't wait to go back!

Had the classic breakfast sandwich and the Firefly (Korean Fried Chicken sandwich). Breakfast sandwich was OK. Bread was soft. And also got a green smoothie from the smoothie place that is also located inside, but is sort of separate.

Okay, so I rarely write reviews – like, I think the last time I did, it was just to snag an extra 10% off at some store. But today, I had to make an exception. I ordered the ‘Cheeky BLT’ from this place, and let me tell you, it was a game changer. First off, the eggs? Fluffy like a cloud. The bacon? Crisped to perfection, just the right balance of salty and smoky. But the real star? Their Bad Egg Sauce – a spicy, savory, slightly addictive masterpiece that pulls the whole sandwich together. I’m convinced they’re putting some kind of breakfast magic in there. And can we talk about the packaging? It arrived like it had just been hand-delivered by a sandwich-loving angel – warm, stacked perfectly, and not a single soggy bite in sight. As someone who’s had one too many sad, cold delivery orders, this was a chef’s kiss moment. If breakfast isn’t your thing (though it should be after this), their menu is stacked with goodies like ‘Seoul Chicken Rice Bowls,’ ‘Kimchi Dumplings,’ and ‘Dill Pickle Chips’ that I’m already plotting to try next. So, if you’re hungry, hit them up on Uber Eats or, better yet, drop by their East End location at 2214 Queen Street E – because trust me, this is the kind of place that makes food worth raving about. 😍

Yelp
This restaurant serves Korean-inspired meals, with a focus on breakfast. Their Bad Egg sauce is spicy; it is spicy Chipotle sauce.  They also have kimchi bowls and tacos. We ordered the following: 1. Bad Egg Classic ($6.99) without the Bad Egg sauce. 2. Posh Mess French Toast ($9.49). 3. The Classic Bad Bun ($3.99). 4. Fries ($2.99). The French Toast was tasty and nice with the pistachio. It is milk bread dipped in a rich egg and milk batter, chocolate sauce, condensed milk, and pistachio. The Bad Egg Claasic comes with egg, cheese, Bad Egg sauce, and parsley, between two toasted bread slices. I didn't try this. The Classic Bad Bun comes with sunnyside up egg, cheese, Bad Egg sauce, and parsley, in a bun. The Fries were crispy and not greasy. There are four tables for 2 and one table for 6. There is loud  pop music playing in the background. This restaurant opened on 2024-06-14. There is no free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom, but it is not wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2024-179

Yelp
Husband and I went for lunch today after a long bike ride this morning and we're not in the mood to cook so knowing this place been opened for a little while and I've studied their menu, we decided to give it a try. It's an interesting layout as once you stepped inside, a juicy stand is right in front of you and Bad Egg is slightly on the right with seatings available but it's more like a fast food joint. We were greeted by the friendly staff and were asked if we need any assistance on the menu. We browsed a little and decided what we were going to have. I've tried the fried chicken burger and hubby had the Korean Chicken Ramen. It took about 10-15 minutes but boy oh boy, we were certainly pleased with the food. My friend chicken was a piece of crispy fried white meat with plenty of onions, shredded lettuce, slice of cheese, and very yummy sauce, which is a little bit spicy. All were "sandwiched" between a soft brioche bun. Hubby's Korean Chicken Ramen was quite something. He liked it and said it had a REAL kick with kimchi and 2 halved hard boiled egg. Honestly you would doubt who's in the kitchen cooking because of the background of the staffs, you wouldn't imagine the Korean food would be THAT good. We live close by so I'll have today I'm pleased we find a good go to place for a quick bite!

Yelp
Great experience, employees gave amazing customer service and the food is very good and flavorful. Bao buns are a must!
