The 8 Best Bagels In Miami

"Bagel Cove is in Aventura, and it’s a classic spot that's also proof that there are other things in Aventura besides a mall. We like the bagels here. They’re nothing too fancy, but they’re fresh and if you get a fish platter on the side, it’ll come on a fish-shaped plate. Isn’t that cute?" - ryan pfeffer, carlos c olaechea, virginia otazo

Bagel Cove Review - Aventura - Miami - The Infatuation

"There are other things in Aventura besides a mall. For example, the classic deli known as Bagel Cove. We like the bagels here. They’re nothing too fancy, but they’re fresh, chewy, and if you get a fish platter on the side, it’ll come on a fish-shaped plate. Isn’t that cute? There are also more deli favorites, like massive sandwiches, soup, and salads. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings" - Ryan Pfeffer

Google
Fantastic service, lovely counter setup with all the delicious spreads. Had a series of bagel breakfast sandwiches, with egg and cheese. We are stuffed! The portions are hearty and the food is fresh! 20/10 will be back regularly!

Google
I’ve been coming here for years! Love love love! I always stick to a coffee and share a 2+2+2 with my partner. We also each get a bagel. You can’t go to Bagel Cove and not have a bagel! We usually have Awilda as our server, she’s nice and attentive.

Google
I don't know about the food because I left. The staff is super rude. Speaks to you on a terrible tone during the seating experience so no point on bothering and staying. Been to much better in the area. Train your team on how to talk to guests. The lady's interactions from the get go were abrasive and rude, proceeded to excuse her behavior and continued screaming outside as we were leaving. No thanks, specially with much better similar eateries in the area

Google
was craving a bagel for so long and decided to go to this place that i see daily while passing by… service took long even if it wasn’t busy at all. order something and didn’t get what i ordered, and the bagel was just good. might give it another try.

Google
This is my go to for Saturday breakfast. The everything bagels are fire! The Cove recently renovated, inside looks nicer and more spacious. Outside was updated too! If you want great service, make sure to ask for Awi when you’re there

Google
First time here and I really enjoy it, I got the Pastrami on rye bread, really good and I got fresh orange juice.

Google
I really don’t think the ratings of this place are fair… The bagels are really tasty and chewy, the servers are so friendly and comforting, and the vibes are exactly what I look for at a deli. Also if you come early you can get a coffee and any bagel with cream cheese for only $5! I can’t wait to be back!

Google
Pretty place. Food not good at all.... we waited 30 mins for precooked bacon that was placed in a warmer. Pancakes were very dry. Pastries hard and cold. My daughter ordered an omelet.. The turkey was processed and the egg was flat she put spinach on the outside of the omelet. We had to ask several times for our items. While she helped others

Yelp
This is the only place I'll ever eat a bagel. I've tried others, but nothing--and I mean nothing--comes close to the flavor, the vibe, and the way they do it here. If it's not from this spot, I don't want it!

Yelp
We had an amazing time at Bagel Cove restaurant & deli while we were visiting from out of town. We happened upon the restaurant and decided to check it out. It also happened to be my son's first birthday! The staff went above and beyond to make my family feel welcomed and to make my son feel celebrated. I don't think I've ever had such a pleasant experience at a restaurant before. Also, the bagels were amazing. I think the best I've ever had. Thank you so much! You've given us such beautiful memories of my son's first birthday to enjoy for years to come.

Yelp
This place was recommend to me by the eye doctor I was at. It was with in walking distance. The place is neat and clean. It has really nice outside seating along with a really good menu. I think the food is just okay. One of the first things they do after you are seated is the bring out a plate of coleslaw and a pickle. If I liked coleslaw this would have been a nice touch. The pickle was good and our server brought out extra pickles for me. My wife had avocado toast on flagle. They don't normally avocado toast on one, but it was listed as a bread choice on the menu. "A mistake on the menu!" See got it with lox. The lox had no flavor and and a few bones. Now ne i had a turkey pastrami sandwich on rye bread. It came with fries and i added on an Israeli salad. The salad and was excellent, very fresh. I asked for the fries to be well done. They came out perfect! Just the way I wanted them. The turkey pastrami was a bit dry but still good. This place is a three star place with lots of potential. Our server was incredible and earned that fourth star for the restaurant.

Yelp
15 employees and no one working except the people actually cooking. Service is a nightmare. People working here have a half a brain cell.

Yelp
spend 180$ on 4 bagels 2 sandwiches 2 knishes, they got the order wrong, food tasted horrible and later that night got food poisoning, was throwing up all night! stay away!

