Where to Find the Best Bagels in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"With locations in Sandy Springs and Alpharetta, Bagel Boys serves fresh-baked bagels in traditional flavors, including everything, sesame, egg, and cinnamon raisin. But the shop does offer some fun flavors, like banana nut, jalapeno cheddar, and chocolate chip. Top a bagel here with everything from schmear, lox, and onions and tomatoes to Nutella and peanut butter. The menu also features hot and cold deli sandwiches, soups, and salads." - Beth McKibben

Great Bagel Experience! The jalapeño cream cheese is amazing. Iced chai is also amazing! Will try again

Google
Great spot and good bagels. Wish there were more bagel sandwich options with meat. Good prices

Google
Friendly staff! I got the salmon Lox bagel, it was very good. The bagels are made fresh and you can tell!

Google
This is a very convenient and economical place for your lunch. They close bit early at 2pm, sometimes I have seen their popular donuts go out of stock early. I like this place as they run specials time to time. One thing I have observed at least 3 times is, they do not follow instructions when you customize your order. I have seen people stormed out of the store too. Below are the items I tired and their ratings Ever Roast Chicken Club - 10/10, Jalapeno Bagel with Chicken - 10/10, Ever Roast Chicken Wrap - 10/10.

Google
I'm surprised I hadn't reviewed this place yet because my partner and I go here at least a few weekend days a month. it's one of our go-tos for a reason: the bagels are always incredible. I get the lox sandwich with butter instead of cream cheese and when I'm not eating it, I'm craving it. perfect sandwich. my partner is somewhat picky but also loves this place. we've never had a hard time finding parking, although sometimes only one spot will be left. it's tight, but it works. they're always super fast and have a good choice of drinks, both coffee and otherwise.

Always Love

Google
I can’t say enough great things about Bagel Boys Cafe in the Perimeter. Every time I come in the guys behind the counter are very friendly and very patient when taking your order. I love the variety of bagels that taste fresh. As a native of Jersey moving to the south it’s been incredibly difficult to find really good bagels in the area. I’m a huge fan of the Ghirardelli white chocolate mocha and the thin and crispy hash brown I love to cut and half as it fits perfectly in my breakfast sandwich . This is definitely the go to breakfast spot if you’re looking for great service and really fresh start to your morning .

Google
The parking at this location is a bit difficult when you pull into the parking lot. Go left. If there's no parking, look to tree line to the left. There's 15 additional parking spots. My food was okay at best. The turkey wasn't warm. The bread wasn't warm either. If the turkey and the bread was warm it would be quite good. The Panini crust is not the same from one section of the bread to another.

Yelp
I had an Asiago egg, sausage and cheese bagel with jalapenos cream cheese on top... DELICIOUS!! These people really understand the perfect ratio of bagel to cc and it made my heart so happy. Some places PACK on the cc and it can make the sandwich extremely messy and bad. This sandwich tasted fresh and delicious and was very easy to eat. I got it to go and everything kept well

Yelp
The bagels and also the breakfast sandwiches were exceptional. I am from New York so I look for bagels all the time trying to find a little piece of home and they were close enough ! The services was good as well, very kind . And it's in a perfect location around everything !

Yelp
I recently visited this place for grabbing some quick morning bagels as breakfast. We tried their Jalapeño cheddar and Sun dried tomato bagel. They tasted really good and fresh. Would highly recommend for a quick grab and go breakfast.
google avatar

Chandrika R.

Yelp
I was craving a bagel and this was one of the closest places to my house. This was disappointing. There was the minimal amount of lox to cover the surface of the bagel and it was nothing special in the sense of taste. For $12, this was underwhelming. I'll be going to Goldberg's next time.

