Anthony Badamo’s slice shop excels at thin New York–style rounds and deeply caramelized Sicilian squares. Celebrated by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and featured on WQED with Rick Sebak, it’s a locals-first favorite.

Google
Good pizza and perfect service. It's mostly takeout but there is a small space where you can stand and enjoy. I liked the cheese slices. Kind of different from other pizza places but definitely good. Not too much cheese and sauce and slice is thin. The special white sicilian slice was slightly spicy and flavorful consisting of mushrooms, red peppers, fresh mozzarella, etc. I didn't try the margherita but it definitely looked good. Their most selling ones are the sicilian ones.

Google
Had a slice of their pepperoni pizza and 3 minutes I finished it, I had to go back and get another. Truly amazing, great amount of cheese and sauce. The pizza is soo crispy and not greasy at all.

Google
Perfect crust and fresh ingredients. My order took longer than usual (and I mean like 4 minutes instead of 2) and I found out after I left that they gave me an extra slice, perhaps to accommodate for my time. Keep in mind it's not a sit-down sort of place but you can chill and eat at the standing bar. Also it was $6 with tip for the 2 slices I did order. I mean you simply can not beat the quality for this price point anywhere else in the city, as far as I know.

Dropped in for a few slices for lunch, added herbs and garlic salt they have out for ya. Staff was friendly, think 5 different pizzas for walk ins ready. Went back to try that homemade ranch. It's great, perfect for dipping.

Google
they don't make places like this anymore. classic lil neighborhood italian pizza joint. a welcoming hole in the wall (100% clean and well-kept)

Google
Badamo’s has a great NY style round pie and an equally great Sicilian style square pizza. Featuring a simple but enticing menu, this shop has an interesting variety of high quality topping choices including house made hot peppers, and the salads go far above and beyond the average pizza shop! Staff is attentive and orders come out quickly. Best pizza on the Northside!

Google
Love Badamo's, the Sicilian in particular is so good, but I did learn an important lesson tonight. I was under the weather and noticed that they delivered to me so I thought that it would be a nice treat but I didn't realize that Uber handles those deliveries for them. Naturally, since it was Uber, the driver just kept my drinks and there was no way to get a refund because the restaurant was closed and Toast doesn't refund third parties. If I had known that it was Uber delivering I would never have ordered those drinks because, you know, Uber, so don't make the same $5 mistake that I did. Still a great pizza though, not their fault.

Google
Badamo's Pizzeria is easily in my top five go-to spots in the city! What truly sets them apart is their incredible square pizza. It's a style I absolutely adore, and Badamo's nails it every single time. The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside while still being delightfully chewy, and the toppings are always fresh and flavorful. Whether I'm dining in or grabbing a takeout, the quality is consistently exceptional. If you're a fan of square pizza, or just great pizza in general, you have to try Badamo's. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
It's easier to find bad pizza in this city than good. When you find one that's good, you let everyone know I was told to go here by so many of you after I posted my Lupo video and I'm happy it was worth the praise you all gave it When I first came to Pittsburgh and discovered that not every single pizza shop had speciality slices in cases I was baffled. Now this one still didn't have a shit ton but that had enough Now I'm not going to say this is my favorite pizza because it's not. In the city though, it is by far and that's for 2 reasons. The crust and SLICES The plain, sauce was solid, not too thin and a good crisp (I always ask for them extra crispy). It's not my favorite plain slice BUT it still slapped All the special squares banged. We got the pepperoni (wish they had hot honey for it). One was tomatoes, onions and ricotta. The other was ricotta, basil and pesto. The crisp was perfect, still super soft in the middle on ALL of them and the sizes were SOLID Also their ranch. They didn't have blue cheese so I got that. It had dill in it. I fucking hate dill. But I enjoyed this one a lot. If you're a dill person you'll fuck with this one heavy Inside there isn't any seating. Very very small. So you can sit on the steps like us, bring home if close or just have in your car. Either way get the fuck there. They have two locations. The original in the North Side and then another in Dormont

Yelp
PHENOMENAL SPECALITI PIZZAS! NO skimping on toppings! So glad they are close to my home! Starting to get busy! Check their hours and place order in advance. At this moment they do not deliver. THANKS KIDS!!!!! BECKY

Yelp
All I need to say is DELICIOUS.. but Yelp says I need 85 characters, so here it goes. Definitely have to stop and grab a pizza slice and pepperoni roll if you're in the area. Even on a hot day, the pizza was 10/10. Service was good. It can be a bit stuffy in there if you're waiting though.