Yelp
Nice sized portion of meat on the turkey melt today. Perfect for a pre-storm meal. Noticed they are now selling danishes. The manager said they are made at the Hallandale location. I got a couple to take home. Their new layout is quite spacious...

Yelp
The worst service I've ever witness. First , we walked in and is like you are invisible. ( not sure if it's because all the staff is over 60-80 years old ) When we actually "interrupted" the lady in the front to ask for a table , we are told without any eye contact to get any table . We sat outside , and 20 minutes passed by before getting the menu, we order 2 coffees , one omelette and a Reuben, the waitress is stress because she's too busy but the place is not even 75% full. After we placed the order at least 50 minutes went by and the order never came. We saw 3 tables that order after us and got the order first but, we didn't even got the coffee at least. First time in my life that I had to stand up with my wife and leave. I wish I could leave less than a star for business like this.

Yelp
Rough. Just rough. Ordered on yelp, got there they said they've never seen this before. They were empty inside and Took them 10 minutes to find the order.... Took them another 15 to make it. 15 minutes to make two bagels and cream cheese, no egg, no toppings, just bagel and cream cheese. That with a Natalie's juice came up to $29. There are much better places to order bagels from in Miami, and with better service. This just wasn't it. 3 stars because the bagels and vegan cream cheese were actually quite tasty.

Yelp
This place is the Wild West. The service was pretty bad. The staff was disorganized and we weren't seen for over 10 minutes. The food was decent and the portions were good size. The atmosphere of this place is hard to put into words. There were waitresses yelling at people, homeless people, women with beards, and people taking each others seats. I'm not from down here but I think the best way to describe this place is simply, Florida

Marni S.

Yelp
Best service from Duke!!!! Came in looking for a whole wheat bagel after they had sold out. Duke went above and beyond to scrape off the everything seasoning of a ww everything so my sister could have exactly what she wanted. 10/10 service, left with the biggest smile on my face. THANK YOU, DUKE!!
google avatar

Yelp
Old school Jewish deli with decent food and massive attitudes. I would also never order uber eats from them or call for pick up. They have accepted orders only to cancel them hours later (yes hours) They are yet another establishment that thinks of themselves first and customers second. This review is based on over 20 years going here try bagel bar down the raid friendlier and if you order from them then and the accept the order you will get it

Yelp
I love a mom and pop restaurant and was really excited to try this place . While I will rave about the cheese blintzes that I actually ended up adding side of blueberries and side of cottage cheese. Basically created my own but let me tell you my creation ended up being so good! So highly recommend doing it my way and you won't be disappointed. I also ordered eggs with potatoes and sausage. Don't hate me for being honest but potatoes definitely need a little bit more love on the seasoning. You know give it the extra delish to every bite . Besides the food the service was good, as far as the ambience it's nothing fancy like I said a mom and pop restaurant.

M S.

Yelp
This place is run by a bunch of rank amateurs. They are rude, dismissive and have no concept of customer service. We have given them ample chances and they get it wrong every time. The last straw was a delivery we got this morning for a family brunch. They threw cold bagels into a huge bag and sent it along with a nasty note. Thankfully there are a zillion kosher restaurants now in south Florida that have breakfast options.
google avatar

Eric S.

Yelp
They are located in a shopping center. Very hard to find spaces. That should've been a sign. It took the server 10 minutes just to bring a menu. I told her I don't need a menu, I know what I want. Corned beef on rye, sour pickle, coleslaw, and a diet cream soda. Some of my favorite things in life. She said I could get a half a corned beef and a cup of soup. I said yes and the soup happened to be lentil. The soup was cold and tasteless. The corned beef sandwich was dry and just not good . Just observing the establishment. The table next to me received the wrong salad and complained about the soup!!

Yelp
Loved the restaurant in the past! Food is good but the service horrible! Came in someone served water then sat for 10-15 min and no one took our order. Asked for service and no one showed up so our group walked out??
google avatar

Yelp
It's Thursday and half the restaurant is empty and the service is slow and unfriendly! The breakfast was awful and no one to fill my coffee ! I'll stick to Moe's where they give Danish and they are super friendly!
google avatar

Jose M.

Yelp
I've found my favorite bagel place in Miami. The bagels are soft and chewy, toppings on top and bottom, you get a big scoop of cream cheese and the service is great .

