The Best Korean Restaurants In The San Gabriel Valley

"OK, so you’ll drop some cash at Kanghodong Baekjeong, but if you’ve never dined at this world-renowned Korean barbecue spot, now is the time to do it outdoors at one of its two less-crowded locations (there’s a second in Rowland Heights). The quality of meat at Baekjeong, which means butcher, is impressive, but don’t stop at the micro-brisket and the seasoned short rib. Here, you want to try it all - especially the ultra-fatty pork jowl, the fiery red spicy intestine combo, and the yangdaechang, which has both tripe and large intestine. You’ll need kimchi jiigae and gyeran jjim (steamed egg) while you’re at it, of course, even though the banchan are plentiful here. Or if you’re just in for lunch to go, order up the lunchbox, which has steamed white rice with a fried egg and your choice of meat." - dakota kim

Kang Ho Dong Baek Jeong Review - Koreatown - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong is one of Koreatown’s most popular BBQ restaurants. While the meat and banchan are both very good, a meal here is a true test of patience as wait times fall in the two-hour range almost every day of the week. If you’re looking for a quintessential, rowdy BBQ atmosphere, Baekjeong's college student-filled space can’t be beat, but if you’re simply looking for great BBQ, there are other options in the area with half the wait." - Brant Cox

Excellent place for Korean BBQ. If you're celebrating a special occasion and don't want to be turning short ribs, this place does all the heavy lifting for you. They do absolutely everything for you except eat. They bring water, and have all the salad and banchan there at the table before you sit down. The server came to introduce himself and lighted the grill. He started cooking our brisket and came back in a minute to turn it over. He took it off the hot plate when it was done, but we could eat it when it was still on the plate. I asked him when it was ready to eat. Next, he brought the New York steak or rib eye. He cooked it perfectly, asking how I wanted it cooked. Third, he cooked the marinated boneless short ribs. We asked for more salad, rice wrappers, and spicy tofu. All sides are all you can eat. I gave it 4 stars because it was pretty pricey and the 2 of us had enough food, but in regards to the beef, we could have eaten more. I was glad for the experience. But I can only do this on special occasions if you know what I mean.

The quality of meat and side dishes are great, if not excellent; however, our waiter Justin was terrible. He doesn't talk unless we asked.. When we asked him to refill sidedishes, he took the plates and never remembered what to refill. He managed to use the least effort in cooking for each table and burnt some of our meat. When he done cooking, he just ran to other table without telling us if the meat is ready to eat... The dinner costed hundred fifty something, and we feel the experience doesn't worth it.

Baekjeong Kbbq is an a-la-carte place. We got the beef combo. The small size was perfect for two of us. We also ordered the beef fried rice, which ended up being too much for two of us after the combo. We liked the lunch box as well. They prepared the beef and fried rice for us. There was a time when the worker was slow and didn't come to us for a while, but I understand that they needed to prepare meat for other tables as well.

Very disappointing experience due to poor service and unprofessional attitude from our server. In the middle of our meal, the server walked away and left our food unattended on the grill. We had to step in and cook it ourselves to prevent it from burning. When the server returned, they told us that if the food had burned, it wouldn’t have been their responsibility. At no point were we informed whether the food would be cooked for us or if we were expected to do it ourselves. We also asked for a refill of the banchan during the meal, but it was never brought out. The lack of communication and inattentive service made the entire dining experience frustrating and disappointing.

Google
Baekjeong is known for serving top-notch Korean BBQ meats, with servers preparing the food for you and providing a variety of condiments and sauces.

Along with the main course, Baekjeong offers a wide array of banchan, including kimchi, salads, and more.

We brought our family friends when they came to visit. There were a total of 11 people, 8 kids and 3 adults. Since they don’t take reservations, the wait time wasn’t too bad. But it was so worth the wait. *(But find a parking spot was a bit challenging. There are a lot of restaurants within the same plaza.)