Yelp
Found the trick is to order well done. This pie was amazing. We live in the area and this is our go to pizza spot. Pick up is always super easy and timely. The staff is wonderful and we always have positive interactions with them.
google avatar

Yelp
The pizza was amazing! I tried the pepperoni and the Margherita pizza slices and they were perfect New York stule. Crispy crust, good toppings, overall delicious. Will definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered on my phone because we were in an Airbnb from out of town. Said they had delivery but they farm it out to delivery service. A large pizza with 4 toppings was over 50.00 with delivery and tip..,cold and average at best...uggh. Would NOT recommend

Yelp
Can never go wrong with Badamos! I recently ordered a Sicilian pizza and per usual, it didn't disappoint. I've heard their classic pizza is fantastic as well, but I can't stay away from the Sicilian. lol online ordering is easy and pick up is a breeze. Love having Badamos so close to me on the north side!
google avatar

Michelle G.

Yelp
Great slice every time. Sauce is flavorful not overwhelming or acidic. Cheese is great and nice crispy edges to a light crust. Fast and friendly spot
google avatar

Eri L.

Yelp
This place pops up on a lot of "Best slices in Pittsburgh" list and I can see why. I tried the white slice (with added sausage solely for the sake of extra protein)-- the crust was crispy while also having good chew. I liked the included ricotta and spinach combo and would likely skip adding sausage next time. The pepperoni roll was also a good snack, slightly on the doughier side. There is a standing table opposite the cashier with enough space for 4-5 people, so most folks get it as take-out.
google avatar

Yelp
Got this pizza delivered. Pizza didn't totally impress us but it was still good. Ranch was very dilly - fyi!
google avatar

Corey D.

Yelp
Margherita is the best in Pittsburgh. Perfect sauce. Perfect crust. I've only ever gotten delivery so i'm not sure about sertvice or anything else.
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
Pizza passport brought me here for first time. Super friendly employee running register and heating up the pizza by the slice (Sicilian). Enjoyed the crust most of all...crisp and airy. Garlic forward. Sitting out and reheated probably played a role in the overall experience a bit but you expect that from a by the slice spot. Added a side of garlic knots which had good body but lacked a bit of butter and or salt. Definitely want to come back to try the whole red sauce pie!
google avatar

Julie Anna E.

Yelp
One of my favorite pizza shops in Pittsburgh. Consistently good pies. Made exactly how I like. Good italian hoagies as well! Miss the Mt.Lebo location dearly
google avatar

Yelp
As a Long Island, NY native, I have pretty high standards for pizza. Badamo's is the only slice I've had in Pittsburgh that comes close to pizza from home! Badamo's has a laid back atmosphere and you can see pizzas being made in the back. Service has never been an issue and slices are out pretty quick. I got two plain slices and a cup of ranch to dip. The pizza is NY-style and lives up to that description. Dipping in ranch is something I've picked up since moving to PA and Badamo's ranch is great too!

Yelp
Definitely a good pizza shop, but it might be a tad overhyped. I didn't love it or anything, but did enjoy it. They have both round pies and Sicilian style pizzas. Not a ton of premade pizza options outside of the classics, so a somewhat limited menu. I decided to try the red pizza in Sicilian form. The red Sicilian was pretty good. The dough was airy and not too overpowering. The cheese was tasty and seemed to be decently high quality. They had the sauce on the top, which is kind of unique and almost upside down or grandma style. I honestly wasn't a big fan of the sauce and found it a little sweet. There wasn't a ton of crunch to the pizza (it's not like the Detroit style of Iron Born). But still, not bad. Their homemade ranch was pretty good but quite unique. It's got an herbal taste to it, with a nice amount of creaminess. I think the ranch saved the crust at times. All in all, decent pizza shop that might be a tad overhyped. It's still solid and I may come back, but nothing crazy.

Lesco B.

Yelp
Absolutely love their pizza! I'm a little bummed they stopped making hoagies but as far as their pizza goes, I love it! I've been driving there which is a little out of my way but worth it! I see they have a shop In Dormont. I wish they would open one in the North Hills! Delicious!
google avatar

Douglas S.

Yelp
Tried a slice of Sicilian cheese, a slice of Sicilian pepperoni, a pepperoni roll and garlic knots. All of them were fantastic. The Sicilian crust was light and crispy.

Jordan B.

Yelp
We got a large cheese delivered. It was very quick and delicious. Reminded me of a nice New York style pie. Very good pizza.
google avatar

Sarah U.

Yelp
One of my favorite pizza shops in the city! Just classic thin and floppy NY style pizza. I need to try the Sicilian still!
google avatar

Harry S.

