"Billed as a 'casual, Italian-inspired restaurant,' the menu features dishes using Baffi's wood-burning hearth oven, like cast iron trout, wood-seared shrimp salad, and Waxman's roast chicken. Look for shared and small plates on the menu, such as braised pork and veal meatballs, roasted oysters, and Waxman's gnocchi and kale salad." - Beth McKibben

Let me start with the customer service..Simply amazing 5 ⭐️ across the board. The manager was so personable and welcoming. The server was great along with her recommendations. They were all a hit!! The chef was on point. He was shined on by the sunshine. He's simply life-changing in the kitchen.Everything was so flavorful and tasty. The food was quickly delivered to the table and our overall experience was amazing. I definitely recommend you do yourself a favor and stop by. Your stomach will thank you. Don't forget to tell them I recommend you.

Off to a great start at the newest offering in Atlanta’s Midtown West. An Italian “inspired” restaurant by chef Jonathan Waxman, who humbly puts his initials on the menu specials. The restaurant offers a small market area, a large, open dining room and kitchen with a nice patio and large bar. Great bar with wonderful service, classic cocktails and a concise but good wine list. We also tried the braised pork & veal meatball, served over mascarpone grits… very good start. Our friends arrived and we chose our dinner and appetizers from a nice but limited menu. I must say that everyone was very pleased with their choices. The gnocchi was good, the flank steak was tender, but I was somewhat disappointed. I ordered the “new” item on the menu… the “Gulf Mahi farro. Offered with radish, herb salad and a brown butter vinaigrette it sounded promising. What I received was was a small narrow piece of “over cooked”, lukewarm piece of tough fish. Very disappointed. Even though I personally had a bad experience, I am willing to give them another try. Maybe I’ll just hangout at the bar with John. 👍

Compliments to the chef!!! And John the bartender! Wow, wow, wow! The starters pizza & Bruschetta was so delicious! Let’s talk about this kale Salad so simple but bomb! Then we had the JW chicken oof so much flavor with the parm crusted potatoes! And the gnocchi was pretty good with a corn sauce!

Ah-mazing Italian!! From the ambiance, to the espresso martini, to the service - Baffi has got it going on. You can’t wrong with anything on the menu but especially love the rigatoni and bruschetta. Wine selection is great as well. Can’t wait to enjoy that patio wither the wonderful service, Alec is fantastic!

I really wanted to love this place, but it wasn’t my favorite. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t awesome. I would feel bad giving it 3 stars, but it doesn’t feel 4-star worthy either. I had a vegetarian gnocchi dish that was decent, but the best thing I tried was a kale side salad that my brother ordered with his fish (also decent). We did also have a wine that I took a picture of to purchase later, though.

My husband and I came here for dinner last night for the first time. Everything was delicious! We especially enjoyed the kale salad, roasted chicken, and the gnocchi was our favorite! Service was excellent and loved having our meal on the patio, we will definitely be back.

A really imaginative and delicious menu. We had a party of 10 and had terrific service. The restaurant is themed "Italian" however it has a really unique, southern twist. Risotto with black eyed peas and smokey collards, fabulously tender hanger steak with a pepper sauce, and the whole, fried okra is a must have appetizer. And best of all the prices are excellent. I will come here again!
