Bagel King

I live in North London, but I like to visit when I’m in South. Hadn’t been in a while (under 2 years), but the prices have gone up & the portions down (like most places tbf). 7£ for an Ackee & saltfish bagel, 7£!!! Back in the day you could see bagel, filling & then bagel. If the whole wasn’t in the middle, I couldn’t tell (by sight) what kind of bagel it was. Lincoln's Patisserie is on my road, so fresh patty’s whenever. But the cheesy beef (£2.70p) from Bagel King, was horrible. I don’t even know if they gave me just a beef patty, the cheese was nonexistent. Not fresh, looked like it was from a patty factory, but along they way. The quality, taste & texture left the chat.

Bagel King is an absolute gem! Open 24/7, this spot serves fantastic food with amazing and fast service at any hour of the day or night. I recently stopped by and ordered a chicken bagel and the bread and custard pudding, and I was blown away by the flavors. Every bite of the chicken bagel was packed with flavor, and the meat was perfectly seasoned. The bread and custard pudding was a delightful surprise—it melted in my mouth, and I could taste the rich, creamy texture in every bite. What makes Bagel King even better is the super reasonable pricing. You get great quality food without breaking the bank, which is always a plus. I highly recommend Bagel King to anyone looking for delicious food and quick, friendly service. Whether it’s day or night, this place has you covered!

Bagel King is definitely one of my favourite places to order takeaway from. I’ve definitely had bagel king 12+ times and the food has never once disappointed . I wouldn’t even say I’ve ever tried anything that I didn’t like. I’ve tried the curry goat, jerk chicken with jollof, beef&cheese patties, jerk chicken bagels, mac & cheese croquettes , lamb samosas, barbecue buffalo wings, the bagel king special wings , coleslaw and their slushies and all have been delicious . I think it’s good value for money, they’re always quick, it’s always nice and they’re open until late which is handy. They used to do these amazing garlic oxtail buns which I would love for them to bring back if possible but overall , I’m a huge fan.

Ordered through uber eats and had 5 bagels and 2 Jamaican patties missing. Spoke to store and they were no help at all. Will not ever order again. Absolutely poor service. If I could leave no stars I would.

Only been in store once but order on Uber eats all the time. Bagels are consistently 10/10 quality and I really like the patties too. The cookies warmed up are also ridiculous. Love the slushes. Defo my favourite takeaway plus doesn’t feel unhealthy as the jerk chicken bagel has chunks of grilled chicken thigh which aren’t oily and perfectly cooked.

Ive only ordered and not been in person, however haven’t had a good experience once. The meal boxes they do are not good, the plantain soggy and cold, the rice always flavourless, and the jerk chicken came from a packet. The cinnamon rolls tasted like they were made 6 years ago, crumbling to dust when I bit them, moreover they taste more like marzipan than cinnamon. The chicken escalope bagel was a joke, literally chicken and bagel, no salad, no mayo, the bagel wasn’t even buttered. The food here is bad if you need food at 6am go here otherwise don’t waste your money.

Price and variety is decent, however during a recent visit I didn't like the way the worker (from Kazakhstan) was looking at my daughter, I mentioned that she was 12 and he *joked that he would 'have to wait 6 years'! Very uncomfortable, weird and questioning behaviour!

Absolutely terrible. Everything we ordered was trash. Bagel and cream cheese should be easy. Who microwaves a bagel and cream cheese?? It was a soggy soupy mess. Chicken sandwich was horrible. Donuts all stale. Can't possibly rate lower

When in need, this place puts out. Open late, maybe even 24 hours. But in the wee hours of the morning, desperate to fill an empty belly full only of beer, this place does it! The first time I went here, I had a sloppy bagel full of goo. It was okay. But last time I was here, I had the salt beef. And to my surprise, tasted like something from NYC. Looking forward to my next trip friday night/saturday morning! I'm having the salt beef!

Talk about a fortuitous encounter. 12 hours left in London, an empty stomach, and £9.39 to my name. I needed something that would both satiate me for the moment and leave me enough to have something resembling breakfast tomorrow before hopping on the Tube to Heathrow. Enter the Bagel King, where I obtained a hot lamb samosa for the most attractive sum of £1.10. It was greasiness incarnate - seriously forcing me to reevaluate the meaning of the word as I knew it - but for all that it was hearty, spicy, and exactly what my grumbling stomach needed. Also, it was roughly the size of my face. You can't beat that, now. So thanks go to the Bagel King, whom I shall remember dearly next time I find myself in the armpit of Elephant & Castle.

Bagel King has never failed me yet to fulfill a late night munch. Early in the AM after a good party or Road trip. First Stop; Bagel King for Patty & Coco bread or a Caribbean meal. The food is tasty and portions are good. Staff are Okay although they could improve on their customer service skills. Ps- They also sell Milkshakes, Buns and cakes.

The best thing about this place is its open for 24 hours, which was great for picking up a quick snack on my way for an early flight. Certainly not the best bagels I've ever had but they do serve other things here such as patties and the biggest cream filled cakes with thick icing imaginable. There are numerous fillings for the bagels and if appropriate they will ask if you want it heated. During the weekends you get a few late night revellers getting food as it's just over a ten minute walk from the Ministry of Sound, obviously a lot quicker if you're driving or took the bus.

Feeling hungry after a wicked night!! From veggie to meat loves... Bagel king is open 24hrs, Very funny guys who served in there.. The jerk chicken with coleslaw is the best & dessert bun & cheese....yummy..!

Well, they're microwaved bagels with who knows how old sandwich spread. I think that says it all.

It's good for what it is - a 24hour place where you can get bagels, chicken & rice, cakes of different varieties. Basically all good alcohol-soaking food. Also good for when you haven't had any dinner and the shops are all closed.

Cheap and cheerful- a slightly healthier alternative to the other late night kebab shops. The food is generously sized and cheap, though i'm not sure how fresh it is! As the other reviewer said, the donuts and cakes are HUGE! Roughly the size of a victoria sandwich I would say and covered in icing and cream. A cheap and filling snack that is open all hours!

Loads of choice of bagel fillings to cakes and custard with drinks like carrot juice and Guinness punch mmmm... but a favourite for me on the way home from a club or bar for a quick bite

Last night was my 2nd visit to Bagel king for years...All I had was a beef Pattie,was still hungry so I went back and bought 6 BBQ chicken wings. Those wings gave me food poisoning messed me up all night and it's now morning and still got bad diahorrea and pounding headache similar to a hang over...The first time I bought your Jerk chicken it was all pink inside and not cooked. Never again!!!!!! Guys, please don't get caught out in the hype about the legacy of this place and how long it's been there bla bla bla because clearly the original bagel king owners who prepared fresh food properly from 2003/4 are not present today and these young guys serving food don't give a damn about the quality of food they are serving you....There's kebab shops that's been in the area way before bagel king ...So what!!! My health was put at risk and they will keep feeding those poor kids that flock their shop all day with old expired meat which devastated me. 13:30 in the afternoon and I'm still in pain/bed bound , I have never been this sick all year..I'm surprised bagel king haven't been shut down. 6 bloody chicken wings!!!!!!! Not happy Bagel King - Improve your food quality/hygiene or you could cause death by food poisoning!!! Mainly salmonella

named bagel king but iv never had thier bagle, also open 24hrs but only ever eat here between 1am and 5am! i love the hot food served here. jerk chicken and rice is a favorite good juices too. definitely a healthier after club option. its a notorious hangout but put the rumours aside and youll enjoy your time and food here.