I had an amazing dining experience at this Korean BBQ restaurant, and a huge part of that was thanks to Linda, the manager. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect from checking on us regularly to making thoughtful recommendations that really elevated our meal

Google
This place was recommended to us by some friends, so we decided to give a try. Parking was kind of hard to find empty spot. The place has very nice atmosphere to it. The service was very attentive and friendly. They will do the cooking for you. They will even change the griddle too according to the type of meat you’re having. The kimchi soup was very good, the right amount of spices. My favorite was the marinated short ribs, very soft and buttery and the sesame oil gave it that sesame flavor to it was awesome. Little bit pricey but over all is good.

I used to like Baekjeong a lot, it was one of my go-to when I was craving kbbq in the area. However unfortunately, the recent visit was a huge letdown. It was pretty empty around 4:30 pm on a Saturday. I was happy that we did not need to wait long, but now I kinda know why we did not have to wait long. Ok. Long story short, we had the Hodong’s favorite combo, and obviously it was not our favorite. The portions were way smaller than before, and I don’t know if it was the meat quality issue or the services. Most of our meat was overly cooked, even though we told our server that we would prefer our meat to be medium rare, and it was like medium well to well done. Not to mention, we felt extremely rushed to finish the entire meal (even we told them to slow down the cooking) I could not help but wondering if it was the same owner as before, the decor changed a bit, and everything was not as great as we remember. Aw well, there are definitely better options in the area, I could easily name a few. Overall, not a great experience. Would not recommend and return!

Yelp
Super friendly service! The host jasmine welcomed my party as soon as we walked in and started setting up our table right away! Good meat quality and would definitely come back!

Yelp
We love coming to Baekjeong -- it never disappoints! This spot consistently delivers high-quality meats, excellent service, and a vibrant atmosphere in a convenient location. If you're looking for top-tier Korean BBQ without going the all-you-can-eat route, Baekjeong is the perfect choice. The quality of the cuts and flavors easily justify the price. The plaza can get crowded, especially during peak hours, so parking might require some patience. Expect a wait during prime dining times -- but trust us, it's well worth it. One of the standout features here is the attentive staff who help grill your meats to perfection, ensuring an ideal experience every time. The restaurant is clean, well-organized, and comfortably spaced. While the indoor waiting area is limited, there's ample seating just outside the entrance to accommodate guests. We've been loyal customers for years and will continue coming back for more -- Baekjeong is a must for any K-BBQ lover!

Yelp
Came here with a party of 15 to celebrate a birthday on a Saturday evening. Note: If you want to bring a cake in, I'd recommend dropping it off a maximum of a couple of hours before your meal. I dropped a cake off around 12 PM, and the staff agreed to store it until the evening, but typically, they can only hold it for a couple of hours due to fridge space. Also, as far as parking, the lot can get a bit busy, as its shared with a variety of other eateries and businesses. They don't accept reservations; however, we showed up around 5pm and thankfully were able to get a long table near the restaurant entrance. Huge shoutout to our server Jeff who was very attentive and helpful amidst all the tables he was covering. We ordered a couple of the combos and all the meat was delicious! The servers cook the meat for you, and Jeff did a great job of ensuring the meat was consistently replenished. We enjoyed the soup and all of the banchan dishes as well. I'm growing to love a la carte kbbq places as it allows you to eat quality meat without leaving overly full. If you're craving yummy kbbq, I'd highly recommend paying a visit to Baekjong!

Yelp
Shout out to Joey for great service! Love coming to Baekjeong for the quality of meat and the service (they cook for you!) Our server Joey was friendly, very attentive, and had perfect timing with cooking our courses. Would recommend the beef combo with the kimchi stew! The boneless short rib is my favorite-- so tender and flavorful. Come during off hours for no wait!

