Wonderful experience! Just entered and the staff were so welcoming. Good vibes and they did the winter decoration which was nice. Food was amazing- meat so fresh!! Okay caveat, if you are coming here with half a dozen football players and you just want the bang for your buck and eat meat endlessly- this is not the place. But for people like me who don't benefit from AYCE anymore, and prefer quality meat and a comfortable family experience, then this is definitely the place. Here, they cook the meat for you. That was new for me- but it was good experience. The people here work very hard, and constantly on their feet. The sides were good, and their menus are quite fair for the price and quality. I had a great experience, and each table sits about 6 comfortably. The tables are spaced comfortably and there is often plenty of seating. I came for lunch and so it wasn't as busy- but I'd imagine for dinner and busy days, it can be packed and the wait can be a while. Price is higher compared to most Socal KBBQ places...but for the price, the quality, the vibe- I can't think of many places that can beat this restaurant. 5-star for me. Enjoy!

Food was excellent! Service was good, as they cook the meats for you. Price is definitely more expensive than the average AYCA Korean bbq but you taste the higher quality. We end up getting the HODONG'S FAVORITE combo ($79) beef tongue ($45) and glass noodle ($19). Oh also try their Mango Pineapple Sparkler ($6), all are very good!Recommend getting a reservation or else wait time might be long.

I left this restaurant with mixed feelings. Before the pandemic, this place was always busy with huge crowds and long waits, but now there were only about 3-4 occupied tables during lunch. It was definitely more relaxing to eat with fewer people, and the food tasted fine. However, I didn't find the staff to be very friendly or attentive. I just wish the experience had been better.

Excellent place for Korean BBQ. If you're celebrating a special occasion and don't want to be turning short ribs, this place does all the heavy lifting for you. They do absolutely everything for you except eat. They bring water, and have all the salad and banchan there at the table before you sit down. The server came to introduce himself and lighted the grill. He started cooking our brisket and came back in a minute to turn it over. He took it off the hot plate when it was done, but we could eat it when it was still on the plate. I asked him when it was ready to eat. Next, he brought the New York steak or rib eye. He cooked it perfectly, asking how I wanted it cooked. Third, he cooked the marinated boneless short ribs. We asked for more salad, rice wrappers, and spicy tofu. All sides are all you can eat. I gave it 4 stars because it was pretty pricey and the 2 of us had enough food, but in regards to the beef, we could have eaten more. I was glad for the experience. But I can only do this on special occasions if you know what I mean.

I love this place, very good quality of beef and pork. We got boneless short rib and beef bally. Our server, Eugene, he is really friendly, he remembered us from second time we visited, and he cooked really well on the beef. He cooked the perfect beef! Best K BBQ in town.

The only bad thing was we waited a long time for our table to be ready but we came at a night where it would be busy, the day after Thanksgiving! Super crowded and for good reason. The meat here is so tender and so fresh, I couldn't get over it. The server cooked our meat perfectly and it was nice to just sit back and relax. I just wish we could have more meat but it wasn't an AYCE place so we had the 3 meats and then that was it. I loved everything especially the non-marinated meat. Side dishes were good, but wish the salad was better.

I had a rocky start to my visit at baekjeong temple city store due to a tech glitch with our seating arrangements, but the team here really turned things around. A huge thank you to the manager, Danielle, for stepping in so professionally. She handled the situation with grace and made sure we were comfortable, transforming what could have been a negative experience into a positive one. Once we were seated, Jeff did a fantastic job with the meal. It’s rare to find someone who handles both the service and the cooking so skillfully—the food was delicious and his service was top-notch. It is great to see a team that truly cares about customer satisfaction. Thank you, Danielle and Jeff, for a great night! We will definitely be back.

This place was recommended to us by some friends, so we decided to give a try. Parking was kind of hard to find empty spot. The place has very nice atmosphere to it. The service was very attentive and friendly. They will do the cooking for you. They will even change the griddle too according to the type of meat you’re having. The kimchi soup was very good, the right amount of spices. My favorite was the marinated short ribs, very soft and buttery and the sesame oil gave it that sesame flavor to it was awesome. Little bit pricey but over all is good.