Yelp
This is good place for a snack. My go to order is toasted bagel and coffee and both are done right here. Other food items are available here. Need to try other items. Service is prompt and friendly. Nice indoor and outdoor seating if the weather permits. See my pics. Located on busy Peachtree Dunwoody road with free limited parking in front of the restaurant and more spots around the corner. Usually stop here when I am going to Costco across the street. Nice change from the food court at Costco.
google avatar

Yelp
Friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Good place to have a conversation, too. Tucked away across the street from Costco this is a worthy stop if you're in the mood for a bagel and coffee. I had an egg and cheddar on a everything bagel with a large drip coffee. Not a life changing bagel by any means, but it's a really good value and scratches the bagel itch. The highlight of the bagel was definitely the seasoning. It was on point. The coffee was really solid, and I would also order that again.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute!! Deli style atmosphere! Fresh hot breakfast!! My bagel was yummy. They even had Tobasco !! I'd enjoyed the seating area and friendly service. I'll be back!

Yelp
Ambiance was excellent for relaxing while my car was being serviced, and I was surprised by how delicious my dirty chai was! I'm always on the hunt for the best dirty chai, and this one surprisingly was up there. The service was prompt and polite, and it was definitely one of the more affordable coffee shops I've come across as of late-- less than $5 for an almond milk chai latte with 2 shots of espresso? Absolutely!!
google avatar

Noah Mark B.

Yelp
Good quality bagels, the smoked salmon sandwich was good served open face with red onions, capers and tomato, I requested the jalapeño cream cheese for a little bit of a kick it wasn't too spicy in a good way. Coffee was good, they have a coffee bar for hot coffee and made me an iced behind the counter. Definitely a solid choice for the suburban Atlanta area.

Yelp
food was really good and fresh! kinda small inside but it was cute and comfy. food was ready pretty quickly, would love to come back :)

Yelp
Delicious chewy bagels, lots of flavors. Cheddar and French toast were unique. Strong, delicious iced coffee and lattes. Consistently Friendly service on multiple visits while in town for a few days.

Yelp
My favorite bagel spot ever!!! I am in love with their cheddar cheese bagel and everything bagel. I love that it has so much cheddar cheese on the top and no skimping out on it, and the same goes with the everything bagel seasoning. They have a variety of cream cheeses: -plain -spinach and artichoke -chive -lite plain -honey almond -veggie -maple walnut raisin Service is always very friendly and quick. I can always count on Bagel Boys to get me my favorite bagel. They do also have a plethora of breakfast sandwich options from breakfast sandwiches with or without egg, to soups & salads, and other hot food specialties (like a tuna melt, or roast beef sandwich). I'd be curious to venture more past my favorite bagel order, but can never go wrong with a classic. This location has limited parking spaces directly in front of the store, but there is parking available in the shopping complex that it is within.

Yelp
Today, was my first visit to your Dunwoody location. I was very pleased with the service and food. Ordered a Turkey/bacon sandwich with potato salad. Chose cinnamon/hazelnut coffee for my drink. I am definitely going back but will try another yummy entree.

Yelp
Consistent, reliably good, expedient service. Love love love bagel boys, but let's change the name to be bagel girls and boys ;) I love popping in and treating myself some days of the week when I visit my office and it definitely kicks off the day right. The bagels are very good, taste fresh and when toasted it's still soft but has a nice crisp on the outer exterior. The atmosphere is nice, chill ambient mood during the times I visit and plenty of seating. The staff are masked up. With your order, they slip in a nice little mini muffin which is always welcomed. Its a bit on the pricey side but comparable to Einstein's prices, the flavored latte is a bit sweet but overall I enjoy their food here. The egg sandwich is a safe and always good option here that I recommend. Add ham, turkey sausage, or bacon for 75 cents

Yelp
Ngl at first i was like ummm idk. . . French toast bagel seems a little to crazy for me until i tried it! and let me tell you that bagel was FIREEEE! Super clean place! Affordable bagels! And service was great! Y'all better stop by, trust me when i say it's worth it! It's coming from a basic person that always order plain bagel! I stepped out my comfort zone for y'all!

Yelp
I think I just ordered the wrong thing. If I could tolerate gluten I'd order regularly.