Yelp
The location is easy to find, parking is also easy to find once you navigate through the structure. Its right by the teapot fountain. This is $$$ for two people. They personally cook the meat for you so you can enjoy all the other foods at your leisure. They give you plenty of side dishes to eat while you wait. We came late in the afternoon and it was quiet, not too many people. Staff is super friendly and gave us extra water because it was hot and we were thirsty. Their japchae (sorry if I spelled it wrong) was so delicious! And it was great as a leftover meal the next day! We got the marinated short ribs, brisket and non-marinated short ribs platter and a side of pork belly. We will come back, but not as often as we'd like due to the price, but loved our experience!

Yelp
Meat quality and portion sizes here are 10/10. All meat is cooked for you - great service. Pretty big inside with lots of parking underground. I really like their brisket and marinated meats.

Yelp
This is not your typical AYCE KBBQ spot BUT they do serve pretty high quality meat combo sets AND the server does all the grilling! Parking can be difficult especially on the weekends because it's located in a busy plaza but they have an underground parking garage. Service was very nice and attentive. Love that the servers do all the grilling! It can get pretty loud especially when it gets busy so it might be hard to communicate with one another. There are 10+ different combo sets to choose from. Expect to pay $83+ for each set. However, each one contains A LOT of food! Got the Combo S ($82.80) and it consisted of brisket, boneless short ribs, pork belly, and marinated pork steak. All the meats were very good quality and not too fatty. The brisket was my favorite, so flavorful and tender! This was 9/10 The banchans were very good and the corn cheese was the BEST! So cheesy and sweet! Would recommend and return

Yelp
Baekjong is easily the best KBBQ spot in the 626 area! Good quality meats with wonderful selections of complimentary & unlimited sides (corn cheese, steamed egg, kimchi, fish cakes, salad, cucumbers, rice paper, peppers). I like how the server cooks the meats for us and are very attentive to our requests. I ordered the Premium Seared Pork Belly and the Prime Beef Belly. Both were insanely good; the beef belly melts in your mouth and the pork belly slices were thick! I love how the dipping sauces/garlic salt & pepper pair so well with the meats. I was a little surprised that the beef belly came marinated as it wasn't stated specifically in the menu and I am personally not a fan of marinated meats. However, it still tasted pretty good! It's a pretty big establishment, but there is always a long wait. I came on a Friday night around 6:30PM and had to wait 35 minutes for a table of 2. There is a lot of parking within the plaza as well (free). Dining here is also on the pricier side.

Yelp
Waited an hour at the Temple City outpost of this SoCal KBBQ chain. Had been to the Irvine version before and knew this chain offered good quality meals. The three of us shared the small meat combo consisting of brisket, boneless Kalbi, pork belly, and marinated pork. We also shared their brisket, truffled fried rice.... More than enough for three and suitable for four. Ventilation was good with the powerful suction fan, music was hopping with modern KPOP tunes, service was good as they grill and cut the meat for you, you'll need to ask for sesame salt, more rice wrappers, more Banchan, etc.. parking can be a challenge in the large lot because of so many popular restaurants within this strip mall. Good place to take a family of four.
google avatar

Yelp
We got the their small beef combo meal which feeds two - three people and we could not finish it with two people. Food: 4/5 The food was decent, but nothing too special. My favorite was their short rib and I really liked their banchan options, especially their kimchi and fish cakes. Their kimchi stew was pretty basic, good flavor but nothing outstanding. Price: 4/5 This place came out to around $30 per person between two people. Their meat is definitely a little higher quality than your average AYCE kbbq. But I would much rather get more variety at all you can eat. Service: 4/5 Our servers were wonderful and they were great to monitor our meats and help us cool. However, the wait for this place took too long. It was also a little disorganized, people who walked in after us got served before we did because there was no line or hostess. Ambiance: 5/5 This place is a really cool hangout spot that is pretty popping. It is lively inside and despite the delicious smelling Kbbq aroma, there is little smoke inside. One last note is to park in the parking lot underground. Parking in this plaza sucks.

