Bad Harriet opens at Aspen’s Hotel Jerome | Eater Denver

"Tucked in the basement of the historic Aspen Times building, I learned Bad Harriet is a cheekily named subterranean bar and lounge tied to Hotel Jerome that offers craft cocktails and small plates; its name references Jerome B. Wheeler’s wife but gives her narrative a cheeky twist. Cocktails include the namesake Bad Harriet (Woody Creek single barrel rye, roasted pineapple, and pomegranate bitters), The Dame (Tequila Blanco, jalapeño consommé, citric, and honey), The Duke (mezcal, Cocchi vermouth di torino, Galliano, and Bookers bitters), and The Hemlock (Stranahan single malt whisky, homemade spiced ginger beer, and rhubarb bitters). Snacks range from deviled eggs and Rocky Mountain blinis with trout to elk sausage with cheddar and jalapeño and Dungeness crab tots, and desserts include Valrhona chocolate souffle, carrot cake madeleines, and churro ice cream sandwiches. The lounge is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 6 p.m. to close." - Susan Stapleton

Me and my boyfriend went here for a romantic evening and had such a blast! We had Dewi and Mika as our servers they both made our night so fun and had a blast with drinks and shots. We live in Denver so definitely will have to come back sometime! Music was a vibe and the atmosphere was amazing.

this place was so fun! we had a hard time locating it because it’s a speakeasy, but it was super cool. the woman at the front was so sweet and inviting. everything was very neat and clean, the drink menu was very unique which was really nice. we loved our drinks and felt they were super high quality and tasted great. i would recommend this place over the other bars we went to in aspen!

What a beautiful spot tucked away in the old newspaper shop in Aspen ! Sophi & Octavian are so creative & intentional with their cocktails. The fresh sushi experience was out of this world & the whole staff is so kind & welcoming. The ambiance is moody & vibes. I will be back !

literally one of the best cocktail bars I’ve ever been. Over 40 cocktails on the menu, full service bar, friendly staff. Oh wait, there’s more… they also serve omakase & Ala carte sushi as well their signature Bad Harriet bites. Good vibes all around.

The best cocktails in Aspen. The atmosphere is great with a hidden speakeasy vibe. The service was great and the mixologists created some incredible drinks with flavors and techniques that were fresh and unique. The Violet cocktail was my favorite but there are many others on the menu that I really enjoyed also (very large cocktail menu!). A MUST visit in Aspen.

BE CAREFUL to make your reservation it is non refundable for no show. I made a reservation a few weeks before coming to Aspen. Trip ended up canceling I emailed and called the bar a bunch of times to cancel my reservation days in advance; with no one ever answering emails or calls. They charged my card and my CC co told me the have a no refund policy for cancelations.

What a crazy cool place to just stumble upon! Hidden away and would have never known it was there, just happened to see 2 girls going down the “secret” hidden staircase behind the bookcase. Drinks were unique but all good! Go check this place out. Very cool!