Great food, even better service. Our server Chain gotta be one of the greatest servers that I've ever had, not only cooking the food to perfection but listening to most of our questions like more sides. Also a funny guy having really great spirits. Give this man a raise, he deserves it.

This place was recommended to us by a friend,so we decided to give a try. Parking was kind of hard to find,we took like 15mins to park our car. We ordered a Combo, beef tongue, and bibimbap .The quality of the meat was good.but The bibimbap wasn't that good,I couldn't finish anyway. Overall, food was good,just Little bit pricey.

Dined in for lunch on 1/2/26. It was only 1/3 full for a Friday. Food ordered: Beef combo small, 4/5. The beef combo was delicious! It came with 3 meats, brisket, marinated short rib and ribeye. The waiter/waitress cooks for you so that's nice, but the grill cooks fast, so sometimes it does get burnt. I do like to eat my kbbq slower because I mix my meats with all of the sides. All the meats were delicious though. The combo comes with a soup, but it is too salty. Lunch special beef, 3/5. This was interesting because the waiters and waitresses never seen this one before. The meat is precooked in a hot skillet with this sweet sauce. It comes with garlic rice which was tasty. Wait: No wait Parking: Plenty since it is a huge lot and has a underground garage Overall, it is quite expensive for an a la carte kbbq.

Baekjeong is one of my favorite places to eat. ::Food:: I usually go for the large beef combo, prime boneless short rib, seasoned prime boneless short rib, and thinly sliced brisket. Every cut comes out perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. They also serve banchan, and my favorite is the cucumber. I also love their sauce; dipping the meats in it adds so much flavor. The combo comes with stew, and I usually get the beef brisket soybean paste stew, which is rich, hearty, and comforting. ::Drinks:: They have a good selection of soju that pairs well with the meat. ::Customer Service:: Customer service at Baekjeong truly stands out. Peter is consistently warm and welcoming, always checking in and making sure everything is going well. Martin and Chain are just as on point, staying attentive to the grill and table so nothing is ever missed. The entire team works effortlessly together, creating a smooth and enjoyable dining experience from beginning to end. ::M's Notes:: - Indoor seating only. - Parking can be difficult since the lot is shared with other businesses.

I don't know what happened to my review I posted. But I'm going to reiterate the staff member at the front of the house, slim, think either Hispanic or native American, with that toby McGuire spider man 3 hair....that guy, is beyond rude, disrespectful and needs management to do some employee training on how to greet, meet and speak to customers nicely. We walk into the restaurant, wasn't condescending at all, just waiting for a table, and he gets aggressive at us, "Oh you don't need to stand so far away from me, I don't bite..." Bro we didn't even open our mouths to comment on anything.... And then in the most obnoxious way, takes us to our table with his back turned arms twisted and points at the table, "right there." Food was good as usual, service with all the other crew members consistent, but the specific staff really needs some managerial disciplinary action taken.,.just straight up rude and discriminatory....he has that, "I hate Chinese People Vibe."

My husband and I really enjoy the brisket here! In our most recent visit, we got the small combo. We definitely could eat a bit more than the meat they give but it's a good portion. Our server was Vincent and he was really nice and attentive. He checked up on us pretty often and was quick at making sure our meats were cooked to our liking. We definitely want to try the beef belly next time! Our only minor issue about this place was when we checked in for our reservation via Resy. Our time slot was for 8pm. We came in at 7:50pm to check in to let them know we arrived early but are here for our 8pm and he told us to come back at 8. The way he said it came a bit strong...he told us to wait outside and come back at 8. It did seem like he was a bit stressed with the amount of people he had to sit.

The quality of the meat is great! I ordered Hodong's Favorite Combo (brisket, boneless short rib, pork belly, and marinated pork steak) and was very satisfied with both the taste and the portion size. The "small" combo can easily feed up to 3-4 people. I also like the variety of banchan that they serve. On the other hand, I was quite disappointed with the large intestines (daechang). I usually love daechang, but the one here was too chewy and ended up burned. It was especially disappointing given how pricey it is. I would recommend sticking to the combo, as that's where the price and quality really feel worth it. The service is overall good, though some of the workers are definitely more attentive and friendly than others. The restaurant shares a decent-sized parking lot with other businesses in the plaza, but finding parking can be difficult during lunch and dinner hours.