Yelp
The meat quality is so good here. We ordered a large Hodong's favorite combo and everything was excellent. I liked the fish cake banchan and Kim chi soup too. I also enjoyed the egg and corn cheese which were cooking immediately after we sat down. While we waited for the meat to come by we had some tasty sides to eat. Servers really did a great job at cooking the meat for us.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places for Korean BBQ! The quality of the meat, the flavors, and the overall experience keep me coming back. ::Food:: We always go for the Beef Combo, which comes with thinly sliced brisket, seasoned prime boneless short rib, prime boneless short rib, and prime beef brisket soybean paste stew. Every bite is so good, I could seriously eat it every day. The short ribs are packed with flavor, and I always ask for a mesh grill. I think it makes such a difference, giving the meat that perfect char and enhancing the taste. The soybean paste stew is rich and comforting. ::Customer Service:: Peter is amazing! He's super attentive, friendly, and always making sure we have everything we need. One thing I really appreciate is how he checks in to see how we like our meat. Even when it gets busy, he still takes the time to provide great service. ::M's Notes:: - Indoor seating - Parking lot available, but it fills up fast
google avatar

Cindy C.

Yelp
Food portions are on the smaller side, definitely order more than you think you need. For two people, we got the small beef combo and it was barely enough. Although egg and corn cheese had complimentary refills, it wasn't that delicious. The egg tastes better in a stone pot and it's very difficult for it to cook evenly on the grill. The restaurant is very busy and I don't think it's worth it to wait to eat here.

Yelp
Baekjeong has become a golden staple in the 626 for Korean BBQ. Located in the Camellia Square plaza, parking is ample in the lot and underground. I came during lunch time on a Friday with a friend right when they opened so there wasn't much of a line (although there usually is!) The restaurant at night does get very busy and noisy though so just prepare for that if you come for dinner! Going at lunch time was really fun, the restaurant wasn't as busy so the servers were able to serve and cook for us which we always enjoy. My friend and I got the Beef Combo (S) and shared it. The beef combo was a great amount for the two of us even though we were hungry. It came with all of the banchan and cheese corn as well! The meat was so tender and good as always and we had some Cass beer as well. The server was very attentive and continued to assist us in cooking and making sure we had enough banchan. He ever offered us another bottle of Cass on the house which we respectfully declined! Overall, it's always a good time at Baekjeong and would recommend it to anyone passing by or craving some KBBQ!

Yelp
Good food, good service, good experience. I usually go to the one at the Chapman Plaza in Ktown but since my friend and I were close by, we decided to give it a try. , It's not AYCE, they do offer combos or a la carte. The price is about $40+ per person (if splitting) if you want to eat really well. I came here on a Monday night around 6 pm with my friend, and there were plenty of seats. However, by about 7, the place started to fill up! The staff is nice, they don't do unnecessary conversations and just do their work. Some people might find that unfriendly, since some Korean BBQ staff are friendly and talkative in a good way (which I have experienced as well). quantity We got the small beef combo, and it was actually a good qty for 2 people, and that was about $85-$90. You can do your own add-ons, like truffle rice, etc. I think this is a great way to try this place out if this is your first time. It's a good place for group dinners, dates or family gatherings! Calling ahead or creating a reservation (if applicable) is recommended.

Yelp
Another great experience all around! Came on a Friday later in the night this time so there was a wait but reasonable. The service is wonderful, they helped cooked everything and our bonchons were promptly refilled and drinks never empty. Our server asked us how we wanted our meats cooked and cooked it for us which is great for a kbbq place. He is attentive and made our kids happy. What we didn't know from last time was the cheese corn and egg cooked on the side of the grill were free to refill too! These were my kids favorite dishes so it was definitely a pleasant surprise. These meats were fresh and very nice cuts. Will be happy to come again and again whenever we crave kbbq.