Yelp
Sorry excuse for a breakfast sandwich. Powdered eggs and microwaved sausage. Could have made the same sandwich from the free breakfast at the residence inn.

Yelp
Came here at about 10:45 am yesterday morning. I wanted to get a bagel as a snack. Parking was easy to find at one of the three parking spaces that are in front of Bagel Boys Cafe and the dry cleaner next door. There are more parking spaces in the lot shared with other neighboring businesses. I walked into Bagel Boys Cafe, and the employee at the order counter just stood at the register looking at me, wordlessly, waiting for me to order. I ordered a cinnamon crunch bagel, toasted and with honey almond cream cheese spread on it. I was charged a higher price than what I believe was the correct price, so I was confused about that. While I waited for my bagel that I planned to eat here, I looked around and took pics. Some of the tables were dirty and needed to be cleaned and wiped down. Some of the tables were close to other tables, preventing proper social distancing. There are some tall stools to sit on at the high top table/counter against the front windows. There are tables outside the store, both in front and in a small side patio. The windows along the front and side of the store allowed for a lot of natural light to fill the indoor dining area. Three employees in the kitchen worked as a team to get orders out to customers quickly at the pick up window. A self serve beverage bar with coffee and fountain drinks was to the side of the pick up window. The employees at the pick up window called customers by their names. My name was finally called after about 10 minutes. My cinnamon crunch bagel was placed in a plastic basket for me to pick up at the window. The bagel was hot, split in half, and also cut in half, and the honey almond cream cheese had already been spread on the insides of the bagel. I didn't like that the cream cheese was also heated up. Cinnamon was on the top half of the bagel. I felt that the cinnamon flavor should have been bolder, instead of lightly flavored. The outside of the bagel was a little crunchy from being toasted, which was a good thing. Bagel Boys Cafe has a lot more on the menu than bagels, such as wraps, sandwiches, breakfasts, melts and salads, in addition to coffees, smoothies and other drinks. I felt that my experience at Bagel Boys Cafe was OK.

Yelp
Good bagel. Good coffee. I've driven by this place multiple times but never came in. Stopped in today- great place.

Yelp
We were looking for a place to eat after a doctor visit. This place was close, easy to park and sit outside. Wife had a wrap and I had a sandwich. Both were fresh and tasty. I asked for bagel chips as my side and no tomato. I got a bag of potato chips and two big slices of tomato. We also took some fantastic bagels home with us. I would return.

Yelp
BEST BAGELS I'VE EVER HAD If you want amazing bagels in ATL come here you will not be disappointed!! I've had better lattes but this is also a great place to work--very cozy.

Yelp
Honestly, the best bagel spot I've been to in Georgia! It's in the cut but the food was amazing. The service was fast and the lady who wool my order had such great energy. Definitely will be recommending and going back for lunch pretty often. I had a plain bagel and couldn't believe it could taste so good with the perfect fluffiness.

Ashley C.

Yelp
Tuna melt is amazing! I asked them to put it on a bagel and ordered via foodsby to my office. Everything I thought it would be and more!

Yelp
Found this hole in the wall spot randomly searching on Yelp! The service was great and the employees were fantastic! This will definitely be my new favorite spot!

