We were a group of five on a stag — not rowdy, not drunk, just looking to enjoy a quiet beer. But the moment we spoke English, we were told to go "watch football somewhere else." None of us are football fans — we just wanted a seat and a drink. Treated like an unwanted stereotype from the moment we opened our mouths. Avoid if you're expecting hospitality over hostility.

I stumbled upon this bar while searching for a place that serves great Guinness, and I'm thrilled to share my positive experience. From the moment I stepped into this establishment, I was pleasantly surprised by its cool and laid-back atmosphere. My initial visit turned into a routine, as I found myself returning every night for the past three weeks. Not only did I enjoy the fantastic Guinness, but I also discovered a welcoming community that has become a source of newfound friendships. What truly sets this bar apart is the attentive and caring staff. They go above and beyond to make every customer feel valued and ensure a memorable experience. It's evident that customer satisfaction is a top priority for them. Great wee bar with great barmen with the added bonus of Angry Hour (usually happy hour 😁). Short visit to Berlin with mates from Scotland... lucky to find this place (even had a Scottish barmen ) well worth a visit if you're passing

Great bar! Good prices on beer and general beverages. Nice modern interior. Have a playable NES!! Friendly atmosphere. Smoking is permitted in this bar JUST A WARNING.

I really like this bar. It plays good rock music. Super nice bartenders. Beer for 3 €, and most importantly memes on the toilet walls. Plus the have TV were they’ll let you play Mario Kart sometimes. But it gets really crowed the later it gets. It’s really Smokey and all your clothes will smell. And the seats in the back are quite uncomfortable.

If you want a Guinness you'll get a fresh one - but along with lung cancer!!

I Liked this place a lot, low to average prices(beers cost around 3 to 4€. On their Happy hour you get 2 pints in the price of one so it is 2€ and cocktails range from 7 to 10€) and the people thst go there are nice and chill. The barman was also talking in English so thats also pretty nice. The only downside and the reason i give it 4 is that you can smoke inside. It is a shame when you really enjoy the place but can't stay long because of the smell.

Badfish is my favorite bar in the world for two reasons: 1) free popcorn. 2) Myles Cuomo, who sometimes makes the popcorn himself! Myles, if you're reading this, remember me? Me and my friends came in really late and you stayed open for us. You played a Katy Perry song while my college roommate danced on the bar. You asked me if I was hitting on you and I said "no, I just wanted to add you on Facebook" and then I promised that I would come back someday. Myles, I haven't forgotten. I will come back. Maybe not in this life. But I will come back. Don't forget me, Myles. Don't forget me. Also, FYI, the picklebacks made my friend puke, but I guess that's her fault.

Hip, but not painfully so. Known for its selection of whiskey and complimentary popcorn - they had me at popcorn (and I will sample there whiskeys too after this whole pregnancy thing). This place seems too chill for Prenzlauer Berg - thankfully. Exposed bricks, recessed alcoves for candles, a jukebox, a relaxed clientele and staff. I'm happy we finally wandered in. And with an actual happy hour (or angry hour as they named it) of 2-for-1 beers makes me feel at home.

Best Guinness in Berlin, a decent whisk(e)y selection to boot, really nice staff, and an overall relaxed atmosphere. Also full of regulars, which is a top sign for a bar.

Very nice bar. Definitely one of my favorites. Stuff are friendly and the atmosphere is just the kind of thing you would expect from a small neighbourhood place. Only con is that smoking is allowed indoors. Even though there is air conditoning it doesn't make up for all these people smoking.

This bar has some bad ass margaritas! I came here for a friend's birthday not long ago and felt like not having another beer like usual. The place is feels very cozy - like sitting in someone's living room, one awesome bartender and an interesting blend of people, the only thing that bothered me of course - was that smoking is allowed, but at some point I got used to it, it doesn't feel so bad, probably because it wasn't too crowded. So at the bar there was a fun conversation with some random girl, and I got my margarita, it was a bit pricy but HUGE! Totally worth it, and for a light drinker like me it was quite enough, and even a bit too much, love it. This place is cool, nice music, cozy atmosphere, good drinks, nice people and good ambience. For the dog owners - dogs are allowed in, too.

Uuuuuuugh where do I start! Zoo. The candles burn too bright, which means your tinder date can actually see you. The frozen margarita tease is exactly that, all tease no lay. The juke box is filled w Bryan Adams and the Eagles (lame). My mustache cannot compete w the cool king table opposite the bar, who coincidentally slings great drinks in a suave fashion. They haven't changed the quote of the week in months and the rocking chair makes me nervous (I live w cats who don't clean themselves, dirty pigs). I hear there is Mario kart but I'm more of a donkey kong country kind of guy. Also ps4 was the worst game console ever, so at least they didn't get on that bandwagon. It's perfect like my two kids at home!

Cool bar with cool bartenders. They also have some good beers from the bottle, like sours and IPAs. Expect to hear a lot of English around you.

Man, this is where home is. And ask nicely for an old fashion and you're all set. I promise. But don't tell!

I don't know what Mike E. is on about! ..Teuer? Expensive it is not. Happy hour, or should I say 'Angry Hour' offers 2 for 1 from 5pm to 7pm. so, 2 pints costs €3!!!! Needless to say, they're only €3 a pint at worst (regular German Krombacher that is). The trendy 'craft beers' I think might be a bit more - if you call I.P.A. 'trendy'!! The only thing is one of the staff (or the one that served us this particular day), hasn't grasped the terms & conditions of the Angry Hour. It clearly says on the boards '2 for 1 between 5.pm and 7pm' We had 4 beers. 2 before 7pm and 2 after and were charged full price for all 4 pints when we settled our bill. I wasn't really bothered as the beer is so cheap anyway but had to ask why and was told by the friendly barmaid that 'unfortunately didn't qualify this time' as we had to buy all the drinks before 7pm!! Can't get my head round that! Also, another barmaid handed out baskets of lovely fresh popcorn to the guests (except us), even though 4 of them were eating meals from the restaurant next door. Nice touch giving popcorn but please do it for everyone. We didn't like to ask.. :-( Apart from the sometimes intense smoke, a great bar, friendly staff in one of my fave streets in P'berg..!! ... News Flash, For the 2nd time, another member of staff hasn't grasped the T&C's of the 'Angry Hour' - 2 beers bought this evening (12/5/16), b4 7pm, when I went to pay was charged full price! What's all that about? Pocketing the other 2 Euros I wonder? Sort yourself out love! I bring all my visitors and friends here (or did), If she's working again, I'll got to Beakers!!!