Great food and lively atmosphere. Dined here twice recently. One late lunch and another early dinner. Both time the dining room was not full, but we were told to wait. I can imagine how it might be during the weekend dinner rush, one might be waiting for more than an hour. Once seated we got the assortment of salad, banchans, steamed egg, cheese corn. We had the beef combo with short ribs. Each meat was very good quality and was cooked perfectly by our server. The best part was the excellent vent system that sucked up 90% of the smoke and smell. It's nice to come out of a Korean bbq meal and not smell like smoked meat. I would recommend coming here during off hours to avoid the long wait times.

My family and I have always liked this location the most, and they still continue to confirm that. We came in the other day with friends visiting and the staff were amazing. We got there 30 mins early but we weren't seated until our reservation time, can't really be mad at that. We would really like to thank the staff for accommodating our reservation of 7 even though the site won't allow a reservation bigger than 6. My dad didn't read that and just added in the note it was a party of 7. (For anyone with a party of 7, reservations must be made via email for approval.) I'm so glad this location is now accepting reservations because they didn't used to in the past so we would arrive, hoping there wasn't a long wait. It did take a hot minute to get someone to place our order. I tried waving someone down but they just walked away from me. We got the Beef Combo, Hodong's Pork Combo, and an additional order of Ramyeon. Food was amazing, everything we ordered, including drinks, were brought out in a timely manner.

I felt that Baekjeong deserved another review after tonight's visit. My family chose it for Christmas dinner and I obliged. The service was very prompt, and unlike my last visit, the server cooked the meat nicely and professionally. I was never concerned about the quality of the food here, but this time there were no issues with cross-contamination, which made the experience much more enjoyable. Overall, it was a pleasant Christmas dinner.

I had such a wonderful experience at Baek Jong on Las Tunas! I was helped by Josue, and he was absolutely fantastic. Not only was he extremely pleasant and welcoming, but he also did a great job as our chef. His friendly personality made the whole meal even more enjoyable, and you can really tell he takes pride in what he does. The food came out perfectly, and his energy added such a great vibe to the table. If you come here, I highly recommend asking for Josue--he'll make your dining experience top notch. I'll definitely be back!

It's been a while since I last dined here so I was really looking forward to coming back. We arrived around 5 PM and there was no wait at all. Chloe was our server and she was so friendly! We ordered a small Hodong's favorite combo and an order of the beef tongue. The portion was perfect for our family and the meat was also pretty fresh. I had to knock off a star though because service was so so. I think Chloe is new so she was pretty stressed out working 4 tables. Some of our meat was burnt because she was too busy. I felt really bad so I tried not to ask for too many things but I feel like asking for corn cheese, egg, and refills on the banchan is pretty normal. We had to ask multiple times for refills though because either we were forgotten or they were too busy. We also asked for raw garlic and jalapenos but they said they ran out and had to chop them and will bring it to us when they finish chopping. We finished dining and our garlic and jalapeno never arrived. I left feeling full and content, but a bit disappointed in our service. I was also pretty disappointed in the guy that was training Chloe because I felt he was pretty mean how he was treating her.

One of the best Korean BBQ spot in the area! Love the meat combo selections with reasonable prices. Staff are always attentive & their alcohol selection is awesome! Finding a parking may be a bit tough but thankfully their meat is not. There's usually a wait but it's worth it since you'll leave happy after having a delicious meal. Highly recommended!

Sasha was great! We came in without a reservation with a large party and he was extremely helpful to get us seated right away. Great service!