Yelp
I sort of stumbled onto Bagel Boys right above the Perimeter. I was walking out of the Sandy Springs MARTA station and toward Peachtree-Dunwoody Road. I saw it at the base of a mid-rise apartment building. I looked through the windows and people were relaxing, eating bagels, and drinking coffee or tea. It looked nice and clean. I thought, "This is my kind of place. I need to come back." I went into Bagel Boys twice in just a matter of days. I liked the service I received and felt their prices were fair. That I like the location goes without saying, sitting under all those trees on the property, in the lawn strip, in the median, etc. It's nice to be inside here and look out at the greenery. I like the choices of tea at Bagel Boys In addition to Earl Grey, they have a Tropical Sunrise flavor - a black tea - made by Farmer Brothers. However, the main event is the bagels, and that is why this outfit goes from 4 to 5 stars. They have sun dried tomato bagels! Einstein's used to have them years ago, at least in FLL, but they dropped the ball in that regard. In other places, they give me that "deer in the headlights" look when I ask for them. Eureka! I have found them, and they are here. They have many other types of bagels. As such, I ate toasted sun dried tomato bagels with the "lite" vegetable spread and drank hot tea. The bagels were delicious. Another reason I could push toward 5 stars is that they have a few "whore house red" chairs in the dining area. I like these mostly because they make me laugh. Cars used to have interiors decked out like this during the era of the big American boulevardier. However, I sat at a table. It's a quieter place - which is a good thing - being that it's in the Perimeter Business District, and the breakfast and/or lunch crowd reflect(s) that. They have other locations, such as in nearby Sandy Springs and up in Alpharetta (Alfalfa-retta). This location's rounded corner window fronts Peachtree-Dunwoody Road, and there is some limited parking. It's an understated locale, but it's actually easy to find - across the street from Costco and just a block or two down from the Sandy Springs MARTA station.

Yelp
How is this a real cafe? I spent almost $20 for a white bread cafeteria sandwich and stale pasta salad with soup. The "roasted" turkey sandwich on sourdough bread was not roasted nor was it made on sourdough. The pasta salad was stale, and it came in the smallest little cup. I honestly thought it was a joke. I'm just sitting here trying to understand how this place is still in business? The sandwiches look nothing like their pictures, the food tastes gross, and it's expensive. Please shut down and allow a real restaurant to serve people food. There are many other restaurants who will appreciate being in this location more than you do.

April M.

Yelp
Asiago was the best of all! Great service with a smile! Wish it was closer to home but a nice treat!
google avatar

Yelp
This little spot is tucked away in a small business plaza in front of Costco. I ordered the avocado wrap which comes with eggs, bell peppers, and onion. It was very messy but good and came with a mini muffin. I asked for the bell peppers to be removed and it came with them. I also ordered the sugar free caramel latte which came perfectly sweet. The young man who took my order came around to ask how everything was which was a really nice touch. They have a decent sized seating area and nice lounge chairs and couch.

Yelp
I enjoyed everything about my visit to Bagel Boys, except the menu. Just kidding, I was overwhelmed with the choices and had no clue what to order. Thankfully, the lady at the counter was very nice and asked what I liked and made suggestions based on that. We are not familiar with the area, so we ended up parking a little ways away but there is plenty of parking in front and behind the cafe. For us it was little tricky to find, but if you are at Costco pumping gas, you can literally see the cafe across the street. We ordered a lox bagel with everything and a plain bagel with egg, cheese and turkey sausage. The place was empty on this Saturday morning, but everything looked fresh and the dining area was spotless. Again, customer service was nice and our sandwiches took leas than 10 mins to arrive. I was expecting your typical bagel....I have never tasted a bagel this good. They were chewy yet soft, fluffy yet toasty. My egg was cooked and sated perfectly, the sausage was delish, the lox was fresh and the capers were tangy. I really enjoyed bagel Boys Cafe and would drive out of my way to eat there again.

Yelp
Very cute spot with tasty bagels. This location offers a cute setting. The bacon, egg, and cheese bagel was quite tasty. The Ghirardelli latte mocha was not good at all but it was worth the try.

Yelp
Love my local Bagel Boys shop near Perimeter. This location is right across the Costco and Home Depot in Sandy Springs and near other local shops. There is free parking available for the retail plaza that it is in. I consistently get the Everything bagel with chive cream cheese...and my god is it the perfect morning treat, especially on a cold winter morning. A nice hot bagel soothes my body each and every time. For any road trips or morning errands, I love to start the day with a freshly toasted bagel from Bagel Boys. I've tried their Cheddar bagel as well and it is also a great choice. They whole top of the bagel is covered in cheese. I like when there is good bagel flavor. The have a variety of cream cheese options as well, but chive is my obsolete favorite.
google avatar

Yelp
I went by this morning to buy a Baker's Dozen pack for my staff. I like the way the bagels are self serve here so I don't hold up the employees while I decide what to get. The gentleman working the counter, who most likely was the owner, was very friendly and called me by my first name that he was able to read off of my credit card. I thought that was a very nice touch. The bagels were enjoyed by my staff. The store is right down the street from my work so I might stop here more often.
google avatar

WD S.