Yelp
Can never go wrong with Baekjeong! It's our go to for date nights or a nice family outing. Always the best service and food is delicious. Waits are never too long even when super busy. Most we've waited is probably around 40 minutes but that's always doable. We've been to the temple city and Irvine location, satisfied each time. We always get the small meat combos and it's just the right amount of food. One time we got a large meat combo for just us two cause we were super hungry and regretted our choices lol. Highly recommend!!
google avatar

Omar F.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place. Pricey but worth every penny. Can't put a price on quality and great service. The small beef combo packs a punch is you are 2 or 3 guest. 3 main beef dishes but remember you also get unlimited sides. Chow down on the free salads and the kimchi soup which by the way is delicious. The meat will be cooked by a server, so that's gives you time to focus on your dinner party. Sit back and enjoy experience.
google avatar

Jesse N.

Yelp
Amazing BBQ. The sides were super good and the sauce they gave you for dipping was amazing. I also really like the little dish of sea salt and the steamed egg. I'm so used to AYCE places where you have to cook yourself but it was nice to have them cook for you and make the food perfect. We got the beef bundle and it was a good amount of food for 2 people.
google avatar

Curtis A.

Yelp
Food was great, service was awesome and our waiter Heather was very nice. The seaside decor gave the restaurant a cozy, coastal feeling. Would totally recommend!
google avatar

Sunny L.

Yelp
Came here multiple times as I love coming here for kbbq! I love that they cook the meat for you! Meat is great quality and the sides are unlimited. I do think the kimchi/soy bean paste soup on the side can taste quite salty, but it seems like they have been improving its recipe as it wasn't as salty this time around.
google avatar

Yelp
Regarding purchasing gift cards, I strongly advise against purchasing them from this restaurant. I bought one as a gift for a friend, and when they attempted to use it, the card was invalid. We contacted the restaurant to resolve the issue and even provided proof of the purchase via a bank statement. Despite this, they refused to honor the card or issue a refund. At that point, it's hard to see it as anything other than theft. It's deeply disappointing--and frankly unacceptable--for a business to treat customers this way.
google avatar

Yelp
Baekjeong is one of my favorite kbbq spots. It's not all you can eat, but you do get endless Bon chon and the meats come in a serving size that should be enough for two. The meats at Baekjeong are cut fresh to order, so you're not getting meat that's been sitting around for hours or even days. You can see the meat being cut fresh with every order behind glass windows. And the meat quality is always satisfying. Plus, the servers cook the meats for you at your table; typically at most kbbq you're cooking the meat. I recommend the skirt steak, btw. The service is excellent and you'll never feel ignored or wanting, as the staff is abundant and they all assist every customer. The ambiance is fun and can be a bit loud at times, but it's never felt obtrusive or like it's interfering. If you get there most nights after 6 PM you may have to wait for a table, but the wait shouldn't be too long. Parking is, more often than not, difficult. You can find a spot in the lot, but I tend to park on the south side of the street on Las Tunas. It's usually easy to park there. Also, the prices might be a touch more than most other kbbq spots, but it's worth it for the quality and service they offer. They also serve alcohol if that's your jam and they have larger tables to accommodate big groups. Overall, this place is worth your time and $.

Yelp
We came on a weekday lunch so there was no wait. Our party of 2 ordered the small Hodong's Favorite Combo as we wanted both beef and pork. It came with beef brisket, boneless short rib, pork belly, and marinated pork steak for $74. The meat was good quality and the portion was the perfect amount for 2 people. There were a good variety of banchan such as fish cake, 2 different salads, 2 different types of kimchi, and more. The combo came with a choice of soybean or kimchi stew. We opted for the soybean and loved that it came with tofu, clams, and meat in it. The corn cheese and steamed egg on the side of the grill are always delicious, but make sure to eat them quickly or they start to burn halfway through the meal. Service was great as it was easy to flag a server down for everything we needed, and they cook all your meats for you. The restaurant is spacious and clean as well.