I came here for Christmas dinner with my parents and waited about 40 minutes during peak dinner time. We ordered large Hodong's combo and spicy cold noodles, which came out really quickly. The noodles weren't the usual Korean buckwheat noodles, but rather the white noodles, so if you're not really into that, I would probably pass on the noodles, as there is definitely enough food with the combo for 3 people. The meats were really great - my favorite was the shortrib. It took me a while to realize the corn cheese and egg was on the side of the grill, and by then, the egg was a bit overcooked. The meats were cooked perfectly, and the large was definitely more than enough for 3 people, as we basically had to take the entire last plate of meat to-go. Pro-tip for those with an Amex Gold or Platinum - this is part of the Resy benefit, so although my total came out to about $200, I received a credit to help alleviate some of the bill.

If you don't want ayce kbbq, this is a good option! They have a nice selection of set meat options and I like that it's cooked for you. I also liked that it came with egg and cheese corn. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time as the wait time can be long sometimes

We went to Baekjeong for lunch and it was hands down the best Korean BBQ experience I've had. Not only was the food amazing, but the whole experience stood out. From the moment we sat down, we were constantly taken care of--especially by David, who really made an impression. Our server was attentive as well, but David went above and beyond. The entire team worked together like a well-oiled machine, and it showed. Even though there was plenty of seating, I imagine the wait would never feel long with how efficiently they move. Our table was filled with banchan almost immediately, and within a minute of sitting down, food was already on the table. We ordered one of their combos for two, and it was more than enough with all the sides, rice, soup, and high-quality meats. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Baekjeong turned me into a fan--I'll definitely be back!

They used to be very good. Since they changed ownership, they changed. The side dishes are not as good. No longer have my favorites (side dish). Please bring back your old side dishes. But their service is still very good. They are professional and always make sure your meats are cooked properly and well. The place is usually clean and not as crowded as they used to be. I guess it is a good thing for us. The wait is not as long as it used to be. We will still come back and still recommend them.

Yum!! Baekjeong is certainly pricey but it's so yummy! I came with a friend and we ordered a small beef combo and it was so good! It came with a soybean stew, we chose ribeye, and there was lots of banchan, not to mention corn cheese and steamed egg! I wish rice was included but they're really generous with refilling your kimchis if you ask nicely. Large parking lot, service is great - they cook everything for you, and the ambiance is much more upscale than most other kbbq places. There isn't smoke everywhere and you won't go home smelling like meat!

ALL our Korean friends said to go here. So on our latest trip to SoCal we did. There are many locations in the LA area and they all had stellar ratings so you know this chain has gotten something right. Family of 5 we ordered the large beef combo plus a small side order of pork belly, plus some ramen noodles and seaweed. We were stuffed. The meat was awesome. Very well marbled and juicy (so nice that the waitress expertly cooked everything for us). We started with the brisket, then the short rib, then the marinated short rib, followed by the pork belly. Brisket was very good but nothing special compared to other KBBQ places. Short rib. Wow this is why you come here. Marinated short rib. So juicy and flavorful. Pork belly. November 2, 2025 2:15PM I got here around noon. I was greeted by the host. He was super kind and friendly. He had made sure to let me know everything and overall was super welcoming and friendly. He ended up seating me even though my party wasn't ready, so I wasn't just standing (they were coming from parking). When I got seated, I was waiting only like a couple minutes for my party to get to my table. Then my waiter didn't greet us or anything. Didn't even go over anything with us. I ordered the small beef combo. Food was overall delicious. I loved the selection we picked and the steamed egg and corn cheese. Unfortunately the server made it feel like we were inconveniencing him, by asking him for things we wanted. I had to flip the egg myself this time. I don't mind it but I didn't have to do that at the other locations I have been to. I also noticed whenever I ordered the marinated boneless short rib they will always change the grill to cook it. My server didn't do that so it did taste a little different to me. I didn't want to speak up because I already felt like we were inconveniencing him by being there. We didn't feel welcomed and felt like a bother. I used to come to this location a lot, and I feel like the service here had gotten worse. I don't have any issues with services at other locations. Please be a more welcoming server. If you don't like serving paying customers, then maybe this job isn't for you. The tab was around $140. We put down $200. Gave it to a worker & they had the audacity to ask if we need change? Well with that type of service and question of course im going to want change. You think im going to tip $60 for what just happened?

