Yelp
It's close by for me, it has a lot of bagels, a lot of restaurant space and an expansive menu with great sounding items to get lost in. We were looking for a breakfast place and had walked in after 11am on a Sunday, and the restaurant, both inside and outside, were 70% filled. The weather was nice outside, so we opted to sit in the covered patio. We did have to ask our server twice and another server once to lower the shade on the patio since the sun was beating down on his back. It turns out that the shade is power operated and needed the manager to retrieve the remote for it, which we didn't find out until the third time we requested for it to be lowered. We just got "okay" as a response for all 3 times.
Our server appeared busy from the beginning to the end of our meal. She mentioned twice to us that she was very busy with all of the diners she has in the area. She appeared inconvenienced to be serving us, which you could tell when she mechanically stopped by to quickly ask if everything was good but was caught off guard by the shade lower request and a hot sauce request.
Like I mentioned, the menu is large and offers a lot of varieties of breakfast and lunch items, from omelettes to avocado toast to breakfast sandwiches and wraps to deli sandwiches, soups and salads, and more. I got a vegetable omelette ($14) which comes with a side choice of fruit, hash browns, salad or a bagel. What I didn't realize is that when I asked for a bagel, it carried an extra charge instead of being included in the order pricing. The bagel also came sliced and toasted with the inside scooped out, which I didn't ask for but worked well with since I was able to eat all of it. The omelette was large and satisfying for my hungry self, but I had to laugh at the presentation. I had a choice of cheese between Swiss, American and Provolone, and the provolone I had ordered was clearly sliced cheese that was slapped on the omelette since it had that sheet like look. There was plenty of cheese in and on the omelette, along with a healthy amount of chopped vegetables like broccoli, mushrooms, spinach. But it came off bland, as if there were no other seasoning besides a little salt. I had to ask for hot sauce to give it a little flavor.
I have been really surprised to look over to the next table of a family that just left, and they had not finished any of their food. Their plates had half of the pancakes, bacon, omelette, and bagel left. After having their food, I understood the want to do so.
We agreed that the place and food got the job done for our hungry selves. Would it be our first place to return? Maybe only when they have their breakfast pricing before 10am, but otherwise probably not. Who knows, maybe you'll have a better experience here. If you're close by, it's worth one stop by.