Yelp
Baekjeong has always been the go to kbbq spot for me since it's nearby! Quality is great for its price point and it satisfies when I have the craving for kbbq. It can get crowded on the weekends but they have a very good system going. Walk up, put down your name and number and they text you when the table is almost ready. It's almost always less wait time than anticipated. What prompted me to finally come and leave a review was that we were greeted by the manager, David, during my recent visit. He was table touched and was very attentive, even though we already had two servers helping our party of 8 -- thank you, Vincent and Peter, for taking care of our family and ensuring that our meats were cooked to perfection. It's always a good time and will continue to be a staple of ours.
google avatar

Susan C.

Yelp
Came in on a Thursday at 4pm, in time for their happy hour. Given the time of day and the smoky skies due to the wildfires during the time I went, there was no wait at all, but I believe typically there would be a long wait for a table. For 3 people, we ordered Hodong's Favorite Combo (Small), which came with brisket, boneless short rib, marinated pork steak, and pork belly. We ordered soybean stew with our combo. Since it was happy hour, we also ordered japchae and seafood pancake appetizers for 50% off. This was more than enough food for us to all be stuffed by the end of the meal. Meats were delicious and tender, and the dipping sauce paired so well with the meat and side dishes. The appetizers were also giant portions and tasty. The egg and corn cheese on the side of the grill cook pretty quickly, so would recommend nibbling on those earlier rather than later. This is a nicer KBBQ spot where the servers will cook the meats for you, so it was nice not having to worry about when things were ready to be eaten. Good spot to go with a group of people, and I'd come again.

Lauren B.

Yelp
High quality food, high quality service. Baekjeong makes my heart and stomach happy every single time. Whenever I crave KBBQ, Baekjeong is where I go. The meats are always fresh and delicious, the side dishes are delightful, and the same applies to just about everything else on Baekjeong's menu. I love how lively it is in the evening, and how chill and cozy it is during the day. It's a great spot to enjoy good food with friends and family. I also appreciate that it's open late for long nights out. There's another Baekjeong in K-Town that's also good, but the Temple City location has free parking that's way easier to find, and the wait times are usually pretty reasonable. The plaza does get busy though, so on busy days you might have to park in the underground structure.

Yelp
Cool joint. They cook for you, but yiu can help. Music and vibe is cool. Hopefully you get a good server that keeps the mood light.

Yelp
I was so excited to eat here because we haven't had it in a long time. The brisket was really good! The marinated short rib was more tender than the boneless short rib. Loved the kimchi as well! The service though, not so much. I don't need them to talk to me or even pretend to smile or even ask us if we're fine. Heck if he said he's not feeling it and asked us to cook it I probably would be chill about it and cook it. But what irked me was the way our server set the food and the drinks down -- it was really aggressive, like almost slamming it down. It felt really uncomfortable and disheartening. If other customers annoyed you or you are having a bad day, please don't pass it on to people who had nothing to do with it. His name rhymes with Dustin.

Mandi T.

Yelp
I love Baekjeong!!!! They have the best meats, ambience and service. Brisket and beef are my fave. We came in for the seventeen promotion and Aiden was here for us. He kept bringing us all the banchan we wanted. Especially the cucumbers. Parking is easy, don't bother with the surface lot. Go straight down to the bottom lot.

Yelp
Delicious and authentic Korean Barbecue. My bff from NYC is visiting so I suggested we go here for lunch today after 2 p ( I mentioned in my first review that it was crowded when I went and suggested anyone coming here for lunch go after 2 PM!) Guess what? It was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed their rice bowls ( spicy pork belly and short rib) and a seafood tofu soup. The service was wonderful, the ambience, terrific, and very comfortable and we had a blast! So. I did return ;)

Yelp
Love that the service is super on point. They are quick to help you grill everything, no experience from the patron required. They don't rush you and they cook the meat very well. I would come back here again and not bring the kids so I can fully enjoy myself. We ordered the combos because it was just easier that way. So many sides!