This used to be one of my favorite KBBQ spots, and while it's still good, it's not quite what it used to be. The food and overall experience are still enjoyable, but everything just felt a bit better before, from the quality to the overall wow factor. That said, it's still a solid choice and worth coming to if you're craving KBBQ. Just hoping it gets back to how amazing it once was.

My friend and I came here after a two hour long workout. After being extremely tired and hungry from exercise, we were craving Korean barbecue so we decided to come here. We came on a Tuesday afternoon around three and there was no wait - we were seated within five minutes of our arrival. We came on a day where it was over 90°. I very much appreciated that this restaurant had their AC on blast!! As soon as we sat down, everything was already set up for us - banchan, water, and sauces! Our waiter, Tim even brought out barley tea for us (from my own request). We decided to go for the small beef combo - all three cuts of meat were extremely fresh and tasty. Tim was so kind and attentive - he cooked all of our beef to perfection & was always checking in on us to make sure we were taken care of, and that we were fully stocked with the sides! The small beef combo does come with a lot of food -between my girlfriend and I, there were plenty of leftovers and enough to take home for a second meal! This is probably one of my favorite non-all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue options in the 626! Will definitely come again.

Came here on the fly today and Chain was our server. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the meats and cook styles with the grill. Most importantly he did everything with a smile and made us feel very welcomed. It can get chaotic in here with all the tables and cooking but he was awesome. Food delicious as always!

Came here with a party of 15 to celebrate a birthday on a Saturday evening. Note: If you want to bring a cake in, I'd recommend dropping it off a maximum of a couple of hours before your meal. I dropped a cake off around 12 PM, and the staff agreed to store it until the evening, but typically, they can only hold it for a couple of hours due to fridge space. Also, as far as parking, the lot can get a bit busy, as its shared with a variety of other eateries and businesses. They don't accept reservations; however, we showed up around 5pm and thankfully were able to get a long table near the restaurant entrance. Huge shoutout to our server Jeff who was very attentive and helpful amidst all the tables he was covering. We ordered a couple of the combos and all the meat was delicious! The servers cook the meat for you, and Jeff did a great job of ensuring the meat was consistently replenished. We enjoyed the soup and all of the banchan dishes as well. I'm growing to love a la carte kbbq places as it allows you to eat quality meat without leaving overly full. If you're craving yummy kbbq, I'd highly recommend paying a visit to Baekjong!

Excellent service! Food was great especially the pork belly and the marinated boneless galbi! The pink-pickled daikon was the right amount of tang and crunch -- goes really well with the meats. We went on a Saturday night, busy, we were a party of 7 but we were seated quickly. I would definitely go back again if I was in the area.

The location is easy to find, parking is also easy to find once you navigate through the structure. Its right by the teapot fountain. This is $$$ for two people. They personally cook the meat for you so you can enjoy all the other foods at your leisure. They give you plenty of side dishes to eat while you wait. We came late in the afternoon and it was quiet, not too many people. Staff is super friendly and gave us extra water because it was hot and we were thirsty. Their japchae (sorry if I spelled it wrong) was so delicious! And it was great as a leftover meal the next day! We got the marinated short ribs, brisket and non-marinated short ribs platter and a side of pork belly. We will come back, but not as often as we'd like due to the price, but loved our experience!

I've been here quite often. It's a great alternative to the usual AYCE bbq I usually eat. Service is great. The place has some pretty good kimchi fried rice, soup, and meats. Overall pretty good.