Yelp
I'm giving this spot a three out of five! The food was actually pretty good but the service and cleanliness brought it down for me. So I ordered the challah French toast with two eggs fried and bacon. The bacon was a slightly over cooked for me and very over cooked for my friend. The meal overall for us was pretty good! Before sitting and placing our orders, we chose an outdoor table. They didn't offer to clean it and so I cleaned my own table. They may have been understaffed outdoors. Not sure! Inside, the lady at the register pretty much sneered at me and wasn't friendly at all. She didn't ask me how my meal was or talked to me at all when I paid my tab. Also, I was pretty disappointed that they had no challah bread. They only had challah rolls for sale. Overall, if you're hungry- you'll get good breakfast here.

Yelp
The service was terrible. The waitress forgot the orange juice and bacon. The bagels were not properly toasted. The French toast with corn flakes was soggy. The inside of the restaurant is run down and the ceilings feel like they are going to cave in. The pastries were flavourless and undercooked. I will never return. This place used to be a miami staple for me.

Yelp
The set up of this place is kinda confusing. The building is currently undergoing construction so make sure you enter on the left side, further away from Biscayne Blvd. The restaurant was very busy with seats filled inside and outside. It's kind of confusing when you enter. There is a deli counter in the back, a coffee counter, and a cashier counter. We just wanted bagels, and it appeared they normally have a variety to choose from, but many of the options were not available. Same with their cream cheeses. The bagels were fine. The chive cream cheese that my bf got was really good.

Helene G.

Yelp
The food is not great, but the service needs improvement. Waited for an hr to be served, on the patio. Had a corn beef sandwich on rye bread that fell apart.

Yelp
It's close by for me, it has a lot of bagels, a lot of restaurant space and an expansive menu with great sounding items to get lost in. We were looking for a breakfast place and had walked in after 11am on a Sunday, and the restaurant, both inside and outside, were 70% filled. The weather was nice outside, so we opted to sit in the covered patio. We did have to ask our server twice and another server once to lower the shade on the patio since the sun was beating down on his back. It turns out that the shade is power operated and needed the manager to retrieve the remote for it, which we didn't find out until the third time we requested for it to be lowered. We just got "okay" as a response for all 3 times. Our server appeared busy from the beginning to the end of our meal. She mentioned twice to us that she was very busy with all of the diners she has in the area. She appeared inconvenienced to be serving us, which you could tell when she mechanically stopped by to quickly ask if everything was good but was caught off guard by the shade lower request and a hot sauce request. Like I mentioned, the menu is large and offers a lot of varieties of breakfast and lunch items, from omelettes to avocado toast to breakfast sandwiches and wraps to deli sandwiches, soups and salads, and more. I got a vegetable omelette ($14) which comes with a side choice of fruit, hash browns, salad or a bagel. What I didn't realize is that when I asked for a bagel, it carried an extra charge instead of being included in the order pricing. The bagel also came sliced and toasted with the inside scooped out, which I didn't ask for but worked well with since I was able to eat all of it. The omelette was large and satisfying for my hungry self, but I had to laugh at the presentation. I had a choice of cheese between Swiss, American and Provolone, and the provolone I had ordered was clearly sliced cheese that was slapped on the omelette since it had that sheet like look. There was plenty of cheese in and on the omelette, along with a healthy amount of chopped vegetables like broccoli, mushrooms, spinach. But it came off bland, as if there were no other seasoning besides a little salt. I had to ask for hot sauce to give it a little flavor. I have been really surprised to look over to the next table of a family that just left, and they had not finished any of their food. Their plates had half of the pancakes, bacon, omelette, and bagel left. After having their food, I understood the want to do so. We agreed that the place and food got the job done for our hungry selves. Would it be our first place to return? Maybe only when they have their breakfast pricing before 10am, but otherwise probably not. Who knows, maybe you'll have a better experience here. If you're close by, it's worth one stop by.

T M.

Yelp
the food was ok but way to burnt and it was to hard to cut through my waffle and the service was bad they didn't bring out my bagel

Jim S.

Yelp
For a place that begins it's name with "Bagel", you'd think that would have great bagels... NOT! Their bagels just don't cut it. As for their food, it was nothing special simply OK. I have to say their counter service is great. The guys behind the counter are quick, witty and know how to please the customer. Not so, for the table service. Their servers are indifferent to your needs and all seem to want to be somewhere else. The atmosphere is also blah. Kind of like eating in a cafeteria in school. Not a place I would recommend.

Susan n.

Yelp
The outdoor seating was nice, but unfortunately that doesn't make unfortunately the awful food & service. The kids ordered cho players milk, they brought hot chocolate. I ordered scrambled eggs with cheddar and I swear they took already cooked eggs and put a slice of cheese on top. The sausage links were deep fried - huh?? Sent them back for bacon & received what tasted like old, reheated bacon. The oatmeal with blueberries was good. Honestly, this was one of the worst breakfast places I have ever been to. I didn't think you could screw up basic things like eggs & bacon, but they managed to.
google avatar

Sean B.