Yelp
Ordered pizza was told like Vincent pizza north versailles no way no how some parts of pizza doughy
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
Proud to say this is my neighborhood spot. Their pizza is on a regular rotation for my family's "Pizza Friday". Their Sicilian slice is top 3 in the city for me. Never had a bad za from these guys. The team there are always in good spirits. Great vibes.

Yelp
Ordered carryout on a Tuesday evening. The wait was about 45 minutes which was surprising for a weeknight but the place was busy! Pizza is so pricey these days (roughly $30 for an 18 inch 2 topping pizza), but Badamos has really good pizza. The toppings were plentiful and the crust was excellent. Probably the best Pizza on the North Side of Pittsburgh.

Yelp
Yummy! We came here after a story club hour at City asylum. I was really happy to get there before they closed. I was able to order some really delicious looking pizza and I had to try the pepperoni rolls. All of it was delicious. It was super fast. It also get. We ordered it and stood around for maybe 3 minutes or so it felt like and it was already ready to go. Not bad at all. Between me and my friends we had the vegetarian slices, some cheese, and pepperoni. Pepperoni. And all of us were impressed by the crust and the taste of the sauce and the toppings that we chose. I know that it was a newer pizza place in the neighborhood and I think that it's here to stay. The food was delicious, the service was awesome, and it was a cute little shop that fit in with the neighborhood. I really enjoyed it and look forward to my next slice.

Yelp
My favorite pizza in Pittsburgh! If you like New York style, this is the shop for you. I'm one of those people that likes to have a side salad with my pizza, so I usually order the mixed greens salad which is great and full of fresh toppings like olives and chickpeas. It's big enough for 2-3 people to share. They make all of their dressings in house. The ranch pairs perfectly with the pizza. It's a little dill forward which I personally enjoy. For the salad I always get the balsamic which is also lovely.
google avatar

Shampayne C.

Yelp
Nastiest pizza I had in my life so far I think it's worst than Domino's! It taste old and smelt even worse so disappointed and a waste of money.

Dan H.

Yelp
Left the pizza outside next door and no pepperoni! Texted an hour and ten minutes later that it was there. Now it's freezing cold!

Scott M.

Yelp
Amazing Pizza. Always consistent and friendly staff. Also the pepperoni rolls are perfect
google avatar

Vickie B.

Yelp
There are always people waiting outside for pizza. You walk in the park and there are people sitting on the bench eating pizza. This trip, after seeing it rated as one of the best pizzas in Pittsburgh, we have to get some. We arent big eaters so we ordered three slices of sicilian pepperoni. One each was plenty. I like thick crust. This was in between. Nice and chewy with lots of thin crispy slices of pepperoni. Terrific sauce. Usually I like tons of cheese. I think this pizza had some cheese, not alot. I didnt miss it. I could really taste each of the ingredients. As a matter of fact Badamos is now on my list of top 3. Little Star deep dish chicken Mediterranean pizza in San Francisco. Deschners Pizza with 7 ingredients in Mansfield Ohio and now Badamos Sicilian pizza with pepperoni. Each pizza good in their own way Nice thing is you can buy it by the slice, nicely packed up and enjoy it either in the park or by the river. This is a winner.
google avatar

Marissa K.

Yelp
Let's start this with Badamos is prob still the best pizza option in the North Side. However, since they changed their recipe the Sicilian just isn't what it used to be. I used to tell everyone about Badamos, now, ehh. Let's go back to the old dough recipe, please.

Lee M.

Yelp
My families go to spot, Badamos pizza never disappoints. They're quick & pretty affordable.
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
Perhaps the best pizza in Pittsburgh. I had the square cut pepperoni, and it's evident that Badamo's is using only the best quality ingredients. On top of that however, they get the bottom of the crust to be crispy/crunchy without being greasy in the slightest. This pizza is perfection.
google avatar

Jupiter M.

Yelp
Great pizza, Awesome pepperoni rolls. Good prices, very nice people. Definitely will eat there again next time I am in Pittsburgh

Jay M.

Yelp
What an amazing crust. The crust is light and tasty. The very best pizza I have ever had! I can't wait to try more varieties.
google avatar

Marnie S.

Yelp
How I've somehow never left a review for badamos is a mystery to me. This is my absolute favorite place for a slice in/around Pittsburgh that I've found. Specifically the Sicilian square cut pepperoni. The regular slice wasn't anything too special to me, but the square cut is divine! We used to live within walking distance of badamos but have since moved about 30 minutes north, but you can bet every time we are in the area around lunch, we get a slice! Always comes out piping hot and is a great size for a small lunch. There always seems to be a small line, however the service is always fast and friendly. Go give it a try! I don't think you'll regret it! :)
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
If Rick Sebak recommends it, it must be good! I know that Rick travels to get here, and that Badamo's never disappoints. We got the White Sicilian and the crust was perfect. They also sell by the slice, as well as hoagies, salads, and sides, but I'm hooked on their pizza.