Yelp
Food is great, but is there really bad Korean. Service is phenomenal, friendly and attentive! Who knew a restaurant could never be over staffed. Ambiance, great for being social. Good music and a fun-feel.

Yelp
~ wait time and ambience ~ Depending when you go, it can be a long wait. I went during opening on a Sunday this time, and we were sat within 5 minutes. As for the interior, tables are small but the vibe is always good. The staff are so friendly. With the amount of tables they have to take care of all at once. I'm always amazed how they never burn our food and always help us positively :) ~ pricing and taste ~ Quite fair for what you get and the QUALITY! Usually get a large combo, and this time there was four of us. We were sooo full! Got their beef tar tar this time and it was a little too sweet for me, but still YUMMY! You also get all the bonchon, egg, and corn. The tofu soup was the right amount of spice and I usually can't handle spicy. I wish they would give more rice paper as each little plate only has like 5 sheets. I feel bad always having to ask for more frequently. ~ parking ~ It's free but can get a little hectic. This plaza tends to stay busy, even on weekdays. I suggest always going underground to save the hassle of upstairs.

Yelp
My friends and i went here for lunch one day and it was very nice - we didnt have to wait at all. I didnt look at the menu so i didnt know how it worked - everything is either separate or a combo. It is not all you can eat. We got a large combo for 3 of us We got some delicious tender beef, marinated bulgogi, spicy pork belly, kimchi soup, pork slices and maybe brisket. This place is different in that they have cheese and corn and then egg around the grill that heats up and you eat it as a side. I wasnt expecting the staff to cook it for you and that was nice since my friends could focus on each other and not cooking. While i found everything to be delicious i do feel it was very over priced. I wouldnt come back due to that reason when i can get very elaborate ayce for $55. Or sushi for $40. I spent $50 just at this lunch. And our drinks were not refilled but our sides were. The restaurant is clean and a big space and everyone was professional. Plenty of parking. I would recommend to try it if you want a more fine-dining bbq experience.

Yelp
The food here is amazing. They ran out of the e marinated meats combo when I went, so I opted for the hodong favorites, which was still pretty good. Unlimited rice, sides, and egg/corn cheese refills. Our waiter was very nice and attentive and the atmosphere around the restaurant was very vibrant.

Yelp
Parking Free parking (check underground garage parking) Food Not AYCE. Good quality meat selection. Basic banchan options. Free bottomless hot tea. Service Solid service by the wait staff and best of all not too much smoke - best exhaust system Many locations in CA per their website - can't wait to visit again.

Yelp
Ive had KBBQ in Korea multiple times and this place still remains one of my favorite spots. I am a Baekjeong lover and although I prefer the Ktown location this one is much closer to the 626. This time we went on a Sunday around 12pm and were seated quickly with no wait. Our waiter honestly took forever to tend to us but once we ordered and started eating the food was so good I didnt even care that much about the service. We ordered the Large beef combo w/ soybean soup, extra banchan sides, and a bowl of rice. The large combo realistically serves 3 til full if you're eating everything on the table as in finishing the sides, the soup, the egg, and the meat etc, but if you're strictly coming for meat it wont fill you up just with the meat by itself. The meat was cooked quickly which we enjoyed and to our liking (medium rare). They don't serve broccoli as banchan anymore and their kimchi was not really that good. The kimchi was not fermented long enough and just lackluster. The salad bowl is small and not enough green quality pieces and it was the cheap parts of the romaine lettuce. I like that their rice paper was fresh and not hard like some places. They give refills of the corn cheese and the egg which we enjoyed. The star here is really the meat and although I prefer the plain meats over the marinated meats (like the marinated short rib) the meat quality is really good.

