How to Plan the Perfect Ski Trip to Courchevel, France

"A chic, party-minded lunch spot located at the top of the Chenus Gondola that doubles as an excellent après destination (note: closes at 4 p.m.). The menu leans French Mediterranean; the seared scallops are singled out as a must, the artichoke salad is recommended, and the truffle pizza is another favorite. Expect bubbly and a lively atmosphere—plan a last run around 2 p.m. and head over for a drink and dancing." - Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist and co-founder of Be a Travel Writer, an online course for the next generation of travel journalists. Absolutely unacceptable. A complete joke of a place. The same lie every single time: “We are fully booked.” Yet inside, plenty of empty tables sitting unused. This is not about capacity — it’s about arrogance and selective door politics. I contacted them well in advance and still got the same lazy, dishonest answer. Clearly, reservations mean nothing here unless they feel like letting you in. The door staff are shockingly rude and disrespectful. No basic manners, no hospitality, just pure attitude. You are treated like an inconvenience rather than a guest. This is not exclusivity — this is bad management hiding behind fake “we’re full” excuses. For Courchevel standards, this is embarrassing. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Plenty of better places nearby that actually respect their guests.

Great mix of food, view, atmosphere, sun and good music. Easy to arrive via remonte Chenus for both skiers and non skiers. Food arrive quickly and price is reasonable for what you receive. First service is a bit quieter than the second. Desserts are excellent however it will take 15-20 min to arrive to the table. Two suggestions. Make sure to bring sunglasses and cream as the sun shines strongly and the restaurant should offer hats for the sun instead of referring fo the boutique to purchase one.

I don’t understand the bad reviews. For us it was a superb experience - fantastic service from the start to the end, all of the staff were extremely friendly and polite and attentive, very fun vibe, gorgeous views, delicious food and cocktails! Cannot wait to come back!

Great food, music, espectacular view, but the service terrible, we have reservation at 1:30 PM and you can’t order food after 3 Pm, They practically kick you out of the place; the waiters run around like a stampede, very anxious and stressed.

Don’t bother, Ibiza final boss won’t let you in at the door.

Rude waiter and super expensive. Also super loud. People are coming to the mountains to relax not listen to your stupid music. Food is average, nothing special.

Such a good vibe! Very good service, friendly staff and overall a great ambaince. You just have to reserve ahead of time because it's really popular. If you are in Courchevel, it is a must see. They also have a great photographer, you can take pictures and later order for printing. It is a bit expensive 35 EUR per picture but it might be worth it.