Yelp
Terrible service when it comes to ordering to go orders. Several minutes after ordering food and it should be arriving you get a message that the restaurant cancelled your order because they can't get to it!

Alex C.

Yelp
The service was loud and brash. They were fighting about time off. Many servers but the food came out slowly. Bathroom floor was dirty and sticky. So sad to see a historic local icon fall in this way.

Wanda M.

Yelp
Went there for breakfast. The place was empty. The food was very good but the service was terrible. No one seemed to care. I won't go back- too many other choices.
google avatar

Natasha V.

Yelp
Paula Paula Paula she's the best. She made us feel right at home and was very welcoming. I had the mini cornflakes French toast. They were very moist and delicious. Definitely nothing mini about them ;) my partner had the corn beef hash with two egg over easy cooked to perfection. We also had a delicious cup of freshly squeezed oj. And two bagels, an everything and a pumpernickel!! The ambiance was nice and seemed they had many regulars.
google avatar

Ellie W.

Yelp
I try and try again to come here and every single time there are so many issues. While ordering we are told not to order the bagel chips they're stale...this is the waitress telling us this. Then 5 minutes later we are told they don't have chicken for the chicken wrap. Whether it's bringing out peoples food all at different times, and when the food is finally delivered we are alerted that they don't have turkey, we have been waiting 30 minutes now and youre just finding out you have no turkey? Which is one of the daily specials. This seems like something we should have been told immediately. So now everyone has their meals but one person and the pressure is on to pick something we can only home will be quick just so we can get our food and leave as soon as we can The food is lack luster. The matzo ball soup....nothing to write home about. The waitress tried to hold us off by giving us potato salad and coleslaw. I don't want that..thus it's wasteful. The lack of people working there is the excuse they've been using since the start of Covid and I frankly don't think it's an excuse anymore. They need a complete overhaul and waiters and kitchen staff who are moving to get the food out instead of the dilly dallying around. Final thoughts Don't go wasting your time there because you'll be there for a while waiting for food to be delivered one plate at a time in 10 minute intervals.
google avatar

Maria Isina A.

Yelp
The food is delicious. They have Sandwiches and bakery as well as salads and soups. It is a cute bagel place with options to dine in or take out. The layout looks like you are in a Golden Girls show. Great grilled pastrami sandwich with sauercrout and French fries. Significant portions, affordable prices. Don't go looking for a healthy meal but a hearty one, inside and outside seating. The facility was clean; the staff was wearing masks and gloves--a good option in Aventura.

Angela K.

Yelp
This place was exactly what we were looking for to eat for breakfast! Their bagels were one of the best we've ever had! They were definitely fresh and so big! Their cream cheese was also freshly mixed with onion and they loaded up my bagel with the perfect amount. Husband loved their bagel breakfast sandwich. Very friendly staff. Even though it seemed more of a sit down place, they got us out to go order really fast! Would love to come back here!

Carolyn T.

Yelp
I was very disappointed with their food. Have been going there on & off for years. Been wanting a pastrami sandwich for a while so decided to go there. The pastrami was more than dry and tasteless and after 3 bites I concluded it was not edible. I'm looking for a good establishment to buy a tasty not dried out pastrami sandwich.
google avatar

Suzanna E.

Yelp
Excellent food, friendly and very accommodating service! I had the pumpernickel bagel with whitefish salad. I tried both their coleslaw and potato salad with two different pickles as the appetizer before receiving my bagel platter. I tried several pastries and took three pastries home. I highly recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food and friendly helpful staff.
google avatar

Sue F.

Yelp
I don't live in Aventura, but I like to visit. When I am there, a visit to Bagel Cove is a must. They have the best bagels and they will prepare them however you want. My mouth waters when I think about their eggs, nova and Onion scramble. I love Pumpernickel bagels! What I wouldn't give for one now! Please go to Bagel cove and have one for me!! Toasted with a schmear!
google avatar

Danielle T.

Yelp
BARBARA IS THE BEST WAITRESS!!!! Loved her!!!!! Super charismatic and sweet! Thank you for the beautiful service! AMAZING HOME FRIES & the bagels were home made fresh!!!
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Came here when I needed a quick breakfast before work. Everyone is friendly and they serve quickly. The have inside and a nice patio seating to enjoy your cup of coffee. Best part is the morning special (open-10:30 everyday : 12oz hot coffee with bagel and cream cheese for $1.99) I like to get the strawberry cream cheese because of the fresh strawberry chunks and that adds an extra dollar. Highly recommend! Bagels are soft and they are always generous with the cream cheese.
google avatar

D C.