Yelp
I was so disappointed, and this was a wasted meal. First of all, the quality went down. The banchan had no flavor, the brisket was tough, the ribeye was also tough and had no flavor as well. The only meat that was decent was the marinated short rib. The egg was overcooked and so dry, and the cheese corn burned immediately. As for the service, it was horrible. I felt our waiter was trying to rush us out of the restaurant and whenever I asked for more napkins, or rice paper, they gave me a dirty look and just placed it on our table and left. I also asked for salt and sesame oil and the waiter said they ran out of salt? Not sure how you run out of salt at a KBBQ place... I've had this chain before and it was better quality meats, service, and a more positive experience. I would not come back to this location and honestly this chain. All you can eat places are so much better than this and the food quality blows this one out of the park.

Yelp
A great place to get quality KBBQ and not overeat. Every time I've been here the wait times aren't actually that bad? It looks like there's a crowd outside but wait times were like 20 minutes or so on a Saturday - not bad at all! Staff here is friendly and down to refill anything, but it's definitely kinda hectic inside since they cook for you and gotta attend to other tables. I will say there's been a few times they forgot stuff but we just ask again and they just bring it again. My go-to is the beef special - for 3-4 people we get the large portion and it's enough to feel full. My friends get rice (which we found out is included) so the meal can be filling. Overall good experiences here and I never had any major issues at this location. Food quality and how meat was cooked has been consistent upon each visit which is a huge plus. Staff is friendly and we typically even have some small talk with our servers haha. Great vibes and good food, can't go wrong with that!

Yelp
Great value, flavorful fresh food. The meat is cut fresh to order and you can see it behind the glass. The service is friendly and attentive, even on a busy Saturday night. Great music and decor. You get free refills of side dishes, corn cheese and egg.

Yelp
Love the food and the service!!!! Everything is so good here! I love that they cook your food so you have more time to focus on eating and spending time with family and friends! Our server was so nice and attentive. He cooked our meat just the way we liked it! The manager Linda was even so kind to help me get hot water to help warm my son's water when she saw me getting his milk out of the cooler!!! They really go above and beyond here! 10/10 recommend!!!

Yelp
Have been a tad hesitant to try this because it was not all you can eat, what a mistake that was! As I got older I really start caring more about meat quality rather than all you can eat. The ambiance is pretty typical of a Korean bbq restaurant but was definitely surprised by the sheer quantity of tables available in the space. Meat quality is unbeatable. We got the small beef combo and it was more than enough food for me and my husband. It includes brisket, short ribs, rib eye. What's different is that the servers will cook for you. We tried to cook the meat and was surprised when they took over but happy they did so. Each combo comes with steamed egg and corn cheese that is cooked on the side. And Banchan is pretty inclusive as well. Overall great kbbq meal. Will definitely come back!!

Yelp
Baekjeong has always been the OG for me--it's my favorite spot in Koreatown from way back when. Now that it's a chain, you'd think the quality might drop, but not for Baekjeong. It's just as delicious as ever! The Temple City location is my go-to now, and the best part? Wayyy less wait times compared to other spots I used to frequent in chaotic K-town. Most of the time, there's no wait at all, which makes the whole experience even better. We always get the beef combo for 2 with the short ribs, and it never disappoints. The quality of the meat is amazing, and everything is cooked to perfection. It's one of those meals that always hits no matter how many times you've had it. If you're craving Korean BBQ without the chaos of K-town lines, this spot is a no-brainer. Still my favorite after all these years!

Yelp
The service here is amazing and the staff are incredibly nice. I came here with a large party and not only did they seat us quickly, they were incredibly nice, cooked the ordered meat quickly, and provided more sides regularly. The food was also really good. We got the favorites combo and all of the meat was cooked perfectly and the sides were all tasty.

Yelp
Overall, it's a nice little place, set up for Korean barbecue. Overall, I enjoyed the food and the selection of meats. For a party of three, we spent around one hundred seventy dollars.