Yelp
First off, the restaurant isn't the easiest to find if your not from the area. Secondly, I swear I ordered a bagel sandwich with cream cheese but where in the world was the cream cheese that was supposed to be on my bagel? ‍
google avatar

Johanna V.

Yelp
I ordered the avocado breakfast wrap. The eggs seemed microwaved. The avocado tastes like the commercial avocado from Costco. Come on! You can guys can at least use fresh ingredients. No Bueno.

William R.

Yelp
I waited this morning for 10 minutes while staff not enough pulled large orders I left without food or acknowledgment and I come here 2 times a month when in town sadly have to find new spot Get it together boys!
google avatar

Naomi R.

Yelp
This was a cute little shop. Their egg sandwich bagel looked and tasted good according to husband, however my bagel, it was a cinnamon crunch ( which didn't taste like much) and very berry cream cheese. The cream cheese absolutely melted on my toasted bagel so it tasted like a bagel with go-gurt squirted on top. It wasn't great.
google avatar

Chris W.

Yelp
Bagels tasted good but all the coffee was empty and hadn't even started new brews, they also didn't have cheddar cheese for their cheddar egg sandwich. Fortunately the bagel was good as I also didn't realize my bagel breakfast sandwich didn't come with egg so that caught me off guard. Should have read the menu closer

D Y.

Yelp
The bagels and their coffee cake are quite good. Unfortunately, they are often out of popular bagel flavors. Not typical to go into a bagel place and hear they are out of sesame or everything bagels. This happens a lot, and always with the same response, "Someone just came in and bought them out."
google avatar

Melissa P.

Yelp
I've been in town visiting for about a week and a half and I've ordered from this place 4x now lol. The bagels rock, super fresh, dense, chewy. The bagel dog is enormous and delicious, the muffins fluffy and packed with chocolate chips (only flavor I've tried), the crumb cake is obscene, a huge thick topping of solid buttery/sugar goodness on top of a delicious, moist cake. I haven't tried any sandwiches or salads cause the bagels and sweets have been so good, but I imagine they're all awesome.

Yesenia T.

Yelp
The bagel were deliciou and fresh and great price. I will recommend when uou visit atlanta.
google avatar

Grecia C.

Yelp
I had an appointment nearby and saw this on my way home. I am so glad I did because it was DELICIOUS! I tried the jalapeño cream cheese on a toasted sesame bagel and it was soo good! The guy who took my order was kind enough to make recommendations and help me decide. I'm sad this place is so far from me about 45 minutes, but I definitely plan on coming because it was soo good!
google avatar

Leah B.

Yelp
Was hoping to have a NYC - bagel/bacon/egg/cheese - not a preface egg like McDonald's?, mediocre bacon snd cheese. Fresh eggs on a bagels is so needed if you want to call yourself a bagel spot. I do like the touch of a muffin that's complimentary Aa well as the good customer service.