Yelp
Never again ..who ever took over (we have been away from area for a while). Has no idea how to run or make Jewish deli food or bagels. Hence why it's not busy!! Much better paced around!

Debra W.

Yelp
Great food whitefish salad special huge and delicious. Hammy Miami great. Our waitress Julie was fantastic. Totally enjoyable experience
google avatar

Dave S.

Yelp
Food - really good traditional Jewish deli. Service - can be challenging to wait for someone to get to you, but someone will get to you sooner or later. Especially when the patio is super-busy.
google avatar

Kelly T.

Yelp
I've been coming to bagel cove since I was little and I will continue to come every-time I visit Miami. The food and bagels are consistently good. Today I got the Two Eggs Any Style. The eggs were surprisingly tasty; large batches of eggs are usually pretty average tasting. This plate also came with home fries and sausage and a bagel. A very filling meal. We also got some brownie cookies were the perfect dessert. If you like the corners of the brownies pan you will love these cookies; soft and gooey in the middle and crunchy on the outside. Our server was amazing but they are so popular so the service is pretty slow. The bagels are pretty good. I just wished they had more flavors, maybe something sweet like blueberry or chocolate chip or French toast.
google avatar

Krizia C.

Yelp
Review for take out only: took 45 minutes to get two bagel egg and cheese sandwiches. Legit bagel toasted egg and cheese. The bagels came soggy eggs undercooked legit inedible and took forever. It would've been quicker for me to buy eggs and a bagel from Publix cook them at home and save money. Never again.
google avatar

Joey J.

Yelp
I've tried all the breakfast joints in the area. I've settled here as my morning go-to. Not because they have an extravagant setting or menu, but because the staff is super friendly and they let me have my dog sit next to me. The bacon is crispy, the eggs are tasty, the bagels are fresh, and the senior crowd here is funnier than Netflix stand-up comedy.
google avatar

Jose R.

Yelp
Man, 208 Reviews (to date) and only 3 stars. If you're like me, you depend on our trusty Yelp app to guide you in you're search of good dining, especially when you're out of town. Reading through the mixed reviews I decided to sheck-id-out mang... It did NOT disappoint! Walk in and the place has a New York City fast-paced vibe to it. Homemade bagels line the ordering wall. There's a cashier on the right as you walk in who rings everyone up; akin to almost any 'real' diner. Sat down and perused the Cheese Cake Factory style menu - it's an encyclopedia folks. I couldn't decide until the waiter mentioned they serve fries during breakfast time - done and done. This is something rare in FL - have no idea why. Breakfast was great - over easy eggs, crispy fries... All is good, but let's talk about the bagel. Mmmmm, mmmm, mmmmmm!! I had an Everything bagel. It was toasted to perfection. Some cream cheese spread and then I bit into this thick soft doughy middle with a nicely toasted outside texture. Check it out folks! The pic says it all!! Oh! And do order the fresh squeezed orange juice. They've got this McGyver style machine that auto squeezes the juice to perfection. All in all - great visit. Do it! Later peeps..

Yelp
Two stars because it's obviously a really authentic Jewish deli kind of place, however paying $20 for a lox bagel just seems beyond ridiculous and it wasn't even that great.... won't be returning.
google avatar

Ashley F.

Yelp
Classic bagel deli in aventura. In addition to the classic flavors they also have rainbow neon bagels all year long. They had these Halloween themed bagels this year and you know I had to get them. The bagel dough was the perfect consistency, and the cream cheese was tasty, fresh, and had the perfect amount of scallions. Pictured Halloween bagel with chives cream cheese

Karl J.

Yelp
Great staff, reasonably priced , my go to diner for breakfast. Breakfast usual comes with voice of bagels sides etc. food served fast and fresh.
google avatar

Jay P.

Yelp
Generous portions. Good quality. Great prices n service. My wife n I enjoyed breakfast, a veggie omelette n bagel and pancakes n sausage. No complaints at all!

J G.

Yelp
I got an $18 hot pastrami sandwich for take out. My mistake was that I did not check it before I left. I trusted I would not have to like when I get one from the Bagel Bar. This was by far the saddest pastrami sandwich I have ever seen. Not only was it puny, super small and not piled high like they normally are from other Jewish Delis, it was mostly fat. I have had other good meals there but this was absolutely ridiculous and such a rip off that I felt I had to leave a review. Btw the service is great and not their fault at all.