This is not your typical AYCE KBBQ spot BUT they do serve pretty high quality meat combo sets AND the server does all the grilling! Parking can be difficult especially on the weekends because it's located in a busy plaza but they have an underground parking garage. Service was very nice and attentive. Love that the servers do all the grilling! It can get pretty loud especially when it gets busy so it might be hard to communicate with one another. There are 10+ different combo sets to choose from. Expect to pay $83+ for each set. However, each one contains A LOT of food! Got the Combo S ($82.80) and it consisted of brisket, boneless short ribs, pork belly, and marinated pork steak. All the meats were very good quality and not too fatty. The brisket was my favorite, so flavorful and tender! This was 9/10 The banchans were very good and the corn cheese was the BEST! So cheesy and sweet! Would recommend and return

The food was spectacular and despite the increased food prices, you always walk away after dining at Baekjeong full, happy, and satisfied. Shout out to SASHA, our amazing host who greeted us with the friendliest smile! Waited an hour at the Temple City outpost of this SoCal KBBQ chain. Had been to the Irvine version before and knew this chain offered good quality meals. The three of us shared the small meat combo consisting of brisket, boneless Kalbi, pork belly, and marinated pork. We also shared their brisket, truffled fried rice.... More than enough for three and suitable for four. Ventilation was good with the powerful suction fan, music was hopping with modern KPOP tunes, service was good as they grill and cut the meat for you, you'll need to ask for sesame salt, more rice wrappers, more Banchan, etc.. parking can be a challenge in the large lot because of so many popular restaurants within this strip mall. Good place to take a family of four.

Pretty good KBBQ spot! We ordered the marinated beef combo, and it was just the right amount of food for two people. All the meats were great, except for the pork--it turned out a bit dry if overcooked. That might've been on us, since we couldn't eat it fast enough before it dried out. One of my favorite parts is that every table gets steamed eggs and cheesy corn. Both pair so well with the meat. The side dishes were solid too--I especially loved the onions mixed with red sauce, which complemented the meat perfectly. The dipping sauces here are simple: just salt and a house-made Korean soy sauce that's tangy and slightly sweet. It went really well with the brisket. We also tried the soybean soup, but in hindsight, we probably should've gone with the kimchi one. My boyfriend wasn't a fan of the soybean, so maybe the kimchi would've been better. It's a bit on the pricey side, but I think it's worth it since the servers cook the food for you. Overall, I'd definitely come back! :)

This was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had, and that says a lot because this is my first ever review I'm writing. I came to Baekjeong with three friends and we ordered the Large platter, which is advertised as feeding 4-6 people. That claim is completely inaccurate. The portion was shockingly small--nowhere near enough for four people. All of us were still hungry afterward, and we are not big eaters by any means. Realistically, this "Large" could feed one, maybe two people at most. Advertising it otherwise is misleading and unacceptable given the price point. Service was equally frustrating. An employee explicitly told me I would receive a free appetizer, yet we were charged for two appetizers--and only received one. When we pointed out the mistake, it took 20-30 minutes just to get the receipt back so we could correct the bill and pay. Instead of resolving the issue efficiently, we were kept waiting even longer just to leave. To make matters worse, we asked for rice multiple times (at least 6-7 requests) and it was never brought out. We eventually gave up asking altogether. Being ignored over something so basic is unacceptable. Between misleading portion sizes, billing errors, excessive delays, and poor service, this experience felt disorganized and careless. I would not recommend this location, especially if you're dining in a group or expecting value for your money.

Went here for my mom's birthday dinner today & the food was delicious as always. What really stood out was Peter, our server!! We definitely appreciated his cheerfulness and quick timing all throughout dinner. Thank you! I also tried the new banana milk mocktail, and it's very good. I love how it's real banana and tastes fresh.

Baekjong is easily the best KBBQ spot in the 626 area! Good quality meats with wonderful selections of complimentary & unlimited sides (corn cheese, steamed egg, kimchi, fish cakes, salad, cucumbers, rice paper, peppers). I like how the server cooks the meats for us and are very attentive to our requests. I ordered the Premium Seared Pork Belly and the Prime Beef Belly. Both were insanely good; the beef belly melts in your mouth and the pork belly slices were thick! I love how the dipping sauces/garlic salt & pepper pair so well with the meats. I was a little surprised that the beef belly came marinated as it wasn't stated specifically in the menu and I am personally not a fan of marinated meats. However, it still tasted pretty good! It's a pretty big establishment, but there is always a long wait. I came on a Friday night around 6:30PM and had to wait 35 minutes for a table of 2. There is a lot of parking within the plaza as well (free). Dining here is also on the pricier side.