Yelp
They dem boyz! That was my hope anyway, when me and a group of yelpers came in for some mid day bagels. Having never been to Bagel Boys Cafe, and not being a bagel expert, I was really excited for what bagel boys had to offer! We came around noon, so in addition to bagels (both savory and sweet), you have access to breakfast, Egg, and lunch bagel sandwiches. Other specials like Paninis, wraps salads and even bagel hot dogs complete the line up. On this day I ordered the westerner ($4.99), a french toast bagel + plain cream cheese ($2.75), and a cup of Jittery Joe coffee: ($2.29) Right off the bat, the french toast bagel was DEEEEELICIOUS!! I'd never even heard of a french toast bagel, and to be fair, to me it didn't taste french toasty, but those large granules of sugar sprinkled on the bagel, paired with the plain cream cheese, was really good! The bagel wasn't tough, super chewy or cakey either. Nice one guys! The westerner, which is an egg sandwich with egg, pepper jack, onion, bell pepper and ham on a multi grain bagel, sounded much better than it tasted I think. My main complaints were that I couldn't taste the cheese, the pepper jack had zero kick, and I couldn't taste the ham. The Jittery joe coffee was not a bad cup of joe, and with multiple self serve options, you can mix and match it however you like. Customer service at Bagel Boys Cafe is very friendly, and even though they couldn't answer certain questions I had, they happily went looking for the answer in terms of allergies. Parking is in a shared lot that isn't huge, but were enough for us all to get spots, and getting into/out of the lot onto Peachtree Dunwoody road wasn't bad. Nice little bagel shop, with some excellent eats that I hopes hangs around a while!

Yelp
I can't believe how laid back they are during the pandemic. They don't enforce wearing masks to the customers, which is mandated. The employees rarely wear their mask correctly and just put it at their chin and TOUCH THEIR MOUTHS. I had to grab my own order after I saw this employee bite at his nails and almost get it for me. I told him that I saw him put his fingers in his mouth and I can't allow him to touch my order. That is absolutely gross and horrifying, especially during the pandemic. Learn to enforce proper health regulation, Bagel Boys. I will not return after this.
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered from this deli for the first time through Foodsby. I ordered the Ultimate Club Sandwich with a side of potato salad. I looked at a few reviews and the pics on here regarding their food. I received my sandwich and I have to say it was pretty loaded. Sometimes when you spend a lot of money for sandwiches you get disappointed with the amount of meat and cheese they put on a sandwich. This sandwich really did remind me of sandwiches from home (Philly). The only thing that wasn't done was I asked for a side of mayonnaise. It was ignored. The potato salad came in a very small container. Again portion size is lacking or in question. It was however very good to which I was shocked because it's hard to find good potato salad down here in the South. I will order from here again and try out some other sandwiches. They have a various array of sandwiches.

Yelp
These people never follow directions. Will never go back here. How hard is it to make a bagel with butter?
google avatar

Suzanne L.

Yelp
I am from the New England area and I love New York bagels (water bagels). I have been away from New England for almost two years and have not had a real bagel for a long time. Today I dropped by bagel boys and their bagels are pretty darn close. Perhaps a bit too much salt for my liking. The bagel had the right crust/softness ratio. I also give them props because I wanted a sandwich on a bagel and they were nice enough to make that happen. I will be back and glad to have found a bagel shop.
google avatar

Virginia H.

Yelp
Great selection of bagels and cream cheeses. Really appreciated the good Everything bagel as I just had a really bad one not too long ago somewhere else. The staff was friendly and helpful as well!

Yelp
I was excited when I noticed some signs for a new bagel place in the area. So, after much deliberation, I decided to try it one morning. I saw some Yelp and website pictures, so I was thinking this was going to be a great morning. When I walked in, it smelled so good.. I couldn't wait to get to work and taste it! The man who took my phone order was the same one who rang me up and talked to me this morning. He was so friendly, I was pleasantly pleased. He even told me about this green, pistachio muffin they had and assured me this tasted delicious - so if I do come back this is what I'll order. My bacon, egg and cheese on a raisin bagel was - needless to say - meh. 5/10. I could've done without it and this isn't something I'd order again. I'm not fond of the eggs that are microwaved and fluffy; which is why I very seldom have a fast food breakfast. The bacon wasn't extraordinary and the bagel was pretty good. I may order a bagel again in the future but not very near future. I guess to each his own; but I won't be back any time soon. I'm a little disappointed, but there are other places to try in the area!