Ridge D.

Yelp
Very good pizza with excellent customer service. Very friendly and nice experience. I would suggest calling your order in or ordering online but other than that no complaints.
google avatar

Layla M.

Yelp
So good! My husband and I had the classic cheese pizza and garlic knots delivered to our hotel room, and it was exactly what we needed after a long day.
google avatar

D W.

Yelp
The pizza was excellent!!!!!!! I'm glad I don't live close otherwise I would gain 30lbs. Some of the best pizza I've had in years.
google avatar

Marysa M.

Yelp
I use to eat Badamos a lot but haven't had it in about a year. We ordered a large classic pizza, a salad, and a slice of Sicilian pizza. However this time it tasted different. The classic pizza and Sicilian were both less flavorful than they used to be. The house salad was great and I loved the Italian dressing. We did order on a busy Saturday night and I know I loved their pizza before so I would still recommend it. I'll be ordering again soon to give it a second chance. And they have online ordering which is always a plus for me!
google avatar

Kenna S.

Yelp
Gotta be the best pizza I've had in a while. The crust was perfectly crunchy, the sauce was drinkable, and I'm always a sucker for that cup shaped pepperoni.
google avatar

Scott R.

Yelp
We got a large pepperoni to go while in town and it was absolutely delicious!! One of the best pizzas we've ever had, and we've traveled all over. It's as good as any we've had in Italy. The pepperoni was slightly spicy, similar to a pizza diavola. Sooo good.
google avatar

Samantha L.

Yelp
I ordered a cheese pizza with spinach and a salad and they were both delicious! Their salads are definitely above par compared to your typical pizza joint. I'd recommend ordering ahead of time since they can be a bit slow sometimes but it's worth it. Super friendly staff as well!
google avatar

Hanna R.

Yelp
Just darn good pizza. I recommend stopping in for a slice, you can select your toppings and they'll pop it in the oven for you and serve it piping hot with a crisp layer of crust on bottom and soft in the center. Probably my favorite pizza place in pgh. Don't expect to sit down, there's a counter for standing to inhale your pizza then leave. Love the no frills nature of this place and there's nothing i want more than a hot slice on a snowy day. If you get pizza to take home, it's good but not as good as if you enjoy a slice at the counter. Once it goes in the cardboard box it loses some of the crispness and steams itself a little soggy in the box. Not the fault of badamos, just the nature of pizza. If i do get a whole pizza, i always reheat in the oven when i get home to mimic the in store slices.

Terrel W.

Yelp
Great pizza and food. I loved it, heard great things about the place and I'm happy that I went!
google avatar

Kia D.

Yelp
I have been meaning to try this pizza ever since Rick Sebak said something about them. Man oh man, it didn't disappoint. The Sicilian pepperoni has crispy edges and crispy pepperoni but the bottom is soft and fluffy but not doughy. It's saucy, I like a saucy pizza. I wasn't sure so I ordered sauce on the side. It was not needed. We ate half before I realized I didn't write a review
google avatar

Joanna H.

Yelp
Badamo's Sicilian from today's lunch was the move. The crust is so crispy and perfectly oily. Cheese is THICK but slightly rubbery but it's fine. It was savory and properly covered the entire crust. No naked spots and that makes me happy. What stands out is The TOMATO SAUCE. What a stunner, it was my favorite part of the slice and just the right amount of drizzles. Oooooof so good. Slice was $2.50 and was a generous corner portion. Pittsburgh knows pizza, y'all. Highly recommend. And get a carton of Turner's tea while you're at it. I wish there was Turner's around LA
google avatar

James Z.

Yelp
Did a quick pickup. Great pizza, no complaints. Pepperoni was really high quality. Would highly recommend!
google avatar

Tammy T.

Yelp
Delicious! Great quality and the price was reasonable. The Sicilian pizza was some of the best I've had.
google avatar

Spencer S.

Yelp
Nice slice of thin crust pizza right in the heart of the North Shore. Not open as late as some of the other shops across the river, but so long as your munchies come before 10pm you should be good. A slice of pepperoni runs for $2.50 which is really quite reasonable given the size of the slice. The pepperonis were good, the cheese was plentiful and the crust was crispy. Will definitely be back soon!
